Nothing to improve upon that I can think of. The staff (picking up and dropping off) were good. Very easy and quick transaction. Will definitely be back here for any of my towing/hauling needs. I actually just reserved a car hauler for the next weekend.

Almost every time I called to pay I got put on hold. Usually I would hold for a while and hang up. On the timer with 20 minutes and then hung up. Any service on the phones suck. And I wasn't sure when I was in and get there to pick my stuff up. I picked everything up the 25th. It was after 6 o'clock. Nobody is in the office. I tried calling to check out. Couldn't get a hold of anybody. So I came back the next day and basically I paid $55 for one day storage. Did you guys the prorated anything. I would never recommend U-Haul to anybody and I would never use U-Haul again.

I originally reserved the trailer at the Redding, CA location (Cypress). When I arrived to pick it up, they did not have the trailer I reserved. I drove 30 miles to the Red Bluff location, and Jennifer made it right for me at the last second, right as the store was closing. The trailer worked fine. Thank you Jennifer for going the extra mile to make it work for me at the end of the day - that meant a lot to me.

When I was asked the question about how many miles I expected to drive the U-haul truck, I was unaware that if I went over that mileage I would be charged extra. I went over the estimated mileage I stated by 2 miles, and I was charged an additional rate. I think employees should be more upfront about this and I also think that a 2 mile overage charge is absurd.

There was no one at the desk to give us keys for around 10-15 minutes. Maybe have a mobile check in kiosk that dispenses the keys? If people aren't going to be in the store consistently

My rental experience was great, but the only issue I had was that the credit card machine wasn't working properly. The gentleman helping me was very professional and handled the situation well. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone.

You have a very rude and inconsiderate associate by the name of Rhett Stehno - if that is not his name - his shift was on Wednesday morning 5/3/23 He told me to look at the breakdown cost of the total amount for the truck I was taken - but I did no have my glasses- so I could not completely see the figures. That's when he looked at me and said “I am not going to play that game with you.” What game? So, I called him up on it. He went and brought the truck around and dropped the keys somewhere in the truck and walked pass me saying, “the keys are in the truck.” No apologies, no thank you for your business! Completely rude.

Maintenance was not done on the vehicle prior to rental The check engine light came on five minutes into travel. There was no customer service available. Once contacted, they said I called the wrong number. There was no walk-around prior to rental. Also, they logged the tank as full when it was only 3/4.

Fire your mechanic. Maintenance your trucks better. Get tow companies that are willing to come out when you break down after 9p.m. an before 8 a.m. We were stranded on side of road for 14 hours with 2 elderly, 2 young parents and a 1 year old baby. The truck had no transmission fluid an brakes were not working properly. Will not rent from Uhaul again.

Worst experience ever. I was over charged. The contract that I signed was altered after I left resulting in more fees. The dolly wasn't provided even though I paid for it. It was horrible. I will never use U-Haul again and have submitted a complaint.

This site in red bluff is a busy hub. These workers fiercely navigated COVID and being essential for our community. At a time when burger king employees were earning more than them. They provided our community with more than essential need. They stayed working..... They are hard working polite helpful and honest. They should be commended on their selfless dedication during a crisis......

Employees like to blatantly ignore you until the literal owner comes out to help you. Dude at the counter was literally just on his cell phone on Snapchat. But I got to rent a trailer that I needed and the guy that DID help us was nice.

Went in to rent a 6' Ã- 10' inclosed trailer. Upon arriving i saw about 15 of them in a row so i thoigh oh good they have pleanty, nope not the case. The girl at the counter informed me they only had one intown 6x12 trailer and the rest were alotted for one way rentals. They informed me that there was a reservation for the only intown trailer they had for the prevouse day and i had to have the trailer back by 8 the next morning mind you it wS 3 in the afternoon. So i aske if i could get a discount because of the limited time. And i was told very sternly by the manager no cant do it. I know for a fact he could have done something because inused to be a uhaul dealer. Bottom line is if you are in tue rental business and you have q5 trailers in your lot sitting to go one way what is the huge deal to rent it for in town. Thanks jeff

