I had no interaction with personnel. Location was easy to find, limited parking spaces available to actually drop off a vehicle, saw several other trucks behind me coming in to park but there weren’t any more clearly marked vehicle spaces. Hopefully they found somewhere to park!

Apparently at the end of the month you don’t have enough staff to clean the vehicles between rentals - the cargo van I took out for a week was dirty in the cargo area and in the cab there was liquids spilled in the cup holders and on the passenger floor. All good though - I put sheets down to stay clean. Would help the staff if they had lose support in busy times. Staff was friendly as always - I have rented here before. Thank you

I would never recommend anyone to use U-Haul but I will spend the rest of my life warning people that U-Haul over books. They leave you screwed with a happy smile that says they give you 50$ if they break their guarantee. They send you to different locations than reserved then once there they send you an hour away in the opposite direction to get something you didn’t even reserve. Drove over from Victoria to Vancouver was to pick up a 8 by 10 from Langley as I had reserved weeks ago. Then told to had to go to abbotsford once there told sorry don’t have the item you reserved, sorry sucks to be if you planned to move and needed to load and be out by 1 that day. Falls under the category sucks to be you. But don’t worry we will give you 50 or you could drive an hour anyway and get a smaller trailer... because it’s the busiest day of the year! Ya I know that’s why I reserved question is why did you over book if you also knew it was the busiest day. Why not all U-Haul has to do is give me 50 bucks and they wash their hands of my wasted ferry costs there and back, my 500 security deposit for handing to leave a suite full of stuff... Worst place ever. Know I no that reserving means nothing and you can screw people over whenever it’s convenient for you. Funny cause if I had to do a last second cancel you would charge me. Anyways posting comments to all google ratings, sharing on twitter and commenting of face book.

I returned the vehicle to this location and enquired about why my credit card was charged a different amount from what was signed and the associated told me to call 18004684285 for billing issues. I called the number and the person on the phone said they could not help me and I had to call 18007893638. When I called the new number that person could not help either saying that the credit card end has closed for the week. When I figured out why there was a difference (USD exchange) and called back, the associate said that a manager will contact me in 48-72 hours. For some reason I was charge USD for a Canadian rental as shown on my credit card statement which I mentioned to the associate. I specifically asked for them to call me as I will be on vacation after the 24. I come to work the next day and I see an email from Nicholas Spears who says the following "You were charged in Canadian dollars. A likely source of confusion is that our website is US-based, and our credit card reporting has a US address. However, for any rental in Canada, all charges are in Canadian dollars. I apologize for any confusion" Did this person read the notes on the account? I'm frustrated and starting to think U-Haul are full of incompetent people. From start to end my experience with such a large company has been miserable. I think I will go with other truck rental companies in the future.

The manager was very good and helpful. I believe her name was Lyn. I do not agree with the environmental fee charge. Seems like an upsell.

A few weeks ago I rented a van for a move on July 27. On the day of the move, I was made aware that they did not have a van for me as the employee made a mistake and made a reservation for a pickup truck instead. This was a frustrating and unsatisfying as I needed a vehicle that could supply me as much space as the van. Clearly that truck fails to compare with the space that a van has. As a result of this, I had to ask a couple of my friends to come along and use their car for extra space. In addition, when I eventually agreed to take the pick up truck, the employee on that day did not give me any information about how much gas I needed to refill for the truck once I returned it. I realize that human beings make mistakes but people need to take ownership of their own mistakes. The worker gave me a 10 dollar return but considering how inconvenient the whole situation became. I simply do not think that 10 dollars justifies the mistake that they had made. I wish that the store ensures that their workers are trained, careful and understanding in order to eliminate these types of situation.
