The trailer was covered in ice and slush but that is to no fault of the staff. I believe it was just returned before I picked it up and the winter weather was horrible so understandable. It didn't cause me any issues with my move though 

Had to move my things out of this company's storage due to a bug and rodent infestation. They got into everything and I had to throw away quite a bit due to this.

This was much easier than I thought . Was worried over seeing some negative reviews. But those obviously were old . I plan on leaving my own . Truck was clean and easy to drive . It seemed to be a newer truck .unlike what the reviews say. Also was worried because the place was closed for Sunday . But online pick up and drop off was easier than I assumed .

My storage unit had no light at all a bullet hole in the door from a previous incident and the cleanliness wasn’t bad but not good, I was in a hurry and will not do that again!

Well, the only problem i had was that a uhaul representative told me my car would fit onto a tow dolly, but it didnt. Therefore i lost out on the money i spent on the rental. Id like to get my money back. To be a satisfied customer. Ive rented uhaul vehicles, and trailers multiple times in my life. Never had a problem until now. Merci.

I rented a trailer. They let me leave the lot with zero lights plugged into the trailer, which means no brake lights nor turn signals. I rented it for 5 days and they charged me 6 because it took him half of the day to enter my return into the computer. You can't get ahold of anyone whenever you call. This location is horrible.

I cannot rate the pick-up location, because it is not correct. Like many things with this move, Uhaul got it it wrong. I picked up my Uhaul boxes in Virginia.

I was disappointed when I rented a 6'x12' open trailer with ramp. I was moving a 5-1/2' wide shed, unfortunately the ramp is only 5' wide. Why advertise a 6' trailer when you can't load anything 5' wide. The trailer was basically useless. We made it work but you wouldn't have been happy seeing the way it was used.

This was NOT my drop-off location. I had to go here when U-Haul didn't respond at the closer location, 3003 Lincolnway. There was much confusion and wasted time trying to figure out how to return anything, and where to put the key (NO dropbox at 3003 Lincolnway).

On the truck we had a few issues. The driver side visor was broken. The clip to keep it in place was missing and I kept having to move it from my view while driving. Also, the airbag service indicator message was displayed on the dashboard. Would the airbag not work in an accident? Cause for concern, I don't know? The last thing was the or license plate light was hanging. It did work but it shouldn't have been hanging.

Shouldn't charge.99 cents per mile on Friday or weekends when other companies are charging.69 cents per mile especially when only renting for a few hours

The employees working at this location should be fired. I returned my truck at approximately 12 noon I was told to give them the the keys and they would send me an email receipt once they checked in the truck. At 2 PM I still had not received a receipt for my return. I called this location and was told that I did not provide an email address so they could not send me a receipt. After debating with the person on the phone for several minutes she agreed to send me a receipt after I supplied an email address. She told me that I had never supplied an email address although I received an email confirmation when I reserved the truck and an email confirmation when I picked up the truck. After getting off the phone with the girl I realized they had just sent me a copy of my contract. I then called back this location and was told they would not be able to email me a receipt and would not be able to print me out a receipt if I came into the office. At this point I was very concerned that I had no proof I even returned the truck! My husband then got on the phone and ask her if she could give me a handwritten note verifying that I returned the truck. On the way to this location to get this note I called U-Haul's 800 number and spoke with Lazaro. He was able to look at my contract and verify that they did indeed have my email address and all they needed to do was check in the truck. He put me on hold and called the location and told them to check in the truck. At this point I finally received a receipt of return of the truck. I almost felt like they were doing something very shady at that location and I will never return there. What these little girls at this location did not realize is that we were cleaning out my father-in-law's apartment who had passed away approximately one week ago. This was already a very emotional day and this just added more stress. I have used Uhaul many times in the past and have never had an experience like this.I am very grateful for Lazzaro for helping me but if this is the kind of inept people you have working at this location it shows Uhaul as a terrible company.

This location needs a customer waiting room, not everyone has an option to drop off. That being said, the staff there was fabulous - made sure there was a chair for my wait time and were very friendly.

We reserved a 10” cargo van weeks in advance of our pick up. 2 days before pick up, we were contacted and told the cargo van was not available. We had very specific requirements on the size vehicle due to space restrictions with our transportation. It was very stressful to be told what we reserved would not be available. We then revived multiple communications from uhaul that we're confusing. First, it was that our reservation was changed from South Bend to Benton Harbor. Then it was changed to Greenwood,IL. Then the time was changed from 8am to 1am. Then it was changed to a 15” moving van, then a 10” moving van. We called uhaul multiple times and were transferred from main reservations to scheduling to a dispatch in Texas. We were eventually told we had a confirmed reservation for an 8am pick up of a 10” moving van in South Bend. That location opened at 7am. We arrived at 7:45. No one was working there until 8:30am. The whole process was disorganized and stressful.

