The place was easy to get to, and the person was courteous. There was an issue with the brakes, however. They made a griding noise when coming to a full stop. The truck was spotless, though.

I am glad I moved so I will no longer have to even consider using this location. Embarrassing for UHaul!

BRITTANY DMy pick up location was changed relatively last minute after getting a text that said to call to help schedule my reservation, which I thought was already scheduled. For the inconvenience they gave me fifty bonus miles, which I never actually received. I had also reserved two hand trucks which were not available when I picked up the truck, so that at least doubled the time and work it took to load the truck. The truck also reeked of cigarettes. Three stars because the truck was spacious, for everything, and got us there.

RICHARD ECompletely awful overall experience. My pick up location changed the day before. So picking up the vehicle went from being 10 minutes away to 40. It also went from a live location to a mobile location. The drop off was fine but now uhaul.is charging me more money. There was no mileage fee when I originally signed up and when I returned vehicle tjere was a $1 per mile fee. I paid almost 400 to rent a truck for 8 hours.. please pay attention when renting from uhaul

There was ZERO mold or mildew. The storage facility was always well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Hanover U-Haul!

Michael MI rented a 6 X 12 cargo trailer for a local two day pick-up and drop-off. Service Manager Taylor Ryner met me at the office, quickly processed my paperwork, and assisted me in attaching the trailer to my truck. Drop-off was just as easy. She made the process effortless. I highly recommend the Hanover, MA location!
Peter WWe only went 25 miles and checked the gas before return. They added 3,5 gallons of gas which was overkill. The person working the desk was very nice.
Sarah jWhen we picked up our truck the gas tank was below E with the gas light flashing we barely made it to the gas station and had to put in $80 of gas just to get to half a tank. This should have been checked by the store before renting it out

Maureen MThis was the worst experience renting a UHaul truck. I arrived on time to pick up my truck and started the mobile check in process. I located the truck and got to the point of getting the keys, but the lockbox I was directed to was wide open, unlocked, and without any key inside. In fact, several of the lock boxes were left wide open. I then had to call customer service and had to spend 40+ minutes on the phone while they tried to figure things out. Originally I was told that I was going to have to go to another location, pay again for the rental, and then I could get a refund in 5 business days. I said that was unacceptable to charge me twice for something at no fault to me. They then proceeded to give me the code to every other lock box that this location had (not very secure in my opinion) to see if we could find any keys. One lock box had a key in it and I had to go on a hunt truck by truck to find the truck on the lot that matched the key we found. Additionally, this location had their dolly's just out in the parking lot for grabs which didn't seem very secure or organized to me. Finally, at about 8:30/8:40 at night, I finally got a truck only to turn it on to the "no fuel" light and check engine light both on. I had barely enough gas to make it to the gas station which is unacceptable. Thankfully, the check engine light turned off and did not come on any other time during my rental, but I have to say this was the worst pick up experience and the Hanover UHaul is terribly run/organized. I will not be picking up from this location again in the future.

KATHLEEN GI made a reservation 11 days in advance. The day before my rental I received a text the truck would not be available and asked me to confirm pickup at a new location. I went across the street to my uhaul location and they could not confirm where a truck for me would be. If I have a reservation, why is my truck given to someone else? If you want me to switch to a new location the day before, Uhaul should be able to confirm where I should go. Who pays for the extra mileage?

I had to unfortunately extend my truck rental due to a family emergency. When I returned it, I was a mess from crying due to my dad's health. Taylor was so sweet and understanding. When I picked up the truck there was a problem because another client didn't return the truck we had rented. I had such a fun time talking with Taylor and I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Nate R | Premières impressionsI would suggest that UHaul reviews their policy regarding customers who return the vehicles with more gas in it than when they picked it up. A credit should be given to the customer in circumstances like this. In this case when the van was picked up it was at the7/8 mark but the tank was totally full when returned. The agent who was there when the vehicle was returned stated we don't do that!
dennis sThe gates didn't work sometimes but overall the place was clean people were friendly and helpful. U haul itself shouldn't keep raising the rents on spaces that's a huge turn off. Just because you have a unit for an extended time should not mean the price goes up every year.

Brady WI book my rentals at Hingham MA ! Phone pick up option is pure Garbage, couldn't locate my location so my rental process stuck there! Customer service was pure nonsense and without any knowledge, They sent me to another location further down that means more miles more money but nobody took responsibility for screw up and charge me for additional mileage I made thanks to U haul broken application! When app tells you, you aren't at location at 4 Whiting st Hingham MA and you hit that location, it actually shows location of that address is somewhere in Arizona!! Of course I am not in Arizona! What a garbage Company! Nothing surprised me all those big fat companies should be avoided as they become rich they forgot on people that made them rich! Pathetic!

Technology seemed to fail and the whole experience took longer than hoped and expected, but Kenysha was awesome and left me walking away satisfied instead of annoyed and angry. WAYNE O | Expérience généraleI have used this facility for approximately seven years, with the fee starting at $95. Incremental increases escalated the monthly fee to $135, a 42 % increase ! Located on the second floor, there have been ongoing issues with either the elevator and/or the garage door function. Though of late, "perhaps" labor issues/covid might be a reason for the lack of a fix, this was going on long before covid hit. Management was sympathetic, but there did not seem to be corporate support/concern. It was not until I raised the issue to corporate more than once, that a credit was issued, but still not fixed as of yesterday. Hopefully this gets to the right people so this facility can be brought to a proper standard.

Joseph T | Expérience généraleDuring the reservation process it was communicated to me that there would be one month free storage for a one way rental and return at this location. I confirmed on the phone my reservation and when I went to return my truck and use my storage unit the employee told me that I didn't have a reservation. It took about half an hour additional on a busy moving day to get this unit set up. I wasn't able to then use my free month of storage so I was promised that the charge should be reversed "when my boss comes" as I had to pay up front. I never received a key card or pin to access the unit so I had to be asked to be let in. The garage door had a broken sensor so we were unable to close the door when we left. I called multiple times in the following weeks after I didn't receive my refund and was unable to get through to someone due to long wait times that I could not accommodate. When I did finally move out and asked the local facility about my refund of the charge on my credit card which was less than three weeks prior I was told "it was too late" to do anything about it. I would not recommend them for storage to anyone.

patricia m | Expérience généraleI understand I did not have a climate control unit but for the floor to be completely soaked with an oily greasy substance that caused mold on everything in my storage unit to the point where I had to throw everything away is a bit much. I don't know if they need to seal their doors better or get some sort of dehumidify thing system but all of the property was destroyed. The staff member on duty anytime I went was incredibly rude, like I was inconveniencing her for asking her to do her job. I would suggest a different storage unit company

The doors had been changed 3 weeks prior to discovering the water and I was never notified of a problem. I was told there has not been a water or fire problem in over 10 years so I did not get insurance. I plan on filing a claim

The elevator on the Second level wouldn't work which is very inconvenient for me and I had to load the conveyor that was further away, twice, just to get to my storage unit. The manager was unable to initiate at pass card as the readers weren't working that day. She went above and beyond to help me and I thought she could really use more help. I think Kaneshya was outstanding!!!!

Both before and after I had my unit I stopped into the office a number of times to buy moving supplies, ask questions, etc. The staff at this U-Haul office is uniformly pleasant, well-informed, and helpful. They helped me make economical choices about packing materials, and gave me good advice on how to manage my daughter's upcoming move ... which may involve renting a U-Box. I was SO HAPPY with this U-Haul office. You should try them! And thank you U-Haul, again.
