We rented a storage unit and a moving truck at the Richmond Uhaul on Shell Road. The staff (Benny, Abiy and Bryann) were knowledgeable and very helpful. We took forever to move our stuff from our house to the storage location. They pointed out all the little tips on how to move and to store our stuff. We also had a little accident during our move. Benny and Abiy were quick in providing us first aid. What a caring team of people. Will definitely recommend this location to friends and families.

You charge per mileage plus gas plus base fee. Might as well ask customers to pay with beer on top of that.

Your mobile app is a disaster. Fix it or get rid of it. I could not use it to pick up nor drop off the vehicle.

Maybe make a spot check of the trucks before sending them out, mine was covered in bird poop, including the windshield. None of your Approve photos of condition showed this and i was in a hurry and approved even when there was poop everywhere. Not the vendors fault, the vendor was very understanding, no charge for the poop. Love the 4511 Shell location in Richmond CA.

U-Haul has come a long way with fresh and newer vehicles, rental equipment etc. This location on Shell Rd Richmond is my favourite, it is a stone throw distance to the freeway , fantastic staff run it.

Unsatisfactory communication when picking up the vehicle. Very difficult to understand what I was supposed to do when picking up the vehicle. I was charged $200 to retrieve the keys that I accidentally locked into he truck when doing the drop off. This to me is far in excess of what it normally costs to have a vehicle unlocked.

Let the customers to know if they want to rent a cargo van for one bedroom apartment or one bedroom studio type. I rented a cargo truck for one bedroom and when I pick up the vehicle they gave me a van for one bedroom studio type which I needed a truck for a one bedroom apartment.

The writing on the gas refilling handout needs to be bigger. It is a great idea to let customers know what the gas fill should read but t is impossible to read . Neither myself or the gas attendant could read it USE A BIGGER FONT

I would like the gas to be full , then at the end just fill to back to full. Hard to gauge how much to put in . Also trucks are pretty scratched up . That should be noted by u haul . It's hard as a customer to note every scratch before hand

Unfortunately we were overcharged for a truck rental, and a dolly that was returned We needed to stop payment The issue was never rectified We were told that our items would be auctioned off. So as far as we know all our stuff is gone and the issues was never resolved.

Hi, I was at step 5 of returning my truck and it asked me to take photo of interior cab but before I could do that, the app went back to the homepage. Now I am not able to upload photos to show the truck conditions. Not sure if that would be a problem in completing my order.

Perhaps ask what the truck is for. I rented a 10 foot today and needed a 15 foot probably instead. Nut overall excellent and top notch customer service and positive attitude especially.

There was no dolly for the truck and the store didn't have enough. There was a very hard time to get assistance as the key was inside the building and they didn't want to help

paid $16 damage insurance and also didn't receive any pre check message, insurance policy is tricky, clerk said I'm covered because I purchased the insurance, thing is I didn't know about the $150 deductible. terrible customer service and unclear insurance policy.

When empty, the trailer was not well balanced and rattled around a bit. But after loading the trailer with about 600 lbs of cargo, it was significantly better balanced with less rattle.

The guy was rude it was 7:59 as I got back here because I stopped and filled the truck to it said full!!!! And he was rude making me have more time on me when in reality I was here and he refused to help me as he was closing. Yes I get I got there 1 minute before closing but he was rude!

We rented at the Shell Road location in Richmond BC, for three years and had nothing but the greatest experience and help from the staff and management. It made the experience of having to store personal items easy and comfortable.

Love how easy it is to get one, move in and move out. The web system makes everything so easy. Great location as there is lots of space to drive in, park your car by the storage entrance. Also so convenient to have the Carta available.

I called yesterday for statement of my account to be emailed to me. On site I also asked for a closing statement，then I was given a zero statement, It kind of looks right. However if as a customer，after closing the account， an account statement can be emailed， clients like me will greatly appreciate and it is really needed.

Honestly the gentleman that helped me was so pleasant and helpful and I enjoyed my experience a lot the only thing I would say is that the storage unit itself had dirty floors there was gravel and stuff in there and I had furniture to store I was a little worried about in there

This location has a serious rodent infestation that is not being effectively addressed. The first time I entered my unit and found the floor and my personal items covered in feces, I asked the office staff what next steps were. They assured me that someone would access my unit and clean up the mess, lay traps and ensure the issue was resolved. I went back to the unit two weeks later and nothing had been done. Another time they handed my peppermint sachets telling me that they were a rodent deterrent. I put them in the unit and the next time I entered the unit the sachets has been chewed open with their contents spread across the floor. This is totally unacceptable for the amount of money these units cost per month. Additionally I had been told that the buildings were climate controlled. I did not find that to be the case at all, the units get hot in the summer and are freezing cold in the winter. An overall disappointing experience.

The service is extremely poor. I spelled out my address several times and uhaul sent me an email with the wrong spelling. Not very professional job. I reserved to pick up in surrey but when I got to the surrey location the uhaul guy said there wasn't any reservations. I had to call to the other uhaul place to get a truck. I wanted a big truck but the guy insisted me of getting the smallest truck. The U-Haul guy made the reservation for pick up in Richmond and return to Richmond. I told him I wanted to pick up in surrey and return in Richmond. The U-Haul guy keeps making mistakes. This is very unprofessional and there's no apologies whatsoever. The surrey U-Haul guy called me a few times and he told me someone made a mistake. Anyways I will never come back to uhaul after I move all the furnitures from your storage.
