I rented a storage unit at U-haul for 4 years and 8 months consecutively (the same unit) and I was treated disrespectfully, put on hold for over 20 minutes with no repeat follow up from the U-haul staff member, spoken to rudely , interrupted repeatedly when speaking with a representative, had my U-haul truck rental reservations canceled and moved to a location 30 miles out of the way and it is much more details I can add here, but this is just the overview of my experience.I will never recommend U-haul.

I rent cargo vans and small trucks on a regular basis and prefer this location to all others. Not only because it's the closes to me, but they have all the boxes, tape, & other miscellaneous items. 95 % of the time, they have the equipment I need & if I need to extend my rental a day or two, they almost always can accommodate me!

I made a reservation approximately 2 weeks prior to pickup, arrived on time and was told they “don't have my reservation.” That was it. No solution. After awkward pause, I had to initiate a conversation regarding how I was to have my reservation fulfilled. I called the manager who thankfully was able to ensure that I got the next truck, unlike the person who was helping me at the store, who said I “might get one of the trucks that was returned. The nonchalant attitude was not appreciated.

Verify that has tanks are FULL. I put 11 miles on the truck and had to put in almost 6 gals of gas. I'm sure the truck does better than 2 mpg. This increased the otherwise reasonable price of my rental quite a lot.

The Greensboro store is a great store but the people that plan the transportation lied to me making me use someone else next time they said I could pick up my truck between 12-5 Saturday and the truck wasn't there I drove 3 hours to get it and damn near lost my mind because it wasn't there

Original employee who received me in told me that I just needed to call an hour ahead to access my u-box. I called 2 hours in advance and was bounced between 2 phone numbers and out on hold to even request to pick it up. Then I was told there were not enough trailers for me to pick it up, I informed them i could come with an enclosed trailer to pick up my items if need be. Then i was told for 2 days that they were unable to locate my ubox. I was told that the person that received it in did not allocate it to an inventory location so while it was received, they had no idea where in the warehouse it was.... Finally, I just got a confirmation that my reservation for the trailer had been set up, but was never told that my box had been located. I had to call in to verify they even found it. Then upon arriving, it seemed like I was a burden to all the staff. Not so much as a greeting was had. That being said, Aaron (or Erwin?) Was incredibly helpful over the phone when trying to locate my box, and the 2 gentleman that help hook up the trailer were helpful. But overall very disappointed in my experience and I will not be using u-box again.

The level of attention to Customer Service is beyond exceptional. Yesterday when picking up my truck, another customer in front of me had no clue about renting a truck or dolly. The young lady helped them through it and another employee a young man grab the dolly as he told the where to park the car. I reached the counter and knowing the process all my information was on my reservation. John noticed that the customer before me was driving off with the back open and the dolly sliding out. He began to run across the yard as the young lady was calling there phone. By this time the dolly had slid into the street but John made it across the yard to stop any In coming traffic from having any accidents. The young lady reached them so they knew to stop the truck. This could have been bad at this time of day on this street but the actions of the two employees prevented that. I know John's name because he was answering the phone while the young lady was walking that customer through the process. I think he's a new employee. So this just shows this was a Great hire along with Great Training. This location makes it easy for me to do business with them and helps me manage my business effectively!!

Unclude all charges for shipping upfront. Explain that the customer needs to set up all appointments for picking up and dropping off. Explain that all goods could move around a lot during shipping and to make sure to not put valuable items on top as they will move around and break.

The one thing I like about this location is that even when they have new employees. They all have and maintain a high level of professionalism as well as Customer Service. This a test of a true leader in the Manager at this location.

I dropped off a rental truck at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday 11/13/21 and while standing in line, the customer service representative asked if I was dropping off. I said yes and she told me to leave the keys in the truck and they would email my receipt. Later that day I received a receipt saying I had returned the truck at 1:22 P.M. and was therefore charged an additional 19,95 plus tax. I called the store and they said I had to call customer service. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer service who were very helpful and they told me the extra charges would be refunded. Very frustrating. I'd appreciate it if this could get back to the people at the store in hopes they don't do this to anyone else.

