Issue was that i made reservation more than a week ahead, and then the day before, i was called that the equipment was no longer available, and i had to drive an excessive distance if i wanted what i reserved. I chose to go with a smaller truck, which increased my difficulty in moving what i needed. U-Haul should NOT make reservations that they can't carry out.
MICHAEL WThe overall experience was just short horrible. The recommended mover from your site was 3 hrs late, arrived alone, and didn't complete the packing until 930p or later. I quit looking. Your guaranteed arrival date was originally the 16th. Did not make it to my house until the 22nd. I was notified at some point it would be the 20th from Pasco. There was no driver to deliver so lost my mover because of prior commitments. When I found someone to unload I had to take a delivery on the 22nd. The only bright spot on the whole experience was the person who delivered the boxes to my home. Very good at placing the boxes, very friendly and helpful. They also arranged for the pick-up the next day which was prompt and pleasantly uneventful! Your website is also not very user-friendly. There was nothing that I saw about no antiques until I was expected to sign the contract at the end, the inside interior measurement was incorrect in at least one of the boxes. I could go on but I'm done with uhaul. This us my last move. No recommendations from me!
Susan TThe trailer i rented from this center leaked alot of my boxes and thing got all wet. I was told there is no ins i could put on this item or i would of. The top of the trailer was covered with gray duck tape where the leaks were So the uhaul center had to know about this before it was rented to me. My understanding that it is totally illegal to have this done. So know not happy about this whole ordeal and shame on the uhaul company for having this happen to there customers. The people at the uhaul center working were very nice and very helpful.

The moving service recommended on the web site was helpful. The movers were nice, efficient. We will definitely use U Haul service again in the future.
NHAN NThe truck I received shock really bad at any speed…drop off location recommended took us 1,5 hours away on curvy back roads that were hard to drive through in such a large truck that shook everywhere plus it had almost 90k Millie on it.

ROY AWindows were very dirty. The vehicle's battery was old and the truck would not start on the return trip. Roadside assistance took two hours which caused us to pay for a hotel overnight. Please provide a number to call so I can request a credit for the cost of the hotel stay.
JOSE SThe manager there, whose name is Tom, is rude, disrespectful to customers, and speaks angrily. He made us wait for 15 minutes and did not help us until a person named John came. He is very respectful and helped us. He is kind and smiling, and better than the manager in everything.

JOHN LI went to a different U-Haul location and the guy was not inside the store. As I was leaving, I noticed the guy was on his phone by the garage/ mechanical area. But with the Beach BLVD location, I was greeted as I was walking to the store and that made me feel welcome. I definitely going back to the U-haul in the Beach BLVD.
Alvaro CJohn was extremely helpful and kind. He did not hesitate to jump right in to help complete my transaction when a fellow associates computer froze. I have used the location in Huntington Beach on Beach Boulevard many times before, and they are always so condescending with poor customer service. I will absolutely use this location Again if needed in the future and will refer this location to anyone moving.

My only complaint is that I had gone to a location that was 2 miles from my apartment to make arrangements and then was told to access pick up at a location that was across town. I'm a senior citizen and wanted the closer location.

In THIS case I was attempting to close out my storage unit in a BILLING TIMELY MANNER (cloed it and surrendered content on AUGUST 10TH)...BUT ACKNOWLEDGMENYS & PAPERWORK NOT ISSUED UNTIL AUGUST 12TH. THE CLOSE OUT THEN IMPLIED UHAUL TOO THE TRANSACTION THRU THE NEXT MONTH'S BILLING CYCLE. This extended my transaction an EXTRA month and defeated my intent to close the account when no future billing was due.

We had a few issues with the reservation we made for a truck rental and pick-up at a different location, and he was able to smooth everything perfectly for us, even going so far as helping us with an additional rental and letting us use his own towing tools for the day. We will never go to any other U-Haul other than this one, as long as we live in this area, whenever we may need transportation and/or storage solutions in the future! Thank you again!! ♡

Mistakes happen, but this one should have been rectified right away. It took me numerous phone calls to get a return phone call. other than that, I was very satisfied, but that was a deal breaker.

