There was gasoline spilled in the back of the truck. Took over 2 hours to clean it out. Windows were filthy. I had to clean them before it was safe to drive.

We scheduled a 6:00am mobile pickup which wouldn't work. So we returned when they opened at 7:00am. The man working was So Slow that he didn't get our truck rental ready until 7:45. He was completely indifferent about helping. If the mobile pickup doesn't work at a location it should have told us this ahead of time. We were almost 2 hours behind schedule because of your App and the poor service at that location.

KENNETH C.Maybe double check hubs and brake fluid for this customers looking to haul trailers long distances. We had to swap trailers because of dry rotted and mismatches tires on multiple trailers. The one we ended up with worked perfect though.
Clint S.I thought I would save your car dolly I had rented from bouncing around for two hours to be returned where I initially had requested. I stopped by your Yakima branch on first and asked your manager about returning it there instead of The Dalles. He said it was expensive and told me $200. I said that's ridiculous that's four times more than it cost me to rent the dolly. He told me with an attitude well then take it back to the place you got it. I will not go back in that location and we use your company at work. Not much longer though. A guy was rude.

There were a lot of excuses as to why the trailer size was unavailable, which I understand, but the center could have called me. I certainly left my phone number in enough places.

In addition, after reporting issues with the gas gauge on the rental truck, we were given no recourse.
Deborah S.The Uhaul representative was nice, but it seemed like his first day. It took exactly an hour to pick up a trailer that I had already reserved online, only for them to cancel the online reservation and start over. During this time the rep didn't seem to know much and had to call his manager for assistance as management wasn't on site. The online reservation also had me taking the rental back to the Portland area, but the original reservation was a 1900 mile one way trip to Missouri. When it came time to take delivery, no inspection was completed by the representative. The pictures provided of the trailer were not taken at the time of pick up, they were from a previous date as there was snow in the photos. I did an inspection and assisted with the hook up of the trailer but at least I was able to pick up the trailer, just an hour later than anticipated.

The trailer had not been cleaned on the inside since the last use, trailer was not inspected inside and out when we turn. I prefer U-Haul on West 2nd in The Dalles, the young lady there is very knowledgeable and very thorough.

The process got all the way to the point of inserting my credit card for payment and then the customer service attendant realized that the two trailers on site were not rentable due to maintenance issues. We had to start the whole checkout process over again.

david S.I really love the drive in bays for unloading. With the wind shaking my personal truck plus the rain, I would be delayed. All of the employees at uhaul are great and go above and beyond to help the customers. The experience has been nothing but good. I would ask that the uhaul company to stop advertising the totes because they are not on the computer system to be used. I had to buy my own for that reason.

KELLEY W B.I reserved a one-way tow dolly a week before I needed it on a Friday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I went in on Thursday to let them know I didn't need it until Saturday. They said no problem, we have two just sitting here ready to be used. I went in on Saturday and the manager said the one-way tow dolly was broken and he didn't have another one. We went out to see if we could fix it but the fender bar was bent into the tire. I had to have a dolly! I asked about the other one sitting g there and he said I couldn't because it was local use only. The nearest tow dolly was nearly 100 miles away. I convinced him to let me used the local and I could bring it back Monday when I would be back in town. We hooked it all up and the lights didn't work. I had to completely reword the trailer so I could have lights and use the trailer! I was there for about an hour and a half trying to get the dolly I reserved a week earlier!!! You need to take better care of your equipment and NOT overbook rentals!!!! Both dollys had been out of service for over a week but you still let me reserved something that was unusable!!!! Wasted a lot of my time!

james J.It was very snowy and icy on rental day....I had to dig out the van, clean off the windshield, and then when I arrived at destination (1 mile away) the back door was frozen shut so I got to deal with that too. The van performed quite poorly in the snow...even the slightest grade was a challenge in a parking lot...If the vans are to be rented in these conditions some sort of traction board should be supplied just to get going...

deborah d. | Premières impressionsThe facility is new so it is very well lit and clean, however the maintenance is a little suspect! The main covered cargo staging area is still not operational which is a problem since if there are multiple people picking up or dropping off things everyone is cramped into one small sliding door on the front side of the building. We had the unit for around 30 days and the covered cargo area was not functional in all that time. Luckily the rain has not started yet, but when it does the current situation will not work and i'd advise you to fix the covered cargo area before the bad weather occurs.

For example the under cover loading bay was not working which was inconvenient and the staff took a long time to find an open unit in the computer system which seemed really cumbersome. The staff were polite enough but they were a little frustrated with the antiquated computer system. This seems to be a problem at any UHAUL place. I suggest UHAUL overhaul their imputed system.
