Poor service and the vehicle I was provided was damaged and smelled awful.

There were fries on the seat from a previous customer - clearly not cleaned to covid standards. When dropping the car off we went inside to return the keys. The lady at the desk told us to just give the keys to a guy outside and we'd be refunded the hold on the card. We gave him the keys and then got a missed call at 8:30am Monday morning. My girlfriend called back and was told that a cheque had been sent to our previous address because she hadn't answered the phone. We did provide our new "moving-to" address when renting the truck. The cheque was also issued in my name when it was my girlfriend who paid on her card - I'm not a citizen and wouldn't be able to cash it. She called up again to have the cheque issued in her name to the new address, they confirmed, and called back 20 mins later asking if she could come in that day to pick it up. She arranged to go in the following day and get the refund on to her card. The staff were uninterested, unapologetic, and impolite, considering the hassle we'd been put through. They didn't make mention of the cleanliness issue we submitted at the start of the rental.

Always available. Never an issue. Great customer service and friendly. Drop off was even easier. Didn't have to go inside, gentleman just checked me out upon parking truck and I was able to walk away. As weekends are their busiest time for truck rental walk-ins, and pick ups, it is suggested to pick up the night before (close to closing time) so no issues. Always worked for me without a hitch. Definitely would use location again and recommend.

Great customer service at the pick up desk her name was Kim and she was very helpful and provided all the information clearly with out any issues. She was very helpful.

Bad experience from pick up through drop off. Lastly - they charged me a fuel fee when I returned the truck with more fuel than when I left. When I asked that they check the trucks fuel reading to confirm before I left the premises they just told me not to worry about it. They charged me a $30 fee + $37 dollars in gas. When I started the truck in the morning, it showed 1/4 tank then told me I have 50 Miles to empty just after leaving the parking lot. I returned the truck slightly above 1/4 of a tank. I'll be calling to protest tomorrow. Terrible experience.

I think the only thing I would recommend is more of a personable approach to customer treatment. I know what it's like to work retail or similar, and a more personable approach is always welcome. For example, if a customer rents a dolley or other items, they should be given to the customer directly always.

Staff were helpful and friendly. I needed to rebook my moving truck and the local call centre was very helpful. When arrived, I got my keys quickly and easily. Initially, my truck was boxed in, but one of the staff (I believe his name was Sunny) was very helpful and immediately resolved this, as well as taking initiative to wipe snow off the truck and replace a faulty wiper blade. Thank you to all of your helpful staff - it made my moving day easy.

Improve issues with "contactless" check in via website - gave me the wrong information, and ended up needing to go inside and check in with a desk agent, wasting time I had spent completing the online steps. Lost about an hour of rental time trying to check in and pick up the truck.

I ordered a 10' foot truck, and UHaul confirmed both the day the before AND the day of the pick up (2 hrs before), yet when I got to the location, they were all out. Unacceptable, especially when I HAVE to move on a particular day. The receptionist at the branch was really not interested in her job and very lazy about helping.

The actual size of the storage locker is smaller than the advertised dimension, which made the storage experience much harder than expected.

The truck smelled like cigarette and weed. I had no where to park my car. The check out link expired by the time I returned to the location after needing to park my car elsewhere and the location was closed. Frustrating, to say the least.

The original location would not let us check in with the mobile app because it said we were not there when we were standing in front of the building and surrounded by uhaul trucks. Waisted an hour there and it took a half hour on hold to get someone from Uhaul to change our reservation to a different location.

The office person was helpful, but on the other side her coworker who was supposed to help in the yard to pickup my tow dolly was lost in his phone and was not at all helpful cooperative. Even i remember his name, but i won't disclose it.His non-cooperative behaviour let me to waste my 45mins of time doing nothing there.

I reserved a truck and 2 dollys on December 19th 11:00am. I arrived at 11:15am to get my keys (as I did the express check in). The truck was available but only one dolly.... The young lady at the front refused to give me my keys. Apparently as per U-Haul the management is allowed to refuse a customer if there drivers license is expired due to Covid-19. We told the young lady that service Ontario denied our renewal as they were extending the expiry dates until further notice. The young lady kept refusing us stating she cannot service us due the expired license. No where on the website nor in store states this “policy” or else we would prepare our selves in advance to take action. We asked to speak with a manager, she said she spoke to her already and she said no. Than we ask again we want to speak to a floor manager that is here today. She says that is the manager but she can't speak she's on “vacation”. So she lied to us about the manager speaking with her. So she gets a man at the back to speak to us he was refusing at some point stating they are not able to mess with the system with the expired license plate due to people not returning the trucks, stealing property and etc. We kept going back and forth about our situation. He eventually did something 2 hours late for us to get the truck. At the end they still refused to give us more time with the truck. U-Haul needs to make notice to all customers regarding expired drivers license due to COVID 19!!!!!!!! I want a refund!!! Don't go to the stockyards location in Toronto ontario very rude service.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would like to commend the two women who were on duty on Friday December 11 at around 6pm for being professional and patient with two sets of very aggressive and somewhat discourteous clients. One of them was also not wearing a mask and I do not fault the staff for not saying anything as I understand how intimidating it can be to have to confront a young aggressive male who is with two other men. Perhaps a security guard would be useful at this time of crisis.

