Furniture pads were not present. Truck had less fuel than claimed. Truck was parked close enough to another as to be impossible to open front doors.

Customer service was sub par, the employee who attended to me when starting the rental process was visibly annoyed at having to help a customer, up to and including making sarcastic comments about the way I requested to rent a motorcycle trailer, rolling her eyes in distain at my phone number, and a general lack of professionalism (arguing with a CO worker in front of customers regarding her unnecessary comments), upon checking equipment out the trailer had it's right rear light out, and the gate was bent to the point the latch pin had to be beaten in place, upon return I had to unhook and park the trailer for the yard guy who was obviously over worked and under staffed, entire rental process was frustrating,

Initial rental clerks were rude, unaware of details like "tax exempt" rentals. Chided me for "being late" when I reserved for "Afternoon pickup" (came in a 1330h). Basically threw the key at me and told me where to go find it. Return agent was only slightly better, also never heard of "Tax Exempt" rentals by State agencies. I did not want to wait for an hour while they attempted communication with "headquarters" as they got on indefinite "hold" and said I should fight about the tax exempt with home office. The vehicle however was excellent (<20 000 miles), drove well, perfect physical structure with low bed and many doors.

Had truck that needed maintenance....had barely a quarter tank of gas, had a drivers side mirror that would not hold its position for safe operation and rear drivers side tire had low pressure alert . I was charged 99 cents a mile, plus $30 fuel surcharge, which was disappointing! Likely not to ever use this uhaul again樂 Because I didn't take a picture of gas gage, I guess I'm just SOL....which is sad!

The location was understaffed and chaoitic. I was supposed to be able to pick up my keys at a lock box but had to go inside. I was prompted on the app to just go to the side of the counter but there were so many people that the one person behind the counter couldn't have stepped away to help me out of order of the line

Called to tell them your website doesn't work and kept on timing me out of the server when I tried returning the truck online. Called to ask if I was going to get charged for that, they said no but I still got the charge. I would like that fee money back. Fix your website , otherwise I'm not the only one getting legally scammed.

Make sure the truck is in the lot and maybe you should have parking in the lot because I got a 35 parking ticket on the street and there are no signs saying 2 hour parking so the truck cost me a lot more money than I had planned on spending thanks alot U Haul

The person that we spoke to on the phone did not tell us that we need a hitch and have to buy and when we ask about different truck with a hitch they said we could not rent it and I was charged 138,72 extra that they said it was a hold and they already charged me for the mileage I want my money back!!!!!!!

Beware stay clear of Manley Movers 1. Showed up over an hour late. 2. Left during the move to pick up his brother from the airport. 3. Mover Said I owe him a $100 For overtime and he had to have cash, sent it to him thru cash app. 4. Broke my electric recliner sofa. 5. Told me to send him the bills and he would refund me but by parts being delayed I still don't have the part but I have the order receipt and the cost for service repair. Sent him the paperwork and he said since its been so long that now this is not his problem. 6. He refunded me my 100 dollars the same day I moved. When I sent him the bill he said he already paid me for the repairs, take that $100 good luck and for me to stop texting him. 7. From the Movers to the Management they're guilty of "Taking advantage of a mobility disabled senior citizen". Even after I try to help this young man get his business started by promising I wouldn't post a bad review as long as he took care of his obligations. He screwed me anyway. I moved in September and still I don't have the ordered part. probably sitting on a ship.

I've been renting from this location 10 years. And never had I experienced such disrespect from customer service/truck rental. 1st, the truck smelled so heavy of body odor had to drive with window down in cold temperatures. I have always parked in the lot at front of store. In fact your reps told me just last month when rented in March to do so because of car theft on street. The Rep who checked me in screams i cant park there and if i do Manager will have my car towed?! I said ive always parked there? And there wasnt any sign posted saying No Parking!? And the gas gage. Either broken or???? Rep at counter marked 15/16 full but in actual was close to 3/4s full? The gage kept moving back and forth as soon as I left Uhaul. The gage at complete stop 3 miles from uhaul stopped at 3/4. Nothing I could do I was enroute. Upon filling tank keeping eye on gage while filling (had truck on) the gage went completely over 15/16 full when i put car in drive? But upon when in park and on it read different?e. Upon returning truck told rep same guy who checked me in what happened he said without even looking at me "NO REFUNDS" if over. And that's not true because I can't find that written. So I ended up paying more for a broken gage. The rep at counter was rude and impolite. And your truck was a disgrace. I don't want to read into why gage was moving around, but hope it was a one time occurrence. Want to believe Uhaul isn't Gas Gouging.

Yard staff mumbled and had pants down below his butt. Nothing to do with this location, but my reservation was moved from Kenosha which added nearly two hours round-trip to my pickup. Disappointing, but I understand that late returns are beyond Uhaul's control. The Uhaul rep that called to tell me was short on the phone. When I asked if there were any larger trailers available locally, she replied, "No, if there were, I would have offered that." A simple, "No, sorry, I already checked that and unfortunately there are none available." would have come off less snarky. I was also disappointed that there was no discount (even small) offered as a gesture for the extra travel required to pick up the trailer.

