I was mislead by a text saying I had to have the truck returned by 9:30 pm when I had only rented it at 3:30 pm that same day. Since it was after hours I drove it to the lot and deposited the key with plan to return at 7 am when they opened to explain they were wrong with time of return. They said they had already checked the truck in and charged me an additional $20. I tried to explain but the guy was not willing to listen. I finished the move without the truck because I was following your prompts and didn't want to get into trouble. I feel like my money should be refunded. People should always "listen" to the customer. He didn't give me a chance and didn't care.

Prior to picking the truck up, I was told by Pam over the phone what the charges would be and when the truck needed to be returned. At check in I communicated this to Ross, but he did not follow through and charged me differently. I immediately questioned the pricing since it did not reflect what I was told by Pam and Ross responding by saying that he could not confirm when the truck needed to be returned until the transaction was complete. After completing the transaction and notifying him that it was wrong he told me there was nothing he could do because it was complete. Ross has poor customer service skills and is untrustworthy. I was very dissatisfied and had to make a call to get this resolved when it should have never been an issue in the first place. Ross should find a new career because making money being dishonest is not an ethical living and not a way to gain the respect of a customer.

The trailer was in bad condition with U-Haul x’s all over it from dents , broken parts /welds, sides cracked with tape coving them and the paint all cracked. Overall did appear to be road worthy. There were two workers -1 male helping a customer and a female. When I walked in she walked outside passing me- stating I needed to wait Minutes later she came back and asked what I needed. I said I booked a trailer and was told no one was picking anything up today so I must be mistaken. After looking in the system- oh I guess I was picking up a trailer today she said by surprise. I needed to lift the trailer on to the car as she did not want to hurt herself. Wrong line of business for this older white haired lady

This is my second time renting a pickup truck from this location, and both times I had to wait extra long due to what seemed to be lack of employee knowledge of using the computer system. Both times my reservation needed to be changed to a walk-in to resolve computer issues, which makes it feel like actually reserving a vehicle is pointless. The first time in July 2019 there were issues with getting my ID associated with my account, among other issues with the computer. Yesterday, the employee checked in the person who came in before me as me; clearly not checking the name on their ID with the name on the reservation. He got as far as giving them the keys to the truck until they realized the mistake (I'm guessing because the other customers were presented with the wrong vehicle when they got outside). Their photo ID was associated with my account during their check-in, it was shown that my reservation was paid for with their cash, and my receipt still shows their address on my account. A female employee who was off the clock came in to help when she saw there were customers, and she changed my reservation to walk-in and got everything else corrected (besides the address, but that detail was never confirmed with me at the counter). I was there for nearly 45 minutes, with only one customer in front of me (the one who was misidentified as me and almost given a vehicle under my account). I understand computers issues happen, and I'm a fairly patient person, but yesterday's mistake of not verifying ID properly is a bigger issue that should be addressed with additional training or hiring of different staff. It boggles me that the employee took the other person's ID, scanned it into my account, and never realized the names didn't match. When I used the Uhaul app to make my reservation, it said "your wait time when you pick up was just cut in half" - which worries me that I could have had to wait twice as long as I did. It's a clean facility with a nice looking fleet of vehicles, but at this point I wouldn't recommend using this location to others or using it again myself.

Employees talked negatively about each other behind their backs and in front of customers. Not a very professional environment. Service was good, not great. Waited 10 minutes for employee to perform return and then had to enter the building where employees were sitting around talking. Had to ask for assistance for return process.

I rented a 6x12 ft trailer to transport a zero turn mower with a 61 inch deck, I thought a 6 ft wide trailer would fit a five foot wide mower. Unfortunately, the ramp was much narrower than needed, and I was unable to use the trailer. I was not offered any recompense for the inability to use the trailer I had rented, company policy. I even had to help the associate move the trailer back into a tight parking place. The associate checking me in was very helpful, and genial, unfortunately, this trailer just did not work for me.

Not the friendliest of people but ok. The guy didnt show me anything or tell me anything about the truck just said its outside and ready for you after the paperwork was done and this not the guy who waited on me. The trailer I picked up had glass in it and the guy never noticed it but I took pictures and when I returned it I asked if they needed to see them they said no. I wasnt very pleased on these issues at all.

Full service U-Haul center with loads of inventory and easy access. Staff were fast and helpful during one of the busiest moving times of the year (Labor Day weekend + college kids back to school). Only one issue; the app used for auto-return of the vehicle wasn't working, employees has to complete the transactions manually.

I wasn’t impressed. I’ve worked retail and sales for a long time and I felt there was little or no explanation of the process of rental. The part that actually got to me was when trying to read and understand I felt as if I was inconveniencing the salesperson. They just wouldn’t budge and kept repeating “it’ll be printed off in your invoice”. It’s a common goal in sales to help your customer feel comfortable. Also they charge way too much. When you call, or drive by is a different price than when you actually rent. Had I known I would’ve used and alternate service.

The truck brakes squealed like a banshee every time I applied the brakes. Because there was no apparent issues such as idiot lights on the dash or brakes seizing, the person who checked the truck in on return was not concerned. Also, the truck had less than a 1/8 of a tank of gas when I picked it up. Poor job U-Haul!!!

It was VERY difficult to use your app and especially on mobile to get the right information about the ubox move - especially with moving help. Couldn't get the payment code (and was never texted it) on phone, so couldn't pay immediately. Moving Help charges $10 for a cust service call, so couldn't easily get help

The location and staff were friendly and helpful in that they tracked down a truck for me in Plainfield, an hour away. Unfortunately Uhaul is completely unreliable. I had a reservation 2 weeks in advance, only to be told it would be 6 hours later than I booked it for and I would have to travel to a different location, and then to go to that location only to be told the truck wasn't there and they sent me to another location. I was told I would be able to drop off my truck in a closer location, only to have Uhaul not follow through and require me to drop it off farther away or pay a fee. Call center team told me things they did not deliver on, and each store didn't seem to know what was previously agreed to. Overall very poor experience, I won't be coming back

Never use a regional UHaul Pick up. My reservation was changed 4 times and the truck was still not ready when they said it would be. Saukville UHaul saved the day and had a truck available and were very helpful in fixing what the regional people messed up.

Over an hour to get the computer system to work. One associate walked away and left me to wait for another associate to try the system. My truck and trailer were out front. No one went over it with me. Just “your truck is out front” the truck was the worst rental I ever had. Tires were dry rotted and no where near the proper inflation. The steering was dangerous. The front end was worn beyond safe driving conditions. The alignment was terrible. The truck in and out looked like it had been through a war. The engine light was on and off half the trip. Myself and my co driver are both life long vehicle technicians and could write a huge list of major safety concerns on this truck. Do not ever rent this truck out again it could kill someone! I demand a call from a district manger. I have run many dealership service departments. If a vehicle ever left one of my facilities in this condition there would be firings and individuals put on PIPs with major mandatory training. I would be curious to see some of U-Hauls elearning or instructional training for pre-delivery inspection. If it exists? What is the check list? Please send me a copy of the PDI sheet on my rental.
