During our current pandemic situation it was unsettling that we were given a vehicle that had sunflower seed shells all over the cab of the truck and dirty drink holders. I would expect things to be cleaned between rentals. Thankfully the young man promptly cleaned and sanitized the cab as soon as we pointed it out.

On October 9th I booked an appointment to have my hitch installed on my vehicle for October 12th. My payment went through and I received confirmation via email, Reservation #23910160. I arrived at my scheduled time and was told the employee that does the hitch installation wasn't there, and that the onus was on me to call and make sure someone was available. I checked over my order as well as the website and did not see that anywhere. I confronted the store manager with this and he then told me it was head office's mistake for not calling me and warning me and not theirs. This is completely unacceptable. I booked this appointment 3 days in advance and nobody felt the need to call me and tell me there was no employee to install the equipment I paid for, which included labor costs. Not only was it inconvenient to be told they wouldn't install it, but I don't live in Saskatoon and ended up driving FOUR hours, with two vehicles, for no reason.

Vehicle was so dirty on inside and outside. There were receipts, bandaids, string and rope, a pen and even a travel mug from the last drivers. In addition; the dealership noted the gas to be 7/8 full inaccurately. Luckily it was caught before I was responsible for approx 15 $in extra gas. The local customer service reps told me that I would get compensation for the dirty van and then told me they had no authority to compensate me

I had many issues with the trucks at this location. I had to go through two trucks almost 3. The attendant that helped me was also very unhelpful and pushy. He was rushing me out the door, didn't show me how to use anything on the truck and didn't even show me where the truck was. I had to try 4 different truck doors before I found the right one. They also had no dollies in stock even though I had reserved one a month prior. So I had to go to another location to pick one up. Once I got the dolly, the attendant at the other location noticed the back door had a cable that was broken and it wouldn't close properly. So I had to drive all the way back and get a new truck. The second truck seemed ok until I filled it up with gas. The gauge was working but the tank itself made the pump think it was full. The pump would stop every few seconds so it took a very long time to fill. I decided not to get another truck and deal with it seeing as it was already 4 hours after I had picked up the original truck, and still hadn't moved anything into the actual truck. It was a big waste of a morning. If the maintenance on the trucks was priority this would not be an issue. And good customer service would have made this experience more tolerable.

I wanted an out of town rental and he put and in town rental and the guy threatened to report stolen after I told him I wanted to return to regina, then he told me I had to.pay an extra 200 and change to get trailer back to saskatoon. He needed a lot of help to complete contract and the guy that was helping him was more occupied with his phone.not happy...

Not happy about a mileage fee -15 $ for going over the alloted kms but a few, especially when I returned the truck with 1/4 tank more (approximately 75 $) than i got it with. Waiving the mileage fee in lieu of the extra gas would have been a nice touch.

Bit more clarification on before opening hours drop offs would be preferred. I had a trailer and managed to find the lifting tool to release the trailer from my hitch. The attendant at pick up stated someone would be there for my 730am drop off but no one was around. Had there been no lifting tool I'd be late for dropping off and I'm sure there would have been late charges. And calling was not condusive and not till after I dropped off did I find the drop off option online. Otherwise it was.fine, I'll be back again.

The clerk made it seem as though it was a big deal that my reservation needed to be updated (vehicle, driver) upon arrival - which I hardly believe would be a difficult task. The clerk was wearing an obviously soiled medical mask with a brown line of dirt across the nose. Your organization should be providing staff with disposable masks that can be changed throughout the day. It was off putting and I was concerned for the clerks health and hygiene.

When I booked online, I reserved the truck for 5 days, but the contract showed only a 3 day rental. Staff was very helpful to correct the mistake when I later called to inform them.

The truck we rented had filthy will does on the inside. I am not sure what dirty rag had been used, but it took me three application of will dow cleaner to be able to see properly. The truck was leaking oil onto the exhaust which produced a strong smell.in the cab as well as staining the driveway at both our old and new locations. Within about 10 kms of leaving with the truck fully loaded, the CHECK ENGINE light came on and stayed on for the duration of the trip. I did check the oil levels and anti-freeze reservoir and decided to proc eed. Considering there were several.other trucks on the lot at the time, I was a little disappointed that this truck would be dispatched without proper maintenance. The truck worked well and the staff were very efficient and friendly. When I returned the truck and advised them of the problems, I believe they took the unit out of service for maintenance.

I am utterly furious! My credit card was charged, and on top of that I paid for my rental! And not only that effing waiting for 2 +hours just to resolve this bullshit. What kind of rental company are you running!

I was told I could not take out the vehicle without a credit card because a PIN verification was required. I told them my credit card did not have a PIN but I could use a debit card, I was then told that only credit card could be used. I have rented 2 other pieces of equipment this month with a debit card without issue. I left my credit card at home so had to go get it, I called and asked if I could give my card over the phone and then was told no it has to be in person so a PIN can be entered. When I arrived my credit card was having problems and would not go through, I brought a second card since I knew this one was having problems. Just to test I ran my debit card to see if it would work as it had on my previous rentals. The debit card worked no problem and I was not required to enter a PIN. In the end there was over an hour delay for no reason.

The saskatoon location off of Millar was great. By far the best customer service I have experienced at uhaul. However, the fact that in a major city like Calgary I had to drive 1hr south to simply drop off the trailer with zero other options. I understand the need to stock inventory but it shouldn't be at the customers expense.

