The manager was welcoming and very clear with all guidelines rental agreement before leaving with the vehicle and expectations returning it.

initial reservation was incorrect had us for the next day and reversed going from our drop off place in MD to MA. While he was able to give us a 10 ft truck there was no auto trailer until 11am next day. We were scheduled to leave on Thursday. When we got there for the trailer the next day, the trailer had not been checked for equipment as the strap was broken and needed to be replaced. Caused us further delays and stuck in rush hour traffic as result around NY area. This after having to drive extra miles with the truck and their inability to actually do anything to solve problem does not make us want to usee UHaul as says only the 800 number can do anything. While polite and the building clean, the local office needs to have authority. Other offices do when rented in Franklin, MA office. Going extra distance twice caused us to go over on extra miles by 30 and costing us more. The repair guy for strap was quick and efficient and polite.

The truck was really old in poor condition. Fuel economy was embarrassing. I had higher expectations for what I would be renting to what I had. Luckily it was just a local move.

Perfect experience, I needed to pick up a few pieces of new furniture that wouldn't fit in my car, I rented a pick up truck it was clean and ready at pick up. Everyone at the Pawtucket, Rhode Island location off of exit 27 we're professional and nice. I would recommend to anyone who is thinking about renting.

This was the worst Uhaul/moving experience of my life. The size truck we reserved was not available so they gave us a smaller one and made us go to a different location than we originally ordered. The service was terrible. Will not use Uhaul again.

Don't call my phone looking for a trailer that was returned yesterday and then try to guilt trip me because other families need the “vehicle”. Especially after the trailer had us on the side of the road for four hours and cost of hundreds of extra dollars! Compensation or even an apology would have been nice instead of an unprofessional voicemail.

Our staff person was amazing. Kind patient and friendly. Even with the customer service rep messing up our reservation on our storage unit he was great and making sure it was all taking care of and I had a unit. Wonderful service and a very well maintained unit.

I needed to open a new storage unit and the team was unhelpful at every interaction. To try to open the unit early we went to the facility and arrived 30 minutes before close to open the unit. We were told over the phone we would be able to do this and drove 45 minutes to the facility to be told that we can't open a new unit 1 hour before close. Then when we did come back to open the unit, we were forcefully sold a lock when the new unit had a lock provided to us included and the lock we already had come with was a Uhaul lock as well.

The person whom checked me was wonderful! The truck seem to be clean until I got to my home, opened the back and tried to start moving. When opening the back, it was soaked, and hadn't been wiped out. So you can imagine all the sand and dirt. I had to leave the back open and let it air out before we could start packing it up. When bringing the uhaul back, it took a very long time for a rep to come with. Which then I decided to do it digitally. The only reason why I didn't start doing that was bc I would have liked to talk to them about the dirty inside, and it was not after hours. I'd only recommend the location again because of the gentleman who checked me in. Very pleasant and helpful.

Your receptionist was excellent.. Maybe have more options when it comes to checking out the vehicle equipment so I dont smoke but the van smelled like cigarette smoke. and had a huge dent in the top of vehicle that i noticed later during myuse. but it wasnt me but i dont want to be held liable

When we bring the truck back to your company & let say the fuel in the truck Is 3/4 ways full & you add more gas To make sure you're not under the 3/4 Then you add more gas to pass the 3/4 full so we don't get charge extra money You're company should reimburse the extra gas fee to the customer returning the truck back to the credit card.

The elevator was broken when I drove up to clear bulky items on Jan 2. I could not finish without it and on a Sunday the repair tech could not be there. So I delayed until I was free yesterday. I live 4-5 hours drive away.

The only concern that I have personally is I arrived and secured a storage unit I arrived 2 and a 1/2 hours before the drop off Is scheduled for 1:15 PM and I was charged for the additional day even though I was on the premises and the trailer was empty.

I had to use storage for long term things and some items I needed to access regularly. However on 3 times I would make plans and would need to access my storage unit during the times it's supposed to be accessible and I could not get into the building due to technical difficulties and could also not get ahold of the manager (number to call on door for problems-) no answer ever! Probably not an issue for everyone but that's a big issue for me! I could not access my unit as agreed upon with this unit however would get charged a late fee if I was less than a day late with payment. Not cool!

When I came to clean out my unit after having stored my apartment there for 5 months, it was infested with mice poop. It was in/on and around every box, on my bedding and I had the throw away a huge Calvin Kline rug because it has holes in it due to rodents.

