There was some trash hiding in the cab that rolled out under my feet while driving. There was a loud odd noise at highway speed. Everything else was friendly and perfect.

This place all together made the experience with Uhaul very unprofessional and frustrating. When I went to rent the Uhaul I was informed that they had absolutely no trucks available. Then I was informed that if I could do a reservation that I could get a truck. Left the Uhaul location only to be directed right back to the same location. Told the only reason that I got the truck is because it was set up for a one way trip. Kind of forced into a 39.95 deal when I was qouted 29.95. The teuck was not on full when I left the lot it appeared to be. Brought the teuck back to where it was and was i formed that it has to be on white. When I got the truck it was in the gray area. Also made the reservation using a cc card. And had 19.99 taking out from Uhual. Then also charged $100.00 for the rental as well. Charged $1.09 a mile informed that we get at least 30 miles anything over we are charged for. So I went over 26 miles and was charged for the full amount of 56.1 miles. Came to turn truck back in and was informed that it was not full. Frustrated because it was exactly where it was when I got it. Asked if I could go back and get it filled up thinking that I had some money coming back. Once I got back on the location parking lot went to knock on the door it was 6:58, the african American had already locked the door. There was a Hispanic young man helping another customer and I asked him if he could help me. And he said not if the front door was locked. Called customer service because I truly believe that this location stole money from me and was talking with a rep and then was hung up on. Then a white guy seen my frustration and helped and he said that I owed $10.00 more dollars on top of everything else. $35.00 to fill up gas total, and 110.00 to rent a truck is absolutely insane and not even given a decent ounce of customer service. Not given a full vehicle, being told that they did not have a vehicle when in reality they did, taking a longer time out of my day. And also being told that I may have been charged an out of town rate infuriates me. Not sure if the staff felt threatened by me, however the cops were called to the location. I was very emotional and furious. Because I feel as if your company at this location stole my money. Money that I work hard for everyday. Also being told that if I did not pay then I would be charged 30.00 per day until account is satisfied. Please reach out as soon as possible if you would really like to correct the cruel way that your staff treated a customer.

I was impressed by the helpfulness of 2 associates in this location; they were the only 2 I saw 4pm Mon 7/8/2019. They carried boxes out to my car and brought out the invoice that I'd left behind. I told them they'd done more than enough. And one replied "Never enough" with sincerity to serve and help his customer. This was quite impressive. I also witnessed these 2 guys help each other when the computer crashed, quickly re-entering my order for many boxes. Thank you :)

It rained during our Tavel , when we unload the beds , the cushions were wet and the bed frame warped. I checked the trailer, it was not well sealed that’s why rain sips through. When I returned the trailer I told the employee about the leaks, she said I did not get insurance so she can not do anything about it. How would I know it will leak. So I can say your employees are not maintaining your trailers right.

I got double charged and this location REFUSED to refund the extra charge. Also, when I dropped the truck off the parking lot was so full there was barely anywhere to park the truck. Go to a different location, this one is absolutely horrible and quite honestly you'd be better off with a different company that will actually fix THEIR mistake when they double charge you. Keep looking!!!

Well for starters, have someone there who wants to be there. The guy helping me was very, very, very rude, you can tell just by the way the asshole was talking to me. He did not want to be there obviously, and this is my second time using this location, and it has changed a bit I can see. I won't use that location again I will use the other one.

When I went to make my reservation they man was great but that was the last of it. From pick up to drop off the customer service was nonexistent. It felt like I was Interrupt their day. Everything went well until I was returning the truck Travis McLaughlin was very rude and disrespectful when I asked for his name he even told me he does not and will not give it to me I had to get it off my receipt glad it was on there. He also told me he will continue to take his time to make me wait and all I wanted to know is how much longer for my return of money since they already did the return process for the truck I am very disappointed in the way I was treated at the Truman corners location my name is Natasha Williams 8166173966 and I will be reporting this to corporate. Rented trailer for 24 hours told guy if can bring back late at night or 4 in the morning drove way back to bring trailer three times to return but could not as parking lot was full could not drive in to leave had to miss Sunday pay of work to bring back at 9am then guy had nerve to say well I won't charge you for extra day ..I'm like really I miss time half Sunday pay because I could not return trailer ....this place is ridiculous

First off, I booked online and the pickup location didn't have the truck available. I had to go 15-20 miles out of my way to get the truck i needed. I asked them if they could give me a discount on the mileage rate and they said it's "not their problem" and were quite rude. It was the regional office apparantly. I also ordered some additional supplies that i needed online to be ready with my truck. They said the location would change and it would be ready at the new locaiton. When I arrived to pick up the truck the local store in Grandview MO said they did not have my additional supplies and I had to go all the way back to the original store which was agian way out of my way. So in order to get the truck and supplies i had to drive about 30 extra miles and took up an additional 2 hours of my evening and on top of it the regional office customer services said its "Not their problem" and were rude.