Windows were so bad it made it hard to see out of truck. Location was to open at 9 I arrived at 845 at 10 after 9 two girls finally showed then I waited another 15 for them to get it together and open. I set the time at 9 for a reason people were waiting to help move.

I had missing items out of my unit and my unit was re rented my unit with me in it then told me it was no longer mine and all my stuff was in the unit it took 30 days for them to straighten this out and for me to re gain access to my unit

This is not regarding the service agent... This is regarding the misinformation regarding that our van could be picked up as early at 8am but this did not happen until 9am and then we did not leave the place until almost 10am.. false advertising for the busiest weekend for parents to move in their kids to dorms. And lack of organization by the Uhaul leadership... the service employee tried to do her best under poor leadership. I don't blame her at all. I blame to owner and Haul

Craig lovings the general manager is who I dealt with and it was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I had a reservation for a trailer and when I show up to the location there were several trailers there but he said the one assigned to me was unavailable and refused to assign me another one. I called the uhaul phone number and explained to the Indianapolis office what was going on and she said she would assign me a different one. When I was on the phone getting assigned a new trailer Craig lovings then proceeded to yell at me telling me the trailers he had at location were decommissioned. I asked the customer service lady on the phone and she said they were not. He eventually let me get the trailer after him and another coworker proceeded to get angry and treat me poorly. I will never go back to this location!!

Trailer I picked up I don't think it was serviced because empty it was fine loaded it shook 80 % of the time all the way from Indiana to Atlantic City New Jersey I reported it when I turned it in I even called and talk to customer service because I think I feel that I should have got some money back not because that yes because I turned it in a day and ahead of schedule and the problem I had with the trailer thank you

I made a reservation for 11:15 for 15ft van got there only 10ft was available yet charged for 15 and then told the gas was just under full I needed to bring it back full then asked to estimate mileage also some how charged for insurance I never wanted and blankets I never asked for. It gets worse when returned truck I was billed for the mileage again and charged for gas even tho I filled it to the level I received it and I do have pictures also charged for a late return when I was exactly on time with pics to prove it all in all I was charged 165 dollars for a 19 dollar truck for 24 hours I will be going to local management and requesting a full refund luckily I saved receipts and can see my card charges on app it's a shame u haul needs to screw patrons for profit

The reason that I gave a rating of average is because of the employees-{who were wonderful}-had a very difficult time serving the customers because of confusion and delays using your computer system. One employee made a comment that it was to be expected to have problems. Very unfortunate for the employees because it makes them look bad when the problem is not theirs. Very unfortunate for the customer, my husband and I stood in line for 30 -45 minutes waiting to confirm our reservation, which we had done online the day before.

We had a hitch installed at the elkhart location a week before renting a trailer at the south bend location. When we got to south bend to get the trailer, they noticed that the hitch that was installed was not right for our vehicle. They corrected the hitch for us on the spot and got us on the road with the rented trailer. Excellent service and excellent people!

The guy working was an asshole and did not know how to communicate where he wanted the truck- had me keep moving it to other areas of their small lot. The second move he wanted he said under the canopy where a truck filled that whole space. He needs some training by uhaul. He kept running up to the truck before I could get out to have me move it somewhere else. I moved it 3 times. No thought of the customer whatsoever.

I reserved my uhaul from 9am on the uhaul website. We got there at 9 and the only staff member there ignored us and the other customers there. Two other staff members arrived at 9:30 but they ignored customers as well. They were cleaning and moving every truck at the location rather than cleaning the trucks that people needed. No staff acknowledged any of the customers until 10:30, we were all left to stand outside in the 90° sun rather than even being permitted to wait in the lobby. We ended up having to pay extra to use the after hours drop because we started moving an hour and a half later than planned. I will never use uhaul again. Next time I'll use Penske. This was the single worst customer experience I've ever had.

Stick to the pickup times - just because you don't want to work late on a Saturday doesn't mean you should move my pickup time to the next day. And then when we did show up the next morning, the person working made us wait until they were done clearing the lot to do anything. Mind you this is when they were “open” and could help the three people there waiting. Also, the mobile pickup option is BS, if it doesn't work until an hour before they open then why is it labeled 24/7 pickup?