We went from The uhaul to bonli crescent to pick up a dining set back to uhaul for our trailer then to Warman to load our house and to waldheim to unload, and back to saskatoon. This shitty company is trying to tell us that we drove 600km. Since we picked up the truck at 7:25, picked the trailer up shortly after 9 and brought it back at 6pm we would have had to pretty much been driving continuously in order to have put on 600km. We were told we'd be contacted by the genera manager to discuss, but now I get a surprise email saying they've charged us over 400 ON TOP of what we paid at pick up. This company is bullshit and we will be going to the bbb.

Upon returning the unit. U-Hual does not accept Interac as payment. What business doesn't accept Interac go figure. Will NEVER rent from U-Hual again. And, will tell my colleagues family members to avoid U-Hual at all costs. U-Hual is U-Hell.

The Unit i had was in very rough shape. Lots of dents and dings which were all marked thankfully. However in the future I will be requesting a unit that is in much better shape body wise and one that is at least washed as the unit I had looked like it had not been scrubbed down in weeks.

With COVID rampant and the quick turnaround of your vehicles, you should clean all knobs, steering wheel, latches. etc. Mine was horribly dirty on pick up. If it wasn't for the nice chap that helped me, I was going to go back for a refund and cancel the rental. I might look at alternate means if I ever move or need your services again.

The computer system wasn't working and had to enter all the information in twice. The first trailer I was hooked up to was in for service and had to be unhooked and new paperwork sorted out. Then hooked up to another trailer. It seemed to be a comedy of errors as it took 40+ min to pick up AND drop off a rented trailer. I'll be looking at other rental venues next time this service is needed.

This whole process took over an hour. We were unable to unlock the lock to get access to the key. Was on the feedback part on the app trying to finish the pick up truck part. The person was not right there to answer or help me. My sister and my husband were on the phone trying to call the Uhaul main number. Finally someone answered the phone and help us with the directions for the lock and even she couldn't understand why the lock didn't work. Then she was able to tell me that another location was open and had a cancellation. We could pick up a truck there. The lady on the phone was very good and helpful. I was soo frustrated throughout the whole process. The app didn't work properly, it wouldn't take the information needed to finish the pick up. There was no access to the owner to call them to help out. The lady on the phone did not have the owner's contact information only the business line. Not a very good experience that cost me more money as the movers were waiting for us to show up with the truck.

The vehicle still had some garbage from the previous user in the doors. There was cigarette ashes all over the dash and a strong smoke smell in the vehicle. The staff at the pick up location were excellent and helpful. Not there fault for the smoke.

My pick up time,drop off time and location was changed after I booked, for lack of inventory apparently. Then on pick up day I got sent to a different location. Almost 300 dollars for 3 days with a rate of "59,95" a day. Won't ever return.

Returned my uhaul in clean shape was told by a agent that my mileage would be covered due to inconvenience of uhaul truck not in my area had to drive 1hour away to get my uhaul then when return it find out I am being charge an excess 169. $ when i already paid 322,76 How is that fair I will never use uhaul again and i wonr recommend

I didn't actually get to store anything with uhaul TVs unit was not big enough for my items. The particular staff member I delt with john Macdonald I believe his name is I would like to give 10 stars to....he is exceptionally helpful and patient. Very knowledgable and genuinely the reason I keep coming back to this uhaul facility. Staff like him should be mandatory....Thanks John and uhaul for all the help with my many moves!!

It was terrible!! First the guy at the front finalized everything with my ID and got a lock and gave me to access keys can you show me where to go so I had to walk all the way around the building finally came back ask him to show me told him that I’ve never been here so I need some help then I get into the access to look for 1066 there was no 1066 so then I go back into the office he says that he’s too busy with customers to show me where my locker is so I said fine get me out of it I didn’t want to do it and so I cancelled everything and I will never use U-Haul for storage

Storage units were way smaller than let on in the ad, access was absolutely awful, and the staff was slow, unmotivated, and unhelpful... had find another storage unit, and just bought an enclosed trailer right after so I never have to deal with these clowns at Uhaul ever again

Despite checking in online and setting up an alternate account access for my son, they had trouble finding the account and said I had to be there as he was not registered. In the end they phoned to confirm with me but the process was lengthy and frustrating given we followed their directions. Did not know the storage was not accessed from outside. An apartment's worth of items had to be moved down two long hallways - they did provide a dolly. Also the size I ordered on the phone was not big enough despite explaining contents so had to upgrade to a bigger size at a higher price.

It would be nice to have access after 7pm with my access card, as i drive from prince albert to drop things off and sometimes can't make it there by 7pm.. So that's the only con of this wonderful facility, very nice staff.

Was having some troubles with one of the last bookings but the lady at the Millar site I'm very sorry I forgot her name , she was very helpful so patient she saw I was having trouble getting through to the main office and she took over with her phone for a Sunday afternoon close to closing she helped us out ..salamat we really appreciate the help will be back and will refer others

i reserved a 10*14 unit about a month ahead and called few times later to confirm it as I was bringing stuff from a small town 2 hours away and didn't want any disappointment. each time I called staff confirmed my reservation. even on the date of move I called the facility and the lady on staff confirmed the reservation and didn't mention anything about it being not available. few hours later when i reached the facility they said unit was not available, I had to cram my stuff into a smaller unit of 10*10 and ultimately had to buy another unit 10*5 additionally paying 80$. Also staff didn't' offer any insurance despite asking multiple times. now some of my cushions are permanently damaged and I request U-HAUL to pay my damages and reduce the the rental fee. During the whole process staff didn't' offer any apology but was confrontational.
