Very poor location, difficult to get in and out of. Truck was not maintained. Drove 1100 miles with excessive vibration, felt like tire was going to fall off. Steering wheel way off, uncomfortable position. drivers seat collapsed low. cargo area leaked water in the rain, got some of my boxes wet. Picked up 26 foot truck with 1/2 tank, should be full when picked up, especially a large truck that is very inconvenient to fill up. I will never use U Haul again.Sean M.

OK, well your online condition check out has improved...But again, like before, the pictures that appear representing the current condition can not capture all the little/minor dents and scratches present. It was fairly simple to add close up pictures though, but you can only add just one picture per for each condition category. The website is very clear about how much will be charged for returning a "dirty" vehicle. My vehicle was in no way "dirty", after all it is a work truck. But, it had not really been washed and I had to make note of that because I don't want to get charged for returning a dirty vehicle. The one area that needs improvement is proper windshield cleaning...Someone had attempted to clean the windshield but just made a bigger mess which resulted in dangerous glare while driving at night/direct sunlight. Another positive note, the desk clerk was courteous and pleasant, and processed my rental in a timely fashion.Donald K.

The dolly that was in the rental the zip tie was broken. Didn't realize it until someone bumped it and it fell off it looked like it was pushed through. Told them when we returned and still was charged. Called was told we need to examine everything and pull on the ties the next time not fair unfairly charged. And online I rented a storage unit when I arrived to pick start the process he said they only had 5x5 left that you can't trust online. I asked how is that possible he said it wasn't his problem last second had to scramble to get a unit. You would think when one was reserved someone would follow up .Frank P.

You changed my location from Cumberland near my home, to Pawtucket - very inconvenient location. Then, I would have to pay 600 $to leave the trailer in NC, so I trailered it back. Then, I could not even leave it in Cumberland. Had to drop it off in Pawtucket. The experience leaves me searching for alternative company next time.Glen N.

Truck was in poor condition- Key was bent and ended up packing the van for nothing. Truck would not start, had to unpack truck and spent several hours trying to get help to get the truck running. Day was lost and now trying to be reimbursed seen we never finished the job.Lawrence D.
I would honestly say that I'm not sure there's much you could improve. This was a great experience. The guy handing me the keys called me "Boss" and the guy who grabbed them from me later seemed pretty chill as well. Professional, helpful, not rushed (but also not taking his own sweet time); thorough with explanations, answers every question completely. I would absolutely not recommend quick stop in charles providence rhode island. I booked my uhaul weeks ago from pick up there arrived to the owner saying all of his trucks were gone when there was in fact three in the parking lot. Him telling customers none were available, I went back in and explained there is a 10 foot available outside and he told me I was mistaken it was a 15 foot and I could not use that one. It was in fact a 10 foot it said it on the truck. He then told me there was nothing he could do so I had to wait on hold 30 minutes with uhaul to switch locations the pawtucket location was fantastic no problem. But absolutely do not recommend quick stop the owner seemed very confused and unwelling to help.Kaitlin R.

1. I reserved a storage unit and then was told there were none available. 2. I dropped off the car dolly and the guy was no help at all as I struggled to back the trailer up. He just sat in his van. Like that is all the guy did. He sat in his van and just drove around the building.David E.

My customer service rep - Karl - was helpful and kind. When I did the point check for dents and scratches I failed to look inside the utility trailer for cleanliness. After driving home to load my golf cart - only then did I realize the utility trailer had pieces of glass and several screws and nails across it. I had to take the time to sweep it out. I immediately made a call to the location however I was forwarded to a customer service line that noted my account. When I returned the trailer later in the afternoon the customer service reps informed me I would have to contact corporate for any compensation or reimbursement. The inside of the pick up truck was also dusty and dirty as even during this time of extreme pollen (the excuse the reps gave me) the inside did not show any signs of had been being wiped clean.Michelle B.

Mobile return is a joke. The system kept crashing and I was on hold for literally 15 minutes before someone picked up. In the end, I was not helped and charged the 20 $convenience fee for dropping after hours.Luke L.
Everything has been great with the exception that out of the few times i have visited, the doors for entry were only working properly once. One time the key card entry system was not working at all, as well as the large load in doors, and most recently i was able to use the key card entry but the load in doors were still not operating meaning both times I had to prop the doors open and lift my loads through the small door one by one. There was no one outside directing you as to where to park the truck and take the car off the car carrier. Very poor communication with customers. Many people dropping off vans and very confusing as to where to go. Also got charged 6,83 $ for fuel. When picked up the truck there was less than half a tank of gas and when dropped off the truck had half a tank of gas. Don't understand why there was a fuel charge. Feel there should be a better system when returning a rental and some one should go thru the truck with the renter to check the fuel and also check for damage and see if the renter had any issues with the truck.david V.

This was the easiest rental experience I have ever had. I rented a trailer and when I showed up it only took about fifteen minutes before I was driving away. The gentleman (sorry I don't remember his name) mer me out back and hooked up the trailer for me. When I returned it, I dropped it off where I got it and I saw him in the parking lot and he told me I was all set. It couldn't have been any easier than that. It's a great placerobert G.

My u-haul was filthy, covered in cigarettes and marijuana. There was cigarettes butts in the cup holders. Trash in the back. The customer service representative named Levi was extremely rude. Didn't want to be bothered. I've never rented a uhaul ever in my life. This was my first time. I wasn't explained anything. I was just handed paperwork and that was it. Horrible experience. I will never go back to this location if I ever need a u haul again. I was also over charged. I did 35 miles and I was charged for 76 miles. Overall I don't think I'll ever use u-haul again.SARAH T.

