I placed the order and paid for this U-Haul truck with a appliance dolly for pick up at this location and to be returned at a location in Ripley, WV. When I got there I was told return would be the same location, Blizzard Dr and no appliance dolly. I was given a truck with a broken place in the back and the guy I talked to, I think Peyton Board, told me it was broken but it could be used to haul stuff. He said he gave me $50 off on the rental but I do not see anything about a discount on the receipt I was given. I also fell in that broken part in the truck 2 times.Ivan S.

Waited over an hour for a truck that was sitting in the lot. Truck had serious front end problems. Took the truck back after using it for 6 hours and 58 miles and they charged me another 30 on my card for who knows what. The gas was back where it was when I got the truck and it was clean. The only issue I had was that I was put in the wrong unit to begin with. But the staff helped me get into the correct size unit and when they mistakenly cut the lock off my unit it was immediately replaced and I was notified the same/next day.Tara C. | Premières impressions

The truck wasn't cleaned between the prior renter and myself renting it. I reserved a 26ft but was told that was only available if I went to Ravenswood and picked it up AND that I'd be charged 69 cents per mile to do it. I refused to pay approximately $60 (@ 0,69 per mile) plus the $75 In gas it'd take just to pick the truck up in addition to my rental fee and cents per mile plus the gas it takes to use it for what I need. Absolutely crazy that they'd even suggest that. Won't be renting Here again.Sylvia S.

Rented a trailer, had it back in less than 24hrs and got charged for 3 days!Rebecca T.
The Truck we got had only one brake light, no turn signals and drove like it was going to break down anytime. I ask for moving blankets to be added and there was none. The back lift door would not open easy, once we got it open then it wouldn't shut, there was a cable caught that prevented it from closing. We only had 11 miles to go to unload and it took us an hour to get the door down, Tried calling the office for help and no answer. We returned the truck 3 hours after picking up and the guy said he would refund some money for the trouble, I got the email and it was still almost 94 Just for rental and 14. For INS. That was after we put 30 in gas before taking it back. Very bad experience and unhappy with how it was handled. I have bought a couple hundred dollars in boxes, tape and moving straps from this location. I can't believe they let trucks go out in this kind of condition.Loretta L.
The clerk was smug and rude. First of all I had to come to Parkersburg to get my truck when I was supposed to pick it up in Reedy, WV. I was notified one day in advance. When I did get to the truck in Parkersburg I was told the appliance dolly I requested was not available either, this made my move extremely difficult for two men. I was supposed to be discounted to $19,99 because of the inconvenience of having to come to Parkersburg and my final bill was more then I was originally quoted for pick up in Reedy, WV. I shouldn't have to pay anything. I was also charged for the dolly that I never received. So all in all, very disappointed in service and the young man that had the nerve to tell me, you can buy a dolly if you want. He's lucky I didn't smack his backwards hat off his head. Upon return also there were 6 people in line and no one in the store. Need better management for sure.Rich H.

The truck rented ran bad cause bad fuel milage. 1 or more rear tires out of balance causing truck to shake. The steer was so bad it was dangerous. Maybe do some maintenance on your equipment.michael W.

We turned the truck in on 5/21/22 @9:45. Very busy, clerk took key and said they would take care of moving truck. The deadline to turn truck in was 5/22/22 @ 10:00. We received a receipt for an extra day. The truck was entered as turned in on 5/22/22 @ 12:30. We now have the inconvenience of returning to Uhaul to have corrected. We feel confident there are cameras at the facility to verify time of return. They should have a system to drop keys during business hours that would record date and time or just require customers to wait.Robert N.

It may help to have more than 2 employees working, especially when you first open, so that the influx of customers needing rentals can be helped in a timely manner. I chose mobile check in, but it didn't work so I had to go inside for assistance and had to restart the process. They were unprepared for my arrival even though I had scheduled it for a week in advance. The furniture pads I ordered weren't in the truck and I had to carry them myself. The truck was parked in the middle of multiple trucks and I had to wait for them to move trucks out of the way and then had to back out without assistance.William W.

Customer service was awful. The Sunday staff need to be taught how to interact with customers. No one ask if we had been helped. The guy at the counter said maybe 3 word during the entire transaction. Had to ask about the free lock that was advertised online. I was charged for all the mileage, when the add on line said first 30 miles where included in fees any miles after the first 30 were 0,69 per mile. I called to secure 3 storage units days before our travel date of Saturday, November 6, 2021. Spoke on Monday, November 1,2021. to Jacqui to secure 3 units. She was pleasant; however, little knowledge of how to rent units with someone in the back ground giving her direction. Received an e mail confirmation for only one unit, called again spoke to Kyle with my concern of only on confirmation on 3 units. Kyle assured me that I was "all set" for our arrival on Nov 7th. Arrived Saturday, presented my reservation number and the worker saidthat we did not have a reservation. The attendant seemed very distracted, no concentration and "out to lunch". The second attendant wasn't much better. Very disconnected and not helpful. Inside restroom just nasty. Asked if they wanted to inspect our return truck and mileage. The response was "no we don't worry about that". Storage units poor, trouble closing and getting lock on door. Uhaul truck blocking access to unit 145 .. attendants no idea how to more the company owned truck. This is very disappointing, not a good impression of folks moving into the state. Our unit leaked, and our possessions were covered in mold and mildew. Everything smelled and is basically a loss. Staff seemed uninterested in helping other than to tell us to make an insurance claim. Customer service was disappointing. Even if we are able to recoup and rebuy, there are things in the unit that are irreplaceable (pictures, baby book, etc.). So incredibly easy to take care of something that is usually a logistical pain. Everything could be done from my phone, and it was really convenient that I could access my unit and return my truck event though it was past store hours. I called an employee a couple minutes past close to ask some questions and he picked up and stayed on the line with me for probably 20 minutes just trying to help me out. Great overall.
