There is one particular employee who appeared to be running everything and at the same time making the other employees uncomfortable and unhelpful. There definitely needs to be some customer service training for this employee as well as some of the others. In addition, the computer systems need an overhaul and major upgrades to help with making the check-in/out and reservations processes more efficient and customer-friendly. Apple Pay/Google Pay options are greatly needed!Stuart B.
I had an ongoing situation with a contract charge. The manager at this location Mrs. Erica Young went above and beyond to help resolve this matter, staying on the phone, and on hold with her own company office for hours until she reached someone to straighten this matter out for me. The check in guy had a serious attitude. They took my key and said I was good to go. I had just put enough gas in to be between 1/4 and 1/2 tank (it was 1/4 when I got it). Later I get a receipt where they charged me $56 for gas saying I brought it back with 1/8 a tank. I was furious! when I called UHaul it was a 40+ minute wait so I hung up. Was a long time customer. The rental contract, the card used, the time dates of the recorded rental, and every other aspect of this bill are fraudulent. We were treated poorly in every way. I suffered a violent assault and robbery due to and because I was in the u-haul and the insensitive reaction and equipment damage charges after â€œpayingâ€ for 370 dollars worth of optional insurance all beyond corporate responsibility.Jeri G.

Additional personnel to alleviate long wait in line. There is only one person who knows how to handle customer service and at the same, manages this location. He is also busy assisting the other personnel in processing customer's information while helping his own customer. Good morning, I picked up a vehicle yesterday 08/21. Experience was the worst I have ever had there. We always user U-Haul for our moves, I approached the building at 4:52pm, door was already locked, one of you're associates who parks the trucks told me to manually open the door, so I did. When I entered the building and approached the desk the employee that was going to assist me already had a terrible look on his face like he was mad I was coming in at 4:52, I advised him I was there to pick up my vehicle and he said "let me check with my manager to see if I can still give you the vehicle since we are about to close". I explained traffic on HWY 17 had held me up causing me to be late. Immediate attitude AGAIN. I told him "if you have an issue with assisting me "this late" have someone else come and help me. Employee starts raising his voice at me saying 'if you're having a bad day or if you're in a rush this and that " just a nasty terrible attitude. I requested a dolly from him and he said "they are outside you can grab it there". dolly was no where to be found, I left without it and was still charged for it. I work in customer service and I can tell you this is NOT the way to treat a customer. This will be the last time we use UHaul, this was a TERRIBLE experience. Sad to see people working there and treating people like this. -0 stars.Delsi D.

When it comes to moving pads, it is important that the web site and dispensing locations be in accord. When I ordered pads on the website it stated that a bag contained 10 or 12 pads. I ordered 2 bags, which ultimately only ended up containing 12 pads. Thus, I was on the hook for 12 missing pads when I arrived to the destination.Brian M.

They broke the lock on my storage unit and put a new lock on my unit and removed my name out of the system and told me you have no record on me having a united. I hired a man with a truck to move some of my furniture that I sold to a friend, because we could not get into the storage unit after about of trying to get into the unit, I went into the office to see what the problem was and being told that I was not into the system, this took another hour, after not getting any satisfaction I called the 1800 number they in return called the manager at the site this took another thirty or forty minutes. I had to pay the man I hired for the time plus for the truck and he didn't even render any service. In the end I had to rent one of your truck to take the lady's furniture because she had already paid me for the furniture. It cost me 250 that day to get the lady's furniture to her house. We had to go home and get a bill to prove that we had a unit. But yet you sent a bill.MARY G.

The rear door latching mechanism was rusted thru, so the cargo door would not stay down. The fuel reported was way off. A warning light came on after I left the site. When I called to report it, the female on duty at 4pm on August 16 was very rude, refused to report the problem, refused to get her supervisor, said that was too bad and hung up on me. I sent an email complaint to U-Haul about the employee, but nobody from U-Haul has responded to date.John S.

