There are not enough rolling carts for customers to use to move into/out of the storage facility. I was in and out many times during the day and only ever saw one small cart designed for mattresses. When I inquired of the manager he said the others were in use but I suspect that either they were abandoned somewhere inside the facility or they were missing completely. The staff should check this periodically throughout the day and walk the premises to recover abandoned carts and bring them back to the entrance. They should also consider getting more carts. I am comparing this experience to one at a near by Extra Space facility where I also have a storage unit. Extra Space has many more carts available for customers.STEPHENJONATHAN S.

My unit was climate controlled and on the bottom level which was convenient. I was appalled at the dead mice and mice feces in/on all my furniture and cherished items I placed in this unit during Covid. I paid 4 000 $. during this period for renting this storage unit and I had to spend lots of time cleaning mice droppings out of the furniture. Charged and extra 104 more than already paid online. Then the cab was full of water bottles from previous renter. Told on line we had 7 days... the guy at the rental store said 5 days! Resulting a hurried trip to Missouri.. renter drove 24 straight hours instead of being able to sleep , as the truck has to be back early! Not pleased with the service this time around!MATTHEW L.

Both pickup & return of vehicle at Oxford Street was simple, easy, convenient & efficient. The folks at the pickup location were friendly & professional. I had booked the vehicle at the East Bay Self Storage location in East Providence. Pat made the reservation process very easy & explained charges, etc. before I signed the agreement. I called east providence and they said YEP we can accommodate you. I booked it and 5 mins later they call me from Providence location saying you have to get and drop it here. Well that was a bit of a bait and switch. It worked but added 45 mins round trip to my already stressful move.Jennifer J.

I had a wonderful experience renting the truck. I went to a different location and didn't have the truck I needed. The young man called this location and reserved the truck I needed. This was the worst experience imaginable. I was called 3 times the day I was supposed to pick up the truck moving my pickup time. When I went to pickup the truck after hours the website would not allow me to do online check out and I was on hold with customer service for an hour before giving up. I had to come back the next day, which disrupted all my moving plans and was especially frustrating since I had intentionally reserved the truck for the day before. Furthermore, I was not given any financial discount for all my time wasted and the poor service. I will be discouraging friends from using uhaul in general and this cite specifically.IONE H.

Minor inconvenience. We returned truck 15 mins after closing, but employee was still at the office. He would not take the key because it was after hours and we had to go through the return process online and put keys in drop box. It would have been easier if he just took the keys.PETER D.

Upon getting in the truck, it appeared the gas level was actually below what had been marked. I drove 15 miles, put in three gallons of gas, and was still charged for four gallons -18,00 $ after returning it. I would recommend double-checking this with the next customer - especially since the truck was parked on a hill.Beck S.
Online check-in process was frustrating. Even though I shared my location with the website (also ensured settings were set appropriately), it would not let me move past that step when on my phone on a Safari browser. It did work on my girlfriend's phone on a Google Chrome browser. If she wasn't there I might have been out of luck. Rental pickup went smoothly. Personnel was friendly and accommodating. Two issues can be improved. 1) Drop off location was not identified by sales person at site, and I was told To just call 1800 number and they'll help w that. However was not told that locations to drop off are very limited and change frequently and some can be 1,5 hrs away if not arranged early enough. This is a major piece of info missing as it means travel plans must be adjusted on day of drop off.Yll A.

The truck I rented was a piece of crap but I only needed it for 8 miles. Even though I was charged for 11.....it had one extra mile on speedometer when I picked it up but I was there so long because the computers were down I didn't care about the 0,99 $, then I dropped it off and they tacked on 2 more miles....horrible customer service, truck in very bad shape, never againHeather S.

Arthur was extremely kind to us, as new storage unit renters. Since my husband and I did not know how long we'd need to rent for, he gave us our first month free! He and George were helping to train a new employee, and were very patient with him. They were all a very nice group of people. Our once concern was that our move in did not take place until after hours, and someone went into the unit who may or may not been living out of one of the storage units. By far the worst customer service I've ever had in any company. Place is literally a joke. I've since started using Budget rental and its a night and day difference in terms of every aspect. Been a customer for years and still get treated like garbage festering in the summer heat. The staff at Oxford St. went above and beyond to deal with a dumb mistake that I made. I dropped off both of my rentals at Oxford St., and neither of them were scheduled to be there. This mistake clearly made for a confusing and likely aggravating situation that the staff dealt with on my behalf. I could not be more grateful and appreciative for courtesy and help I received dispute my failures as a customer! UHAL ruined my moving day! Making reservation online few weeks before the due day - done! Some emails with UHAL APP updates came out and after these updates and using the app, my reservation was updated with mistakes. I was sure that the UHAS stuff and "proffecioanl" customer service could solve the issues in-person, BUT I was wrong. After few hours of trying to proof my point and listening all rude excuses from the personal - I truly wanted drop it and never deal with UHAL again. After all this awful conversations, taking all the blame for the APP, online and IT issues I had to load the truck at late night and after all I had to have to bring it back to different location (far from my place), with not my planning time and paying for extra miles (even though I was promised over the phone that won't be charged). So some how my moving in/out day was over with solved, much more difficult procedures, than just rent the truck. But that was my the worst customer service experience ever!!! Wish would never have to have to work with the same company again (or the same people there).Eugene K.