If you want to know what I have to say about this you need to call me at 702-576-1354. The manager running this facility is worthless. I was told yesterday I would get a call back within a half hour and it's been 24 hours and still no call back from this facility. And I've been a customer at this facility for a year and a half and as of yesterday I finally got a key card to get into my unit because they said I moved out and it never happened. I would really appreciate a phone call

Although I did not need your storage unit, I have heard from other people who have ise you tell me your great. When reserving my uhaul, it jumped right into storage, there was not an option to decline it. I thought I was reserving my uhaul.

Each month I would be charged late fees, possible lein, even this week I received a phone call to pay for storage $319. I settled my account in the first of February, moved my things out and left the keys. When I stored my things in October, I was to have one month free. Each month I check on the storage but the free month wasn't applied. Each month, I had to to correct my account. Each month I had to talk to someone but no follow through. Yesterday, the employee printed out a recept $0. No charges or late fees. So. It will be interesting if I will receive a bill. Uhaul has always been a reliable company. With the promotion, one month free, it really messed my account. Also, card key never worked. The employees that presently working have always been kind. If I have thought renting a storage unit would be a hassle, I should have sold all my things and start over. I rented a 8 x 8.

I have rented and used U-Haul services for years, but this facility is the worst facility I have ever done business with. This facility has the most incompetent employees I've ever had to deal with. We had a U-box to be picked up on Oct 6th, but they did not have it available. We then rented a truck at 3 PM, returned it between 9-9:30 on Oct 7th, and they wanted to charge us for a two day rental. Lastly, because they did not have the U-box available, we were forced to rent one of their storage unit, which was disgustingly nasty and unacceptable. Their were poison rat boxes inside of the unit, no lights and very smelly. Due to these concerns, we told them we did not want to acquire this unit, and asked for a much better presentable one . They proceeded to state they didn't have any other units available. This was the last and only available unit. We proceeded to have the attendant cancel the request, which she said she did, but on Oct 8th, I received an email stating I was first late paying for the storage unit and then charged a $15 late penalty fee. All of this in a 2-day span. We called the facility on Oct 9th, talked to the same attendant who assisted us, and she was unable to figure out the issue, or assist us as to why we are being charged for a unit we cancelled immediately. We have a copy of the paperwork saying the charges were reversed, but it doesn't reflect on charges of the invoice receipt. I had concerns then, and now I see why. This facility should no longer provide or ever again assist future customers. Avoid them at all cost. The entire day with that U-Haul facility was the worst and most unforgettable day. We were in forced placed our HHGs at another storage facility, in hopes of finding someone professionally capable of having it shipped out to the west coast as originally scheduled. I cannot stress this any more, stay completely away from this U-Haul facility at all cost.

Some of the staff members was not friendly at all especially when I call from Texas to pay my bill they were accusing me of being somebody else and try to overpay me they told me that I owe such and such on the storage which I didn't and it was just a lot going on and since I've been back to South bend Indiana everything is clean and neat there but the little disorganized it seem like a lot of youngsters are working up there that's not really knowing how to download and find people storage and things so y'all might need to work on that but what I recommend you whole of course cuz I have you holding Texas as well thanks again for your services but I won't be using you anytime soon in South bend thank you

It's impossible reach anyone at this location. I've tried to speak with someone onsite regarding making payments towards my storage unit balance over the course of 2 months . Everytime I get transferred to the call center where they leave messages for the office but I've NEVER received one call from anyone. I live 2 and a half hrs away so just walking into office isn't possible. The only communication I had them is the emails I received when payment was due and now the final notice. I don't care how busy a business is it for never be impossible speak with them. Especially over a couple months. People moce out of town and use storage for a reason. It should not be made impossible for us to care of any matter. Now my storage unit is up for auction if it hasn't been auctioned off already.

I was having difficulty communicating with uhaul about my storage unit because the calls kept getting forwarded to the main office. I had to find a ride to the place where my storage was. They were very helpful once I got there

It would have been perfect if not for my interaction with staff just prior to move out. I attempted to call facility several times with questions about my move out but was put on hold 20-30 minutes each time then disconnected with no help from staff member.

My personal experience with storage facilities has been with a 10x15 you pay $100 not an 8x8 like at uhaul.

The experience that I had with U-Haul and storage was wonderful the people were kind gentle and respectful help me in any way that I needed there was no problem with the truck there was no problem with the person that took care of me it was a very wonderful experience thanks you all

Chris was great- really helpful and knowledgeable. However, the U-Box offering is a mess from start to finish. You all need to test your information systems because they barely work.

The facility was dimly lit with very narrow access for storage space. The storage space was wet with mold marks on the wall and water on the floor.

I was one locker away from the climate-controlled zone but was charged for climate control. You also need to buy their expensive $10 lock, which the staff didn't tell me when I first got my rental.
