5409 Westmoreland, building 1100, inside storage, Not Secure. Latches cut on 7 lockers, early morning 12/15/24 . Contents spilled into hallway. And remained for at least until 12/21/24. Personnel, on duty, notified on 12/15/24. Outside gate was open on 12/15/24.

Tina F | Premières impressionsThe storage unit that was provided belonged to someone already so when we made the trip to put our belongings in it, it was padlocked we waisted gas and miles, we had to leave our things on the truck that night. I had to miss work due to having to move the next day! So I also lost money from work. However I did eventually get a storage, they did extend the truck hopefully they'll take care of mileage since it's U-HAUL fault that we went over paid miles. Oh and lady in the front office is rude!

There was a couch in the walk way blocking access to my unit. A lot of clutter in the isle. I expected better since it's climate controlled. No one to ask for assistance. Not professional.

He was very helpful and knowledgeable. 10/10 for Rico - and if this name isn't ringing a bell, he drives a gold suv. Other than that I was not happy with this experience. I would first like to address that two employees Nicholas and Iyces both informed me that I have to come INTO the physical establishment to pay a "move out fee" in order for their managers to move me out. They both stated that they didn't know exactly how much it was going to be but I had to come in to make the payment and it had to be in cash. I was extremely confused and very frustrated because no where on the app (which is where I requested my move out) did it give me these directions to officially move out of my storage unit. I'm not sure who told them to say this but what I can say is I felt scammed and I feel bad for those who actually listened to this and drove up to the location the pay this strange cash-only "move out fee". I called a representative from U-Haul's customer service and she confirmed that there is no such thing as a "move out fee". She called up to the store and I was immediately sent a zeroed out receipt of my move out via EMAIL not in person. They gave me false information over the phone and that's upsetting. Next thing, the information on the boards posted at the storage location is not updated making it impossible to get in touch with a manager. Please update phone numbers. As far as cleanliness, there was a roach in my unit and I have never had roaches. I understand that's out of uhauls control and more so the other tenants, however, I did not have any peace of mind keeping my belongings here because I couldn't stop thinking about the roaches in my unit. Overall, I'm happy that I moved out and I don't ever have to worry about coming back and dealing with that locations customer service or the pests. I'm also grateful for all of Rico's help!!

ASHLEY P | Premières impressionsSome of my belongings were ruined I had to throw them away ( my loves eat that matches my couch and my box spring ) had rodent urine and feces all over it , there definitely is rodents and bugs in the storage when I removed my things from the storage , the storage area was full of dead bugs and wete trying to charge me a clean up fee , but those bugs are their problem not mine ( they need exterminate the premises immediately one of the staff members was very helpful ( Natalie)

I work in customer service and this is very sad. I've rented from U-haul for over 25 years and this is the very first time that I have had to voice a complaint.

And I feel like she was being racist because I'm Hispanic and she is black and she just wanted to charge me like she told her employer to charge me because I was not going to get that freee called customer service and they got squared away after they read a pamphlet that they had on their desk. Being that she's a manager she knows the rules and she still was upset with me for some reason I don't know why and she wanted to charge me for 130 which is unacceptable because customer service said it was free all I was going to pay was for my second truck then I'm running from you guys I'm not gonna use U-Haul ever again maybe the trucks yes but the storage no and I don't not never wanna walk into that office ever again those girls are mean and the manager racist I wonder how many Hispanics they charge like that but I'm not the one.

TARA J | Premières impressionsPricing seemed fair .. i wouldn't recommend adding insurance honestly waste of money .. i was already on hard times so I had to put my things in storage so not necessarily anyones fault ..anywho the First couple of months I made the $75 payment w no issue (considering I still have other bills) but the payments weren't easy to keep being made so I kept getting the ridiculous charges of late fee and other fees . Which then Made it hard to pay but I needed my clippers as I am a barber so I hustled and got the 200 plus dollars and got my stuff and left. For what it was worth I kept my stuff safe until I was able to get it all at once. Again if you need a temporary solution yes do this but again opt out of the insurance will save your $15-50 and set a time frame for your own sake.

When I arrive I have to walk things up ans down hall. 2 things bothered me. 1 time I was late over 4 years, yes my fault, me my mother git calls ans letters prior to even talking to me or leaving a message. 2. The fial month I paid 1 day late then 12 TWELVE days later I arrive to get items after a 5 hour drive and my unit has a lock on it. Therefore it took a day to lock me out but 2 weeks to open ? Then I get there during posted business hours call the office and after hours numbers to get unlocked. No luck, I tell them I plan to be back early AM I return and at 9am still locked out of paid unit and told would get it Sometime today. I stated unacceptable and they did finally come.

I stayed on hold till I got out the gate and drove down the street to the store and to only walk in and nobody was doing nothing just playing on there cellphones and I walk in with my phone on speaker and they could hear me on hold and even said my name while they were just Laughing at me because they know I was on hold for a long time and they were not trying to work & ghetto … U-Haul this says a lot about your company and the district…

The storage was for my mom who had recently passed and as we begin taking everything out. There was so much taking from the storage that held sentimental value because it belonged to my mom.
