Sam D.Great location... just wish they would wash Vans before putting them out again. We rent regularly for our catering business, and we have to wash the outside almost every time. They are so dusty and dirty, bugs on windshield etc. I rent due to the nice newer models you have, but not a good impression to pull up to a wedding in a dirty, dusty van. Thanks !

PAULIN G.The U-Haul representative that was helping try to take advantage of me by updating me a hitch. He went out to inspect the 8†pick-up truck. Then came back saying that the new truck U-Haul had didn't come with hitches anymore and I had to buy one. I go outside to inspect the trucks and there were multiple trucks with it and pointed this out to him. I got what I wanted and then he apologized to me saying it wasn't him it was the “companyâ€. If this is the type of treatment this location give to its customer no I won't recommend it.

Teresa M.I never received a confirmation email as I requested. The guy that helped me when I came in to pick up the truck was smacking his gum the entire time he looked for my order, and was not very personable. When I dropped off, it was very unclear of what steps were to be taken next. I asked a question about how much I would be charged because I didn't think I used the amount of miles I guessed, and I was just told we don't charge til you bring it back, what kind of receipt do you want? And I requested email, and no email was sent.

When I came in the staff greeted me like they did not care I was a paying customer. They gave me the impression I am a burden and did not want to help. Will not rent from you location.
DANIEL H.Renting the Uhaul was a breeze. However when we encountered problems with the truck 12 hours later which resulted in us having to call roadside assistance and being unable to use the truck fir the time we actually rented, the employees at the Phillips Highway location were incredibly nasty and unhelpful. That truck was dangerous and it could have blown up, but they had no concern for our safety. U haul will never get my business ever again, because of the horrible customer service and down right nasty treatment by those employees.
juan O.Reservation was for a 24 hour in town rental. The contract was changed for no reason with an earlier time to return (which I did not pay attention to). I was charged $20 for "late return" even when the the rental time totaled 19 hours.

Richard S.I'm knowledgeable with these trucks however many drivers are not. There was no going over this vehicle, just handed keys and told the truck was on the back end of the lot. If a customer pre orders a truck and it a conformation given it should be at the location. I ended up with a truck twice the size needed that cost more in fuel and I wasn't given enough mileage to get to the destination and drop off point

mike J.Was charged for dolly and furniture pads but never received them. Was told that would be fixed, yet still ended getting receipt for the charges. Did "mobile" pick-up thinking it would be faster than physical check-in....got there early, and still spent almost an hour on my phone filing stuff out even though I filled it out on PC days earlier. No point in mobile pick-up when you can't start providing information required until GPS detects you at the Uhaul location. Was asked for passport, lease agreement, or 2 additional contacts who must pick up the phone after they are called to be verified. After allllll that, you have to still go inside and pick up the keys.
Goran K.I use to rent from the location many years ago. On a weekly basis . I always felt appreciated and welcomed. Yesterday I received “ entitlement, non- professional attitude†. I tried to check in though the website so I would have to deal with people . No luck! Crappy inside staff! But the guys outside nice ! Wont rent from here again.

Janet G.Blankets and appliance dolly were not in the truck when I received it. I had to go back in to ask for it from them and they informed me they didn't have the dolly I needed for my washer and dryer. I never was informed of the equipent availablitly at any point up until then. They had to call another uhaul dear and I personally, had to drive out of my way to pick up the dolly. Upon returning the truck they charged me a 30 gas fee and 11,5 gallons of gas even though I topped off a couple gallons. 11,5 gallons is impossible anyway given I drove 39,5 miles. The gage they said I returned at was though an email document was 3/16 lower than I had perceived. Customer service gave me a hard time and said I would have to drive down there with photographic evidence for them to do anything. Although on the phone when I mentioned I have rented with them at least 4 times in the past without this level of difficulty the supervisor got involved and promptly refunded me.

Luis R.I booked a month in advance and equipment was not there when I arrived. The Manager said I was an hour late to my appointment so they had to rent my trailer to someone else (I was less that 45minutes “lateâ€). I was never advised that I had to be there within a certain amount of time or o would forfeit my reservation. I had to get a smaller trailer and it cost me an extra $300 to pay my movers to make extra trips. *the same thing happened to 2 other guys in the store at the same time. The manager and 2 other female employees couldn't have cared less.

David G.They refunded me my storage on the 10th of march for no reason. And then after randomly refunding me they have me no time to move my vehicle, then towed it to a tow yard. They also towed my other car all on the 10th , i talked to corporate and they told me I would have time to move my vehicle and a police escort will be headed out to walk me to my rv stop. When they arrived they acted like they didnt know any thing and arrested me like i was a problem, all while I had corporate on the phone.

After dark there's a lot of commotion in the surrounding area and that really should be a paid attention to as far as Security goes and feeling comfortable being there after dark. The biggest thing that stands out and the reason that I will continue to use U-Haul storage or just U-Haul in general is the staff at that location. They were amazing. They were friendly and fun but always professional. They remembered me and waved hello when I would come in this alone made me feel like a part of the group. I felt a sense of ownership even though I was just renting. As strange as this may sound I actually felt good about going to or leaving my storage unit. Everyone was helpful from the front desk staff to some of the guys in the shop. I even left the door open to my unit one day when I was in such a hurry and wasn't thinking. They called me right away and were so kind to take care of it until I could get there just to make sure my things were secure. This group at the U-Haul on Phillips and University deserves five stars plus !!!

When I filed and insurance claim they told them the units have pest control which is impossible. The assistant manager opened my unit and saw for himself the infestation and still failed to do anything.

Also, I tried to sell back boxes that I bought from U-Haul.. the new guy tried to help, but couldn't get it. Then Cedric hopped in and tried his very best to help me. Then the rude GM made a smart comment about me having to leave and get the receipt.. mind you, I purchased these boxes online and had a order code. Extremely ridiculous and a waste of my time. I will never recommend or use U-Haul again because of the trash experience I have had.

juwuan h. | Expérience généraleThe staff does not make customers a priority. The one girl is super rude. She will ask you what you need and then go help someone else - she did this to me twice. The first time I stood in line, when I needed help returning my truck she walked outside with me, then said "I need to get the form and I will be right back". She went in to help other people and when I asked her if she was going to come back to help me she said well I have to help these people in line first, and I said I already waited for 30 minutes in that line to be helped. I had to wait another 20 minutes for someone (a guy to help me). Forget trying to call to ask 1 question, I was immediately put on hold for 10 Minutes before I could even say hello or ask my question. I had to call back 20 times before someone answered the phone, thankfully it was a manager who was able to answer my question to close out my unit. I will not be returning to this facility.
