michael pThe U-Haul reservation was extremely messed up badly!! We resaved the truck drop offf and storage facilities at the 345 East University McKinney location but when we arrived from driving over 430 miles; we were informed they don't have any storages after we already reserved it when we reserved the 26ft truck. The staff extremely unconcerned!! So I contacted the 800 number, they sent us to the West McKinney location which is Totally out the way!! It took 1,5 hours to reserved to another location, which that time went over into the movers time which we also reserved thru U-Haul. But we end up paying the overtime for the movers due to U-Haul messed up our reservation.and we didn't get all our things moved into the storage unit. This was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! We have always used Penske and had the best experience. The reason we took a chance on U-Haul is because you offered storage unit!! We contacted UHaul and explained all our concerns, they informed us a manager will be contacting us for everything regarding these issues & concerns: reservation, different drop off, storage unit, time over with the movers, mileage, gas and the inconvenience all around. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! No manager or anyone has contacted us at all!! This is Extremely Awful to treat your customers like this especially when we are spending over thousands of dollars with your company!!! We will be contacting the Corporate Office regarding all our concerns and issues. This is absurd!!!

CHARLES JI've had a terrible experience from start to finish I wasn't able to pick up the truck on time I had to wait until the store opened because the mobile pick up did not work. I get to Mississippi the storage size that I had a reservation for wasn't available therefore I had to get a larger size that I did not need. The staff was not empathetic what so ever. I as the customer was inconvenienced and I have to pay more money for a larger storage unit. No discount for my inconvenience was offered.

Rochelle CHORRIBLE experience; i reserved in advance by a couple of days; prepaid via credit card, had confirmation number of reservation. Had to call UHaul the morning of pick up because no code to keybox was given; 800 rep said I had not completed reservation.. I had a confirmation number! Spent at least 30-45 minutes on phone-- finally given keycode code for onsite pickup NO KEYS were in ANY of the keyboxes! Local site was closed and no one answered the business number when i called it. I was asked to drive 20 minutes in a different direction for a truck. WHY? Finally told I could pick up the one in Southaven. I was advised I would get $50 back due to this craziness. The ladies at the Mt. Moriah office tried hard to help. The agent at the 800 number was not helpful.

Denise NI found the staff to be unprofessional is the best description I can give. The individual that was assisting me was on her phone and the other lady had a not so pleasant demeanor. As for the van….. HORRIBLE! The windshield was so dirty I could barely see anything and the van seemed like there are transmission issues.

Neprolean WI don't know who gave uhaul the right to impose a fine of 50 om me. Because was told l could go through a emergency exit. I did and they said that I was find. Who made them my judge and jury. Did the man that was using the exit get find.NO! the same one who told me the alarm was off and l could use the door.l thought he worked there. Robert WApp was easy to use and the two women at the front desk were friendly, helpful and good customer service. Price was good and my truck was ready and in and out quickly. Plus the dollie was big and upgraded version of the "regular" sized dollies . The downside was my truck was pretty beat up. There was a loose metal plate that my items and the dollie kept getting stuck on and made it a bit hard to maneuver around. Also the rubber lining part on the driver side door/window, came loose when I would open the door so I had to keep fixing it. Other than that, overall good experience. Will use Uhaul again.

Colin SPick up. The young lady was outstanding. I mentioned my concern about getting on my grass and she moved the U-box over a bit with her forks. I don't know who trained her, but left me standing in awe and very envious of her skills. Both she and her trainer get high accolades. Thanks
james dThe driver side wheel strap on the auto transport had been torn for sometime as it was quite frayed. It tightened down sufficiently for transport, but has obviously been neglected for sometime. Other than that the unit looked well-maintained.

Tenisha BThe manager was not present when we arrived at the store. There was a staff member who was unable to print out our contracts and he was patient with us. There was another employee, from UBox, who was very nice and patient through my frustration. But the manager who was not there has not reached out to apologize. No one from the store has reached out to speak with us about anything. We were expecting bad weather, but there was none that early on my reservation date and there truly is no excuse for the store employee to not be present to open the store on time. That's super unprofessional and tacky.