1. I reserved a 5*10*8 1st floor storage on 2/24/2021 for 74,95 $ with reservation number#796049-00117857. However, When I went to the office, they told me that was the old price and the same unit I reserved would be 99,95 $. 2. reserved a vehicle indoor storage on 2/24/2021 for 64,95 $ with reservation#796049-00117857. I double check with the staff in the office on 2/27/2021 and he confirmed the storage will fit my car. I made the payment 64,95 $ and storage my vehicle on 2/28/2021 following the staff's assistance. However, I received another 47,85 $ charge and the rate for the storage changed to 119 $on the second day. Being a RISD student I had a chance to use this facility every summer for 4 years and even after I graduated I needed to store my stuff for longer since I wasn't sure where I would end up afterwords. The place is clean and always felt safe going in and out of there. Your staff working hard. The line wasn't long. The gator nylon masks they wear won't protect well with the COVID-19 virus. I saw they also were slipping. I had interacted with a few employees over the past two days. Most of them were great and I would give five stars. The gentlemen that booked my truck was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. His mask was off, explaining the system poorly, would not make eye contact, responded very short and was rude in general. It reflected poorly on the other great employees. My storeage had Rat tirds all over my stuff. Pee everywhere. Know i have to replace my 1 500 sofa. Brought clothes to cleaners due to rats. Not only that the rental truck was a mess i took a video when i got in it. Also the tank was not on half a tank it was below it. Yesterday when I was trying to move out all the things from the storage unit-elevator in the building was broken. Spoke to staff on site (who opened office ten minutes late) and they said they cant help and offered no solution or assistance. Called UHaul 1800 number-got forwarded to customer care- again no solution and they told me to speak to site general manager. No site general manager present. Most unhelpful customer care and laziest on site staff. I had to carry large heavy boxes in my arms down three flights of stairs. I can't give it more than 3 stars due to having an issue w the elevator while we were moving in. The elevator literally stopped working and when we called for help no one came. We rang the help button and waited for close to 15 minutes. When no one came we went to the office and finally a lady staff told the guy of the situation but he was busy and came over after he finished what he was doing. We had to carry stuff up to the second floor a few times before the manager came and fixed the elevator about 20min after the guy left and told us there was nothing more he could do and there is no other elevator for the storage place. The staff was nice but there should be another elevator or a staff specifically answering the people at the storage units. Staff was extremely rude and dismissive.rented a truck and a storage unit. Called to move in. Told us we can't because no move ins after 4:30. Well no one told us that. Called to extend my U-Haul rental. Kept getting hung up on. Staff saying"we should of thought about how long we needed the truck" when we planned to move in the same day but NO ONE INFORMED US WE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO. Next day comes around and we go to rent a unit at U-Haul Pawtucket 5x10 ... elevator breaks... we are offered little options to solve this and not even an apology from staff. End up renting a 10x10 in another building having to walk all of the stuff we already moved through the building over the bridge across another building to our unit. Again, no help or compensation offered from staff. I understand that things happen no one can control a broken elevator. But the blatant disregard disrespect and clear lack of customer service your staff displayed was disgusting and I hope you can improve on that.Makenna M. | Premières impressions

In hopes that this review makes its way to the powers that be so that change will be made in an expedient time frame. After reading the reviews and having no other choices, I reluctantly gave my business to the Pawtucket U-Haul facility. Day one, when I arrived to pick up the rental truck, the young man assisting me at the desk although polite was not knowledgeable in the areas of my other reservation for storage, the promotion of " If you rent a truck you get the first month free for a storage unit", or the location of the unit itself. He had me walking around in the maze from one building to another. After debating for some time and another associate confirming the promotion we finely got everything squared away. When I returned with my belongings the elevator to my unit was not accessible because I was told they couldn't find the KEY. After about an hour they finally granted me another unit located on the first floor. This unit was smaller in height by two feet, a big difference for storage. Still no complaints. Day two, I needed another unit to store the rest of my belongings. After the transaction was complete the associate brought me to view the unit. We entered the building, but the elevator was broken so we had to take the stairs. Was told by Sandy from corporate and the associate that the elevator is down several times throughout the year and that it was getting shut down in August to be replaced. The associate who brought me to view the unit assured me that the elevator would be fixed shortly so I could move in to my unit located on the second floor. It took the elevator repairman to tell me after waiting 45 minutes for the KEY that the elevator would not be available until a part was ordered. It turned out to be down for two days. I was then told by Corey Perry the manager that they had a "BACKUP" elevator, but it was located in the other building. Now I had to reload the rental truck and drive to the other building. Sandy offered to help reload, but I declined she did not inform me of her affiliation to the company nor did Corey I found out later. Now I was transporting my belongings from one building to another thru dust and debris, making multiple trips even with the assistance of Chris an employee. Afterward I returned to the desk and asked for the manager, I was told he was with another customer. I replied that I would wait, he showed up seconds later. I wanted to know what were the expenses that I had accrued and would be expecting to see on my credit card statement. He offered no discounts or apologies for my inconvenience until I asked. Then told me that he needed to check with corporate and get back to me. All in all after reading the reviews I expected to be treated with unprofessionalism but never thought that the process of using this facility would be so laboring. I was paying two guys 90,00 $ per hour for standing around waiting for a KEY to an elevator on both occasions. Needless to say I will not be using this branch again nor would I suggest it to anyone. Sandy from Corporate, Corey Perry manager, Han assistant manager all failed to inform me of their affiliation to the company. I have always used the U-Haul facility in East Providence with NO problems and am very heartened that they were not able to accommodate me this time.CARMEN M. | Premières impressions
