Less than 24 hours before our appointment I was told that my original location would not have my reserved equipment at the time I requested it. So it was either take a truck that was half the size I needed or wait until 2 pm (8 hours after the time i needed it). They also offered me the truck I requested at a completely different location which ended up adding miles to my trip and overages on the reservation. In the end it worked out, but added to the stress of my move.Kevin B.

I reserved the truck for 6 hours, the mobile check in didn't work, I had to wait in line do by the time that was all finished I only had the truck for 5 hours, I estimated 28 miles driving and actually only drove 20 but was charged for the full amount, I even refilled the gas with more than what was necessary but was not given any type of discountKaren M.
We had reserved for the 2 days after my daughter's wedding. The very next dayâ€¦ early Sunday morning we rushed to make a quick call to UHaul to change our original request. Ever part of changing the reservation and assisting us was prefect. My husband and I our truly appreciative to the Customer Service reps that listen (we had a ton of wedding decor and supplies that needed transportation) to the UHaul reps in Niagara Falls! Gentleman I picked up the rental from was stressed because the trucks were over booked for the day, I had a great experience but it was unfair to him and the customer or two he had to turn away even though they had reserved a truck online. Uhaul should do a better job of re-allocating the trucks to match the rental demand, or prohibit customers from booking trucks if there's no inventory.DOMENICANTHONY Z.

Highly disappointed with UHaul in general NOT this location. Placed a reservation on 6/7 and the day before my move (6/26) I'm told they don't have a truck for me. Then had me grab one at 4pm instead of 9am screwing my whole weekend up.Alan K.

The Uhaul worker didnt show me which Truck was my rental so I had to go back in and get him to show me which one. The door on the truck wouldnt stay shut tight while driving. It was kind of sketchy!!!ASHLEY W.
I can't tell you that, but I can tell you 2 things that impressed me. 1) there was a chair available for me to use, being disabled, it was much appreciated. Young man in niagara falls was extremely good at his job in trying to help the problems-The only reason I would give any stars. The truck started slowing some 20 miles before destination and check engine light came on. Ok, it made it. Stressful but handled. We had booked a storage unit of 15x10 over a month in advance. This really stressed me for the moving we would be doing as we are a bit older and I wanted to be sure-we were very anxious about this but seemed a great solution. We got there and surprise, it was already booked to someone else and they had not others that size. The facility itself is extremely large-2 levels and like a maze. This storage unit was convenient as it was a low level, outer entrance. The one they could come up with at best was a 10x10 on the second floor with quite a distance to walk. On top of this, there was a time limit on the elevator. We have a sofa that is a recliner with 2 motors; bulky and extremely heavy. I was very worried about this for my son and husband. The height of the elevator was good for the sofa itself (just) but with the cart, it was not able to managed. It was amazingly difficult to juggle the sofa on and off the cart for this but to do it in less then a minute was insane for us; forget the rest of the move with the furniture. The offer was first month free-storage was around 160. They were able to offer us the 10x10 plus another for the remainder for the same first month free but then the price would go to normal-next month for the two units it will be almost 300 $. The young man who helped us did everything he could and was very professional. They even gave us a second lock and let us use a different dolly without charge. However, it was pure hell. My son and husband di way more then they needed to for unloading an entire home with new furniture packed to the last possible space in a 20 ft truck. The couch was horrible for them; my husband is 50 and strong but also not in the best shape to handle all this with the added time and stress this added. I was almost in tears by the end of all this. I would add that we had a set mileage for the trip set by uhaul but our google maps took me a route that was a bit off the thruway and must have added an additional 30 miles or so because we went straight there and were told it was more miles then the route they had suggested. They waived the fee and I was slightly below on the gas because the truck was starting to malfunction before the area we were going to add gas and we couldn't refuel. It was not much below but still below. They also waived that fee for us and it was much appreciated. I won't even go into the movers we had originally booked through them and had to cancel for the problems; not uhaul's fault but still had to deal with them at the last minute and everything just seemed to go wrong from a trip I had tried very hard to pre-plan and organize. We will be using the storage facility for a few months while we find and close on a home here and have to find some solution to not pay the 300 monthly. Just too much stress for everything. The people at uhaul were all excellent and probably have a really hard job for handling things like this and we appreciate that. However, it just wasn't worth the panick attacks, work and migraines I got, not to mention what my son and husband had to go through, for all the stress.dawn G.

Rodent infestation and mildew causing damage to some items. Paid for climate control and should not have mildew. Insurance company difficult to work with. Agent is not responding to my emails because I did not accept the initial offer and refused to sign off before the unit was completely empty. Once unit was empty more damage was found. Once I filed a claim, staff at local U-Haul facility refused to speak with me. Most staff members at local facility we're not knowledgeable of the procedure to file claim. One person, I believe his name was William Wilson, who has left the position, was as helpful as he could be and seem to be knowledgeable. I didn't store food yet after a year in storage there was a tremendous amount of mouse droppings everywhere including my boxes!! The mice also tore up the newpaper i used to wrap my objects up with. The staff member was friendly, but didn't explain things well at all. For instance, I only realized after that I am paying for a high unit rather than a lower (6 foot) one. The staff member just assigned me the unit without asking which height I would need. I would recommend this storage facility with the caveat of asking tons of questions. I reserved and paid for an Outdoor, Pull up storage unit months before my move-in day. When I arrived on my move-in day, I was informed that there were no outdoor units available. I even showed the printed paperwork. They said there would only be one inside of the building, but it was on the first floor. This was a struggle for the people who helped me move in, as we all thought (as we should), that I was going to drive up to my outdoor unit that I reserved. I didn't give them a hard time, they said they were sorry, etc. Anyways, it all worked out. (Mind you, I still thought that the replacement unit they gave me would still be climate controlled, as this is what I reserved to have.) When I arrived 3 months later to move out, I was astounded to see my entire mattress as well as my box spring were completely molded. All different colors. After checking the website and storage map, I found that the room I was given, 1271, was indeed NOT climate controlled. I also was billed 148 $monthly, whereas I thought it was going to be 114 $a month. The loading door is located opposite the entry door, which is not intuitive. There is a 2-3in lip at loading door that you must pull carts over, making it impractical to use them. The door into storage was too narrow, creating a challenge getting a couch inside, which was quite unexpected. Overall I would not recommend this unitRon P. | Online Move In

Now, at first I was very pleased with everyone there, then I moved out of my storage there, told everyone I moved out, and told them I left, a large, empty storage box for anyone, and a empty Landry basket, to which the employees said, ok, and I wouldn't be charged anymore because I moved out, then I get a bill for a storage I moved out of on March 28th, yeah, your welcome, for the large pepperoni pizza, that's the thanks I get for buying you a pizza, you send me a bill for a storage I told you I moved out of, and you made no mention of anything else.Tina M. | Expérience générale
When I got the storage unit, I was told that I had to purchase a lock from Uhaul, even though I had my own lock. So I purchased one, then found later that I didn't need to...also why does Uhaul need 3 phone numbers to rent. This is the only time I had to come up with three numbers...also the employee that helped me was a bit rude. I was told from another employee that he was new. Maybe I should have said something when I first got the storage. It was a month ago...every time I went to the unit after I never saw him again. The manager is not very friendly. The system had trouble processing my autopay and she continually charged me a late fee. When they set up my storage they did not even have my correct address phone number or credit card information. It never got resolved so I moved my stuff with a budget truck and save money and aggravation.
