Was given a gate code to get through the gate that worked, but unit itself was locked and would not open upon arrival, with no direction or way of opening it. Not fun after driving across the state. Booked a 10x10, but was told that one wasnt available....this issue is booking means nothing apparently. When I booked it, it was available. Now I am paying more for a larger unit, I didnt need a larger unit. I needed a 10x10. Is it really first come first serve? So you book as many as possible knowing that that size unit may not be available when a customer shows up at the location and the appointed time? Bait and switch? OK originally me and my crew were loving the U-Haul and the help that we were receiving (at FIRST). however, when we called to extend our truck for a second day we were told that we qualified for a month of free storage as well (awesome!) so we booked the storage unit for the first floor and then the next day when we go to drop off the truck we literally cannot access our storage unit whatsoever (through the website or ANYTHING????) and there is literally no help on the grounds and no help on the phones and of course the system happened to be down everywhere that day. then, U-Haul tells us that we can return a truck the next day free of charge and they would figure out our storage issue (again, awesome!) THEN, The next day the woman on the phone is telling us that she has no records of the storage unit we booked and has to book us another one. I ask if she has one on the first floor and she says yes. THEN, we are told later on, YET AGAIN, that records of our storage unit booked cannot be found AND WE HAVE TO BOOK IT AGAIN FOR A THIRS (THIRD!!!!!) TIME but now there is no available units on the 1st floor (and we have large furniture) and we have to LUG ALL OF OUR STUFF ONTO AN ELEVATOR TO THE SECOND FLOOR AND I HAVE ASTHMA. at this point I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS. LITERALLY THEE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN HISTORY. Look elsewhere for your moving needs, I don't see uhaul being around much longer if this is their deranged idea of "Customer Service" the free storage turned out to be a MIGRAINE of issues that was way more trouble than it was worth & I would've told them to shove the "free storage" option if I knew that. the only ONLY sliver of okayness was the dude at the location we dropped everything off in was able to keep his cool when me and my boyfriend were rightfully angry about this atrocious experience.kelly b. | Premières impressions

I was very disappointed. I had a 10x20 storage unit reserved. When I arrived to the office, I was told there were no 10x20 available, only 10x15. Unfortunately, we were in a position where we had to take what was offered and now are struggling as to what to do with our remaining storage because another unit will put us over budget. I am giving an average on our experience mainly because of when we first arrived to UHaul Storage. We had a reservation for the unit but when we got there, no one was in the office, even though the hours posted said someone should have been there. After sitting on hold for 30 minutes, we ended up having to go to the UHaul rental place about 5 miles away to get the code and unit number for our storage. We were told that they did not have enough employees to staff the office on that Sunday. I told them if that was the case, then a sign should have been posted or I should have been contacted about it. It was quite annoying after driving with the trailer for 5 hours to find this to be the norm we were told. Merci.Sharon C. | Expérience générale

Collection processes surely violate fair debt collection practices. Office would call multiple times day payment was due. Not past due. even though we had a history of timely payment. Had a bit of a hard time finding a taxi to get back to my new townhome 9 miles away from this drop-off location since there were no Uber drivers anywhere nearby who would come pick me up. Recommend this location find and work with a local Uber driver or private taxi company to set up some kind of an arrangement, perhaps with U-Hauls online system, so those like me who drop-off a one-way rental truck don't have to wait an hour for a ride back to their new home. Other than that inconvenience, the receptionist here (Liz) was very friendly and the drop-off experience was smooth and easy, and she sent me my closed out rental contract via e-mail within 30 minutes after checking my drop-off truck for damages (none), mileage, and fuel tank level. I was also real happy with my pick-up location service in Pinellas Park, FL 90 miles north.Edward M.

When I arrived for my pick up the entry gate got damaged by another customer. I was having trouble with my reservation and despite the chaos outside the employees were incredibly patient with me and able to help me on my way. The girl who checked out the vehicle to us was very nice and professional, but the guy who checked the van back in was a rude, the if. Not only did he try to rip us off, he was rude and hateful. He told me I owed 98,00 $ and change. When I questioned the bill, he squwaked and became meaner. He snapped at me requesting my last name while checking his computer. How could he quote me the original price without my name. The discussion got worse once I challenged him, he even through the girl who checked us in, under the bus. When I told him what the girl said to me upon checking the vehicle out, he told me that she must have been being nice. What does that mean, that she is usually mean and unprofessional like him? Not only did this jerk try to rip me off charging me 98 dollars rather than the 68 that I owed, he ruined my mood first thing in the morning. I was his first customer of the day. I feel sorry for anyone who had the misfortune of encountering this guy after me. I will never go back to this store/location, ever! You are only as good as your employeesJimari H.