Counter man at check in was rude! Acted as if I was an inconvenience to him. When I had questions about the check in process he acted as if I was a stupid child. I am adult with questions. Answer them and not like I am stupid for asking!!! If you hate your job, do your customers a favor, find a new one and move on. Check in crew was pleasant.

Location set on bad spot on the street between highway and busy street, turning into location is a pain due to cars behind you from both directions. Also very limited parking available, I had to park in the section where the trucks are supposed to be cleaned.

I couldn't find a place to extend my existing contract an additional day on the website, neither desktop nor mobile version. I had to call in to the store location. This was quicker than the 1-800 number. It was fine, but restricted my request to be during business hours. The employees are very courteous.

Dolly did not have straps. Front desk assistant did not have good customer service. The drop off location I selected was not there and if it was it was very hard to find so I had to go to another one further away. I will not be using Uhaul again. There are so many other companies that will help you while wearing a smile and systems that will make returning items convenient.

When multiple people of the same ethnic group are in the store, ask if they are together, do not assume they are in the same party. Serve your customers in the order they arrive. If there are restrictions to the reservation process i.e. must have a cell phone, cannot use a debit card, must have proof of the location you are driving to...have these things posted in your service area. Have service agent explain estimated charges. Do not state it as xxx base charge & more if you exceed the mileage. State what additional mileage charges are, for example "$0.59/mile over 30 miles". The customer should not have to ask the agent for this information. Give examples of liable damages impacting the reservation. Do not just say the customer is liable for damages. Train sales clerks not to yell at customers. Learn how to manage challenges with what can be done (positive) instead of what "we don't do or you can't get"(negative). Maybe use some training scenarios with your staff & cultural training periodically. Bad service affects the company bottom line. I want you business to be successful so that it can remain in my area & be a convenience for me. You are my neighborhood U-haul store & I have used your services multiple times in the past, however, after this experience, you are no longer my "go-to" company for small moving needs. I am willing to go a little farther & pay a little more money to be treated with respect. -South Kansas City Resident for 45 years.

Your employees are the worst team of agents I ever had the displeasure of working with. I’ll be fair and say, it could be just a Missouri thing. The scheduling agent that was local in KC, spoke like she was guaranteed her job no matter how much empathy she lacked. When I lodged a complaint and her boss called back, his below average understanding of the situation led me to realize where she got her inability to do her job. When I went down to Grandview MO to pick up the uhaul, I thought I was on a hidden-camera TV show. I’m trying to be as kind as possible, but in order to relay the truth, I have to say that your reps at that store are ABSOLUTE GARBAGE of employees. While I was there, they were antagonizing customers, had 2 fights almost break out with your employees and the customers, were rude, spoke over customers and seemed to love the statement, “that’s not my problem” as I heard that probably 10x. While your agent was servicing me, he was defending his teammate (who told a customer at one point that he was the regional manager) shouting over to his teammates customers stuff like, “sir, you can get out of our store if you don’t like our policy” and “you can keep staring at me all day, you don’t scare me” then disrespectfully talking about the customer to me (with him still standing there). I was literally staring at him wondering if he was born or hatched. At one point your agent servicing me told me to pay him $30 cash to help me hook up my car to the auto transport and if I didn’t, I’d have to do it myself. Is that standard policy??? I use to be a quality consultant for a major corporation for 10 years so I’m very keen on poor customer service. This was by far, the most comical, most disgustingly terrible service I’d ever experienced in my ENTIRE life. If I were you, I’d send an investigation team down to your store undercover and watch the comedy show known as your employees. I guarantee you, you’ll be ashamed and embarrassed that they represent your company. If you care. I use to look at uhual as the trademark in moving. I would say things like, “I need to rent a uhaul truck” and not, “I need to rent a moving truck”. You’ve branded me as the industry standard. But that was before. After this experience, I will do everything in my power to use other moving companies (regardless of cost), and try to forget you even exist.

only thing i recommend is when its the end/first of the month please provide these guys with more but they did a excellent job trying to move as fast as they can with only 2 people as staff and 10 customers in line waiting. the staff handled it best and professionally as they could. so no complaints there, but get these guys a little more help. maybe while there doing the desk computer work you could have a few more guys in the back bringing the trucks up...these guys were doing both all by themselves. but again, they handled it magnificently

This was the easiest check-in, return I have ever had with any rental company. The trailer was clean, the crew hooked it up and checked it out, and the design of the trailer with heavy duty spring loaded ramp was perfect. The check-in, return crew was courteous and helpful. Totally good experience!

