Facility was well kept and the people were nice. But the back wall of the unit was cold and moist and there were no lights in the unit. The old elevator had heavy up-and-down "doors" that were difficult to lift, afraid I would get my hands crushed. I rented an small open utlity trailer. The internal dimensions were on the website. 3'8"' x 7'8". I called the night before to verify the exact measurements. I was told that the size was really 4' x 9' and they do not have a 4' x 7'. I would have been fine with the 4' x 7'. When I came in the morning to pick it up it looked very small and I asked it be measured. The size was really 36" wide by close to 7'. I needed the width to be at least 40" and it was advertised as 44". If I did not have them measure the inside I would have gotten to my destination and not been able to fit the furniture. This is false advertising. It should be fixed. I had to rent a different trailer and luckily they had one in.Kathleen N.

I was charged for a lost key when i did not lose the key. The key was handed to the associate when i returned the vehicle. I mentioned the back door would not lock and he proceeded to check the locks. He then started the Transit van to confirm the gas gauge was at the right level. Well despite my total satisfaction with UHaul, on one occasion back in 2019, I had a disagreement with a Manager , whom I don't know , It was a misunderstanding and I wasn't wrong. I will not concede a disagreement if I'm right. Additionally I also wasn't rude but can't say the same for a particular manager who definitely treated me disrespectfully both verbally and financially. Uhaul has always been paid by me and I'm a good customer across the board. I'm writing all of this because the same person who didn't get away with degrading me apparently wrote a note against me. Although I'm only made aware of this tonight because I requested to rent a van for 24 hrs short move. The agent said I can't rent to because of this report generated in 2019. Incidentally I have indeed rented from here without a problem or Iincident or disagreement with anyone as recently as 6 weeks ago. The only problem was was overcharged for fuel ( but I *think I forgot to bring it to their attention or did but forgot to come in as I'm so busy and my Mother just died. At any rate why would this note exist without my knowledge? I believe it's an error and hopefully can be resolved by removing the incorrect ( false) complaint. I hope I don't have to take further action but will. Again I have been renting for years and suddenly denied. As an RN I am one of the few that worked through Covid and I am very aware of the wide range of personalities and stress people under. I expect this to be resolved immediately. The inconvenience, embarrassment in front of others being denied in the store out loud! , that damage to me was beyond hurtful and inconvenient. There are so many dings and scraps outside and shocking inside also with (x) on them can't tell which one a new one or old I only had totes and cardboard boxes no new scrapes am I going to be charged for others peoples dings??? ??? I've used this location before and aways been satisfied. I was instructed to leave the keys in the vehicle and it would be checked in later. I was nervous that someone would take the truck before it was checked in, but I did receive the email stating that it was returned and checked in properly.Joanne D.

Dennis was great here at this location. But the young man at the register inside was terribly slow, confused and made repeated mistakes with multiple customers transactions. The vehicle was very dirty on the inside! With Covid still a concern the truck should be cleaned regularly. I was also charged a file fee when in fact the vehicle was picked up and returned at half a tank.What is the full charge for exactly? Please have a someone email me or call me to discuss. I have pick up pictures and video of me cleaning the dirty truck and I would like to submit. Also the credit card machine does not work and needs to be replaced that is a privacy concern.Monique S.

The Rockville Center location was clean and easy to navigate to with plenty of Uhaul trucks available. The representative who assisted us was friendly and knowledgeable. My experience is 2-fold: I stored my stuff in the Rockville Centre, NY facility and I rented a ubox to haul my belongings out of state. It took a long time to get everything coordinated (7 hours on the phone with customer service over 3 days) but I eventually got everything worked out. Of all the employees only ONE exhibited excellent customer service. The woman "Tequia" (spelling) was absolutely miserable and extremely rude every time I interacted with her. Darrell, not sure of spelling, and all the staff, really go above and beyond with courteous and professional customer service. Even the woman in front of me on the line (with her husband) were glowing over the way he handled their rental truck needs for a move to Florida. INBOUND CALL. NOT AN IN-PERSON VISIT. Purpose of call was to pay this month's Past Due Rent for Room 495 over the phone. Bill became Past Due because of a problem on your website which would not allow me to use my credit card for payment. On 11-27-21, at 1:25p ET called 1-800-GO-UHAUL. Reached "Elizabeth" at the Call Center. Explained my dilemma with your website. She processed the credit card payment for me. After completing processing she told me that she was "unable to provide a confirmation or transaction number because the payment is pending." End result, NO PAYMENT RECORDED. We were 100 % satisfied with the facility until having had an encounter with the manager at the end show and she was very punitive and and hostile . She felt challenged challenged because a product that she recommended was not received with enthusiasm and later sought to pull rank and punish us by insisting we should go up and take a photograph of the room even though it was busy and a staff member was willing and able to go inspect the vacatied room. She was utterly combative and unprofessional. Poor customer sevice. Unlike what she purported in the video which is what appealed to me when I was shopping around. Unfortunately we had too many issues with the storage facility. Between getting stuck in the elevator or waiting over 15 minutes for the elevator, we decided to take our business elsewhere. There were a few that were very helpful, and I would like to commend Mish on his help with trying to get the elevator working up to par, and quickly assisting us on getting out of the building. The move-in was fine, back in 2017 when I moved in, so I don't know why I'm getting this now, but it is typical of the complete lack of communication at the facility. For six months now I have been having major problems with my payments -- checks are lost and then posted 6 months late, checks take weeks and weeks to post, and no one knows what is going on or has any interest in finding out. I had to come personally to the facility to straighten out my account, and then ANOTHER check appeared and was posted 6 months after I sent it in. Had a great experience. Y ou solved my downsizing storage issues and were nearby. One comment, not sure if it is solvable with the current facility, the freight elevator door takes a lot of strength to pull down. Reese Baccas extended me a VIP credit for having rented space at this location for over a decade. She was very professional and personable. Although I would like to stay at this storage facility I need to find one that is cleaner and more conducive to storing my wardrobe. My clothing has mold on it and many fine pieces of clothing, especially leather clothing and shoes is ruined.
