they had two 6 x 12 trailers that I saw. one looked new and the other old. They gave me the old one. I counted 41 little tags on it from dents and things. It was well worn and rusty on the outside but clean on the inside. It pulled like a charm. I had no problems with this old trailer. It made the trip easy and less of a worry.. Alex helped me hook up and he was very patient when after hooking up the first time I measured the height in front and back and wanted to change the hitch height so that it would be perfectly level when towed.mark R.

I struggled with my overall experience with uhaul on this visit. My reservation was changed from 5400 s state street to 3900 s state street which accumulated more miles that I had to travel and costing me more money. When I arrived the location setting wasn't working on uhaul and I switched the uhaul app that made it so I can pick up the truck. It gave me the key code to get the key and it was really hard to open the lock. After 40 minutes I was finally able to leave. When I returned the app didn't work and this time the online website worked for me but took me another 40 minutes to get everything checked in. Everything just went wrong with this visit.John F.

After the rental, I had to call to get a partial refund because the person checking in the equipment charged me for gas even though the picture he uploaded matched what was supposed to be in there. I got a refund quickly, but it was slightly annoying.Ronald D.
They did not have the vehicle that I had reserved which kind of defeats the purpose of reserving in advance. A substitute vehicle was provided but driving the substitute was much more difficult than driving the reserved vehicle would have been and it also used more fuel.Jean F.

The one way truck was clean inside with the exception of the windshield. The windshield was dirty inside and the outside was loaded with bugs.Dan E.
In the beginning it was excellent but as time went by I attempted several times to get a hold of the site manager, Steve Bendixson, by phone (almost every time it went to a customer service person not on site despite the phone number being supposedly to the store and that c.s. person said they would email Steve but I never got a reply, by email (only responses came during the last few months but generally meant my still having to go to the store --I had asked that he phone me as I use a wheelchair and now live quite a bit away and have to use public transportation). When I moved 1/2 of my belongings to a smaller unit I wasn't told I no longer had 24 hrs access so ended up making a trip to move the last of belongings out for nothing with volunteers. So score at beginning of lease until July of 2020 would have been a 5/5 stars then it slowly dropped and by the last month it was down to 1/5 but after a call to corporate office with the complaint Steve emailed me (again I had to go down because of his not calling which wasted almost 45 minutes of my time as this could have been done in the phone call) I would say it was at a 1,5 star. I am also at a loss as to why my unit had a padlock on it for supposedly lack of payment but my bill was current (luckily I had checked my unit during one of those having to come in person trips just before I took the last out and went and got Steve to look as he didn't believe me telling him of the presence of the special lock and posted notice). Your phone system needs updating to include a way to speak with the store directly and if someone has questions about the storage unit.jessica e. | Expérience générale
I originally rented a trailer from a different location and they did not have the trailer when we arrived to get it, so we had to go across town to pick up a different one. We also had to have this trailer back earlier than my original reservation and it was further away from where we needed to be. Very disappointed and there was also no discount given.Brian L.

The app was super glitchy, it did not allow me to upload pictures of myself for identification verification, took forever to approve or authorize the rental on pickup, and at drop off I couldn't upload the picture of fuel level/mileage. Thankful for the front lady and very upset with my previous experience at the Sandy location since they overbooked the trucks and I waited over 2 hours just so they can send me over to this location. Inside of the trailer had oil and grime on the floor. Ruined cosmetic of a few items during transit. Trailer hookup seemed unsafe. Chains were twisted and bunched together at the hitch, instead of run flat through the hitch. Not sure if this is a new method, but seemed unsafe if relying on the chains to maintain the trailer connection. Long wait time for check in. Multiple counter staff were present, but preoccupied with other items during process.Michael F.

The equipment and UHaul were great but it was A1 Moving Specialists that I have an issue with. I worked for a moving company for 8 years and know what it takes to make a smooth, professional move. We had all items packed and labeled according to what was in the box and specially labeled fragile where necessary. We had several glasses and heirloom China plates that were shattered that were in dish boxes, individually wrapped and in the own cell. We also had three different sizes of shrink wrap, two dozen moving pads and a couch cover. All of this was available for their use to protect the couch and chairs during the move and used the couch cover only when in the truck, never using it when moving it thus resulting in dirty hand marks all over. There was an inch square chunk broken off the inside arm from one of our chairs that had to have a heavy object fall on it, all of these damages could have been prevented if they would have been more professional. At my initial contact with David Rosier I did discuss insurance and the procedure for any damage, and he assured me that they never had any damage and were very careful and if there were any damage, he would take care of it. This was not even close to being true, he was combative had every excuse in the book that it was my fault. But what made me aware that he wasn't going to address any of my concerns to my satisfaction was when I brought up that I had paid for 3 men for 4 hours but actually had 2 men for 4 hours and should have a refund for the third man, what I got from him was they had to work harder and longer because of the missing third man and there would not be a refund. I would highly NOT recommend this company if you value your possessions.JOHN C.

Moved from Massachusetts to Utah and every aspect of U-Box was first class. Staff were great on the phone and in person, container itself was great. For the space like a "less than a small closet size" the cost is too high and should remain I feel around 70 $-75. The only thing I was displeased with was that we had reserved our truck a month or more in advance from a location near our home and it ended up not being available and we had to drive an hour away for a truck a day later. I cannot say enough good things about Steve and his staff. The young lady who seems to be in charge when Steve isnt there is amazing as well. We had some tough times because of Covid like thousands of other people. They were so kind and helpful and so willing to work w us on anything we needed. I work in the service industry and these two people made uhaul look like the best company for moving hands down. They both deserve recognition and raises.
