accurate estimates of installation time would be nice. Was told to arrive a little after noon and it would take 1/2 hr to 1 hr and I could wait for it. First of all-no good place to wait, so I walked a 1/4 mile for lunch and came back after an hour. a full 1 1/2 hours after that for a total of 2 1/2 hours the hitch was finally on.KATHERINE R.

This uhaul store is trying to perpetrate a major case of fraud against me. I checked out one of their cargo vans for a simple move of some boxes from a motel to a storage rental facility (not one of theirs) all within the boundaries of two connecting neighborhoods in South Kansas City, MO. The total round trip was five miles or less. I returned the van shortly after the store closed on the evening of the same day I rented it. They are trying to scalp me for a very inflated daily rental fee, the mileage, (they came up with a round trip of over 100 miles, which means someone else took this van to who knows where) and gasoline charges of almost 30 $. These people are liars and thieves, and are trying to foist someone else's illegitimate charges on me-- I'm assuming they think they will put the charges on my debit card and I will be none the wiser. And oh, by the way, I told them that their after hours check in procedure is like some idiotic homework assignment. Avoid this pack of con artists at all cost.Gary R.

We were rented a damaged vehicle without a vehicle checklist prior to leaving. My wife and I needed to move into our new house so a lot of moving parts were involved. The truck had a busted front right bumper and the right front wheel would rub onto that bumper during a left turn. I didn't notice until we had the vehicle for 20 minutes already and our move was underway. So we just used the truck instead of calling to complain because we only had our moving helpers for 3 hours!BERT S.

Only problem occurred at Kenesaw,GA where we stopped for a minor repair at a major dealer. When we arrived I was questioned why I was there. I said we had a problem with the trailer. He again asked why I was there. I said, because he was a U-Haul dealer and I had a problem. He said, do I look like a mechanic? The truck was not clean. DEFINITELY not sanitized!!! Appeared to be soda splattered on the ceiling in the cab. Ashes, etc in the cup holder and on the floor. This location NEVER cleans the vehicles. I've rented multiple times, and always complain of the same issue. That's how I know I'm wasting my time writing this!ANGELA M.

The process of booking was horrible. The customer service reps were unaware of what the stores were doing, the stores were giving out inaccurate information, and the main UHaul customer service line was rude, combative and patronizing. The store was difficult to get into and out of, and our furniture dolly was left off the truck causing us to have to return to pick it up delaying our move.Lucas D.

26ft van had a major vibration coming from the left front wheel. 50 mph caused steering wheel vibration to the extent of being a safety hazard. If this wouldn't have been a short in town move I would have returned it unexceptable. Need more staffing. Waited in line for at least 35 minutes for a lady who disputing a charge from 6 months ago. Not happy with my first experience because when I had to check the truck back in after hours the process was made where I couldn't complete it. When I had to put in the mileage it told me that I put in a mileage that was lower than before which is not possible. Also when I try to get customer service to help my situation my wait time was 63min and no help was offered. Now I will have to pay a 20 $fee because I wasn't able to check in the vechicle properly.HUNTER F.

Personnel did not greet us when we walked in. The truck was dirty with crumbs on the inside drivers floor and the middle console. We had the truck a total of about 2,5 hours and did not eat in it. The outside was also dirty as if it had been driven across country. I should not have been charged a cleaning fee since it wasn't clean to begin with.Ebony H.

We ordered one appliance dolly and two other dollies. We were not told they didn't have any until we got there. They have apparently known for weeks that they are out of them and have them on order, but it's kind of a big deal to no tell someone that is relying on them until the moment you are needing them. We could have rented the dollys elsewhere if we knew in advance. Also the truck was filthy and had needles from whom ever used it before. An alarm was broken so the entire time we drove it it made an internal buzzing that the store said to ignore. It was nice that they threw in the pad rental for free.MATTHEW S.

I was disappointed at the database. I uploaded driver's license images from home computer when I made advanced reservations but it was required at checkout. My cell phone wouldn't allow it but they good gents took good car of me anyway. The folks here are always great.Robert C.

1. While making the reservation I requested to drop off the truck at a different location, however who ever confirmed the reservation did not do this. When I picked up the truck I was first told by a dishonest young man that if I only took the truck one way it would cost an additional 1 000 $which was then changed to 800 $and when I requested a print out showing that, it was changed to 300 $. 2 strikes against uhaul and I'm not in the truck yet. 2. Driving down the road and the drivers side mirror falls out. After picking it up and continuing I realize how extremely difficult and UNSAFE it is driving a vehicle when you can't see your blind spot or behind you. 3. When making my reservation I requested an appliance dolly. None were available upon pickup. This happens everytime I use uhaul. Do you only have 3 or 4 of them?
Make sure there is air in the tires before releasing. The minute I put key in ignition. Message on dash read â€œleft rear tire needed airâ€. I went back in and told staff who said they could not put air in it (Sunday)â€¦suggested I go to QuikTrip for free air.De Tonya C.

The only thing that was difficult is â€¦ a staff member called in sick. So the guy at the desk was running behind. It took me about an hour to check in, instead of my expected 5 minutes. And I had done everything online EXCEPT check in, including Drivers license photo and paying. There was NO way for me to get into the reservation and change it to â€˜check in outside'. I suggest that the company add that feature to the app. That saidâ€¦ next time I will complete check in onlineâ€¦ just in case. But I must praise the guys working. I got the 29 $a day 15 ft U-HAUL. The ride was bumpy and the gears seemed to shift more than I expected, especially in the hilly, up and down route I was on. The personnel and the store were fantastic, and the getting and returning the U-HAUL were smooth and in good timing. I would recommend this Store to anyone.Marie D.

A worker came over and was speaking to the guy hooking up my trailer, about how he didn't like the fact that one had to have a drivers license to drive the UHAUL vehicles in the property. Probably shouldn't let a customer hear u complaining and instead of complaining, get ur license, you're grown! The owner of this location, identifies by the name tag, was wonderful. The Red Bridge U-Haul avoid. Employee opened store 10 minutes late, my truck wasn't turned in, I had hired men in the parking lot waiting & paid by the hour. The guy had knowledge the night before the truck wouldn't be there & failed to call me to let me know. The woman working for U-Haul on the phone went the extra mile.Going to NKC for a truck at 2 $a mile out of the question. I left upset. Shortly after I get a call & Grandview on Blue Ridge had one just turned in, not even filled with gas yet, but a lifeline. They were so nice & wonderful!
