I had to travel across the entire City to get a trailer. U Haul must have more locations with trailer availability across Philadelphia. four locations closer to my home could not provide trailers. The 9 foot cargo van I rented was in good condition and the van bed was clean overall. The only distraction was the front windshield which had some smears and smudges on it - would have been nice to been nice if it was properly windexed - but satisfied all the same.Steve G.

The night before the move, my location was moved without warning to ~40min away from the location confirmed in my initial reservation. This affected my ability to meet my hired movers on time and caused my arranged transportation to the truck to cost about 30 $more than it would have to my requested location. For this reason I would not recommend uhaul.ALAN L.

We had a very uncomfortable experience at the Uhaul of Roxborough in Ridge Ave. PA. Desk rep Rita Ann Dayton was very unprofessional and rude. I should underscore that I am mentioning her name because she defiantly circled it the receipt and said something along the way of â€œhere is my name for when submitting a complaint.â€ At one point, she threatened my fiancÃ©e and me, telling me to â€œdrop itâ€ and that his son was coming. This was very concerning due to her apparent willingness to involve family members in escalating situations. At one point, she lowered her face mask to speak loudly, which put everyone at risk, and showed little disregard to current health and safety guidelines for the COVID pandemic. Overall, it was a very uncomfortable experience for me, my fiancÃ©e, and everyone at the store. I will never visit that store again.YEXENIA N.

I had a horrible experience at this location. First my truck was not available after I had put in the reservation a week ago and was not informed of an issue until arrival. During this time the manager was telling several customers how she was going to get her son to slap around people who were getting upset their equipment, I felt very uncomfortable. We were then told we could come back and get our truck at 5. Upon arrival the same manager was sitting at the counter without a mask picking the peppers out of a cheese steak. After waiting 5 min for her to complete this we finally got our truck without the ud we had rented and was informed there was no more. Horrible place horribleShawn K.
I did not get a final receipt of charges. The staff told me they would check the truck later and send it. They have not. However the charge has appeared on my card. It's inconvenient to have to go back to the site to handle this. Please improve this part of the process.MONIQUE M.

I thought I reserved my truck pickup for the Glenside PA location. When I showed up they sent me to Roxborough. This delayed my move by 2 hours.MORGAN P.

I can no believe what I was put through. I reserved a 15 foot box. Get a call 15 minutes before I am suppose to pick up my rental telling me that there was no truck available. You were only offering me a 10 ft box. Which is completely insane for someone moving a 2 bedroom apartment. I had to wait over an hour for another truck. Had to pay my movers over the time since you put me back in time. The only thing I was grateful for was Rita and Quincy they really tried to do everything in their power to get me what I reserved. This is not the FIRST time this has happened. It happened the last time I used this company. Mark my words I will NEVER use Uhaul ever again. This is terrible business that you have were you rely on others to drop off trucks and those are the trucks other people are suppose to have reserved. Never rely on your customers to bring back things when then say because then this is what happens. For what I had to go through I shouldn't have even been charge. The amount of money I had to spent because you guys wasted my time is insane. I'm completely distraught over this happening to me TWICE. I should have known. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Equipment chosen was not available although it was guaranteed when making the reservation. Poor customer service and looooong wait time at check in. Waited 30 minutes to check out and location employee walked in with a bagel and coffee claiming she was away for only 10 minutes. Lie. On 6/1/2021 Quincy had called me and stated that the storage unit I rented, the door was damaged. I agreed to a replacement with one month free. He also told me I didn't need to have a lock and bring that back foe a replacement. On 6/2/2021, I arrived. Mike was at the desk. I walked in with 2 other customers. He needed propane and the 3rd needed boxes. Mike was flustered , and rude to me because of being stressed. Even though I was before them, and as I told him of the conversation with Quincy he said "he told me none of this and I have to take these other customers because it will take a half hour to go through everything with you". I was placed aside so he could waif on other customers. When I finally did get to the desk. Mike was huffing and puffing about having to do this rental. I told him Quincy mentioned on the phone about the one month free and he said " he never told me". He then acted us if I was stupid to bring back the lock I purchased . I said Quincy said to bring it back because I didn't need one, I don't know - I never did this before. Mike was rude and talked down to me. He could not handle the stress of more than one customer.
