Minimum requirements A functional working lift jack on the front of the trailer to load it on the hitch and working lights would be nice... I don’t know who does your hiring but it is a joke. You guys Need a major improvement in Customer service department.. one young lady working there on the other hand was apologetic and nice About the situation...The manager and everybody else not so much... Didn’t think I was asking for much a working Jack and working lights on the trailer rental from a major company

I was told my U Box containers couldn’t be delivered on a dirt road even though every single employee in the store told me that they had never heard that before. I had to pick up each box individually. I was told I could use two different trucks so that I could pick up two boxes at once. I was called back later and told that I could only use one truck, and it had to be the same truck, to pick up each individual U Box. When I dropped off my first container and attempted to get the second, it was not ready to go as we had been told it would be. We had to wait outside while the employee moved other U Boxes around to get one out for us. Lastly, the dates for shipping kept changing. I was told if I dropped ALL my U Boxes off by Monday, June 17, they would ship on the 18th. I returned the final trailer on June 17, only to be told it would not ship until June 21 because I had to have everything returned by June 14. This was an INCREDIBLY frustrating experience that exacerbated an already stressful move. Your goal should be to make people’s moves easier. I will definitely not be recommending this Uhaul location.

I don’t usually leave reviews but renting from this place was crazy. The way they run things over there is pretty ridiculous! Why do I gotta check for damages all over the truck?? The truck had so many damages and ur suppose to check them and I think if u don’t notice something from before they try to say you did it?? Is that a scam or what?! Never again go to budget they will never do that. Uhaul is a joke maybe you guys should change your policy because it’s ridiculous....

I paid for a furniture dolly and it wasn’t in the truck. I had to go back up there to get one, and was told the guy who helped me put one in thereI! How when he didn’t even come out to the truck and yes this was a reserved truck and dolly! I got my dolly! I told them I was doing a oneway they gave me 33 miles. I told them I wanted to drop off in the city I was moving to they booked my return 12 miles away instead of the place that was less then a mile from me! I got to the place I thought I was returning to with no miles to spare I had to wait there a hour to speak to someone in customer service to get everything straightened out! I will use Uhaul again but not the Lorene Dr location!

Customer service is poor. They do not great you when you enter or make you feel welcome. No point in pre registering on the app because it takes 20-30 minutes in the office. While we were being helped, another customer asked if the propane was self serve. The clerk said no and thought that customer walked out and made a comment to another employee via their ear piece and the customer was still in the store. We were given a truck on empty for fuel and the manager told us the fuel is on empty. We didn't even make it to the nearest gas station. As we pulled in the truck shut off and coasted in the parking lot. We had to buy a gas can in order to put fuel. I went back to the location and explained what happened and was told put more full, there was no concern or empathy. This incident turned into 2.5 hours of missed work, fustration and a set back with our move. The only employee who was nice or customer friendly was the gentleman who assisted us when we returned the truck. I will not return or refer anyone and i will be contacting corporate.

I was quoted 2.8 hours to do the installation. It took 90 minutes and I was still charged for the 2.8 hours. I'm not sure what kind of math U-Haul uses, but 90 minutes does not equate to 168 minutes. It's all about the profits and not about treating the customer honestly.

The gentleman who helped me had to enter my information 4 or 5 times. Then when he came outside to hook up the 5×8 trailer. He did the same thing. He hooked up the wrong trailer. He grabed another trailer placed on my van then he ask me can i see your contract and he had the wrong trailer again. Very frustrated very.....

This is the third time that they don't have the quick check-in app process in place. I waited over an hour. Last time they vehicles weren't even fueled up. I don't know if they're under-staffed or they don't give priority to the online reservations, but something needs to change at this location. The customer service guy was polite, and I understand that maybe it's not his fault but management needs to fix this.

Managers should be more helpful and courteous. Sonia the worker at Uhaul was very helpful and on top of her job, well the morning shift manager had me stand around waiting on her to help me. Then I had to drive from one Uhaul location to drop off my truck to find out it was closed so I had to drive back to Lorene Dr again to leave truck. When I told the person in Fullerton Ca it was a one way truck Victorville Uhaul on Larene Dr. So I wasted more gas and added more mileage, what cost me more money and time.

It appears the site has constant gas thief’s siphoning the trucks dry. I picked it up on empty and when I dropped the unit off after hours there were multiple units with open gas caps and a hose on the ground that smelled of gas. When my spouse retuned the keys the unit we used also had the tank open and empty. Locking gas caps?

