My only problem was with the uhaul boxes, 2 of 3 containers, doors were warped, hard time locking them

edward rOnce we got to our move location we noticed in the front part of the cargo area had what appeared to be lots of dried blood. No mater what the substance was the truck was given to us filthy and unsanitary.

BYRON MCleanliness!!! My truck was dirty from the last driver. Dont worry about cleaning it, because either way, you wont get the $25 for returning it cleaned. Nor get a refund if you return it early. Should of went with Penske.

JENNY BI was charged $300 for a cleaning fee! The truck was clean. The GM when I had spoken to her about the charge was very rude and used poor choices of words to me. She told me she had to pay for a company to remove the couch, and several chairs from the truck. I told her I didn't leave any chairs in the truck! And if so why didn't she call me to confirm. She told me she do not chase down customers. As I drove by the uhaul office , the couch was at the dumpster! The once which she lied about saying a company removed it. I will never refer any of my military nor cop friends to this facility. We are not appreciated here, and customer service is the worse. The GM careless about customers, and she never smiles nor is friendly. I should've known not to rent here when the Gm and other worker left the front area with a line and not acknowledging anyone that was in line nor walking in, left one worker to handle everything, which that worker was tied up with another customer. Poor communication, poor customer service, and we will not be back to rent a truck here ever!

Dove TIt is my opinion that at the time of my booking Uhaul knew that the 26' truck I rented well in advance WAS NOT GOING TO BE AT PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL AS I REQUESTED! I MADE IT VERY CLEAR FOR IT NOT TO BE PICKED UP AT PANAMA CITY, FL! I RECEIVED AN EMAIL THE NIGHT BEFORE STATING MY PICK UP LOCATION HAD BEEN CHANGED TO PANAMA CITY, INSTEAD OF PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL!!! I HAD MOVERS LINED UP TO MEET ME AT A CERTAIN STORAGE UNIT, WHICH IS A HALF MILE WHERE I WAS TO PICK THE TRUCK UP IN PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL. IT BECAME A DOMINO AFFECT OF DISASTER! THE HEAT INDEX FOR THAT WEEK WAS 105° FOR EACH DAY!!!! SO A FRIEND AND MYSELF HAD TO LOAD THE TRUCK OURSELVES!!! I WON'T EVEN GO INTO THE REST OF THE STORY....... UHAUL TOLD ME THERE WILL NOT BE ANY EXTRA CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD FOR NOT TURNING THE TRUCK IN ON TIME. SEVERAL PEOPLE TOLD ME THAT UHAUL CHANGED THEIR LOCATION AT THE LAST MINUTE. Which makes me believe they knew the truck was never to be picked up at that location at the time I booked my reservation! THIS CAUSED ME UNNECESSARY ANXIETY AND STRESS!!!
LISA DActually give the customer what was ordered. I ordered a 15' truck and was notified I would get a 20' unless that was a problem. I told them it was a problem and they said they would address. I got there and they not only didn't have a 15 or a 20, they gave me a 26' which I absolutely did not want or order. ZERO HELP getting me what I ordered. Infact, they were annoyed I wanted the truck I ordered.

Ricky DThe vehicle needs to have its power steering checked. The steering felt loose compared to other u haul trucks I had driven. Also $30 is steep for being just a hair below the gas return line.
CHRISTINE HTrailer was guaranteed by 8:00 am. It didn't get there until 9:30, I got it about 10:00. I had 4 friends waiting at my house for 2 1/2 hours to load the trailer . Not sure how the guarantee works, but it didn't work very well this time.

JOHN MStaff is both locations, Panama City & Oviedo, were excellent. 20' Truck I rented was clean. Windshield Wipers needed to be replaced. A safety Hazard for sure.

DANIEL EI was dissapointed that I brought back my U-Haul 2 full days prior to due date and was not Credited anything. In fact I was charged $11,81 for the fuel being 2 1/2 gallons short. Seems a bit silly that you have truck and trailer back 2-3 days early and gas is within 2 gallons and I'm charged. I thought I should get credit. Not to mention over half my trip I had no cruise control because the ABS light and service traction light were on. I didn't feel comfortable driving but when I called roadside they were not helpful at all.

