I used to get email receipts after returning the cargo vans so I can see what my final charge was. But the last two times I haven't received anything. Could you please email me the receipt for the December 13th return please. Otherwise the service is always great.

we had two credit cards on file for this rental, not by choice - I booked online with mine but the driver was also required to provide their card at pick up. This was a little annoying but not a big deal, as they said the final charges would be billed to my card. We returned the truck and they automatically billed charges to the driver’s card instead of mine. They offered to email the receipt, I still haven’t received it. I wouldn’t have cared normally but I specifically asked for my card to be charged, and it was for a reason. Oh well. Everything else was fine.

not make me wait to check to see if they said i could drop it at the marine drive location. GET MORE CAR DOLLIES, so far had to drive to north van and Tsawassen to get one!! *****Also this return to the same location policy is garbage!! if i have to go crazy far out of my way to get one i shouldn't have to do the same returning it!!**** BAD BAD POLICY!! i don't care why you have it.

Third or fourth time I used this location. I always rent a motorcycle trailer. Equipment is new and well maintained. Did most of the check-in online so it was fast and easy when I got there to pick it up. Friendly and helpful staff.

Your people are all over the place in what they say, one person says one thing, other denies that. Big headaches they cause. Will never use the richmond location ever again. 10 thumbs down, get some new employees that have less attitude.

Someone, somewhere messed up my one way rental return but I don't believe it was the staff at this location nor their manager. I rented from Victoria to a particular U Haul storage facility in Richmond. My contract listed drop off location simply as Richmond. When they printed it out during drop off their copy said a different location in Richmond. They kindly offered to take care of the transfer but shouldn't have had to. The process to acquire my locker was well handled. Laurie had the patience of a saint dealing with a rentor who couldn't seem to grasp the concept of either pay by credit card with no deposit required or pay cash/debit and leave a deposit. The only surprise was that on dropping off the truck there was no interest in completing the close out walk around inspection nor checking the fuel level. All in all the service was good, my storage locker is perfect and I look forward to dealing with Lynn and her team in the future.

Staff at this location are very customer focused and definitely up for handling time-restricted customers. They do so by staying calm, being pleasant under pressure and treating people kindly and efficiently. We've dealt with this team many times over the years, both for business and personal matters and they are consistent in their approach.

I reserved a truck and an appliance dolly for the specific purpose of moving appliances. When I picked up the truck, I was told the appliance dolly was "first come, first served," which, to me, negates the whole point of making a reservation. I called Scheduling and was told there was an appliance dolly available in North Vancouver where I would be picking up the appliances. What I wasn't told was that it would have to be returned to the same North Vancouver location. Not only did I have to drive from Richmond back to North Vancouver to return the appliance dolly, but I had to do it the following day as I hadn't completed moving the appliances before the North Vancouver location was closed meaning I was charged an extra day.

When I picked up truck it was agreed that there was 150km free and return time extended to 9pm there should have been only one day charged to my credit card and only 51km charged

Person helping us out at the front desk was VERY rude. He did not allow us to rent using a cash deposit or debit card. We had called 1 day ahead of the booking and asked the person on the phone if we may bring cash for deposit and she had told us we may.

Despite explaining what has happened, the general manager disregards and insist to charge additional usage even the equipment was returned before specified time in pristine condition. Users beware of the online return system. There is no indication of unsuccessful return. U-Haul expects receiving an immediate email as confirmation, but the system will not tell you that your online return was unsuccessful and charge you extra. Even your equipment was returned way before due time with evidence, they will just disregard and tell you it is your problem and charges will remain. Will not consider their pamphlet’s unclear instructions or what was said by the employee. Equipments are good, but beware of extra charges and and be prepared to have internet available next to the vehicle to use their online return.

The Positive: Service and location was good. The Negative: The 6x12 trailer I rented must have been sourced from the "junk pile" !! Besides it looking like it had been in a roll over accident (a ton of dents, and crumpled fenders) the inside "securment rails" were pulled from the walls in spots and glued down in others. The highlight was being pulled over in the middle of the Fraser Canyon (by the police) and being informed the my signals and brake lights worked but none of the clearance and running lights worked after my sales person did the pre-trip and gave me the thumbs up that we were all good to go !! Not impressed with the equipment supplied for this trip !!!

This is my first time renting at U-Haul. I made the reservation online and I would be more satisfied if the agent at the site can provide full customer service while self-serve remains an option after business hours.

Returning the truck was very annoying as the app did not work. We spent 30 minutes trying to return it. I don't have a account with you and I don't want one. In the end, we phone the 800 number and was told to take some pictures and put the key in the mail slot. It was way easier to do it this way. I talked to the staff and will do it this way from now on as the App is annoying.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!! Was called 3 days before I needed the truck to tell me the truck I had reserved 4 weeks before hand would NOT be available. They offered a smaller truck which I accepted. I arrived to pick up the truck and was informed that they had NO such reservation on file. You can imagine my SURPRISE!! I needed to be out of my place that day because I was moving and the new people were moving in the next day. I was told that I would have to call there customer service line and speak to someone there. I was the first person there by the way to pick up the truck, but had to Waite until the place I had to call was open. Once I got through, I was told that they only had a 15 foot truck with a trailer available. I said UNACCEPTABLE!! After several calls and demanding to speak with a manager and refusing to leave a kind man came and offered to trade his 26 foot truck for the 15 foot they tried to give me. I called back to inform them of this but they put me on hold and when they returned miraculously a 20 foot truck was found for me at a DIFFERENT LOCATION. So, a hour and a half later I finally got a truck. My advice to anyone who books with U-HALL is to phone everyday to make sure
