I turned vehicle back in early and I was charged over mileage which I don't understand cause I gave the place my address and did not drive extra I tried to call the man where I picked it up at and he front desk said she's call me back which she did not so I called back and finally talked to the manager and asked him why he charged me over mileage cause I gave him the address where I was moving to when I picked it up from him and he was rude to me didn't wanna help me and was screaming at me and told me to call corporate office and hung up, he is a true prick and does not need to be around the public I will NEVER to business with UHAUL again

We only had half the pads given to us but had enough. I used some old coffee bags my friend who has a roastery was going to throw out! I wish there was a way we could have donated our used moving boxes to the next person. Would be a great way to "rent" boxes and be more environmentally friendly, just like the furniture pads are. Thoughts?

Truck was not gassed as contract indicated. Worse yet there were 80 more miles on the odometer than what the contract indicated. This error was brought to the Representative's attention. He said he would take care of it and I was told what my final balance was. Later that day I received an invoice for the additional mileage and for 3 gallons of gas that should not have been charged since I returned the truck with more gas than when delivered to me. I wrote an email explaining the situation (again) . TheN I had to spend almost an hour on the phone with U-Haul representatives to correct their error. There was no accommodation for the time or energy I had to spend to correct U-Haul's error not once but twice. U-Haul thought they had done enough by correcting the overcharge! Clearly if I had not taken pictures to support my position I would have been stiluck with paying the overcharge. Terrible QC

I requested a dolly when I booked online was not provided a dolly didn't realize until we got home and opened the truck called the location no one answered got put on hold with uhaul support requested a call back took forever talked to guy on phone told him I didn't get a dolly he said he would take it off the invoice and wouldn't be charged I was still billed for the dolly I would like a refund for the dolly I was not provided other than that, everything great, thank you

The staff did a great job working to provide a vehicle and materials to move. Not on them, but the way the reservations are done could be improved so that customers only sign up/reserve moving materials that are truly in stock/available so that you receive what you reserved to use.

Truck was scratched up and damaged, then when I went to drop off the rig, they charged Me $99 for a quarter of tank of gas along with $100 to damage fees even after I taken pics of all the damage the min I picked up the ride. Called customer service just to be lied too that sombody will call me back for a refund or somthing and never got a call back.

Please inform your customer if you change the pickup location!!!!!!!!!! I booked my reservation with a different pickup location, went there to pickup my U-haul, and then found out my pickup location was changed without my knowledge.

It was an absolute mess, I spoke with the manager the week that the box got there and told him that I would be there on the 14th, he was on vacation (and good for him) and the regional manager was to be there and place my box on a trailer so that I could move in to my new apartment. Surprise, it wasn't done, so I wasted my time, the sales person's time and my fiancé's time trying to get our items after traveling 900 miles. That was an absolute amazing experience, I wish it were at least. So since the regional manager didn't care to come in to do what he said that he was going to do that Friday, we then had to go in the following Friday, which luckily I do no work on Fridays to get the U-Box. It was also a nightmare, we were able to talk to the manager, which then had to talk to the regional manager to figure out what was going on, I don't blame him, I hope he had a great vacation. They then said that it was dispatched and that there was no reservation for us to pick it up, the redundancy is tiring at this point. The manager then apologized and then said that we could pick it up. We then had to watch the Mickey Mouse show of the regional manager run a forklift in order to get our box out of the building, and onto a trailer, I'm a little surprised, and impressed, that the tires didn't blow out from the weight of the forklift on the trailer. We then had to wait in order to have them tie it down and get some air in the tire. It took us 3 times as long to get the box on the trailer and then the trailer ready for us, than it did to drive to our new empty apartment and unload the items a week late. With only a "sorry for the confusion" from the regional manager, as well as a "that was quick". The apologies are warranted but my time was wasted, the time of the woman helping me was wasted and living in an empty apartment for a week due to incompetence of the regional manager to just put a box on a trailer as he said he would. It just seems wasteful, and stupid. I know y'all are one of the cheaper options in town to move cross country, and I guess you get what you pay for. I am unimpressed, this is the second move that I have completed with UHaul and it is almost as bad as my last experience, at least all the items arrived in one piece and there wasn't a fork lift that went through the side of the box.