Antuwan P | Expérience généraleI would NOT recommend this location, for one reason. The manager (LANEDRA COLEMAN) is extremely rude and she is very condescending towards you. She has no boundaries. She struggles just to ask you a question, with some type of decency. It appears she hates her job. When we were there, she was talking very loud and with a rough tone, to one of the male associates. She was refusing to rent to my Son, because She and I had a disagreement in the past, about an access card that wasn't working. Two of my neighbors have also left that location, only because of Ms. Coleman. I would like to give much GRATITUDE to STEVEN GARRETT, Company President. He is a great example of Top Level Management, in keeping with their goals, of providing excellent customer service. My son notified him with this issue and he took care of the problem immediately. We had been renting from that location for over a year, with early payments at all times. Even though our problem got resolved, we felt like we needed to change facilities, to avoid other problems in the future. Thank you again Mr. Garrett for resolving our issue. A+

Donald T | Premières impressionsAfter requesting a different unit for almost a year, due to the long dark hallways. My unit was broken into. Over $2000 worth of loss. Head manager has not contacted me and its been 3 weeks. No one offered me a discount or anything to ease the situation. Customer restroom is filthy every time i went into it. Garage doors and sliding doors were open upon my arrival on most visits ( not secure ) Since I could not be contacted and no one showed concern, I felt targeted and unsafe. Local authorities have assured me that break ins are normal at this location, and internal employees seem to be involved. This is sad that i had to move out because I really liked the facility despite the long hallway, and security issues. But without security - whats the point??? Signed- Angry customer who will never use Uhaul again and I will encourage others the same!

I had 5 boxes of magnificent flowers that were given to me for the passing of a loved one . 2 boxes of the were taken. The ribbons were taken off the boxes and left on the floor and someone had stepped on one of the lids. Items had been knocked off the shelves they were stored on and boxes were opened that had previously been taped closed. If the lock was tampered with I would hope that someone at the facility would have reached out to me.

They stole my two Tv's. I wouldn't recommend this uhaul at all. In come to find out they have other theft cases open at this uhaul.

Dave K | Expérience généraleI was supposed to get a $39 rate that was set when I made my reservation, and when I moved in they confirmed that rate so I signed the agreement. The first month was free, but after that they charged me $49! I called to correct it, and all the staff would say is the rate must have gone up. I received no notice in mail or email about a rate change. When the rate did officially change in 2022, I did get an email and paper notice (as required by law). So, I know they just charged me the wrong rate and refused to correct it though I contacted several times.

Gail D | Premières impressionsMy storage apparently was apart of a fire and water damage that we (the customers) didn't find out about until the day after it happened at almost 10pm via an automatic text. I lost so much of my stuff due to the fire and water damage. Furniture, tv, purses, clothes, my degrees and so much more. Most greatly I lost things that were irreplaceable, like all of the memories and valuables my siblings and I had stored away of our late father, I mourned for days I felt like I was reliving that day I got the news all over again; I was crushed! And all these people could compensate for myself and so many others was 1000 measly dollars. A storage is suppose to be a safe place we're people store their valuables, important documents, and life long treasures not a place where you leave your things only to come back to things being destroyed, damaged or tampered with. I'm still trying to rebuild after that traumatic incident. I pray to God that I'm never in a situation where I'd need these people again because they are cruel, heartless, and highly unprofessional!

James O | Premières impressionsThere was a fire???? And the sprinklers went off and flooded the bottom floor. We weren't able to go in for 2 days. When we were able to go in there were still puddles of water on the floor which was dangerous. The air was not working. It was suffocating. By the end of the day they had set up dehumidifiers and fans. They did have help to empty your units and help you but if you valued your belongings you did it yourself. This was horrible. It seems to me uhaul fills like if you have things in storage it is not valuable to you. I have always used uhaul and I will never again.. it is not due to the employees at this facility but because of corporate and their risk management team. We had a big loss including our deductible and our time that it took to pull everything g out and unpack and repack boxes.

We needed storage while we closed on our house, and storage was a very smooth and easy process! Our items were secure, and climate controlled! I will be using the Southaven location again ☺️! Every employee that I encountered was so sweet! You could tell that they were like a little family!

I had to move furniture from a restaurant and I only had so much time. But your opening hours on Sunday were somewhat inconvenient! 9 am hurt and pushed back the schedule in which I planned! So if moving the Sunday hours up a couple of hours are a real matter that can be changed, it would be great!