I was able to rent out a storage container for one month for FREE because I had purchased a one way truck rental, and this promotion is phenomenal. It seems that the company as a whole understands the struggles of moving in general and sincerely cares about the customers they serve. I went in to return the rental 7/27/21. Sat in the hot truck for approximately 30mins with no one attending to me. Finally a guy came walking n told me to leave the key in the truck. I also went in to return my storage unit n no one was at the desk. An African American, I'm assuming came in. While talking to him, he kept walking off talking at the same time. Finally the same came in that told me to leave the truck key came in was gentle and serve me well. I understand the new pandemic world is crazy n stressful, but at the same time, we should continue to serve our business n have the patience. I worked as a nurse during the pandemic challenge... Patience is what took us through.

I think the access should just always be 24hrs. It was hard to get in and out late at night cuz I worked nights. They did well with pest control but during clean out I did still find droppings. The traps may need changing.

Not in the best location. We missed the exit and found ourselves in a very bad location driving to the U-Haul company. The units are clean and very secure. Staff was very polite and helpful! The young man who was cleaning out the unit offered to get the rolling cart for us.

We had a severe mouse problem and there were mice droppings everywhere. Everything had to be sanitized. When this was brought up with staff they said you must have food in there. There wasn't a crumb in there.

Everything has been great with the exception that out of the few times i have visited, the doors for entry were only working properly once. One time the key card entry system was not working at all, as well as the large load in doors, and most recently i was able to use the key card entry but the load in doors were still not operating meaning both times I had to prop the doors open and lift my loads through the small door one by one. If i had any very large furniture items it wouldn't have been possible to get them into my unit.

1. I reserved a 5*10*8 1st floor storage on 2/24/2021 for $74,95 with reservation number#796049-00117857. However, When I went to the office, they told me that was the old price and the same unit I reserved would be $99.95. 2. reserved a vehicle indoor storage on 2/24/2021 for $64,95 with reservation#796049-00117857. I double check with the staff in the office on 2/27/2021 and he confirmed the storage will fit my car. I made the payment $64,95 and storage my vehicle on 2/28/2021 following the staff's assistance. However, I received another $47,85 charge and the rate for the storage changed to $119 on the second day. The manager told me that I am free to move my car someone else, however that would not be an option for me because I am out of the state. This is not a good business.

The gentleman who helped me, William Da Cruz, set up my storage unit and the return of my rental truck was an absolute pleasure to deal with! He explained everything clearly and as far as my situation was concerned it was stressful doing this move but he made the very last part of it, being the storage, a stress-free and pleasurable experience I commend him for his customer service skills and general all-around positive nature. Being a RISD student I had a chance to use this facility every summer for 4 years and even after I graduated I needed to store my stuff for longer since I wasn't sure where I would end up afterwords. The place is clean and always felt safe going in and out of there. The stuff was always super helpful and I would go back there in a minute next time I have storage needs.

If It Wasnt For Him I Wouldve Been In a Much Worse Spot Than I Am Even Now!!! Stellar service and location. I am glad I chose this location based on facts (and not based on some reviews) i really had an outstanding experience all the way from getting the storage, unloading, securing my boxes, having carts always available, very well maintained premises including great elevators. I was there several times over the weekend and a team member was making rounds so felt really safe and supported. A+++++ location and staff. Merci.

Your staff working hard. The line wasn't long. The gator nylon masks they wear won't protect well with the COVID-19 virus. I saw they also were slipping. Two outside guys didn't wear masks & in RI it's mandated. You should try to purchase a tight fitting masks for fall into winter or you'll have staff sick.

I had interacted with a few employees over the past two days. Most of them were great and I would give five stars. The gentlemen that booked my truck was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. His mask was off, explaining the system poorly, would not make eye contact, responded very short and was rude in general. It reflected poorly on the other great employees. I have never had a bad experience with UHual so I will continue using the service but the gentlemen that booked my Truck was terrible.

My storeage had Rat tirds all over my stuff. Pee everywhere. Know i have to replace my 1 500 sofa. Brought clothes to cleaners due to rats. Not only that the rental truck was a mess i took a video when i got in it. Also the tank was not on half a tank it was below it. I have told all friends and family i know to remove there stuff from your facilities. And you double charge for the storage months rent and the truck..

Yesterday when I was trying to move out all the things from the storage unit-elevator in the building was broken. Spoke to staff on site (who opened office ten minutes late) and they said they cant help and offered no solution or assistance. Called UHaul 1800 number-got forwarded to customer care- again no solution and they told me to speak to site general manager. No site general manager present. Most unhelpful customer care and laziest on site staff. I had to carry large heavy boxes in my arms down three flights of stairs. WHY IS UHAUL SELLING UPPER FLOOR STORAGE WITHOUT A FUNCTIONAL ELEVATOR IN THE STORAGE BUILDING?