This facility in Red Bluff has the most laziest staff I have ever encountered! The problem I have had is that I returned my rental trailer on Monday evening and the staff didn't bother to check it back in until Tuesday morning causing me to have an additional days fees added to my credit card. This is the third time this location has done this to me and I am not at all a satisfied customer of this particular facility! I will most definitely look into other facilities before I ever go back to Red Bluff!!! TWO THUMBS DOWN ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE 

Though pleasant to deal with, the staff was not forthcoming with information needed to access my storage unit. When I entered the unit I was given an access card presumably for the security gate. At that time I was given no instructions for its use. Thinking it should be fairly straight forward I left. When I returned to move items into the unit I approached to #2 gate on the north side of the facility, excited my rented truck and spotted my card at the keypad terminal. It read, 'welcome Steven Becker' and that was it. The gate did not open. I swiped my card about a half dozen times with no luck. I left the gate drove up the hill to the office where I found no employees. Knowing where an employee possibly could be I walked to his location. When I explained the problem he told me, that's because you need a fob. I was not given a fob. We then went back to the office where he gave me a fob for the gates. He explained to me the gate numbers coinciding with the numbers on the buttons on the fob and sent me on my way. I left the office and proceeded back down the hill to gate #2. After waiting the 2 minutes, I was told to use the fob I attempted to open gate #2 with the fob, pressing the #2 button and hearing an audible beep eminate from the keypad terminal. The gate did not open. Thinking I needed to use my access card in conjunction with the fob I did so. This time the terminal read access denied, code unknown. I did this a few more times then left to try gate #1 on the south side of the facility. I passed by the employee who issued me the fob and was asked did it work? I replied no and told him I tried my card. He responded, saying no it won't, now that you have the fob. I said ok, thanks and proceeded to gate #1. At gate #1 I pressed the #1 button on the fob and eureka, it worked. The gate opened. I arrived at my unit and found it was locked with a padlock. I then walked to the office, this time finding an employee helping another customer. I waited my turn and told him if the lock. We left the office, walked back to the unit where he unlocked the padlock. I unloaded my items and left. I attempted gate #2 for my exit thinking perhaps I didn't give the fob time to activate. No luck again. I then excited via gate #1. A couple hours later I returned to unload more items and return the rented truck. After entering gate #1, unloading and securing my unit with my circle lock I attempted gate #2 again for my exit. No luck. I then departed via gate #1 and drove to the return point. When i got to the return point, the employee that issued my fob came out to take possession of the truck. When i told him my fob did not open gate #2 he told me "Yeah, the board in the terminal is broken" we ordered a new one but it was broken too. It's been broken for a month or so and it takes 30 to 40 days to get the new part. This would have been very good information to know when I signed for the unit initially. It would have also been very helpful to know I needed and therefore received a fob for the gates when I signed for the unit. It also would have been helpful to know that I needed to immediately place my own lock on the door of the unit otherwise the facility would place their own to keep it secure until I moved in. To go along with that, I should have been told that had I not immediately place my lock on the door I would need to come into the office prior to attempting access.

Had unit for 8 months. Never missed a payment. Emptied my unit on the 4th was told I do not get a refund for the remaining month. Agent said we do not prorate. What shady business practices. In good conscious I can NOT recommend this place. What kind of company steels money from its customers.

While overall the staff at Red Bluff UHaul was friendly and helpful, the young lady who was checking me out when I vacated my unit, upon returning from checking my unit, stood outside the door chitchatting with some customers while I was waiting for her. This was more than simply answering a question. The conversation went on and on until another employee asked if I had been helped and I told him I was waiting for her. He went and got her, and when she came in, she did not make eye contact with me, just printed out a paper and handed it to me. Her behavior was rude and unprofessional.

Everything was so great. Staff was just awesome. We were so exhausted at rhe end of trip..the only thing is we saw were two live roach small ones at the door of the new unit 285 we were moving into. Not the best to move into. Staff and facilities 5 star. Roach thing scares us and only 2nd day there....

Great service, I just wish there were more options for extend trips if I need an extra day to move. Also, I resent being forced to have a uhaul rep check in my uhaul and charge me for it. That was shady. I spent significantly more money on this trip than any other uhaul trip I've taken. I probably won't do it again because of the price.

