Better customer service would be nice. The person whom helped me was named Wesley and he was incredibly rude and gave me false information regarding my drop off. He wouldn’t let me talk and had a lot of attitude anytime I tried to explain what it was I needed or mentioned anything regarding my reservation. I’ve used a U-Haul a lot in the past and gone to this particular location a few times! But I don’t think I’ll ever be going back now sadly. This experience lost me as a customer unfortunately.

I WAS ASKED THAT I PROVIDE MY LICENSE WHICH WAS PHOTOGRAPHED FRONT AND BACK. THE ATTENDANT ALSO TOOK A PICTURE OF MY FACE WITH HIS CELL PHONE. THE ATTENDANT ALSO ASKED FOR THE CELL PHONE NUMBER OF A RELATIVE WHO HE IMMEDIATELY CALLED TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY. THE ATTENDANT SAID THESE PRACTICES BEGAN ON JUNE 10, 2019. I HAVE RENTED FROM UHAUL BEFORE AND WAS NEVER ASKED TO GIVE A CELL NUMBER AND NEVER HAD MY PICTURE TAKEN BEFORE. I HAVE A FEELING THAT THE INFORMATION PROVIDED WILL BE USED FOR OTHER PURPOSES, I.E. DATA MINING AND MARKETING. THE ATTENDANT WAS RUDE AND CONDESCENDING TO BOOT.

I was impressed with two things. First, and most important, the folks that helped me, and there were three, were perfect. In response to a question one fellow said that he has been an employee for one year. Every time that I drive by this U-Haul location I will recall this nice experience. And if I have time I will drive in and look up these three fellows and thank them again. Second, I lucked out and rented your trailer with the ramp. Worked perfect for unloading my plants. I should have mentioned as a third point your rental rate was reasonable. Please compliment your three employees for their excellent service.

Its all about the counter and customer service: There were 3 U-Haul people behind the counter at various times and only one customer besides me. I had a reservation. Yet I was told to wait .. which I did for a bit while they chatted and walked in and out. I suggest you hire some folks who are customer service oriented and who want come to work. What I experienced was several employees who did not want to be at work on a Saturday.

I do not think the "corporate" customer service is very friendly or accommodating. I was told what type of gas milage the truck would get filled it up to drive the 144 miles, and gave U haul and extra 1/4 of a tank of gas due to what information i received when i took the truck. When I ask if they would do anything for me the answer was a resounding NO. They could have easily given me the difference between the 120 miles to the 144 miles. I also spilt some coffee and totally cleaned the floor before returning. So although you may be the only game out there I was not left with a feeling that you cared what I felt about the service. The people are friendly but the are Corporate trained to the core and that is good for the Co. but not good for the customer.

Post an 1/8 of a tank to gallons ratio sticker in your trucks so we know how much to refill, thanks! I.E. one 1/8 of a tank equals 3 gallons so we can calculate the refill of gasoline simply without making multiple pump payments. Or not, just thinking it would be next level, thanks.

At 9;00 AM, there was only one person to check in 30 people waiting for their rental. I won't go back to U-Haul. This same think happened in the Boulder location. So I guess it's company policy. The fellows outside were very helpful.

Even though I made a reservation, I had to wait 30min in line because the employee at the counter would rather socialize that help customers. There was a line of 15+ people all getting increasingly frustrated. When I returned the truck I had less than a handful amount of soil in the bed and an employee recommended charging me for it like I wasn’t standing next to him. I’ll most likely go with another location next time.

Make sure your representatives know the fine details of the prices. When I rented the vehicle, one employee quoted me the week rental price and I asked specifically if I drive less than the 750miles free I will get that price still and they said yes. When I returned the vehicle, another employee said I didn’t qualify for the week rental because I didn’t drive the minimum 750miles. So what I was told was different than what I was charged. I ended up getting charged 100 more than I should have. You need to make sure your employees are giving accurate information up front and make your posted prices for weekly rentals more clear for the terms and conditions because I obviously didn’t understand it correctly and your own employee didn’t even understand it correctly...which is a big red flag for me not wanting to come back or recommend the location or company in general.

On the website it stated that by signing in online I could cut my wait time in half. And that I could use my mobile device rather than having to wait in line. The website was confusing as I got to the last page and when I had to read the text on the terms and conditions the screen went away so I ended up making two bookings which meant I had to go in and cancel. I never got the email to unlock the car with my mobile device and the wait time was QUITE long so I don't see how I saved any time by filling in the forms on the website. I think it would benefit customers like me to have a desk dedicated to reservations only during the busy weekend hours. I was NOT impressed with your reservation system AT ALL!!!

I was using the app to pick up my van. First of all I had trouble getting the app to work correctly. Then, the van was blocked by another van and I had to wait for it to be removed in order to get my van. Then, when I was returning my van, the app totally didn't work at all. Unfortunately, the Uhaul office had just closed. I ended up speaking with one of the workers after he left for the day and he indicated I should just leave the van and put the keys in the night drop, which is what I did. The app was a very frustrating experience.

The staff outside did not communicate well. One employee would tell me pull up and then another would yell for me to wait and looked irritated when I asked what I should do. I was told that I couldn’t drop of my equipment early and that I had to come back at the time my contract stated. The checkout line when I picked up my equipment was out the door.

Your employee Tony Lopez is the worst employee you have at that location. RUDE from beginning to end!! To top it off the location we needed the truck for will be closed for the next 2 days so we used the truck for 10min tops and less than 3 miles. Yet he was very cut throat about the whole incident. Not nice or understanding then he proceeded to embarrass us in front of the other employees by saying we didn’t want to pay we wanted the rental for free. Out of all the people that were working there about 6 gentleman Tony was the WORST!!!! We even told him we would be back Tuesday but still no sympathy and not willing to work with us. He just looked at us like “is that all” I have to go back to vaping. I’ve rented many times here before, I’ve bought many supplies as well and this is the first time I’ve been humiliated and mistreated this way. Tony Lopez is an inhuman person that should not be working with the public.

