Great staff; deficient management. I rented a truck here on Jan 6. When I opened the door I found the cab coated in ash, stinking of stale smoke, with a butt stamped out on the dashboard. Pretty gross. When I went inside and told the guy at the counter what I'd found he immediately did everything he could to make it right, including getting his own cleaning supplies out of his car and using them to clean up the cab of the truck. So, great response to rectify a problem that should not have occurred. The response speaks volumes about a conscientious employee whom U-Haul is fortunate to have on the payroll. The problem speaks volumes about failed management that doesn't have effective processes in place to ensure a quality product.
Office was excellent-- clean bathrooms, lots of equipment, efficient and pleasant staff. There was good parking. Easy drop off. Couldn't be better.
Perhaps have more than one staff person and cashier equipment available to checkin or out, more than one customer at a time. I needed to wait for each of my last two rentals. Thanks and happy new year!
UHaul in New Rochelle was outstanding. We left our EXPass in the vehicle and didn't realize it until nearly closing time. We called and the attendant located the truck we returned and recovered our EZPass. He offered to put it in the safe until we were able to retrieve it. Beautiful facility with very helpful staff.

I rented a Cargo Van for 7 weeks picked it up front bumper was hit an and truck was some what clean no big deal because its a work truck. returned it 7 weeks later after 8'of snow fall we had and they said they had to charge me to wash the truck. the roads were full of salt and slash. I feel after renting a van for 7 weeks this was a Pedy charge and should have been waved will never rent from U-Haul again. ,

Training your employees to actually do their job correctly. Making sure equipment is working before customer leaves. Worst experience ever, the truck didn't work it blewout my tail light , the truck didn't have brake lights. I had to drive across the country. I had to order the part from Amazon and wait additional 2 days to leave. No reimbursement for anything. I was under the impression that uhaul is responsible for making sure everything is working before you leave their parking lot. I will never do business with uhaul again.
The young men working this location are very respectful and a pleasure to deal with. I like the fact that I can drive to this location, park my car in the lot and pick up my rental to use.
I went to three vehicles before going on my trip. Just because the first one was sitting on top of ice. The second one was covered with ice. The third was dirty from dashboard to floor. I had to show pictures that I took to the man who checked the vehicles when returned. I am sure you can see the details on my contract. I got to my destination late because of the extra time I had to spend at your location
Let me list it, even though I am 100% sure it will have no effect. with the truck squeezed between 2 other trucks, I was barely able to get in with the door as far opened as possible. The rear door was fully opened, and the interior was not swept well at all. I put an order online that included a dozen moving pads. They were not in the truck. With minimal difficulty, I maneuvered the truck out of the spot, as there was also a truck in front of the one I was renting. I returned the truck and told the rep that I got no pads and He said he would put the credit on my bill. The credit is not on my bill. Laughable service and when in need again, I probably will still use Uhaul, but not this location. I also used the app prior to today, and uploaded pics of my license, yet I had to do it again this morning. Typed this anyway, as I am sure with no remedy in the near future.

The facilities of the Uhaul I picked up were fine, however I had a horrible experience with Uhaul and will likely never be using it again. After booking my Uhaul for Saturday Nov. 28th, I was alerted a few days before the 28th that I would need to pick up my truck in New Rochelle. As this location was very difficult for me to get to, I tried calling numerous other Uhauls closer to me in lower manhattan to see if there were any trucks available. Each time I called a Uhaul location, I was placed on hold for 15-20 minutes, and then transferred at least 2-3 times before actually speaking to the correct scheduler who would quickly tell me that there were no uhauls available (information that should be easy for anyone to answer) but to try calling back closer to the date of my Uhaul pick up to check in again. Each time I called back leading up to the morning of the 28th, I had to go through the same process of speaking to 2-3 different people at each location and waiting for 30+ minutes on hold before being told there wasn't a uhaul available. Eventually, I had to settle for going to New Rochelle to pick up my Uhaul. This would have been fine, as I understand that there were no trucks closer to me available, but it was insane how many hours I wasted trying to get this information. The last straw of my experience with Uhaul, and the reason that I will not be using Uhaul again unless I am somewhat compensated for this experience, was that after explaining to numerous Uhaul reps that I would have to bring my car from New Rochelle, into Lower Manhattan, and then north of New Rochelle again - I was given an additional 30$ charge for additional miles used from my trip to Pittsfield MA. The additional miles used were equal to the miles that I had to drive from New Rochelle to Manhattan and then back again, which I clearly had to use as I was picking the Uhaul up from an inconvenient location, as I had told every Uhaul rep that I spoke to.
When I picked up the truck for my move, the truck sounded bad, not in good condition. When I tried to return the truck at night, it was a headache. I spent more then 30 minutes trying to get ahold of someone because their app wasn't letting me take a picture. After 15 minutes on phone/ hold I finally spoke to someone who had a attitude and put me on hold again. Only nice person was the 2nd person/ representative I spoke to, she was helpful... informative and nice. Only nice person. Then just now was on hold for 15 minutes to try to make a payment at the New Rochelle, NY location and when the guy came on... his name is Ventura... I said to him but not in a bad or rude way... he was like can I help you... I said I was on hold for 15 minutes by the way... all he said was I know... I can see how long and how many minutes it's been... didn't apologize or nothing..!!! Are you serious..??? You cant even at least say sorry and you give a smart ass comment like that. You have a customer service job and this how you deal with customers, and again I wasn't even rude or mean about it like I could have been if I wanted to or I bet they deal with on daily basis with worse.And this not the 1st time had a rude representative from there/ that location talk to me in bad way. One day after I moved on Wednesday the 11th, I called to speak to someone about my bill, this young Spanish speaking guy/ kid was very rude in how he talked and was dealing with me, my wife was next to me and heard the whole conversation. I didn't want to speak to him no more and said would call back another day. I didn't deserve this, had a unit with them in New Rochelle for 1 year and 1/2 and have rented 2 trucks with them. Very disappointed and it's messed up. And it's funny because if for some reason I couldn't reach someone to make my payment then I was going to get a $30 late fee, funny how that works. Will never use U-Haul again, rude customer service workers both at location and on phone. If you don't like or can't speak to customers well, then get another job. Again won't use you guys ever again.!!!!!!
The experience was better than I expected. The associate was amazing, very helpful and very pleasant to work with. I can't find anything to change as the experience was perfect for me.
