The only thing I hate is this after hours check in link crap. Could not get the link to show my reservation and also was put on hold with customer service for 50 minutes and then hung up! I feel the charge for the equipment I rented was over priced. I rented a open top motorcycle trailer 5x9 and only had it for 14 hours total and was charge 130 $. UHaul advertises full trucks for 19 $. Please review charges for open trailers and adjust accordingly.KALEB R.
We had an awful experience because your team installed the trailer improperly. It was extremely dangerous for us to be driving with it and they should not have let us drive off the lot with how low it was installed. We had to come back and spend 2 hours to fix it. One woman was extremely helpful and nice, and I'm so glad she was there to help, because there was a man who when I walked in for help immediately said no no we can't help go away.BRIAN A.

Arrived at 7:40 AM ..One clerk with 4 people in line. SHE WAS A VERY HaRD COURTEOUS WORKER EFFICIENTLY TAKING CARE OF ALL IN LINE. U-hall Did a disservice by not having a second person processing to SATISFY THE customer. She gets the credit but UHall took advantage of the customer.ALAN C.
The ignition switch was messed up on the truck, I tried to flag it to the person who checked it out to me and it didn't seem to be a concern. It took me a lot of time to start the truck every time, I had to keep it running to put gas in it because I wasn't certain if I could get it started again because of this. When I returned the truck I did flag this difficulty to the person checking me out and they said it was common with these trucks. I wasn't thrilled because I rent uhauls or drive them for work multiple times a year and that isn't the case. While I was driving my sun visor kept falling down in my view of driving, throughout the ride the mounts for the sun visor kept falling off and it was a lost cause. AC was almost not working, this truck isn't a lost cause but clearly lacked basic upkeep. I understand places are short staffed recently but there was almost no one present in the storefront or equipment return without long waiting times. My friend and I were literally making jokes about second hand selling your boxes because of how little presence there was in guest facing areas. We had to wait 20mins in the showroom area just to have an employee show up to get the key/ignition question handled.EMILY H.

9' van I rented, had no functioning taillights, was nearly rear ended by multiple vehicles as they couldn't tell when I was slowing down. Such a safety hazard, one would think something like a taillight would be of the upmost importance & inspected before rented out. Disappointed & will not be returning to this location.Antonio T.

Fix the website to return trailers after hours. It would not let me upload a photo to check it in. I had the frustration of that failing on multiple browsers on my phone, then having to call your different customer service lines to get to the correct one, then had to call in the morning because I did not get the check-in email I was expecting. from non reserved rental at counter to the courteous check in staff..all was tops 5 stars.. the only thing is I did opt out of using your insurance.. and I usually do take it.. it went up in price by 11 dollars...while this is not a large increase. it does flip things for a several hour local rental. so most that have their own insurance will opt out. i always took the 14 dollar insurance out of convenience. I strongly recommend that you two tier the insurance with a even higher increase say 30 dollars..for longer more risky trips and offer the lower earlier rate for locals...my trip was for a refrigerator and stove...like 50 miles or less total...you would have had my 14 bucks...but I held on to my 25. still the best..but u decideARIEL R.

I used the check in/check out online function. It guided me to drop the keys in the drop box. I received a call from this location after my drop off asking where my keys were. When I told them I dropped them in the box, the person who called me exhaled and hung up on me.Erik B.
This location Is located on a VERY busy road, and turning left into this location (with a trailer attached) is almost impossible. We were not familiar with the area and accidentally pulled in to the opposite side of the building. Rather than accommodating us and letting us unload the trailer there, the attendant told us that we needed to take a LEFT back out of their parking lot to then take an another immediate LEFT to pull in the very next driveway (which I mentioned earlier is practically impossible on this busy road). It would've been very helpful for the attendant to say â€œWe know that it is horrible trying to turn left out of here, so this time we will help you out and unhook the trailer on the right side of the building, but please remember for next time to return it to the other side â€œ. Note- we were returning the smallest enclosed trailer, so it could've easily been pushed to wherever they needed it to be parked. It was pretty inconsiderate, considering it was in the congested city of Chicago.Troy S.

The reserved equipment was not available, even though it was confirmed. Please be aware and careful to sign off / approve the current state of the vehicle. The pictures shown are clearly very old (didn't even have the same advertisements) and show none of the damage on the vehicle. Inside of vehicle smelled like cigarettes, visor hook was missing so the visor dangled in front of the window obstructing view of the road. The only good thing about this place was that service to pick up the vehicle was quick.BAS B.

The Uhaul app is horrible. It's not the pickup location's fault, I spent an hour trying to get the app to work when I dropped off the truck, but it didn't work. The pickup location was helpful, I have no complaint against them.Raymond S.

Trucks steering was terrible. I felt like Jed Clampett driving the Jalopy. I don't expect a U-Haul truck to drive like it's on rails but I'd like if it went in the general direction I wanted it to go it. Also pretty sure the transmission was about to blow.Scott G.

Truck had issues. No matter how hard i closed the doors the dash constantly showed one of the doors was open. The seatbelt light was on even though we had them on. The visor clips were broken.Samantha G.

If I had to suggest one thing is maybe have a team member do a walk around with a customer to point out pre existing damage on the vehicles . There was a single employee present and a long wait to be helped. Once I was assisted during checkout the employee was so rushed that he couldn't process my transaction properly. He offered no information on how to access my unit. I attempted to access on my own immediately after being checked out and I was unable to access any of the doors. I returned to ask why and found out he never processed the transaction. I then had to wait again for the single employee to come back from 'hooking up a trailer' which was partly true, the smoke break being the other.. Then this employee was unable to read credit card numbers on his own, I had to repeat phone numbers and card numbers repeatedly over 10 mins for him to finally be able to actually process the purchase of the unit. I then had to ask him multiple questions on how to access, where the unit was located, etc. as he offered no detail proactively.nick k. | Premières impressions

Veronica was very polite and helpful. She even gave me a water bottle after I asked if there was a Coke machine. (I was extremely thirsty after moving everything into the facility on a warm, humid day.) My only suggestion for the facility would be to put in a little ramp of concrete to cover the big bump at the threshold between the parking lot and the indoor storage facility. There's a big bump whether you go through the large garage door or through the small door next to it. This makes it difficult to push a fully loaded cart over that bump and into the building. I went to drop off my stuff on the storage only to be blocked off by all the Trucks, so I had no access to the drive up ramp not only that but, there was a lock on my storage unit that I did not have the key to so I couldn't take anything in it even if I wanted to.
