The line was incredibly long and slow moving. We asked for a dolly and paid for one but didn’t receive one. Had to go back in and pay again. We rented a truck that was $19.98 but we ended up paying over $150 for a few hours of work. Our bill was not explained to us.

There was only one person at the register with a line of people waiting. The check in process seemed to take just as long as if I did not already check in online. The fuel level of the truck was 1/4 tank, making it inconvenient to have to stop and get gas prior to my move.

I had to speak to countless U-haul managers and employees over the course of a couple months to correct HUGE mistakes that were made to my U-Box order during a cross-country move. The unhelpful employees and managers did not know the operation details or even the simple facts about the U-Box service. I was told and promised contradicting things that made my move with U-haul a NIGHTMARE. I was finally able to locate who is in charge of this whole operation, and he's the U-Box corporate manager named Larry; unfortunately, he NEVER returned my calls or reviewed the recorded phone conversations like his employee had promised. I am completely disgusted in U-haul's lack of integrity as a company. Clearly they don't care about their customers. If they did, they would at the very least teach employees all the information about their services so that there were no mistakes. Moving is highly stressful, and the least you can do is prepare your employees with all the information about the service they're offering. (For example, one employee told me that U-Box always delivers an extra U-Box to you in case you need it. So when they only showed up with one, and I had planned on using the second one, I had to get rid of half of my stuff on move-out day.) I am just relieved to have my belongings back, and will never use U-haul again. I will only continue to spread the word that this company doesn't care about its customers. U-haul really does NOT make moving easier, as it promises in its on-hold music.

We had had poor experiences with three other Uhauls in Pasadena that day and were delighted by our experience with this location.

Came to rent a hand truck/ dolly. There weren't really any places to park. You had the choice of double parking behind someone or using the handicap spot. When we came to return the dolly the same afternoon we dropped it off at the equipment return area outside and asked the guys multiple times if it was ok that we drop it off with them or if we had to go inside. They said it was fine but then I got a call a few days later asking about why I hadn't returned the dolly yet. Seems to be a lack in communication.

Returning truck was a terrible experience. I pulled up and there was other vehicles in the way so I park the truck in a parking spot to the side. I walked over to find a worker to ask where I should bring the vehicle to return it. He said he could not hear me and instead of asking and clarifying what I need led he proceeded to continue just doing what he was doing. I went back into the rental truck to move it to the return line as the other vehicles were moved forward and I could now see there was a return line. I pulled it behind another vehicle and I asked another person If this is where I returned the vehicle. He told me he couldn’t hear me and just put his head down again to continue doing what he was doing. Both of these workers felt it was more important to checking and clean vehicles versus just answering a simple question. I spoke louder to increase the volume of my voice so they could hear me. Instead they got hostile and told me to stop yelling at them. I said I’m not yelling just speaking louder since they both said they could not hear me and ignore me. One of the assistant managers started telling that I was wrong and need Ed to wait. I wasn’t trying to push I was just trying to clarify if I parked the vehicle in the right spot. Then he started telling me that I was wrong to yell. I repeated that I am not yelling just talking louder as they both told me they couldn’t hear me. The manager then said that I needed to stop yelling at him and said that he had PTSD and that I did t know where he had been and was coming from in a threatening way. He then ignored m and check in someone else that just pulled up. I will never use uHaul again especially at this location. It appears they have some thugs that don’t know when a customer is seeking help and a question. They told me they ignored me because they thought I was doing something else. That’s funny take when I walk up to where they were to ask them a question. Ghetto!

So we picked up a van Friday evening and off the bat we experienced a zero customer service setting. Me and my husband along with one other customer we’re in the store. Didn’t get acknowledged when we walked in. Waited for about 15-20 minutes before we got helped. Right before that I asked the gentlemen who was at the front to see if there was anyone else that can help us. All he said was that he would be right back. Came back pretty quick and then as he was helping us he was pretty rude. You can see it off his body language that he was already annoyed. Anyways we got our vehicle. Came back the next day and dropped the car off with a gentlemen named deon. I’m only giving this review an excellent rating because I work in service and know how these can affect a store or a individual. Aside from that deon is also why this review is scored as excellent. As soon as we came in the first thing he asked us was how are you guys doing today. He might have just been a porter but he turned our whole U-Haul experience to a great one. Give him a raise! Will be back because if him.

I reserved my boxes nearly a month in advance and this location did not have enough. I had to drive nearly 30 minutes to the next location to make up the difference, and found the other location to be much more communicative and professional.

Service was absolutely terrible. I didn't get my truck until 50 minutes LATE, causing me to be late to meet the movers I hired. This location should have trucks ready to go and have more people helping check customers in (the line was at least 2 hours long and it was taking them 15-20 minute to check in each person). I tried to use the option to log in ahead of time but it wasn't working and even if it did I would have still had to wait in line. This location definitely did not make moving easier - in fact it was the most stressful part of my day. Definitely won't be using this location ever again.