All employees were helpful and friendly. The only problem I had was you have no access to your storage after 10 p.m., which I found a bit inconvenient. Over all good service. Clean facility.

There was no onsite parking. I was not told that I would be charged for a 2nd day if I did not bring the van back within my estimated time. There were 50 extra vans in the lot, yet there was a charge for a 2nd day because my estimation was off by 45 minutes. I had to ask for them to remove the 2nd day's charge. THAT is not very kind service.

First, our designated building had no carts for us to use. Second, The staff gave me a unit that already had a lock placed on it. I called for help, waited 20 mins, but was on a tight schedule so went to start moving things in. They left because "no one was there" - we called them to come back and remove the lock, while we waited we everything into that unit. When they finally arrived, they said they couldnt help me. She gave me the wrong unit and I needed to move everything to a new unit and n a completely different building. This not only made the already stressful moving experience more stressful, but it wasted about 2 hours of our time and energy because of the staff error and lack of attention to the issue when it occurred. For the trouble of moving everything a SECOND time, they said they would give me a free month of rent and we agreed. When I went to verify the free month they said they will actually only give me 20 % off, but couldn't verify that this actually happened. Overall, very poor service and attention to detail. I can't confirm if I have actually received anything back for the issues but I wanted to communicate to this to hopefully avoid this issue for anyone else. After already moving into a unit, it is unacceptable to make someone move again. The issue should have been caught and remedied immediately, hopefully it will for future patrons! After I move out I will likely not recommend this to anyone else

After the paperwork is complete, they seen you outside to basically find the vehicle you're renting. This particular day it was raining. Trucks are parked so close together that I had to enter it on the passenger side. Had to pull the mirror in to keep from hitting the truck next to me when I was backing out. Why don't they have someone bringing the trucks up to the front of the building?

I was called to change my reservation to this location because a 26ft truck was not available. I confirmed with the lady I spoke with that it was a one way trip and she said yes but when I got to the place they said it was an in town move and that's not what the lady told me. So I ended up having to bring it back to the same location. When I got the truck it was at a 1/4 tank of gas. Why would you give the truck out with that little bit of gas? The truck needs a wheel alignment. Then when I got to my location I discovered that that grandmas attic was completely dirty up too something that was said to be clean after I had looked into the floor.Then when I came back the night crew was ghetto. I told them that I could not open the lock to the back of the truck and that if they could please open it so that I could make sure that the back was clean and clean it with the things I brought in the car. First thing that happened was the guy snatched my paperwork out my hand and said you will get a receipt when we are done inspecting it. I came in very politely and this was the attitude I received. I snatched my paperwork back and Then I explained that I can't get in the back I need you to get the lock off so that I can clean it to which they replied “well we can't just clean it for free.” I replied I'm not asking you to clean it. I just said I have stuff to clean it. The other guy there said well you can't just sweep the stuff on our floor, to which I replied I just said I have stuff to clean it I don't clean by sweeping things on the floor. Then the guy brought the truck into the shop area and proceeded to try to unlock the lock. He left the truck running so I went in the truck and turned it off and was like I just filled it back to the 1/4 your not going to charge me for using the gas because you left it running. He had an attitude. Then he opened the back up and it was clean so he said don't worry about your good. But I noticed the dolly had fallen off the clamp and the zip tie broken. I didn't use the dolly at all I had no need for it. So I hope I'm not charged for that. I told him I didn't use the dolly. I didn't rent one. Overall the experience was bad. The good part was the morning crew I picked it up from was polite and understood my frustration as I expressed to him that it was not his fault but Was disappointed that the lady did not fix the problem of the in town rental when I had asked her too. So no I will not be recommending uhaul to anyone. I will most likely go with another company next time.

When we picked up the truck, it was in great condition, with one exception. The cabin reeked with cigarette smoke. We're non smokers and it was very unpleasant to come into that. Other than that, staff and equipment are always great. And we will be back every time we need to rent equipment. Merci

The facility didn't seem to be very clean. We visited our storage unit several times within two weeks and the same garbage that was laying there when we got there was still laying there outside the storage facility when we left. Also at the doorway there seemed to be an accumulation of a lot of garbage people might've just left there. My husband said the bathrooms were disgusting. I never visited them

The storage Drop off area was full of garbage (food) items people leaving things behind. My husband said the bathroom was disgusting. I opted not to use bathroom.

I've rented from Uhaul for every single move. This was the first year that I experienced such poor customer service. From the truck I had requested not being available day of (and the staff struggling to think of a solution for over half an hour) to my storage room move out not being processed for over a month. I was sent emails and mail threatening to put a lien on property in the storage unit despite moving out on the 11th of November. I tried calling the Walker's Point location multiple times and was always redirected to the Corporate number. Customer service reps for Corporate sent the Walker's Point location emails to tell them to get in contact with me, but they never did. Finally, I got a final bill yesterday reflecting my move out within the free month, no mention of late fees or anything. I assume it is because the staff finally took the time to actually go to my unit and see that it was cleaned out and empty. I will not be using Uhaul in Milwaukee for future moves. The only good thing you have going for you is being cheaper, but I would gladly pay more money to avoid the headaches I experienced this time around.