The vehicle I rented had a very rough ride. Especially the front end. Felt like tie rods were damaged. Vehicle had a broken visor that fell down frequently. TPMS sensor was defective. Customer service leaves something to be desired. The staff was too busy gossiping to even be bothered to look me in the eye. A 10 minute process turned into 30 minutes because the two staff members could not stop talking to each other. The man helping us told us to wait for him to come back with a lock. At about 5 minutes past close, we realized he had forgotten us and had likely left for the day. The staff ignored us when we tried to get their attention about the issue. I had a reservation for a 10x15 with drive up access and after waiting 40 minutes in line I was told the best they could do was a 10x10 on the 2nd floor. When I have a reservation, I expect you to have what I reserved. You shouldn't have confirmed my reservation if you couldn't deliver what was promised. My storage unit was wet therefore my furniture, clothing, papers , I lost my most valuable memories and items from mold. Rodents where in there also. I'm allergic to mold. I've used uhaul for year's off and on this was my first bad experience and some of the staff aren't customer service friendly some off my items was taking out of a storage i lost some thing's that held sentimental value the guy Jeremy isnt to pleasant he got mad cause i wouldn't move my car one time i was up there cause i was trying to figure out where my items were and every time since than when i come in there he wouldn't help me one time he said something smart this last time he wasnt doing nothing and he wouldn't help me he told the other young man to do it when he wasn't busy I think the young man name was jamel he was very respectful and helpful shay was friendly and helpful as well but the one stand out the most is Anthony Howard he took time to really find out what happened and spoke to me with concern him overall is my mvp Sherrie was ok she tried but i still say Mr Howard held my ordeal the bestGale A. | Expérience générale

My only issue was that a freeloader kept stuff (or maybe it was just Uhaul stuff) stored in the bay next to mine. That is not a rentable bay according to the maps and I rented the specific bay I did because there was not supposed to be any stuff next to it.KENNETH W. | Expérience générale

It was impossible to close out my units using the online system. I got auto responses that it was being handled but yet nothing happened. I often could not get through to the local office and corporate office didn't have control over what needed to be done. I was billed late fees both times and it took me several hours to handle closing my accounts. Regarding the staff: Da'rian (he works with the trucks) and his trainee, helped us from the moment we walked in, and they were courteous and very willing to work us. They were way more helpful than the clerks whose job is was to handle storage facilities. The two clerks, a young lady and man, were slow and disconnected from us. At one point, I had no idea the young man was speaking to me because he and the young lady were laughing and joking like there was some kind of inside joke we weren't privy to. It was uncomfortable for me as a patron. Finally, he asked me directly to give him a code. I had no idea he wanted this from me because he was just saying "four digit number" without directly addressing me. The two clerks weren't outright rude, but their demeanor and the looks they gave each other made it seem like we were the focus of a joke. Again, it was really uncomfortable for my husband and me and not how customers should be made to feel after spending nearly $200 in their facility. Additionally, when they learned that I had rented a 5x5x7 locker, they immediately tried to upsell me on a larger locker, which is fine, I wanted the next size up, but there were none available. And the only storage locker, besides the one we were renting, was way too big for what we needed. When we asked to see our locker, we're were told again it was small, like a linen closet or a pantry. Again, I realize upselling is a part of the sales process, but they had nothing else to offer me that was suitable for my needs. I asked if there was a waiting list for the larger size, and instead of speaking to me, she told Da'rian, "I don't think they do that." Now, after all the upselling the young lady was trying to do, she wouldn't ask if there was a waiting list for a larger locker. Again, she didn't directly engage me-the customer-and at that point we had been there about 45 minutes, so I didn't have anymore time to waste hunting down that answer. Also, we had purchased 10 boxes, but no one came out to the floor to assist us. My husband had to cut the plastic straps himself, and we literally could've taken as many boxes as we wanted since nobody was paying attention to us or assisting us with this part of our purchase. We just took our 10 boxes and left-we addressed them by thanking them and saying goodbye, but we didn't receive any salutation from the staff.Matthew T. | Premières impressions

I had a reservation for my storage unit as well as drop off location for the truck rental, I called to confirm my order by calling gouhaul.com and was setup with a 1 bedroom unit when I clearly requested a unit for a 2 bedroom home with living room furniture and appliances , I was also told that I couldn't use the location as my drop off location, only for my storage unit.when the location is in fact a drop off spot. It was like an oven coming up to grab anything. I understand I didn't pay for temperature control but it was like walking into an oven and was extremely uncomfortable. I feel like there could have been some air circulation without paying extra money considering the storage unit itself was close to a hundred dollars a month. Staff was very courteous and helpful. I initially rented an outside storage slot for my RV and while there I saw a different unit that was available and was better suited to my needs and requested a change and they were very helpful in makikng that change for me. The facility is well lit but not secured. Some staff very friendly like Christopher and the lady who process our rental truck and another who unfortunately I didn't get to get her name. But your manager was very rude and didn't even know your location address when I called to have someone to come to the unit and inspect. The employees want to do a good job. But, I rented a space that I never was able to use because their was another vehicle parked in that space. I always had to park in a space other than the one I rented. The code to raise the gate seldom worked. Infact most of the time the gate was just left open during business hours because it didn't work. When I went inside to get help there was always a long wait to get any help so I usually just gave up and left. You have a nice facility. You have good employees that want to do a good job. Fix what's broken, the gate and staff your facility so that customer will spend money instead of walking out.William B. | Expérience générale