I can't give it more than 3 stars due to having an issue w the elevator while we were moving in. The elevator literally stopped working and when we called for help no one came. We rang the help button and waited for close to 15 minutes. When no one came we went to the office and finally a lady staff told the guy of the situation but he was busy and came over after he finished what he was doing. We had to carry stuff up to the second floor a few times before the manager came and fixed the elevator about 20min after the guy left and told us there was nothing more he could do and there is no other elevator for the storage place. The staff was nice but there should be another elevator or a staff specifically answering the people at the storage units. Thank god no one was stuck inside of the elevator because we would have been out of luck. Besides the elevator situation it was not a bad move in.

Called to extend my U-Haul rental. Kept getting hung up on. Staff saying"we should of thought about how long we needed the truck" when we planned to move in the same day but NO ONE INFORMED US WE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO. Next day comes around and we go to rent a unit at U-Haul Pawtucket 5x10 ... elevator breaks... we are offered little options to solve this and not even an apology from staff. End up renting a 10x10 in another building having to walk all of the stuff we already moved through the building over the bridge across another building to our unit. Again, no help or compensation offered from staff. I understand that things happen no one can control a broken elevator. But the blatant disregard disrespect and clear lack of customer service your staff displayed was disgusting and I hope you can improve on that.

In hopes that this review makes its way to the powers that be so that change will be made in an expedient time frame. After reading the reviews and having no other choices, I reluctantly gave my business to the Pawtucket U-Haul facility. Day one, when I arrived to pick up the rental truck, the young man assisting me at the desk although polite was not knowledgeable in the areas of my other reservation for storage, the promotion of " If you rent a truck you get the first month free for a storage unit", or the location of the unit itself. He had me walking around in the maze from one building to another. After debating for some time and another associate confirming the promotion we finely got everything squared away. When I returned with my belongings the elevator to my unit was not accessible because I was told they couldn't find the KEY. After about an hour they finally granted me another unit located on the first floor. This unit was smaller in height by two feet, a big difference for storage. Still no complaints. Day two, I needed another unit to store the rest of my belongings. After the transaction was complete the associate brought me to view the unit. We entered the building, but the elevator was broken so we had to take the stairs. Was told by Sandy from corporate and the associate that the elevator is down several times throughout the year and that it was getting shut down in August to be replaced. The associate who brought me to view the unit assured me that the elevator would be fixed shortly so I could move in to my unit located on the second floor. It took the elevator repairman to tell me after waiting 45 minutes for the KEY that the elevator would not be available until a part was ordered. It turned out to be down for two days. I was then told by Corey Perry the manager that they had a "BACKUP" elevator, but it was located in the other building. Now I had to reload the rental truck and drive to the other building. Sandy offered to help reload, but I declined she did not inform me of her affiliation to the company nor did Corey I found out later. Now I was transporting my belongings from one building to another thru dust and debris, making multiple trips even with the assistance of Chris an employee. Afterward I returned to the desk and asked for the manager, I was told he was with another customer. I replied that I would wait, he showed up seconds later. I wanted to know what were the expenses that I had accrued and would be expecting to see on my credit card statement. He offered no discounts or apologies for my inconvenience until I asked. Then told me that he needed to check with corporate and get back to me. All in all after reading the reviews I expected to be treated with unprofessionalism but never thought that the process of using this facility would be so laboring. I was paying two guys $90 per hour for standing around waiting for a KEY to an elevator on both occasions. Needless to say I will not be using this branch again nor would I suggest it to anyone. Sandy from Corporate, Corey Perry manager, Han assistant manager all failed to inform me of their affiliation to the company. I have always used the U-Haul facility in East Providence with NO problems and am very heartened that they were not able to accommodate me this time.

This uhaul location is always understaffed, even on the first of the month (aka big moving days). I have never not had to wait in line for assistance, and the wait ranges from five to fifteen minutes.

The only issue I had was with mice in my unit, I never saw a mouse until I came here and when I unpacked my items there were droppings in some of my stuff. Employees here are super nice

The staff were great but my problem was not being able to get to my storage after 7pm and if I wanted to be there after hours I had to pay an extra fee on top of the $90,9 I was already paying.

The storage seems fine. The bed cart could have been wider without metal bar in between because the bed mattress is very thick foam and could not fit in that bed cart.

The asphalt and concrete ramps in and out of the building are severely deteriorated and not well maintained and caused my cart to tip over or eject items during loading causing them damage.