DAVID LThere were technical issues when verifying the pictures of prior damage when picking up the truck. The 10' truck rented only got 3,66 mpg which was lower than expected as shown on website. We drove 22 miles and put 3 gallons of gas before returning. We got the invoice showing you also had to put 3 gallons in the truck. I thought there might have been issue with fuel sensor but told it should have been fine, so maybe you could verify the true gas mileage the trucks get so future customers will know. The location workers and everything else was fine so did not want to give bad rating for that location if this is a corporate issue regarding truck or technical issue we had.
MICHAEL CI scheduled a hitch install. I was emailed an appt. They canceled without notifying me. I scheduled and confirmed another appt. I was scheduled for 900 AM. I showed up after driving 60 miles and was told that they were busy and i had to wait another 1 hour and 15 minutes. No Apology, and when i said something about the inconvenience the lady was rude to me. The ONLY GOOD thing was the installer. I have been using him for 15 years. He is great. But I am done with UHaul after this real bad experience.

Tayler FI handed my ID to the cashier/register. They put my name wrong, and I need to go back to them to revise this (take more time and I have to get ready for work). The fact, they wasn't able to amend my name on the receipt. But, successfully got change on the agreement only. The reason I addressed this is because I don't want to get a trouble to access my storage. (name wrong maybe nothing for you, but not make sense to make it wrong the whole/entire name when you have their drivers license). Please give a better service or if you have a personal problem, take a day off!

Matthew AI picked up in Phoenix AZ. Things were very laid back there. One of my pods had at least 75 moving pads tossed in it (I have photos of the pile) and the second had 12. No one wanted to collect the extra pads. When I was turning in my pods, I was told I'd be charged for missing pads. I did not use all the pads in Phoenix, had not counted how many I used and did not take the ones I didn't use with me not realizing that I would be held liable at the other end. I don't know if I was charged for "missing" pads, but I should not be. Other than that, it was a great experience.
LISA BI was charged for a Dolly that I rented and realized I didn't have it and had to come back to pick it up. At first Iw as told they didn't have one, but then they were able to find one, but I was going to be charged for it whether or not they had one or not.

KENNETH NThe vehicle was dirty. There were sticky spots on the steering wheel, dash controls, center console and floor mats. Other than that it was a good experience.
ISAIAH FI DO NOT like being told to use a an app to upload an image of my driver license. The member initially helping me was short with me. I had my license in my hand but she would not take it and demanded I use the app instead. This is quite intrusive. Thankfully the 2nd member actually took my license and completed the transaction. Otherwise, I have no other legitimate complaint.

STEVEN KThe passenger side door did not shut correctly. Also, the air conditioning did not get very cold. Other than that the truck ran great and did everything I needed to do.
KEVIN DThe truck I rented had hydraulic oil all in the back I had to wash out the bed of the truck before I could use it. Which about an hour and half. That only allowed me to have 4,5 hours to use the truck. Plus the oil that was underneath the bed liner leaked in my drive way as well. Which in turn I had to clean my drive way as well.

Kaylee HI reserved a certain unit but when I arrived it was unavailable. Specifically I reserved a first floor unit for a certain price that was more expensive than a second-floor unit, however, I was given a second-floor unit for the same price. The set up of the building is also a hassle. I had to walk around the entire building multiple times with an employee trying to figure out which unit was available.

You should really consider working out a prorate plan so customers don't feel like they're getting screwed over for your profit, especially with how hard things are economically already.