Very unorganized and not enough staff. I originally booked for different location but when I got there they said I was changed to this location. I got no notification nor call. I was extremely disappointed with the service. The staff is as nonchalant about everything and did not seem to care about being efficient with our time. Would definitely not reccomend this location.

I went into the office to reserve a 10 foot y haul and when I came the next morning, I had to wait one hour ( even with a reservation) and they reserved the wrong vehicle . they gave me 9 foot VAN. Does that sound like a TRUCK?

I listed the location as poor because I used the app to pick up my rental yesterday and none of the cars where there after pressing “can’t find my car” 6 times... I wasted 25 minutes of my time walking around the lot. I went inside and spoke to the general manager who was very rude and didn’t issue an apology for the faulty app. Very upset and disappointed in this location and app. I emailed corporate about my order #24246129. The rental finally got was clean and did the job. Also, the person who helped me when I returned the car was quick and nice. That general manager should learn customer service from him. This was very disappointing as this my 2 time at this location and it will be my last.

Uhaul's advertised price of 19.95 RENTAL PER DAY*(asterisk included!) is a hilarious monstrosity. $35 later, the real fee is paid. Oddly enough, the consumer doesn't want to be dicked around. The consumer likes transparency. The consumer, strange as though it may sound, likes upfront honesty. (I know, weird, right!?!) Wouldn't it be cool to have a billboard that says something like "After it's all said and done the average in-town customer pays around $50(or: insert your big-data accuracy here)." How refreshing! How accurate! How true!

Truck was not running well, transmission seemed as it was about to give up on me. Did not feel safe driving the vehicle. Un top of that I was never informed about "Fuel feel-up Service fees". the only thing mentioned was something close to $6 per gallon if the truck is returned bellow the mark.It was rather close to the 1/4 mark doubt you needed more than two gallons, as I filled up 2 gallons before returning it and saw the change on the meter. The difference in the estimated charge for the service prior to receiving keys is nearly $30 more with half the estimated miles. I EXPECT SOMEONE TO REACH OUT TO ME IMMEDIATELY. This is not acceptable.

Whenever I have come in, whether for purchase or for truck rental, there has been only one person at the counter helping customers. As one who had been in the customer service business for many years, this is something that is easily addressed, and should be. There should be ample service reps for each service U-Haul offers. There were only two other people waiting, however one customer can take a very long time, as what happened at my initial visit. I am not talking about one of the busy times here, so there is really no excusing this. Customers deserve better. Please know that the service reps were great, it just wasn't efficient with people waiting so long.

If a customer has an alleged outstanding bill you need to at least notify the customer of this problem when you discover it and when a reservation is made. I wasted over an hour at this location dealing with an alleged issue that I did not know existed. The handling of this was nothing but inefficient for both Uhaul and for me. I do not appreciate that you unnecessarily wasted my time on something that I should have notified of in August 2017.

Better customer service would be nice. The person whom helped me was named Wesley and he was incredibly rude and gave me false information regarding my drop off. He wouldn’t let me talk and had a lot of attitude anytime I tried to explain what it was I needed or mentioned anything regarding my reservation. I’ve used a U-Haul a lot in the past and gone to this particular location a few times! But I don’t think I’ll ever be going back now sadly. This experience lost me as a customer unfortunately.

I WAS ASKED THAT I PROVIDE MY LICENSE WHICH WAS PHOTOGRAPHED FRONT AND BACK. THE ATTENDANT ALSO TOOK A PICTURE OF MY FACE WITH HIS CELL PHONE. THE ATTENDANT ALSO ASKED FOR THE CELL PHONE NUMBER OF A RELATIVE WHO HE IMMEDIATELY CALLED TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY. THE ATTENDANT SAID THESE PRACTICES BEGAN ON JUNE 10, 2019. I HAVE RENTED FROM UHAUL BEFORE AND WAS NEVER ASKED TO GIVE A CELL NUMBER AND NEVER HAD MY PICTURE TAKEN BEFORE. I HAVE A FEELING THAT THE INFORMATION PROVIDED WILL BE USED FOR OTHER PURPOSES, I.E. DATA MINING AND MARKETING. THE ATTENDANT WAS RUDE AND CONDESCENDING TO BOOT.

I was impressed with two things. First, and most important, the folks that helped me, and there were three, were perfect. In response to a question one fellow said that he has been an employee for one year. Every time that I drive by this U-Haul location I will recall this nice experience. And if I have time I will drive in and look up these three fellows and thank them again. Second, I lucked out and rented your trailer with the ramp. Worked perfect for unloading my plants. I should have mentioned as a third point your rental rate was reasonable. Please compliment your three employees for their excellent service.

