It all comes down to customer service and professionalism. Upon arrival the clerk was speaking to and other customers before me as if we were inside Uhual asking for a free handout. Very bad costumer service. Clerk does not explain things and just refers you to google/youtube. I must say I had been at this location before but now this place has become garbage. In after having all my info a reference # of an additional party was requested. I had to wait until someone picked up in order for the rental to be approved. I honestly would like to know of thats a uhaul written policy.

Due to a system failure that day, we had to wait for almost an hour. Luckily, I had done the express check-in prior. That really save me some time. It was just hard to believe a system could be down for so long. I gotta give the rep that was there,credit. He really kept his cool and tried helping the customers there.

There was only one worker there on a Sunday morning and we waited on a line (of two guests in front of us) for 45 minutes until we were able to speak with the worker behind the desk to check in. They really need to hire a second person to help, as this was frustrating and made me not want to go back to this location or even use UHaul in the future.

Although the after hours rental drop off app is a good idea, there really should be a notice before check in letting the customer know what pictures will be needed. I thought there would only be a need for a pic of the odometer. A pic of the inside and of the parking space is a bit unnecessary. There was an employee at drop that could have assisted me with the process since I’ve never done it before, but he didn’t. Instead he went on to tell me that next time I should have all the pics prepared. He was extremely rude. I’m not sure if the pictures came out clear, however, just so everyone is clear, the truck was dropped off in the same condition it was at pick up.

I had booked uhaul 10' truck with guaranteed booking as per the website. On the location, front desk told me that the truck is not available. They told me either I will have to change my pick up time of 2:30 ( my pick time was 12) or I will have to deal with other options since they can not upgrade the truck. Since the truck was not available I had no other option but to take van because I had given time to other parties for furniture transfer. There was no prior notice or notification that the truck is not available, which is considered really bad service. In the end I will just say that I was very negative experience with your services since I had to travel twice to the location and pay labor for extra time.

I brought back the truck rent around 4pm. I rented the truck for 9am, and arrived at 10am. Returned the truck at 4pm. Got a notification that i replied to saying they are wrong. Then got an email saying it was checked in at 6pm

We usually use this location to rent equipment for our operations outside and within NJ. On Monday, October 28, in the afternoon, I called 973 478 2008 to get a reservation of 17-foot truck, the person who attended me (I don't have the name) told me that by Wednesday 30 they had a sufficient amount of truck for which it was not necessary to do reservation. Wednesday arrives after 12 noon and there were no trucks of 17 or 15 feet which is very irritable. But thanks to Clarisa which with a lot of personality and charisma got me a truck in another location. Once again thank you Clarisa.

Horrible only one person working to help 4 individuals who was trying to rent a uhaul. Also I was never advised about the gps location sharing. I returned my rental 3hours prior to the 10oclock and still got charge a late fee. The rep who sold me the uhaul only state to make sure it was returned before that was 10. Spoke to customer service they advise me they’ll be leaving a note to make sure I don’t get charged and the site location charged me. Horrible experience would’ve recommended it to anyone !!!

Customer service was very poor. The customer representative employee we talked to was unclear with relaying information to us. He asked if we wanted uHaul insurance for $15, and I said yes. We ended up accidentally damaging the skirt with a minor dent and we were charged $277.50. We called the number on the invoice (which was the number of the location) and we were redirected to customer service. We talked to Dianna from customer service and we were directed to call the location again and we did. The lcation tried to redirect us to call customer service again. There was terrible communication from the uHaul location on 541 Main Ave in Passaic, NJ. We received no help. And we were told we had uHaul protection. Apparently, they did not apply it to our order. We were definitely overcharged for the damage of the vehicles skirt. There is no way I can trust uHaul after this terrible experience. I cannot recommend uHaul to anyone. And I will never use uHaul again. All of this is extremely frustrating.

Had to call customer service because the truck won't start because the key was in a locked position. Customer service did an excellent job in explaining how to get the key out of the ignition.

picked up a car hauler and didnt realize one tire tow strap was broken so had to use my own to rig the car. then before returning they over booked the location and started harassing me and my wife with vulgar calls and threat to return it. i advised the rep it would be after hours before renting but they called 3x with threats! do not rent from the Passaic NJ location!

We were notified the day prior to our reservation that the pick up location was changed to another town. We also had reserved 3 dozen furniture pads, which were not available at the time of pick up. We were informed that we could try to go to the original location of the pick up for the pads. We did this and there were still no furniture blankets available even tho we had reserved them. There was no apology or attempt to provide ups with any assistance in this matter. Our furniture was not protected as it should have been during transport. Very bad experience.