KEETO H | Expérience généraleMy experience with this location was great aside from one employee who never mentioned their title or introduced themselves (Brittany), she simply interjected in the middle of a conversation between myself and an employee who was helping me regarding a concern that was already brought up.I replied sharply to her because I was annoyed that she interjected and it's my belief this is where the incident first started. Don and Evelyn were excellent with communication and helping us into our unit. There is no gas or fuel to be in the unit which I mentioned if it were not already done I would drain the fuel lines because I had a cooler with me. When unloading a lawn mower we drove into the unit, and I followed behind with a cooler to drain the fuel lines to ensure the fluids wouldn't be present. Not long after we left I had a voicemail from Brittany who claimed we didn't drain the fuel lines and that camera footage backed their claims. I replied that if they seen the camera footage they would had seen me follow behind to drain the fuel lines and oil which i ultimately poured back into the mower when we arrived to get our things. Because this wasn't a necessity we decided to get our things and not use the unit. We figured if she was to accuse us, not suspect but accuse, with this claim that could had been easily resolved, we didn't trust this business with thousands of dollars worth of equipment. When we arrived to gather our belongings Brittany asked where I put the fuel as if she had no knowledge of it which contradicted her claims to having watched the footage. She watched me refill our gas into our mower from the cooler she claimed she knew nothing about. I have reason to believe she saw only what she wanted to in the footage and made her claim. I've dealt with people like her before and felt since we aren't staying to not disprove her claims because I have driven 10 hours to make it to their location and will not argue with someone looking for conflict. Furthermore while refueling some of the gasoline spilled into the unit and I offered to clean it for her. She said they would take care of it.

Stacey P | Expérience généraleBooked a 10x10 storage. When I arrived from out of state with my belongings, I was given a 5x10. Once I realize the size was wrong, I had a employee change it. They then did change it. However, when they did it was to two 5x10 rooms. Where this is essentially the same amount of square footage, because of the layout, loading my belongings was very difficult. BUT hey, I'm from out of town and stuck with nowhere else to put my stuff. Just screwing over the newcomer. To add insult to injury, I was charged $25 for cleaning the uhaul because the blankets were not folded. I was charged before I could get my personal effects out of the truck. I had just unloaded the truck I to your storage CLOSETS. I had not even had the opportunity to fd them. Your insolent and indol

Ivyline G | Expérience généralePersonal opinion, someone needs to ask if you plan on putting furniture in these units that are in a narrow hallway. We could not fit our couch down the narrow hallway and into the unit. We ended up ruining our couch and having to throw it away. My husband messed his hand up trying to get the furniture in the unit. The layout is very inconvenient and doesn't make sense if it's for people who are putting big bulky items in it. We drove around and thought it was a drive up unit and it isn't. We wanted to put our trailer inside also and we are unable. As I said, someone needs the explain these specific units are in a narrow hallway with other units and not an outer facing unit, not a unit to put big bulky furniture in.

SYDNEY R | Expérience généraleThe only concern is if you are on the 2nd floor and someone is moving there things to the first floor using the elevator there are no stairs besides the emergency exit stairs available and the only restroom is on the first floor so it can be a precarious situation.
Michael P | Expérience généraleWhile the facility was nice and well kept, constant price hikes forced me to choose a new place to take my business. I found a larger unit for half the price. Inflation is happening to all of us and consumers are being given the short end of the stick. The continued price hikes proved that Uhaul cared more about money than the customers it served. Nothing at the facility ever changed or improved, but that extra $30 a month was enough to change and improve my storage needs and location.

The cost increased to a RIDICULOUS amount and was no longer an affordable option. Access was difficult at times as the access cards given to patrons NEVER worked so it was impossible to access my secured unit unless the office was open and the buildings unlocked.

Cynthia F | Premières impressionsWhen we went to load our storage unit at the location, we were advised that there would already be a lock available in the unit. One was not available, so I had to go to the front office to get one. The manager of the operation provided me with the lock and apologized, stating that they were very busy that day. We got into our unit without issue and were able to unload the rest of the truck. The individual instructions for access into the units was not clear at all. We tripped the alarms to our unit at least 3 times before another renter showed us out to work the alarm systems. Considering we had to rely on another renter to clarify how to access the units is concerning. There are some posted signs and placards on the outside of the building, but there is nothing regarding the system posted within the U-Haul app or the emails that I received after completing the check-in process. Additional information provided upon online check-in regarding this would have been helpful.