We made the reservation at black mountain location. Our reservation was moved to sweeten Creek without any discussion with us first as your website said there would be. So we ended up paying a lot more mileage.

The air-conditioning in the truck went out about two hours into the trip. And then continued off and on throughout the trip… Sometimes it would cool sometimes it would not. It made the trip miserable driving 17 hours in Texas at 96° outside.

Normally this location is pretty good, but this time I returned the truck early and then I was charged for turning it in late. Very frustrating for a customer having to spend time calling and getting it corrected.

I have used Uhaul's Ubox 3 times before and have loved the service, sadly my latest experience was absolutely terrible and Uhaul should be ashamed of their business practices. On the day my Ubox was to be delivered I received no phone call notifying me that my delivery would be delayed. It took hours upon hour sof me calling in hopes to figure out what was going on. The next day I was hoping to finally reach someone and still no one could provide any answers. It took me physically going to a Uhaul store to understand what had happened. I was then left with the only option to move the Ubox myself (instead of having it delivered and picked up like originally planned). So I was charged for delivery and pick up, yet I had to move and the Ubox myself after purchasing a toe hitch and making a lot of arrangements. The part that is the most upsetting is that I had to put in more than 4 hours of work just to figure out what was going on. No one from Uhaul called to notify me of what was happening. Despite many positive experiences I will strongly consider other option because this move was made more stressful due to the lack of communication and information.

I made a reservation for a drive-up unit when I got there they didn't tell me there were no Drive-Up in it they set me up with a unit that was climate-controlled and it was costing me $50 more a month than the drive-up unit that I had reserved that was not available even when I reserved it very disappointing had to go to a different storage facility

I enjoyed their service, until Covid hit and I lost my job. I asked them if I could pay on it in smaller amounts until I got back on my feet, they told me no it had to be the whole amount or I couldn't pay anything. So it kept adding up. The unit was fine. It was close to our house, which made it convenient. My only complaint was that the person behind the desk was often out on the premises somewhere. We had to go find them to ask questions or buying tape, things like that.

I could not access the building to move in at 7PM. I called the manager and got a voicemail. Then I texted the number but she responded that she was on leave. I then had to ask her for the backup contact, she did not initially supply the information. Thankfully Steve was immensely helpful and figured out that our access was for "store hours only." Once he fixed this we could enter the building but the sliding doors were locked. We had to move mattresses and a couch through the man door. Overall it was very inconvenient but would have been much worse without Steve!

2 staff workers called the police on my wife for voicing her opinion about the service and conflicting employee understanding of a policy as we were told. The two employees were very disrespectful and started taping us with their phones and refused to finish offering service. At that time we were told we were trespassing pointed towards my wife. Though we have rented units, trucks and bought packing equipment from u-haul, we will never use u-haul for anything again. We waited for the police to arrive (while being told we were trespassing as we waited by the two staff members). We appreciate the Asheville Police Officers service and seeing the silliness of the incident. With increased crime in this area such an inappropriate use of the Officers service. Will post this on other media forums.

The staff is great, facility looks clean. My biggest grip is that I rented a drive up storage unit; however they have so many trailers in the yard that it is impossible to drive up to my unit. Makes it very difficult to move in an appliance with an 18" step.

Everything was excellent. The only part I don't like is that U-haul does not prorate the bill. I no longer needed my unit, as I rented a larger unit elsewhere and combined my things. I had three weeks left before my next bill was due, and now someone else can rent it free for thirty days. U-haul's 30-day rent-free policy is misleading in some cases like mine. I already paid full rent and 3/4 was remaining. I should be refunded ~ $96,75 and U-haul should let the new customer rent for 30 days free, as per the policy and not on my dime.