For a corporate location there needs to be more than one person on site. Had to wait several minutes to be able to drop off the trailer. One person in the office and the same to move three trucks sitting in the drive. Then got stuck behind other trucks trying to leave

Please post your hours in the drop off area. I waited for a half hour because I thought someone was helping the person in front of me. But the location hadn’t actually opened yet. There were 3 people returning trucks/equipment and we were all confused about the time of check-in. If you rent a truck at 8 am on Saturday and the location isn’t open until 9 on Sunday, is it late if you’re not there at 8? This should be explained upon rental.

Hire more workers. I checked in online and still had to wait an hour and then had to fill out everything all over again at the front desk. I was given the keys and the guy didn’t even check mileage or anything to see where the mileage was before I left. And when I returned the car, I asked A staff member if I needed to wait in line or if I could do it online with my phone since I wasn’t able to check in I thought I had to return the car in person and he told me to wait in line and then after waiting for 30 minutes, another representative told me to go outside and wait for someone to return it. This whole rental waiting process took longer then the actual time I needed the van.

Replace the guy that spent too long helping people that didn’t even rent anything and then wasn’t going to rent to me until he looked for my reservation because too close to closing and said he had none.. Gave me a truck way below empty. Didn’t matter if I had questions, he was gone before me. I reserved a Cargo Van, but took the 10’ truck, since no cargo vans. Got nothing moved out of my storage because the truck is not equipped with a helper place to put your hand on the drivers side to help yourself get in. I am disabled. Hurt myself the first time I got in the truck because employee was so rude and I was aggravated. The money was spent and I got nothing done, especially because the stress of getting in the truck to drive and having hurt myself first time I did.

First off, I reserved online. The next day my truck was not ready, then there was no gas. I got the truck on empty, had to rush to the gas station. While loading the light in the carrier did not work. Worst of all I returned the truck with a quarter tank of gas,( I had no gas to start with and didn’t wanna make a second trip to the gas stations) called to discuss and the sales person said it was on empty when I guarantee it was not. Oh the odometer did not work, I had to give an estimate in miles, and about 10 miles under I came back. They said they have to check in to it. I kept track of my miles and distance traveled through my phone. All in all, horrible service.

Uhaul was very dirty inside like it was never cleaned since the beginning of time. Tires were partially flat, not up to par. Uhaul truck needs a tune up or something as the truck that i received was dangerous at times to drive. Not a good overall experience at all!

The General Manager Sonya, was very rude and disrespectful in handling a request to refund my monies, due to the fact I was unable to use the unit rented. She lied and said "they do not give refunds", when corporate stated it was at the managers discretion. The store employee lied and said my card was charged when we left the store, when the fact is that, there is a hold placed on your card, you have the option to pay as you choose upon return. She, Sonya, lied and said "the employee was told by my husband to charge my card", and that too was not true, he had cash to pay if they didn't give us a refund, which she had the power to do. After all the going back and forth, She, Sonya hung the phone up in my face, and refused to answer when I called to get her last name to report the incident to her superior....such poor management skills! That's why we have upper management, which is very much aware of this story....This is not the first incident with this store...but definitely my the last.

Long wait time (25+ minutes). I rented the truck for 22 miles and was subject to a 63$ refuel fee. (Great way to alienate customers). Decided to spend 20 minutes refueling 2 gallons of fuel. Employees asked me to perform a part of their job function (testing vehicle lights, etc). Uhaul going down the tubes.

The return process was kind of a mess. I guess people just drove in to the vehicle return lane, parked their rental truck and walked away. To drop off our auto transport we had a fairly long wait and then had to drive around to the exit and back into the drop off point, which was also clogged with trucks on the side and trailers in the narrow lane. But overall, we like this location because it has a nice supply of equipment.

U haul truck ran out of gas while picking up at their location. Also, they need more help too. I used the uhaul app and it was a waste of time as had to enter the information again upon arrival. When arriving at the drop off location, it shows zero miles out? It also showed the gas at just under 1/2 when it was actually on empty.