The staff at this location is polite and professional, and a less than excellent rating should not be reflected on them. My less than excellent rating is entirely reflected in the fact that the description of the unit on U-Haul's website could more accurately reflect the size of the unit.

Non existent customer service. Poor communication and some biased employees. An employee named Chelsea was rude and never followed through with our reservation and nothing was done about it. A 26 ft truck out of state rental and the storage unit was upstairs with no elevator and no one mentioned that. I had to rent three units to be avoid hurting my old self and the people I hired to do the job. Trash and rat traps litter the place.

There were 3 emploiyees but only {the manager} was actually working . The other young lady was new and had no clue of what was going on !!!! Then there another young lady that just disappeared. after a few minutes mind you, there were at least 7 customers in line and there were 5 customers outside . The line outside was to the street with cars and Uhauls piling up. It was very unorganized and like I said the only employee was the manager . Can't remember his name but he was an older white guy who never said anything to the people in line. Never acknowledged anyone or anything.. I waited at least 30 minutes and finally had to stop the manager and let him know I had somewhere to be. I got charged for the truck being late even though I was there on time and waited 30 minutes in the store I will never use this one again. And I am not the only one who verbally proclaimed that. Oh yeah, all this 2was on Saturday for one and it was GHOE..

The guy at the counter was very rude. They also didn't include the dolly that we ordered so we had to go back and get it. The guy didn't believe us and was giving us an attitude until he looked it up. It made us lose an hour of our time and we ended up having to rush like crazy.

Should keep someone at the checkout at all times. Had to wait 5-10 minutes after I arrived for an employee to come into the store. I also should have been told to drop the trailer off at the main U-Haul office in my destination city. I wasn't given a specific drop-off address and the address I was given for reference due to it being open late would not accept my trailer since it was not scheduled and his lot was going to be full once he receives his scheduled drop-offs. I also stopped at another U-Haul dealer who did not accept trailers. This was very frustrating since I did not know that some dealers do not accept trailers either at all or once their lots were full. Also, these smaller dealers often have inadequate space to park and maneuver trailers which creates unsafe conditions if have to exit with trailer.

Nothing as Always the Manager and his Team are Top Notch!!! When I returned the truck saw an employee check in a truck then walk the property picking up trash. Can't say enough about the way this store is run and means a lot as I own my own company. Like doing business with organizations that take pride in putting the right people in place.

The crew from Greensboro and Lexington, NC were wonderful. The crew from Lynchburg, namely Hailey, this ubox delivery person, was very rude, brought 6 boxes without any covers and hung up on our attorney. She also brought her boyfriend onsite when delivering the initial order which was 7 days late. Her demeaning attitude was not appreciated during the entire experience. It was also disturbing to learn that this was a her boyfriend was a NON-employee brought to my residence. Joshua Polk did try to rectify the situation but at that point we had brought in our attorney. He worked his day off to get us the uboxes and went above and beyond to get us on the timeline to not falter on our sellers contract. The Greensboro crew were very professional, timely and easy to work with. My Highest Regards go to the Greensboro and Lexington facilities, as a lot of this that happened in Lynchburg would have been avoided if they had been in control. Over all, the experience were a success as we got all of our items delivered and uboxes returned without any more issues.

The alarm was going off the entire time I was getting everything set up. That took close to 45 min and it was still going off when I got done filling up my unit. Also got a nasty past due email and when I called the lady couldn't tell me why. Unnerving especially considering I verified my free month in advance. Made a reservation a couple days prior and it was nowhere to be found when I arrived. It's close and convenient but otherwise nothing good about it

The process of moving into a new storage unit as a student was complicated and stressful. My information was entered in wrong and trying to contact someone about the errors was difficult. When I brought up the errors the rep did not seem to care about it and just shrugged it away.