The only thing I would improve is to make it clear to clients that when they return the vehicles they can do it outside. I waited approximately 5-10 minutes before one of the staff approached me and asked me what I needed. I would suggest to have staff there to acknowledge clients when they return. Other than that, the experience was good.

Everything was great, location staff just needs to be more diligent about making sure any addition items such as dollys and furniture pads are added to orders. Otherwise everything was completely seamless and will definitely use again and reccomend to a friend.

The lights on the trailer didn't work (the connection was loose and they were intermittent). I only noticed this once I was on the highway at night, which made an unsafe and scary trip. I had a hitch and ball installed by uhaul, but I believe I was given the incorrect ball and the trailer was riding way too low in the front. One of the staff members who hooked up the trailer was rude and not pleasant to deal with.

Hasty market took 30 minutes to give me the keys and return the car. There is only 1 car in the parking lot. Spending an hour waiting in a convenience store when it's completely empty doesn't make much sense to me. Especially when he had my ID and credit card the entire time. Was he stealing my identity? I have no idea. As well, the code at Weston Road didn't work so I had to back to the office 3 times. I don't get how the code wouldn't work to get in the storage unit.

I booked Uhaul for the first time and after booking my location kept on changing automatically which I thought is an error so I called in at Uhaul 4 times and every time I was kept on over 30 min holds. Then I got tired of trying to get in touch with someone so I kept on changing my location to the preferred one after the error (where my location used to change) finally I got a call from Uhaul (not a friendly rep) stating that if I can't keep changing my location and then she explained that hey were changing my location from the back end without informing me. Till the time I came to know about this all the locations near me were; ready sold out and I had to go 1 hr away by TTC to pick and drop the truck. So overall not the most pleasant 1st experience.

It was my first time moving into self storage, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised at this location. Purchasing, check in, and access was simple and secure both for pedestrian and cars (you can pull right into a covered loading dock for self storage). I purchased a climate controlled locker and was surprised how clean and well lit the facility was. Although my unit was on the 2nd floor, the elevator worked smoothly and there were wheeled carts available to borrow. I was impressed to find a poison control box in my storage unit too. I enjoyed how the entrance to self storage is located close to the front, rather than the back of other self storage facilities I've seen. The only small inconvenience were the steps / ledge at the loading dock for smaller/van-sized vehicles. There was not a lot of room to move large furniture and it required lifting from the van to the ledge at chest level. More room and a ramp would have been ideal, but with 2 or more people it is not a problem. Although there was a bit of a wait (Sunday) the day I moved in, all representatives were very pleasant and helpful, and the general manager was accommodating when I requested a unit on a lower floor. They were also helpful when I was unsure about what size storage locker to purchase. All in all, I had a very positive experience and an optimistic about leaving my personal belongings at this facility.

Please rent the vehicles full of gas, so they can be returned full. Asking a customer to return a vehicle with a 7/16 full gas tank is rediculous.

booked for 830, confirmed for 830, was told to wait until 9 when we got there, didnt get the van out until 940, and then they didnt have the equipment we rented, had to carry some furniture by hand without the dolly. super messy parking, no organization. Someone blocked my car, and they told me to go find the owner myself, 15 min after them telling me they would take care of it.

The service was very bad. It took 1 hr to get my rental even though it was reserved online because of multiple errors from the staff (first giving a truck that was behind other trucks, then the door being locked and then being stuck behind a pickup from a trailer). The inside was very dirty in the cabin and the rental did not drive well at all and did not feel safe.

Your computer systems are terrible and I waited for over an hour to get my deposit back because there was an issue with the computer system. Your policy regarding no deposit needed if using visa debit is not applicable in Canada.. you should state that on website/app. At least you have friendly staff.. I feel bad they are sitting under terrible florescent lights all day with no music. That's borderline torture.