**I hope I NEVER need to use U Haul again!!!!** My father passed away and i placed some large, heavy tools and art work in a second story unit right after he passed. My plan was to move these items to my home but i was offered a free month of rental so i took it. When i went to pick up my stuff from storage i discovered 2 things. First, the elevator was broken! Second, i was locked out w a non payment note on my unit - It was one week before the end of the month! I was moving other items and had rented a u haul truck and movers to help, but the elevator was broken. The stairs were at the other end of the bldg. the movers were going to charge an extra $200 to move my items down the stairs. I opted to wait for an elevator. I called a number of times during the next month to check on the elevator. It was broken for at least a month. I finally had to pay someone w a truck to help me move up and down the stairs. I called on monday to check on the elevator, still broken, so imagine my shock when i arrived with my paid helpers on Wednesday and the elevator was working. I had people with me to move who i had to pay since they were there. The Red Bluff staff were nice, and i believe that they were as frustrated as the customers w the elevator situation. however, I did not hear once "I am sorry" "i apologize, "how may we help you?" I did hear "it's supposed to be fixed soon. " How can a company the size of U Haul take that long to fix an elevator? Why was I not offered up front compensation? Your broken elevator cost me hundreds of dollars and tons of frustration. I got three phone calls and was locked out twice for non payment during a "free month" of storage. As a customer it is very obvious what the corporation of u haul considers important - money-certainly NOT customers or customer care!

The place is clean and well maintained and the staff is great. I got an upstairs unit because it has an elevator. Shortly after I moved some of my things in, the elevator broke. It has been a month or more and still broken. I am 66 years old and have had both knees replaced. I have a very hard time climbing stairs without carrying anything. Carrying boxes up the stairs and to the opposite corner of the building is near impossible.

I have recommended U-Haul Storage to several people. The staff was always nice, but the manager at the Red Bluff one was rude to his employee when I was present. I thought that was unprofessional. The employee was very professional and a sweet boy.

Renting the unit online it doesn't tell you that the access code is not valid and that you have to physically check in and get a key card. The employee was not clear on which door I needed to use to enter the building. Just a little confusion with the unit alarm going off.

It was a cheap price but. They did not say at all or in paper work if u leave the rv spot with ur rv they will not give u any money back as a pro rate i left 3 weeks early and they kept all my money so that was horrible service

When we arrived our gate code didn't work something about it had to be reset and it would take 24 hours, any way the man that helped us was very nice and helpful. The online process was quick and easy. I went to move in and my access code was declined so I went to the office and was told they only use card access now. They were out of cards though. So I went up again to unload and there was no lock that was supposed to included. So went back to the office and had to get a lock. Had to listen to the alarm every time I opened it because I had no card. Annoying but overall I'm moved in and hopefully someday I can access it without having to go to the office and get permission to enter my unit..

Got the last ground floor unit. The young lady that helped me was very nice. Bought boxes on two different occasions and both times she offered and helped me load them. I'm a happy camper!

I requested a smaller unit way over a month ago, I never received a phone call. I was moving stuff out and needed to downsize. Couldn't see paying the money for a 10 X 20. I just went ahead and moved everything out. I got tired of waiting. No one ever answers the phone you have to go down there and talk with someone. Very inconvenient.

Whenever I called, If anyone answered, I was always immediately put on hold. There were more than 10 times I was on hold for more than 10 mins. I found it extremely difficult to get through to anyone. Other than that it's an ok Uhaul experience

The pavers that are installed between the parking spaces and the indoor facility make it very difficult to use the carts on. The items bounce and shift when each wheel goes over Each paver. While they look pretty they are not mover friendly. I would suggest not using them in future locations.

1. The alarm system goes off every time I open the door to my storage unit. 2. The online reservation system said the lock would be inside the unit when I arrived. It was not. The staff at the desk seemed surprised that I expected the lock to be inside the unit. 3. The climate control system does not seem to work very well at this location (Red Bluff, CA). The thermometer inside the building indicated 85 degrees. 4. Other than these minor inconveniences, the facility is very clean, modern, and in a very convenient location. The online reservation system was easy to navigate and simple to complete. I like that this facility, in addition to storage units, has all the items one would need for packing, storing and moving. Very nice.