Its all about the counter and customer service: There were 3 U-Haul people behind the counter at various times and only one customer besides me. I had a reservation. Yet I was told to wait .. which I did for a bit while they chatted and walked in and out. I suggest you hire some folks who are customer service oriented and who want come to work. What I experienced was several employees who did not want to be at work on a Saturday.

I do not think the "corporate" customer service is very friendly or accommodating. I was told what type of gas milage the truck would get filled it up to drive the 144 miles, and gave U haul and extra 1/4 of a tank of gas due to what information i received when i took the truck. When I ask if they would do anything for me the answer was a resounding NO. They could have easily given me the difference between the 120 miles to the 144 miles. I also spilt some coffee and totally cleaned the floor before returning. So although you may be the only game out there I was not left with a feeling that you cared what I felt about the service. The people are friendly but the are Corporate trained to the core and that is good for the Co. but not good for the customer.

Post an 1/8 of a tank to gallons ratio sticker in your trucks so we know how much to refill, thanks! I.E. one 1/8 of a tank equals 3 gallons so we can calculate the refill of gasoline simply without making multiple pump payments. Or not, just thinking it would be next level, thanks.

At 9;00 AM, there was only one person to check in 30 people waiting for their rental. I won't go back to U-Haul. This same think happened in the Boulder location. So I guess it's company policy. The fellows outside were very helpful.

Even though I made a reservation, I had to wait 30min in line because the employee at the counter would rather socialize that help customers. There was a line of 15+ people all getting increasingly frustrated. When I returned the truck I had less than a handful amount of soil in the bed and an employee recommended charging me for it like I wasn’t standing next to him. I’ll most likely go with another location next time.

Make sure your representatives know the fine details of the prices. When I rented the vehicle, one employee quoted me the week rental price and I asked specifically if I drive less than the 750miles free I will get that price still and they said yes. When I returned the vehicle, another employee said I didn’t qualify for the week rental because I didn’t drive the minimum 750miles. So what I was told was different than what I was charged. I ended up getting charged 100 more than I should have. You need to make sure your employees are giving accurate information up front and make your posted prices for weekly rentals more clear for the terms and conditions because I obviously didn’t understand it correctly and your own employee didn’t even understand it correctly...which is a big red flag for me not wanting to come back or recommend the location or company in general.

On the website it stated that by signing in online I could cut my wait time in half. And that I could use my mobile device rather than having to wait in line. The website was confusing as I got to the last page and when I had to read the text on the terms and conditions the screen went away so I ended up making two bookings which meant I had to go in and cancel. I never got the email to unlock the car with my mobile device and the wait time was QUITE long so I don't see how I saved any time by filling in the forms on the website. I think it would benefit customers like me to have a desk dedicated to reservations only during the busy weekend hours. I was NOT impressed with your reservation system AT ALL!!!

I was using the app to pick up my van. First of all I had trouble getting the app to work correctly. Then, the van was blocked by another van and I had to wait for it to be removed in order to get my van. Then, when I was returning my van, the app totally didn't work at all. Unfortunately, the Uhaul office had just closed. I ended up speaking with one of the workers after he left for the day and he indicated I should just leave the van and put the keys in the night drop, which is what I did. The app was a very frustrating experience.

Your employee Tony Lopez is the worst employee you have at that location. RUDE from beginning to end!! To top it off the location we needed the truck for will be closed for the next 2 days so we used the truck for 10min tops and less than 3 miles. Yet he was very cut throat about the whole incident. Not nice or understanding then he proceeded to embarrass us in front of the other employees by saying we didn’t want to pay we wanted the rental for free. Out of all the people that were working there about 6 gentleman Tony was the WORST!!!! We even told him we would be back Tuesday but still no sympathy and not willing to work with us. He just looked at us like “is that all” I have to go back to vaping. I’ve rented many times here before, I’ve bought many supplies as well and this is the first time I’ve been humiliated and mistreated this way. Tony Lopez is an inhuman person that should not be working with the public.

I rented at 15ft truck and was not able to pick up my 15ft truck. They "up-garded" me to a 20ft truck without noting the upgrade until after I asked. I felt uncomfortable with the idea of driving a 20ft truck but I really needed a truck for my move and ended up getting a 10ft truck. I was more comfortable driving this truck but the rate seamed to be more than my original quote and on top of that I was only able to fit 95% of my stuff. I have no idea how I am going to get my large artworks and sewing table to my new residence without renting another truck/van from somewhere. At the actual pick-up office, they seamed understaffed and the computers were constantly freezing so I didnt get my truck home until 1 hr after my actual pick up time.

Location was apparently closed when we arrived but two people, separately, walked out and didn't bother to even ask what we were doing there looking baffled and if they could help. No instructions on where to park the truck.

I will not use them again. They don't work with you if problems arise it's all about money with them example I had a tote and a few boxes, all empty, that I wanted to throw away they charge $20.