Had to wait everytime I wanted to speak to the staff. No sense of urgency. The disc lock sold by uhaul broke with the key on falling to the ground, was not compensated for the same. While checking out, had to wait for almost 25 minutes to get the representative to give me the clearance. I was emailed asking to pay for the next month even after checking out. All in all, bad experience.

Truckshare 24/7 doesn't work, and you're forced to pay the convenience fee of $20 to drop off your truck after hours. I was not able to upload any photos, and it was a huge hassle to pick up the truck. We were lucky that the in-person office was open, but do not count on the app working for you.

The girl at the front desk was really pleasant and went out of her way to help us. The lady with braided her was rude, obnoxious and very unprofessional. When I asked her for help, her response was just go inside, and when I asked for where the truck was parked she just said “ you gotta go get the truck yourself towards the back and wouldn't give me directions. If I was the owner of that location I would promote the lady at the front desk and fire the other one. I like the U haul contact less experience and would definitely recommend it to a friend. I do want to know if any action has been taken asagist the employee with braided hair. If no action is taken then I will file an official complaint with the better business bureau.

In the reservation I did a week in advance through the mobile app I ordered a Dolly but when we reached the front desk the lady said there was none available. Also we couldn't use the mobile app in our Android phone to retrieve the truck. We got stuck when trying to take picture of driver so we had to go to the front desk. At the front desk everything was quick and the truck was ready to drive it. Very clean. Drop off was also easy.

Arrived in morning to pick up the trucks down asked for advice she just walked away. Maybe not her job but could have given some direction. Checked in online. Finally found the truck which was still all blocked in. She said she would unblocked the truck but never let us know it was done. Poor communication. Arrived at 8 am and never left til 9 am. So much for quick online check in.

When booking the rental from your website I requested a dolly. When I arrived at the location, they informed me that they had no dollies, and that despite my booking one on the website, they don't guarantee a dolly. I had to go purchase a dolly from Home Depot because I needed one to move a piece of 300lb furniture.

I have not left, just changed to a larger storage unit 3 floors up. I am very happy with the service. Staff are always friendly and helpful, facilities are always clean and well lit. The only thing I would like would be to have access to my storage unit later. Other than that, everything is great! Thank you

I am 6' 1" and because of a structural column, the entrance to our compartment is about 5" on a higher level, so I climb the steps, and smashed my head against the door. There should be a warning on the door, watch your head, especially because the compartments on either side have normal height doors. I went home with my face covered in blood. I am not the suing type, but I think this really needs your attention.

Original rental contract was wrong. Took a long time to determine the final details. And poor communication from staff caused me an extra 2 hours of moving time. Not happy at all. And will not recommend this site for any future business. Very very very disappointed.

Every time we went to your location he was working extremely hard and seemed to be working 2 or 3 jobs at the same time. You charge 10 dollars for after hours entry , the elevators where extremly small and the loading docks are to low or to high for pick ups . It was a total waste of my time , energy and gas . We were a long term rental (16 month) and we enquirer about long term rates - asked to speak with manager who was hard to get a hold of. Finally manager approved a 1 mnth rebate - but only if I was to call back before the next processing month. This was never processed after 2 attempts In addition I left only 1 week into my last month of rental and there was no discussion about the possibility of prorating some of the month. The unit can be clearly rented again. This was very unfortunate customer service.

Though trollies were readily available. Most definitely non acceptable customer service experience. UHaul representative was unable to provide sufficient service knowing system was down. Alternative support was poorly handled, when had access in hand to provide the help needed. In future, would never recommend working with this storage facility, though was dismayed having trusted uhaul MANY times in the past! First time storage user, this too, having declared not an avid online user, were treated as deeming an inconvenience having to aid in the first place. Positives: The storage unit met its purpose for us, the staff was friendly anytime time we interacted with them. Negatives: The access hours are inconvenient, you can’t always predict how long a move will take. I’ve written about this before to U-Haul and did not get any response. When we moved into the unit I had booked online previous but was made to go through the entire process again. I am not sure how it was possible but it too 40+ minutes, not including the time I waited in line. This cost us an extra 200+ dollars from our movers because we had to book them longer.

This was an awful experience renting the U-boxes. Very disorganized, late delivery and poor customer service. Would not recommend this service to anyone. Pay the extra money to go with another company

My only problem was trying to reach the office via phone - I was on hold for 15 minutes, only to be told computers were down and to call back in 20 mins.

Lili the manager in Toronto was very helpfull and professional. She did everything to help us and make our moving much easier. If rate 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) i will give her 10.