The onsite staff were easy to work with and the facility is excellent. The online website is not user friendly. The responses were not consistent. I did not get confirmation of my selection and had to call to confirm that my truck was ready and the storage space was available.

The lady who worked there was VERY RUDE! Made us wait almost half an hour while she talked on the phone and smoked a cigarette outside. Then locked the sliding doors so we had to go all the way around to get to our unit because they were "about to close in 10 minutes". Smh

I had an issue checking into my storage unit and dropping off my truck rental. The internet was down but I recognize that is beyond anyone's control. I also was given a unit that was already occupied. It took too long..,about an hour just to get started unpacking the truck into my storage unit. The guy at the front counter seemed disinterested and would rather be anywhere but working. Not the best customer service although the woman working seemed genuinely trying to help

We did cross country move and first moving place we had selected did not tell the truth about 18 wheeler huge atlas van lines fitting on property. They drove by your place on sweeten....it was a great alternative. Probably better and safer then the original choice. You were able to get us in immediately and now when we make final move can rent truck and other needed tools to do so. Can't thank this location and staff enough.

Store understaffed. Long wait. Trucks did not have gas which is understandable due to the gas shortage but it was a inconvenience that we had to find gas. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I changed my return reservation to this location due to the friendliness of the staff and how the facility appeared while researching online compared to other facilities. When dealing with staff at my pick up location, it was a horrible experience and if I hadn't needed to use their service, I would have walked out and I have rented from uhual SEVERAL times in the past. The truck had issues and had a gas issue. It cost me over $1 100 in gas to drive 3200 miles in a 20ft truck which is completely unheard of. I have made this trip several times and NEVER had the issues I had this time. Pick up staff didn't care about the truck and it's gas (and break) issues and hung up on me. The staff here, though they couldn't do anything to change what happened on the west coast, were very sincere and very kind. Their storage units are clean and climate controlled and VERY secure. I would definitely recommend this location for both storage and moving. Thank you for making the end of my trip stress free!

My entire experience was amazing. I had to make last minute changes & Rana & her staff were more than accommodating. The facility is spotless & they provide carts for a seamless move. I am so happy that I chose them!

The only negative was the storage center closed at 7:00 pm. There were two times minimum that I needed something out of storage after 7:00 pm. On the first of those instances, I drove to the storage unit, having not realized it closed at 7 PM.

It would be helpful to have a place to throw away trash on site. I would have been willing to pay to be able to do that. There are so many trucks that it is hard to get in and out sometimes and I don't always understand why they park things where they do - in driveway of garages, etc. All in all - good experience.

Tha manager at the Sweeten Creek U haul was very efficient and very pleasant to deal with. Her facility is really nice and very clean. I also had a couple experiences with the young woman doing the cleaning maintenance and she was so pleasant and friendly. Top notch experience

Very very unorganized! Didn't discuss actual charges. Led me to believe I was paying a different amount, and then charged my card more than the amount they told me. They never answer the phone and are super slow! I will not be back!!!!!

The representative on duty was extremely patient and helpful during my visit. Though I arrived close to closing time and she was the only one on duty, she took her time explaining things to me, answering my questions, and showing me how to access my storage unit. She was very thorough in working with me, and did it all with a smile :)! Excellent customer service!

Rana and her team have been great since day one. Always accommodating and helpful and always a pleasure to deal with. I had a storage unit here for 20 months with zero issues and always always helpful staff were on hand should I need it. I also rented a truck 4 times from them and no problems there either. I wish there was somewhere to leave recycling (cardboard and paper) without a charge to me but I would still highly recommend this facility to anyone.

The cost per storage room is extremely high. The cost of the unit should include basic insurance coverage, it is unreasonable to require additional insurance be purchased. It is also unreasonable to enforce a specific type of lock that has to be bought at the uhaul facility.