The transmission was going out on this old truck. I believe they(the location) gave me this truck, due to I would not except they’re high coverage rate. At about 7:10, I was attempting to come back, as I was on a hill the truck rolled and had it not been for a fire hydrant, I could have lost my life

I requested a utility dolly for the move and one was not available at the time of my rental. I would recommend the online inventory from the U-Haul website (dollies, etc.) be tied into and take account of the equipment available at the dealer, so it can be ensured that the dealer has all equipment available at the time of rental. If I would have known the dolly was not available, I would have made other arrangements. I feel the website should have told me that one wasn't available prior to me showing up.

I reserved a van through the Uhaul website. I entered my debit card and reserved the van. At no point was I informed that I have to have a major credit card. Not until I arrived to pickup the van, that is. The person who assisted me at the store was very nice and managed to get me a truck, which was much larger and more expensive than what I'd reserved, but at least he got me something. It also took about 45 minutes longer than it should have to get everything squared away because of this. If you are going to require a credit card for rental you should at least inform your customers when the place the reservation. And if you are going to require a credit card I will no longer be using Uhaul for truck rentals. I do not cary credit cards, and I will not do so in order to rent a truck from you. A+ for your rep in the store and F- for your policy and the fact that you didn't inform me beforehand.

I have to admit, I was surprised and very happy with my experience. The last time we rented a Uhaul was to move from San Francisco to KC. The truck’s has gauge didn’t work and we ran out of gas in Nevada. With a dog. Pulling a car on a trailer. This time we were only moving our youngest in town. The truck was clean and the employees could not have been more helpful and nice. Definitely going to use Uhaul again at this location for all kinds of things rather than tying things to the roof of suvs and making numerous trips. Please pass this on to that location’s manager - well done!

Associates at the store were very snappy and acted like they had better things to do than take care of my appointment: blamed everything on corporate, even though I made the appointment two weeks prior. Also, when I got home I realized when they installed the wiring harness, they lost a pin to my trim piece, so now my trim piece on the back of my trunk won’t stay put. Definitely will go out of my way to go to another location on my next need!

The truck had a water leak which soaked my king size mattress. I’ll be filing a claim on Monday the 6th of May. The truck must have leaked before so I’m wondering why it hadn’t been fixed?

Customer service was horrible. From beginning to end. Was greeted with an attitude, short demands rather than polite sentences. Then the associate proceeds to lecture me on proper trailer wiring and that I should have my equipment in better condition before trying to rent from uhaul. The whole experience was absolutely uncalled for. Will not be returning to this location ever again.

I use this location my sister had a jeep and the trailer he hook up was to big for her vehicle, she ask for a smaller one she use that before on her jeep works fine. He said they all rented out so he hook us up I drove out the lot and brought it right back it wasn't right for her transmissions he still charge us for 10 minutes. I call customers service I had a bad experience before from them when I rented 19.99 small truck put 100.00 didn't even get a refund drove to 31st to Raytown and Bannister and back to Uhaul I went over on a 19.99. Small truck this location is a ripped off when it comes to women. That's why I use Grandview Uhaul went to Raytown back to Grandview in a bigger truck at least I did get some of my deposit back. Women be aware when getting a truck or trailer from this location. I told him he should know better she did not have a F150 for that trailer

Was turned away after making a reservation due to my license being from the neighboring state. Drove to the other state and was unable yo get a truck there due to not reserving at that site but let the people know what had happened. He called them and told them it was okay to rent me a truck. Then drove back and waited 5 to 10 min to be helped but was treated like I was a bother and when I dropped off similar situation.

The trailer was dirty when we picked it up with debris on the bed. It took a long time to get it checked out as well. When I returned the trailer I waited outside like the sign says for 20 minutes. I finally went in and it was still another 10. When I finally got someone to help me he was clueless. Didn't even know how to unhook the trailer and this process took an addtional 20 minutes which in turn made me very late for my next appointment. Run dont walk from this place. There are other locations that are much better.

Rude CSR’s, website did not show balance due so I paid a late fee, and it is greedy to not offer prorated refunds to people who are moving . I will do everything in my power to never use uhual again.
