Made reservation at one location ,confirmed, then cancelled day before and referred to second one in Ontario. Pick up time later. Ended up renting an open trailer and taking it home, paying 2 days rent for one. Bottom line, reservations should be honored, and at the same location they were promised. Renters beware...it’s a practice!

Actually I loved the service as is. At least in my experience. Was in and out quite quickly even though there were people before me. When I returned the rental the guy was super friendly and quick too, just like the manager (owner?). Definitely will keep coming back.

Everything was great besides the person that hooked the trailer to my truck. Hoodie on, no eye contact, on his phone. Once he hooked it stood up and said “brakes, left turn signal , right turn signal” I obviously knew what he meant, but I think 1/2 ounce of customer service goes a long way. Have a great day.

I couldn’t return my vehicle through the app because it showed I had no rentals assigned to me. Had to sit out in the cold and call customer care for instructions then damn near froze trying to take pictures of the vehicle before I left. Not sure what happen there

When I picked truck up it had no dolly and no bags. Also had a bad experience turning in the U-haul. The girl in the front told me to wait by my truck to get verified with no specific instructions. After waiting 25 minutes I went in to ask how long I had to wait. When a young man said I had to wait in between the lines with tarp over them for inspection. It wasn’t busy for me to wait there a total of 30 for an inspection. I rented these trucks before and never had any problems returning one.

The website should clearly disclose all rates (not fine print that isn't noticeable) according to location, varying rates when renting on the weekends, Fridays, etc. I booked a 19.99 truck with 39 cent a mile because I knew I would use at least 100 miles. My email confirmation shows this. At the location, they charged me 79.99 flat rate, I used 121 miles and ended up paying $105 - way more that I anticipated. This is such a disservice and left me upset.

There was repeated miscommunication between dispatch (over phone) and in office personnel. Things were confirmed over the phone that were communicated or upheld in the office when we went to pick up the tuck. The person we worked with in the office was really trying to up-sell us on several things, which I give him credit for. However, there is an appropriate time to stop selling and start working with the customer. It made for an awkward and frustrating experience to say the least.

I’ve never been to a U-Haul location , not satellite location I mean actual location where you can rent any type of truck that wasn’t rude , unhelpful and they’re always white and seem racist ! This one was not different. Unfortunately U-Haul is everywhere so it’s just convenient . I try to but a lock for my storage unit while I was returning my truck but they made it so difficult to do so I said forget it and left . I wonder how many other sales are lost because they make it so difficult to do anything, they will barely answer a question. Always acting like you should know every before you arrive and should never have a question. Sorry but this has been every experience I’ve had in my life with U-Haul and I’m 46 years old. Used U-Haul many many times unfortunately. Hope this helps .

The new app is glitchy and crashes out, loaded all 3 required images and then it bugged out saying servers were down for 'routine maintenance', had to go inside and agent had to re-upload 2 of the 3 'missing images'. Also a better site map with specific stall numbers to locate and assign available units would help, the first unit I was assigned before the app crashed, was head in, at the front of a line of 3 trucks, with lines of 3 each trucks on either side, trucks parked against sidewalks and perimeters of lot. No way to get that specific unit out, had to be reassigned by the agents on site.

Perhaps, recheck trucks as the one I rented has a gas problem, where check engine and gas cap light came on as soon as we drove off the lot. When we were done with our move we went to fill it, the gas gushed out of the truck onto the ground. We immediately returned the truck and told the attendant. He processed my bill but didn't seem too concern about it. Hope no other customer gets this truck.

Make sure the equipment is there ... you had me run to three different places. When you sell insurance make sure to tell the people that it doesn’t cover when you lock the keys in the car. Clearly AAA won’t cover it. It was just a joke this last time.

Rented trailer for 2 days. Originally told it was 3 days, stated i only needed it for 2 days. On return, amount charged was higher than original contract price. This also included an "after hours" drop off charge, even though i dropped off trailer in person, during normal business hours, as posted on front door of facility. NOT HAPPY WITH FINAL PRICE, that was automatically added to my bill.

First the ceiling was leaking inside-had to use caution walking on the floor, second I was told there would be a 100.00 charge to my card, upon returning the cargo van I rented for less than 4 hours, the charges would be deducted from that and the 10.00 for collision would be refunded. My card was charged twice-then I was told by customer service it would be 3-5 days before being reimbursed for the first charge, as my total ended up being $85.36. That is not right to take money twice out of ones account!! The first amount deducted more than covered my charges!

I rented an appliance dolly and was not informed I had to pick up up from a different person. The gas tank was supposed to be @1/4 tank when I turned the key on it fell below that had them adjust to 1/8 of a tank but after leaving the parking lot within a mile the fuel light went on. I ended putting in $40 worth of gas in the 15' box trailer. I asked to be given some consideration because I was given a vehicle with no gas and I was told I should have taken a picture. That's just poor customer service and I will never use that location again.
