THe only complaint I have is that when attempting to extend my rental for an additional day, I was told I had accepted the damage waiver insurance in which I specifically verbalized that I was declining coverage. Of course the rental would be extreamly expensive with the damage waiver coverage-

John, at the original location I had booked my truck at located on Imperial Hywy. in Norwalk was exceptional! He personally called me to inform me there had been an issue with my rental. The truck they were expecting to be returned (which I was going to rent) did not return. He along with Uhual located a similar truck at the location in Long Beach. He was extremely apologetic and offered his further assistance if I needed anything. I understand these things happen just like I understand he didn't have to provide such a high level professionalism and customer service. I get the sense this is how he runs his operation. This is why the location on Imperial Hywy will be my 1st option whenever I need to rent a vehicle. Please pass this along to John. Thank you - Daniel

well, I had a 12:00 appointment, went to get lunch and came back at 1:00 and the install had not yet started , they installed the wrong trailer hitch bar , yes it sounds bad and was but without hassle took off the wrong hitch bar installed correct bar out by 2:30

Take customers at their word. We were charged 30 $. extra for gas . We only had the truck for just over an hour (possibly and hour and a half) traveled 12 miles, and used less than a quarter of gas. We told the representative but was told, "unless there's proof of the mileage ,we have to charge the extra fee". It would be a "win-win" for you and the customer if they were taken at their word. The customer would feel trusted, and they would definitely tell there friends and family to visit your facility because you treat the customer's right.

The manager just charged me for cleaning without looking at the previous report. I even put on my report it was dirty when I received it. What's the point of us doing an initial inspection if you don't look at it.

Frustrated because Our pickup location was 20 miles out of the way and drop off location was 30 miles out of the way and then U-Haul charges us extra for going over the mileage... and added hours to our travel time

Your phone call system needs to have a "call back" option. I probably spent a total of 8 hours on hold during the whole experience. Additionally, when I would leave messages with people that couldn't directly help me with my requests, but were optimistic of someone else getting back to me, I never received follow up. My conclusion was that the communication on U-Haul's side of things between scopes of work needs improvement. It caused for a frustrating experience when trying to get in touch with the correct individuals.

The person who was at the check in register, didn't greet us, didn't look friendly or happy to be at her job. Didn't welcome us , just said: You here for pick up? It was 7:30 am, no one else inside, so she wasn't overwhelmed. Not sure what the issue was, but her eyebrows were furrowed the entire time. Also, the truck we rented stunk like cigarettes. Very harsh on the throat.

Even though I was told I could access my box up to a certain date after it was picked up, I was unable even to talk with a representative either at your national call center, or the local facility to arrange that. I was on hold for way too long multiple times and had to finally give up. Otherwise, the service was great, the local load company was great, and delivery/pick up was right on schedule. I would definitely recommend this service. Merci.

the container arrived over 2 hours late, was bolted shut, when I asked the driver if she could unbolt it, she said, she didn't do it and she would call someone, and they would come out. That never happened. I called Uhaul 4 times and was hung up on 3 of those times to try and get it unbolted. It wasn't until I talked to Roberto and he sent someone out to unbolt it the next day.

I was not told about the app I needed to access to complete the equipment condition. I found a text message after I got home, by which time the link had expired. I had to call to get a new link. The app was hard to use, and the photographs were very old - not even the same rear door on the trailer.

I received a call to set up a pickup window in the afternoon. Then I got a last minute call from a person from a different store who was helping out to say they were on there way to pick up (early). Luckily I had finished. I appreciate the efficiency of the service, but changing the pickup window at the last minute could end up with delays on your part. Please note that everyone I worked with were great.

I never received a receipt when I returned the truck and was charged a different amount then what I was told.

I returned the uhaul after hours with more than enough gas 1/4 tank was required. I brought it in over that 1/4 by an 1/8th with a mileage starting at "255" I brought it in at "291" the official mileage shows 329 on my receipt and at 1/8th less than a 1/4 tank meaning my rental was driven to get breakfast and then billed me at an extra 30 miles and 1/4 of a tank gas used from when I dropped it off. The van has a 30 gallon tank and a quarter tank would be 7 gallons. I estimate the mpg is 10 miles per gallon. I drove roughly 40 miles because I put in 5 gallons of gas. To put the gauge above... I recieved my receipt and was charged 11,5 for gas and an additional 70 miles. If you add it all up theres an extra 30 miles added. I also want to note I have an account, have rented several times before and never had a problem. I will no longer be a customer as the return verified qr code after hours process is ridiculous. A couple came in after me and asked if I was still open or returning... they may have borrowed the truck illegally for all I know. Because I took pictures but had no where to send them to verify my return... the Uhaul app and account both make the return after hours a nightmare. I now have an additional 80 dollars for the event I was donating my time to help the community. I will buy my own truck/van before I ever use Uhaul again, not only do I feel violated but I no longer trust the company. I apologise for any inconvenience this investigation may cause corporate but if it happened to me it's happening to others and May this message act as a protection and security measure. The unit was available for us but had obvious issues with rodents. There is a hole in the ceiling of the unit that has tape hanging from it and they had placed a rodent trap inside. Will be addressing the issue in person at my next visit.