NEVER USE UHAUL!!!! My car broke down on the 40 freeway right near Barstow, CA and I needed to rent a trailer to tow it back to Lake Havasu City, AZ – 2.5 hrs away. The Barstow location had no trailers available, the next closest city was Victorville, CA – 40 minutes away. I called in and left my info so when my friend's wife could call in and give her husband's info, apparently the agents don't know how to save reports. After dealing with three different agents trying to reserve a trailer, one agent kept trying to send my friend out even further – Hesperia, Fontina (no where near the 40) and even Riverside (45 minutes from LA!). Frustrated, I hung up and cooled down before calling back. I got another agent that FINALLY got a reservation, but the trailer had to be picked up in Victorville. Two minutes after making this reservation, I got a call back that my friend would have to pick up the trailer in Hesperia, CA (3.5 hrs from LHC, AZ). When my friend got there, the place was closed and no trailers were in sight. Not happy, I called back and complained about what happened, and spoke to another agent that said there were two trailers in Victorville and one in Barstow – I was told neither location had them when I called the first time. Since my friend had to drive through Victorville to come get me and my car in Barstow, I reserved one. Five minutes before the Victorville location closes, someone calls me to let me know that they are closing and I demand that they better stay open bc my friend was driving from Hesperia to pick up this trailer to come get me and my car from Barstow – I was in Barstow at 11:30 am and it was now going on 8pm! A few minutes later my friend showed up and the guy called me back for my car info and about charges and I said that for this entire hassle that I've had to deal with all day because you guys can't do your job I shouldn't have to pay! I told him to get the trailer and my friend's truck so he could come get me and my car and I don't care what it takes – just get it done!!! My friend FINALLY arrived in Barstow, CA at 10:45 pm – he left LHC at 3pm!!! NEVER RENT FROM UHAUL!!!!! THEY LIE TO YOU ABOUT HAVING WHAT YOU NEED AND THEN MAKE YOU DRIVE HOURS OUT OF YOUR WAY TO GET WHAT YOU RESERVED AND THEN CHANGE EVERYTHING ON YOU. This location needs to print out a map of AZ/CA from the 40 and 10 freeways, mark the Uhaul locations and understand the driving distance between locations. When you drive from AZ to CA or vice versa...you will be driving in desert conditions with no plans to stop or pee. Some distances are at least an hour or longer between points. Uhaul has the worst service ever and the next time I need to rent a truck or trailer, I'll be using Budget or Penske.

I think this location need help staffing employees. I arrived @7:10am...with a 7am appt and immediately when I arrived I was greeted with a sign on the door that customer service was on the lot. The note was very pleasant and polite...evem left a phone number to reach them while they were on the lot...(checking in truck rental returns) but when I called...it was a personal cell phone that went directly to voicemail. But when I finally got some help...the staff double teamed me with EXCELLENT customer service. I had a issue with my tail light not working...and a employee advised me that I would be able to leave with the rental trailer if my lights didnt wprk properly. Safety is #1 at this location and i was happy about that. The rep went above and beyond to check all of my fuses related to the turn signal. And when all of my fuses were not blown, the rep offered an adapter piece to plug up the trailer. I was able to purchase the adapter in the parking lot with the swipe of my car...amd the rep went inside and grabbed it for me. Most people don't habe this kind of energy this early in the morning. I hope this location gets the staffing help they need. Regardless of being short staffed...the employees at this location picked up the slack in a huge way...and still managed to get other customers checked in and taken care of. BIG KUDOS. I don't always move or need rental equipment...but I will definitely refer everyone that ask.

I reserved the truck online. We got to the location and we couldn't get the truck as we were not receiving the instructions to do so. I called CS and I was on hold for 30 min so I decided. We spoke to one of the people there and he said, he will help but really waited until the store opened at 9 am. We have been there since 8 am. When we finally got in he scolded us on why the online reservation didnt work. Then asked for four references. What if I didnt have four people to provide, will I be able to rent anything. It is ridiculous.

customer service was excellent fast and friendly. Young Lady knew her job well and got me in and out very quickly. Did everything over my phone in 5 min.

There was a cashier there named Sonya that wasn’t directly rude, just a generally rude attitude. I was behind a couple in line that wanted to rent a trailer at this location and return somewhere else, before they could finish saying what they wanted Sonya cut them off by saying, “not worth it.” So The couple ended up renting it for two days and having to return it to this location. Then when it came to my turn, the credit card panel said $237 and I asked why and she responded it will only charge $137. I explained to her that I understood what she was saying, but I wanted to make sure, that I was not in fact going to be charged that extra $100 for a deposit. The way she was explaining things to me was very demeaning and made me feel inferior and incompetent.

Called 800#, reserved dolly at one location I showed up and they didnt have it so I had to drive to second location. Called 800# again, to make a change to the reservation, on hold for 20 minutes, listening to recording telling me that you can make changes online, go to website and all it says for changes call 800#, someone needs to update that recording!!!! terrible overall service! Hope to never need them again!
