Robert B.The staff at this location is excellent - Dominic was incredibly helpful. Two major complaints: the 15' truck I rented was nasty. Smelled horrible, the cab was covered in dirt and grime. Secondly, the truck was given to us with an incredibly low fuel tank, I was worried it would run out before making it to the nearest gas station. Otherwise, the experience with the U-Boxes was excellent, they were prepared and ready for us, and the staff were very quick to help us out and answer questions.

It's understandable that online pickup is sometimes efficient and it saves you money but if something goes wrong with the online process, customers are left confused and without help. The online chat feature is very slow and I found their answers to be vague.

In the past I rented Uhaul that I can drop off anywhere that is nearby but after learning about this I had to make a trip back to this location paying gas, tolls and mileage twice

mohamed I.This UBox rental was a pain. The ratings are high enough because all of the answers are true, the staff was friendly but extremely unhelpful. UBox containers require permits to park on my street in New York and my new street in California, which I know as the renter I am required to acquire. What UHaul/UBox was UNABLE to help me with was the necessary information to get the permit. I was required to show *UHaul's* proof of insurance for the permit, and spent almost 10 hours trying to find one. Calling my local location (who might have had experience with local permit rules) always redirected me to corporate, who had no idea what I was talking about, or told me I had to get the permit myself. No one was able to send me the proof of insurance, and then was confused why I couldn't secure a permit to park the UBox. My entire order and move was put in jeopardy by these delays. After complaining on social media, a UHaul representative was able to connect us to UHaul's insurer, RepWest, who was able to provide the correct form the city required almost instantly. I find it ridiculous that the insurer could have solved this problem so quickly but nobody in my local UHaul location, nobody on the UHaul "contact us" section, nobody in UHaul Traffic, nobody in the UBox or Moving Help groups was able to help for days because they simply had never heard of getting a permit to park a container on the street before. I have a hard time believing that at all. Due to this, I can't recommend this experience to anyone else unless they have a friend in the city government who can give a permit easily. The only other option was doing my entire move without permits, which puts me and UHaul at risk for a lot of things. I would love if UHaul could at least educate employees on which types of insurance are typically needed to park a UBox and have those employees be able to find/deliver those forms upon request. I know it's my responsibility to secure a permit, but make the tools to get a permit accessible. What would help me even more is if UHaul simply handled acquiring those permits, even if it was at an additional cost to myself. My time is valuable and it was clearly wasted running around for these permits, which I still had to pay for anyway. I'm already stressed enough moving across the country, this added an unnecessary stressor. All UHaul employees were friendly, nice, and respectful, but far too many were just UNABLE to help me at all. I did not feel secure in my move until after all my furniture showed up in California (on-time, with great Moving Help.)
Jonah P.Extremely impressed by the customer service received. The representative was 1 of only 2 very busy employees. He was handling phone calls, storage rentals, u-haul rentals, u-haul returns. No once did he seem irate or bothered. Super friendly and helped each of us with a smile the entire time!!! The return process was quick and simple.

The contract # I had to valid ate the promotion wasnt working. I then called the 1800 number to resolve the issue. I was rest assured that there was no issue and the free month would be applied upon checking into my unit. I complete d my check in online and made my reservation. When I arrived at the facility to check in in was told the promotion ended. At took 2 representatives to finally fix the issue. After resolving that issue, I tried to go to my unit. I wasnt able to access it because the pin code in was given for the gate was incorrect. I then had to return to the deal to get my gate code reset. My check in process took over an hour. And I am a customer who registered fully online and paid in advance.

From just pulling up to the roll up doors and not having to get out of your car the roll up door opens automatically then once inside the bay after swiping in the dollys are there to load my property once in a huge elevator and dropped off at my floor I have access to my unit through a huge roll up door. All the while protected by cameras and a convenient two way intercom where you are in touch with the front desk in seconds. They also gave restrooms on every floor which is great. It is the best storage facility I ever rented from and I rented quite a few. But now all my storage needs will be done at this facility solely. I recommend this facility to everyone including people with disabilities such as myself.

Made multiple phone calls to customer service. Still waiting on phone call from Store manager. The unit was a "handicapped" unit with just a regular 36" door not a roll up "garage door" type. Made for storing items very difficult.
