Was told someone would come out to hook up the trailer as we were not allowed to do it. Waited. waited. Lady cleaned an empty truck that had been parked for awhile. Then moved it. Finally came over to us. After getting hooked up we couldn't leave because she'd parked the truck blocking the path to get out of the parking lot. Took way longer to get the trailer and leave than it should have. With a car full of kids who waited patiently as long as they could. Oh and the huge pot hole of mud that was next to the trailer so I stepped in it when trying to leave... great.Leanne D.

I had to fill up the tank and I still got charged the full price. When I paid my total was 66,89 but I just received my receipt and it says $79. I'm not understanding because I didn't get a furniture dolly or any other equipment. I just received the 10' truck.Shamyia H.

Work on neatness and orderliness of items for sale. The area in front of the registers looks like random storage . The customer has to wind his way past boxes for sale through a passage way of other boxes. Work on presentation. The woman who checked me in and out was terrific.Richard M.

This is the second vehicle rental I've needed inside of two months I was again in and out of the store in under 10 minutes, I think utilizing the online rental and check-in process is part of making this such a quick and hassle free experience Just like last time very friendly representative. The pickup location was immaculate. The equipment was clean. This following comment has zero to do with the location. That gosh darn vehicle transport was a nightmare. The straps wouldn't stay on, not even when big strong truckers helped. I stopped last at the Jackson MO exit. By the time I got to chaffee, neither strap was on. Every time I stopped and screwed with the stuck latch thingies, a man would come help. Thank God for that. The sliders kept sliding inward and pulling the straps off. On a positive note the pick up gal and the drop off were both very nice and helpful. If it weren't for them both being extremely nice I'd have left a bad Google review because that car trailer is a nightmare. I can't believe my cat stayed on. Now...let me go pay to have it fixed because it damaged something. I have an anti slide alert warning now, in my car. And why wouldn't I? The straps were a nightmcat. And it wasn't because I didn't know what I was doing. Again, big strong truckers helped the whole way.Kelley R.

The mileage on the track was wrong on the paper resit and charged fuel when they didn't fuel up there on track before I took it in their parking lot was told to take a picture of it but got charge on the fuel anyway. I'm going back tomorrow to let them know, because I have pictures of the odometer and fuel gauge of the track that I rent to them.Alfredo P.

The staff were friendly and provided excellent customer service. For example one customer was being rude and disrespectful hopped in line in front of me. The staff representative handle the person by asking him to adjust his attitude or he will need to leave the store. The person continue to be rude. He was asked to leave the store. The staff here was very professional, courteous and efficient. I was inside about 10 minutes if that, she showed me everything I needed to know about my contract costs and expectations then took me out and showed me how to operate the ramp, door and appliance dolly I had also rented. She showed me where to put the keys and park it on return. I recommend people to go there but until I went to pay with cash at the end to close out my storage until this Angela girl give me a fake receipt and went back to close out and the store manager goes that was a fake one and I said I had to make her go back on the cameras to look back and told them everything step-by-step and told her what was going on that day and they had to go back and tell the girls girls what was going on I always deal with the same girl but she was not there I was pretty messed up and now I have to go backOver there after two weeks of getting letters in the mail saying my thing is not closed out saying I still owe $134 to U-Haul is getting ridiculous because it’s not cleared up yet a waste of time for me to drive over there and get this cleared up no I think they should reverse me for something I have to go clean up their mess because this girl did not put my money in the drawer and make a payment on my stuff but they have to go back to camerasMichelle H. | Expérience générale

The staff at Des Moines 14th st. Went far and beyond their duties to make my experience great. The phone scheduler need to be fired or u-haul needs to change it's policies with phone ordering. Norfolk VA. Janaf office are no help for all the money a person spends.all they say when you ask for help hooking up is it's not their job.everything I ask for,I didn't get,and I was assured it was there.overcharged,quoted one price after adding up everything then get there and the price is 400 more then they tell you this is what you ordered.at the janaf office they said do you want it or not, terrible business practice just when you need it,I'll never use y'all business again. was told gas was not at the proper level and was charged for 10 gallons. lady did not greet me, I was told to just leave vehicle there and they will send me an email later. I received a receipt that I was charged another 50 dollars for not enough fuel. I did not get a receipt and rented this vehicle for business purposes. I also only received a $11,00 credit because gas tank was empty. She gave no instructions as to fueling when returning. I filled when leaving Des Moines and that was $90 . Fueled when I returned to Waterloo and that was $60. I'm not happy at all.KEVIN H.

This location has a large variety of equipment ready to go but when I arrived to get my rental at 7am when they opened no one was there. It took roughly 10 min for someone to show up. When she finally got the store opened up and we got all the paperwork signed she gave me keys to the wrong truck. Then she had to frantically search for the keys, then she remembered she took a bunch of keys home and they were in her jacket. I also got billed for them adding gas even though it had more gas in it when I brought it back than when I got it. Nice place just wasn't great customer service.Josh T.

I don't believe it was the location's fault. The uhaul van reeked of lingering cigarette and the driver's Sideview mirror could not be adjusted. The position was held in by a Allen socket set screw which the business did not have. Aside from that, the 10' box van transmission grumbled at low speed and sounded like it wouldn't make the trip.JACOB F.

We dropped off the trailer, told by the attendant that the receipt would be emailed to us. Two days later we get no one, two but three calls asking where was the trailer. We told them what we did where it was parked and the license plate information. We ended up going to the facility and walked them to where the trailer was, turns out the person who took the trailer did not input the receiving of the trailer and the other reps did not go outside to look for the trailer. Whoever was previously in charge had led me to believe my unit was cleaned out and all items lost early into my lease. When the current manager called me and told me that it was still there, waived the month between when I was told it was gone and when he was reviewing records, and made it very easy for me to continue the lease. If not for him I may have lost several momentos and personal items that are important to me. Clean out was easy and it was quick getting out of the store after. Overall its been a good experience.