Local Pinellas Park people were great! I had issues with trying to cancel my space via telephone. On Thursday 12/24/20 I spoke to a girl (did not get her name) and canceled of space as we no longer needed it. She was helpful and said that the space was canceled and we did not need to do anything else. Unfortunately on 12/27/20 I got a charge for the upcoming month on my CC as it was setup on autopay. I called on 12/27/20 and spoke to a very rude lady who said we could not cancel over the phone and had to do this in person. She was nasty and we hung up on her! I did get everything taken care of in person with Richard (local Pinellas Park) and he was great! The facility is convenient access to my home. However when I scheduled my climate controlled unit I was unaware of it's location on second floor, my disability inhibitors my ability to be able to accept that location. I went to the management to change the location and was made to feel as a burden. I accepted the disposition of the employee and rented a floor unit with climate control, asked if this unit would be put on auto pay, I was assured that it was indeed on auto pay. Fast forward to a month later, I get three emails reminding me of my rent on two units, however I have one unit. I call the Uhaul rental but get the hotline, the lady assured me it would be taken care of but unfortunately days later, after oral surgery I might add, I'm called to pay for two units. I attempt to explain the situation yet again, the lady is absolutely helpful and pleasant I was able to pay for one unit and was assured the extra unit will be discontinued. I think if the employee that first dealt with me would have done his job efficiently the enormous situation of conflict and extra stress. I had an overall pleasant experience with U-Box during my cross-country move. Initial loading and final unloading for a single box were great. The woman who did the transaction was abrupt and sharp, almost rude. She was not wearing a mask and sneezed on my credit card and drivers license. She never smiled or made me feel as though I mattered as a customer. She needs to learn some people skills, patience and politeness. She should not be dealing with customers. The unit we were in ended up leaking from the ceiling during rain. It was a 10x10 drive up unit. U-haul had roofers come out to fix it within a week. A few weeks later during rain we came back out to check but unfortunately it was still leaking. U-haul gave us an indoor unit at no charge to put some of our stuff in to keep it clear of the leak and we put a trash can in to catch any water before it was fixed again. They also didn't charge us for a month of storage. During this process the staff was VERY apologetic and accommodating. They don't have control of roofs or rain so I think they did a great job to help us as much as they could.MAJA L. | Expérience générale

I have nothing but good comments for this U-Haul rental store. They worked with me while I was in a rehab center due to a stroke. They allowed my daughter, her friend and my ex-fiance to pick up the truck even though I wasn't there to give them my credit card for payment(they did it over the phone). The rental agents were very nice and thoughtful and the rental prices were very reasonable. I would recommend them to anybody.Dean L.

I rented a truck to move my family. When I returned the truck. U-haul made a mistake and process 500,00 $ from my account. I call them right away about this they said don't worry it's only pending they won't process the charge. Well they were wrong it went thought. Now I have to wait 5 business days to receive my money back..Allison G.
I tried your online checkin and checkout. Unfortunately both were cumbersome intrusive without notification that the need to call alternate contacts was required. And responsiveness of the process was terrible. As well when returning the truck I had to complete the process on your employees device. As mine would not complete the process took almost 2 hrs. My only complaint is a Uhaul Rep called me the day before pick up and asked if I would take a 20' truck upgrade at no additional cost for 29,95 $ instead of 17' truck that I had booked. I stated YES. When I went to location to pick up truck the next day the associate ended up charging me 39,95 $ for 20' truck and didn't honor the upgrade for the same price of 29,95 $ that I was told by Uhaul Rep the day before. Maybe better notes need to be left on account when upgrades are done for no additional cost. I didn't realize the additional charge until the day I brought truck back & they charged my credit card the extra 10,00 $Sandra H.
