Did ok. I wish they would elaborate their policy little more. I don't like the milage charging and half tank of gas is pointless. I would like to recieve a FULL tank of gas for what I'm paying. Most rental trucks do this and it is very convient.

I had reserved and rec'd confirmation email for a trailer over 2 weeks ago in Eureka. 2 days before pick up I get a call and a confirmation email that the trailer not available in Eureka and to be picked up in Arcata which was fine. I get a text to call to confirm. I call the number and was told the trailer it is not available there either and I should get a call from U-Haaul and if not to call back. So I have to call back and the lady gave me a U-Haul # that is for U-Haul Box. The lady at U-Haul Box ask me e why I was calling U-Haul Box? I only know what the lady gave me... never had heard of U-Haul Box!!! She transfers me to an U-Haul agent - Mike, who told me I would have to pick it up in Yuba City!! I told him Yuba City is hundreds of miles away from our location, he was basically useless.... so he transfers me to a "rescheduling dept to reschedule the product". I explained to Mike I do not need to reschedule.. after go round with Mike, I told him to transfer me and it was to the right department. Mike needs more training and different wording... I spoke to Sadie who explained, Yuba City is the corporate office and when not available the location downloads to Yuba City!!! Big, Big difference!!! Sadie was very helpful and useful and she was able to provide a trailer on our way to our destination without us driving hundreds of miles out of our way.. which we would not have done.. So bottom line, U-Haul should not send confirmation emails, text or phone calls as they mean nothing... and the customer agent - Mike needs a lot of training. Thanks to Sadie and the Red Bluff location, these women were professional and committed to get the customer-us what we were requesting.

The staff that assisted me when I arrived to pick up my trailer did not seem properly trained to do his job. I was already a little frustrated upon arrival, as I had to drive an hour each way to get the trailer. I had reserved a pick up in Chico, Ca, but was told no trailers were available. The extra 2.5 hours out of my day weren’t planned for. I was in Chico for my daughters college graduation ceremony on that day. The male staff was not very pleasant. He seemed frazzled and confused as to how to rent me my trailer. He stated several times that the computer system was down. He asked that I check in online for my reservation which I did. He still could not figure it out. The lady working there told him to just write it up on the paper contracts. She then left to go and get the trailer ready. Although I do understand this generation, and their addiction to technology, he should have been properly trained on how to fill out paper contracts. He stated that the systems go down all of the time. Clearly, a back up plan should be in place. What could have taken 15 minutes ended up coasting me an additional 45 minutes out of my day, on a highly stressful day for me. My hope is that He receives some adequate training in the very near future. I rent from Uhaul quite frequently and will be planning a big move in December. I have never been dissatisfied with the service until trip. It really was disappointing.

The day before leaving I was advised that I had to travel over 45 mins 1 way to pick up the equipment, then was sold a lock that didn't fit the back to secure my belongings..... the blankets i ordered were not provided, causing me to find covers to protect my things, and the hand truck i ordered wasn't provided, other than those stupid mistakes, the truck and trailer were fine.

During the registration process, the agent asked me for another person's number. I gave him that person's number which he dialed. As the phone was ringing, my phone wrang. He leaned over the counter to look at my phone. Mind you, my incoming call had nothing to do with the transaction. If it had been him calling, wouldn't that have been discovered when I picked up the phone or he got the voicemail? We proceed with the transaction which was higher than my original quote (I think because the transaction was moved from Chico to Red Bluff). I stated that it was higher. He informs me that what was on the screen was not higher than my original quote. How is he debating the quote when he didn't see my quote when I reserved my items at the Chico location? I asked him to remove the coverage which caused him to have to start the transaction over. He forgot to give me the hand dolly. After he hooked up the car dolley, he asked if I was going to unhook it to load it. I told him "yes." He proceeds to tell me at this point that it was good that I didn't pay for the coverage because unhooking it would void the contract. Without the coverage, I needed to walk around the vehicle and dolly to upload pictures of damage. When I asked him about what to take, he wasn't helpful just stated that this was new and that he saw someone get charged with a $100 fee for a dent. He said pretty soon, they'll just be there to clean the trucks and prep them to send back out. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day but the whole exchange was not well received.

When I returned the trailer I was told there was no break fluid in it & it was pulled from inventory to be fixed. Someone took it on himself/herself to rent it. Fortunately nothing happened. Could be a small mistake but a better procedure needs to be implemented.

While dropping off the truck was a bit confusing... we do not own smart phones.... so clearing in the equipment left me a bit puzzled. Customer service was not willing to solve a few issues, being charged twice and the rep did not proceed with my reservation, instead he made a new one. He ended up booking me a 10x10 since there were no 10x15 storage units available, however I still had a reservation open under my name for a 10x15. I did not find this out until I called customer service later that day (to report being charged twice) but I had already moved my belongings in the storage unit. Because of this mistake, I was not able to fit everything into the storage unit and had to leave some pricey items in the donation center. :(

Mostly lazy af employees. Can’t answer the phone. Can’t take payment. Can’t let me drop stuff off, just because you show up towards the end of the day. They make up bs excuses. For $80/month I expect a lot more than that and general rudeness from the guys. If your looking, just get a different one, they don’t even do after hours access and half the units are smaller than advertised.

BlInkers quit working So I tried to Locate a bulb, no way of getting to the bulb unless you get the fenders tore off some how but they are riveted in. I called and thought I had it all squared away but apparently I was charged for everything when I was unable to use the dolly. the Ladies that took down notes were very kind and helping! they were cheerful and althoughI was on the phone for more them an hr I had good company but the final decision from the higher up was and is wrong I do not appreciate being ripped off