That is a ridiculous idea for storage units. "Hey Janet, do you want to need to drop things at storage at the same time? We can tie my stuff on the roof since you drive a Mini!" Duh. I don't know anyone at that unit anyway! So I guess the place could do with more parking but that seems unrealistic. I am a little concerned that I will find it tough to access my space a certain times of day. Meanwhile I will be trying it to see.

When I arrived exhausted from an 8 hour one way trip from Chico CA, I found that my storage unit had a leak & was no longer available for my things. I had friends with me who had volunteered to help me empty the U Haul truck and we were all very tired..I became frustrated & started to cry a bit from exhaustion. Megan was so so wonderful..she was very quick to offer as many Pods and locks as needed so that I cud at least in load the truck. She went way above and beyond in the way she spoke and helped & treated me like a person and a friend instead of just "a customer" She also offered to move the pods anytime I needed to access my things & make it convenient to get to them. She then also followed up with me when a unit finally did become avail and was able to set up a date and help me get checked in the day I came back to move it all in. Aaron [the Mgr] was also wonderful and compensated me fairly for the double labor. I am so grateful to Megan for being so amazing..she really represented U Haul well and I will be a lifelong customer because of how her actions made me feel about your brand name. But more than anything..please allow her to feel as appreciated as she made me feel that day. PLEASE honor her with some sort of special gift and recognition for going above and beyond. Elevator to storage units did not work for months and suddenly I received an email stating I'm being charged more due to the quality of their work… makes no sense. What quality when the elevator didn't work for months? On top of that the card reader for checking in and out by the storage elevators didn't work either so you have to check in in the main building. Not sure why the upcharge was there. Move out process was also a pain. Had to talk to 3 different people before being able to properly move out of my unit.

That peace of mind is not easily available just anywhere but U-Haul Moving & Storage Of Midway gave me that.

I was offered free 30 day storage when I rented a moving truck and when I got there, I was greeted by a friendly face named Megan! She is one badass woman who was beyond helpful. She even helped me move a quarter of a car into my storage unit! She brought us some snacks and waters throughout the day and was nothing but helpful during a stressful time. But I see in my paperwork that I was charged for the first month, So I need to get this cleared up. Yesterday I went there at 5pm not knowing that the place closes early, so I'll have to go back today to pick up some things I need.

I would give less for how DIFFICULT it was to contact the people at the facility, and that it was not AT ALL DISCLOSED to me that my storage unit rate would continuously increase. I moved (due to military) to another country, and was unable to reach ANYONE via phone or email until I could call uhaul corporate.

The only thing I was displeased about was the information regarding Storage Access hours. On the email, storage access hours says it's from 5am-10pm; however, I came to the unit on Saturday around 9pm, and there was no access into the building (the garage was closed). The next day, I got to the unit and saw a sign near the elevator with storage access hours closing at 7pm, instead of 10pm like the email said. Tom explained that access into the building closes at 7pm, but you have until 10pm to leave the building. However, that wouldn't make sense for the 5am opening time for access hours? If the building doesn't open until 7am, how is someone supposed to have access at 5am? The information in the email is very misleading. Please correct the information in the email. This would be very useful for future first-time customers.

We depend on this facility for secure, & clean storage, we now have 3. We really appreciate your communication regarding any situation, like when we failed to throw the latch over far enough on one of our units. We even placed the lock on it and didn't realize it wasn't over completely. Store manager Aaron alerted us with a phone call within 24 hours. We went down there and with the assistance of a employee, locked the unit correctly. That is so impressive and extremely important. Thanks again keep up the good work!

Andrell G | Expérience généraleThe cleanliness of the facility, the amenity of the elevator and carts, the security features, and most importantly the staff made this the best uhaul experience we have even had. Most times that we interact with the uhaul brand the staff is disinterested and a bit short with clients, but this was not the case here. Bravo to the team at this location. The one comment for improvement would be the layout of the yard for getting into the storage until loading zone. If the tow trailers could be moved elsewhere that would make the logistics of coming in and out much easier. It is a small space though, so the challenges are understood.