I rented at 15ft truck and was not able to pick up my 15ft truck. They "up-garded" me to a 20ft truck without noting the upgrade until after I asked. I felt uncomfortable with the idea of driving a 20ft truck but I really needed a truck for my move and ended up getting a 10ft truck. I was more comfortable driving this truck but the rate seamed to be more than my original quote and on top of that I was only able to fit 95% of my stuff. I have no idea how I am going to get my large artworks and sewing table to my new residence without renting another truck/van from somewhere. At the actual pick-up office, they seamed understaffed and the computers were constantly freezing so I didnt get my truck home until 1 hr after my actual pick up time.

The self-serve process was ok. There should be some kind of notice sent out ahead of time about the lengthy process it takes to check out on your own. I spent close to 1 hr checking out. Maybe an email saying "please arrive early as the checkout process does take some time." So I technically didn't have the truck for a full 24 hours because of the time it took to check the truck out. CHECK YOUR FINAL INVOICE FOR ACCURACY! I was charged for 2 dollys, though I only rented 1. The CSR initially tried to tell me that I "broke the seal that holds the "utility dolly in the truck" and my response was, "There was no utility dolly in the truck. It came supplied with only 1 appliance dolly but there was no additional dollys in the truck. I have pictures of what the inside of the cargo looks like." At that point the CSR rep said she would refund my money since I had evidence that I only rented one. Aside from that issue, everything else was ok...

The gentleman that handed over the keys was extremely rude. Passive aggressive. Customer service is not for everyone and he certainly didn’t bother to make the experience a good one. He seemed to be in a rush to move on to whatever else other than handing off the truck keys and explaining the process of how to do the damage capture online.

The people and cleanliness of the truck were very good. The truck however, had over 120,000 miles on it. The door seals for both doors were loose and falling off (just need some glue or silicone to fix). The front brake rotors were warped so when you applied the brakes you'd get a very noticeable "shimmy"... not safe. Do some maintenance to your equipment!!

I used to trust U-Haul in installing hitches because that is their business. In fact, I brought my 2 previous sedans to U-Haul to install hitches. This time, my first appointment was rescheduled because they said the hitch has not arrived. I inquired several times and they checked and found that the hitch was there. On installation, they did not follow instructions and did not cut the under car cover board and put it back in. They did not tell me that they did not put it in, so there is a part of the car exposed. When I called, no one seemed to be responsible. Finally, I had to go in and got the board and screws back. Overall, it is not a professional job and I would not bring any more car to this location.

I am very dissatisfied with the fact that I had to drive to San Diego with smoke smell in the cabin the whole time. My grandfather died in lung cancer and my dad had lung cancer a couple of years ago, and I'm very sensitive to cigarette smoke... I would like to reach out to some costumer support because I think this is unacceptable for a service I paid over $250.

This was a straightforward and streamlined experience, especially since we used the online checkin. It was reasonable in price and truck was in great condition, easy to drive. I especially liked that cost was not measured in hours but flat rate and mileage. Served me very well. Good customer service. Overall very satisfied.

I find it pretty shitty that I was charged a cleaning fee for dirt that was left in the rear of the van, after I cleaned out the trash left inside by the previous renter that your employees left in the vehicle. I will never use UHaul again after this experience. I have rented from most of the rental agencies before and have never had such a crappy experience. At no time was I ever informed that if I didn’t return the vehicle spot loss that I would be charged a $25.00 cleaning fee to pull a fucking rubber mat out of my the rear and hose it off. Fucking ridiculous.

Additionally, I was informed by multiple employees at pick-up that I would be held responsible only for the difference in gas level, I was told that I would be charged for the entire tank fill, plus a service fee. The fee was not communicated to me at pick-up and, apparently, only applies to 1/4 tank or less, which was, convieniently, the level at pick-up. Despite driving less than 15 miles, I paid almost 20 additional dollars for gas and related fees, which were not clearly communicated to me.

Easy to drive and it held all my moving boxes. Return was fast and easy and also I was able to leave my car there during the rental period. At no point was I informed by a worker that returning a vehicle with under a quarter tank of gas results in a charge of $30 on top of the fuel cost. Well they gave me a pickup truck with 1/8th a tank of gas and I figured I’d return it onwards empty since it would not have been worth my time to fill it back to 1/8th a tank. They charged me $30 for that, which means they’ve earned at least $60 in this nonsense charge since I was given a vehicle with less than their 1/4 tank threshold. I understand the logic of this charge as it becomes inconvenient for their staff to refuel vehicles that are empty, however they should never rent out a vehicle below that threshold AND they should tell customers about this charge before taking the vehicle. This is businesses having and communicating a poor policy and practicing inappropriately to get the most out of these fees. I’ll be renting from Penske next time

I rent vehicles all the time, and I am used to receiving customer service that is not optimal. My recent interaction with Wesley, who both checked me out and checked the vehicle in, was worse than usual. Wesley is terrible at customer service—unnecessarily terse and barking commands at someone who is simply trying to rent a vehicle. As a business owner, I would never allow someone with such a poor and off-putting attitude to interact with customers.

Last time they charge some kind of late return fee even though they charged regular rental fee, I'm ok with regular rental fee plus whatever daily insurance. What's the purpose of human staff if they're not going to positively interact with customers? It won't kill them to be friendly and professional.
