Uhaul is a terrible company. They do not describe well how to execute the 24/7 pickup and the customer service cannot do anything more than tell you to download the app. The moving help they offer in addition is also completely useless as you are responsible for making all of the arrangements on your own and if no one picks up the phone at the place you arrange your movers you are out of luck and need to call another company. They do not offer any guarantee that a reservation made online will be honored by the company.

Upon arriving at the store with a 6:00 pm reservation, there was only one associate working the desk. I was not able to get service until 6:20 pm. After everything being explained and checked out, I went outside to inspect the rental and found that the check engine light was on and there were many scratches and dents on the Vehicle. I asked to have them documented, but they didn’t have stickers so they told me to take document it myself. After explaining to them that I wanted it to be them to do it, they simply walked away. This was my first time and only time using this location. Needs better customer service.

I reserved a 10ft truck in Cumberland RI for 9:00 am on 6/30. Got to the location and was told my rental was moved to the Pawtucket location. I was never informed of this and was not happy. So after going to pawtucket and waiting my 9:00 am pickup ended up being 10:30. No communication to me on this. Probably won't rent from Cumberland ever again Thanks Ken clarke

Wait time to pick up reserved equipment was unbelievable — approximately 45 minutes standing in line. The system is totally inefficient and everyone in line was incredibly frustrated. Equipment was fine. Return was also long and same pickup problems persisted. Employees demonstrated no concern for wait time.

I reserved a uhaul 2 days prior to my needing it, we got to the location and the contractor didn’t set us up for a pin or the keys so I was unable to obtain a truck. I was then sent to the location you have in file and waited an hour for a truck. Overall horrible experience. I will no longer be using uhaul for my moving needs. If you have contractors that you’re going to send customers to you should be making sure they are doing their part.

Clean the windshield! I thought the check in process couldn't get any more involved, but I was wrong.....Now, you want us to download stuff on our phone to check vehicle pictures and confirm/contest conditions found....Too bad the pictures are too small on the cell phone to see all the little dings/dents.... The staff was very nice/helpful, but the check in process is getting worse instead of simpler/better...And yes, I did take the time online to fill out all the info that was supposed to simplify the process....

I ordered and requested the North Attleboro location and got an email that I had to go to Pawtucket. Even though they had the exact trailer in North Attleboro they still told me i had to to Pawtucket. Asked if i could just take that one "that wasn't getting picked up till the next day". Nope! Stairs made unloading very strenuous and difficult. Extremely loud security alarm was blaring in the facility and staff said they couldn't turn it off, so we had to suffer through it. Door to the storage building was broken- had to enter through far away door which was very inconvenient. Please repair asap. Staff was very nice.

Returned the van before closing on 5/24/19 in good condition. Was charged a damage fee for a 'scratches on sliding side door' . Van had no damages when we returned it. As a matter of fact...we used back doors to load and unload a dresser. No side door was used and neither did this van have a 'side sliding door'. I feel that I was unjustly charged this damage fee. As a result I will not be using UHAUL in the future. In the unlikely event that I find myself using your services I will not be using this particular location. What a shame to treat a customer in this way.!!

Used this I haul for 4 years on and off. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Never any problems.

The customer service was trash. The guy inside at the counter made me feel stupid and made me look like an idiot in front of the people who were waiting in line. Your employees should be aware of people doing quick check out and handle it differently and not say very rudely “Can I help you with something?” While rolling his eyes when your app specifically told me to “cut the line” and proceed to the side of the counter. I feel bad enough as it is cutting everyone in line and your employees made it worse. The young man who helped me outside was the most friendly hard working employee there. And he is probably being paid the least. The cost and the ease of use to get the truck was good and met my needs but there is ZERO chance I come to this location again.

Reservation made at the last minute with a guarantee that the van would be at the pickup location on time. Service was great! Very fast check out early in the morning. very friendly staff. Easy inspection before departure via cell phone app. Minor issue was that there was an "Oil Change Warning" light and alarm was ringing every time the van started. Check In was fast an easy as well!

I paid to have this professionally installed. I had to put parts of the trunk together, and I also discovered that a part that guards the bottom of my car was not cut but thrown away. I had to ask for the guard and the I instructions on how to cut it. Why did I pay you to install it, of it was not going to be done correctly. My car is important to me and I am very OCD about it. I am not satisfied with the excuse of I don't need it, if the instructions tell you how to modify it to put it back. Also to discover that silicone was not used and had to insist that it be used is not right.

My reservation was canceled and the manager at the store did not have an adequate solution to my problem. He showed no concern and didn't offer options. The facility over booked and incorrectly saved my contact information. For this reason, I was not contacted for a cancellation. It was only until I called customer service when I received help. I would not recommend using the website or calling in a store because it is useless! If you need to make a reservation call customer service right away.

My rental was supposed to be changed to a local rental rather than long distance when I spoke with the confirming agent. It hadn't, and when I shared that with the pickup agent, I was informed that the local would only be 6 hours. Rather than think about simple alternatives it was a black and white conversation making me feel like it would be impossible to accomplish. It was my son who asked if we made it a one way into Providence if it would work. That would have been a simple alternative that the agents could have presented as an option to solve the problem.

Strap was broken. But didn’t realize until I was over a hr away. When I call uhaul I spent 1 1/2 hrs be transferred between customer service and road side assistance. The people at road side assistance were great. Clear and percise , let me know what and how they could help. Customer service was awful. Without even listening to me or letting me explain, he was argywith me. It was completely ridiculous. I then tried to have road side fix the strap so I could get up early and try and go back to get the truck. I got phone calls and text message all through out the night. Literally getting calls at 230 in the morning. I have beeen renting uhaul trailers for years. Never had any problem. This was one of the first times I have had any issue. Uhaul did a awful job dealing with it. But I do appreciate the refund I received

Poor rating started with 800 call center, they booked wrong trailer. When I got to the first location I wasThen told the trailer I needed was local only and I was doing a one way rental. Options limited I rented a auto transport. 5 hours over 2 days to get a trailer. Worst experience with uhaul ever.

I paid for 24 hr access & many times I couldn’t get into the facility. I tried calling the GM whose name was on the outside of the bldg for emergencies & he was not helpful. He even hung up on me.

The storage seems fine. The bed cart could have been wider without metal bar in between because the bed mattress is very thick foam and could not fit in that bed cart.

The asphalt and concrete ramps in and out of the building are severely deteriorated and not well maintained and caused my cart to tip over or eject items during loading causing them damage.