Staff is very unprofessional. Don't talk to your customers like they are your friends. Be compassionate when someone presents a problem to you, instead of acting annoyed that you have to follow up, respond to customers emails in a timely manner, allow customers to call the actual store itself if they need support. Found a roach on my belongings (how often are you exterminating?) Also, was charged for the month of December even thought my belongings were removed before the end of November. Spoke to the manager who said he would take care of it, still waiting for my refund…Just overall a ghetto experience. Would NEVER recommend anyone to this facility, nor will I be returning.

It was overall ok... At the beginning the staff made a lot of mistakes with the account and personal information but after several tries, it was fixed. Also, the bathrooms at the storage were always dirty and the drop off area. Everything else was ok.

Getting the truck was fine, but the storeage location was a problem. 1st they rented me a store that was already rented. I didn't find out til we were there with a truck full and couldn't unload. Then they switched the rooms but I had to get a smaller room. From 10x15 to 10x10. Then I go with 2nd load and the card doesn't work on it's after hours so I had to keep the truck overnight for another night to have the card fixed so I can get into unload the truck. More fees for me. And 3 nights to move what should have been 4 hours.

I had to upgrade my original reservation to a larger unit to store my belongings. When I got to my larger unit, there was a massive pillar in it which takes up a great deal of space that I needed. I didn't have the time or energy to go back and change units AGAIN as I was on a time limit to get things done. So I'm rather displeased that I have a huge pillar taking up the space I needed for storage.

My storage units got wet due to rain. Still haven't heard back from the manager before I left the state. My furniture was damaged due to 2 out of 3 of my storage units being wet in August after the rain. Filed a insurance claim with RepWest and the claim was closed due to no response from Joey. I would love to have furniture in my new home. My couches were ruined, my television, washer and dryer.

I reserved a certain storage unit in Advance, When it was time to put my belongings in storage, My size unit was no longer available. I was offered two mini units because nothing else was available. There for, I had to go across town to a different location that was more expensive as well. The fact that I traveled across town, would mean, I'm paying more for milage and gas as well. I'm very disappointed that uhaul scam there customers with inconvenience.

I just got done moving to Milwaukee with my rented UHaul truck. When I arrived the front desk setup my access key to the wrong building so I had to go back to the front desk to get the correct access key for my storage unit building. As I open my storage unit there is no lock in there so I had to go back up to the front again to get the lock. In the process I received an email my reservation was canceled. When everything was moved into the unit, I dropped off the truck with a gentleman working with the UHaul drop offs. A couple days later I don't see a hold on my card or any money taken out for my UHaul truck. My order was cancelled so I'm dealing with that.

The people we spoke with were very helpful but the office hours of only being open until 7 pm were very inconvienient as we had been packing all day and showed up to check in 10 min before close. My experience was also poor as the key card I was given after checking it, when swiped to open the door, gave the message "not valid please check in" or something like that...right after I had checked in about 20 min previous. We got lucky and someone walked out and we went in and when opening my storage unit an alarm went off probably because the system didn't know we were in there. Lastly, turning in the truck was an absolute pain because there was no obvious area on the website to turn in the truck as we were there after store hours. I watched your informational video and the "return your truck" button was no where to be found. My girlfriend eventually figured it out but this was after about 45 min of googling things and attempting to call the help line only to be on hold the entire time. The whole experience was terrible and I am also fairly sure I was charged twice for the truck because when turning it in I had to put in my card information again for some random unknown $71 charge after already paying $62 to innitially rent the truck. This payment has yet to show up on a bank statement so I am unsure if it has gone through but if it does there will be an angry phone call. Overall the customer service was amazing and the people were extremely nice and very helpful and made the rental process very easy, but nearly every other part of the experience was ridiculously stressful.

My storage experience was good however I felt the access system with the card was faulty. I had difficulties swiping my card and would have to swipe several times. The day of my check out I swiped to check in but when I got to my unit my alarm kept going off. Not very good for my anxiety.

This facility has went down hill over last 2 years. The staff used to be helpful and knowledgeable which is no longer the case. The manager is still actually helpful and knows what is going on however. When I moved in initially I had reserved a second floor unit. On day of move in with a 21 foot truck of household items, the only elevator was inaccessible as it was being painted, majority inconvenient. The manager did help me find a unit on first floor at higher cost. The facility alarm system constantly went off anytime I would access my unit. Initially the badge reader never worked so I was given a PIN number for access.. however it appears the alarm system had issues this spring and would constantly be going off when accessing unit. I tried calling office however no one answered. I pushed the call box and no one responded, it was literally a ghost town. So I can not say the place was secure during this time as no one responded and the alarms just kept sounding. It seems like alarm system now works properly and disarms again while I was moving out in June. I did mobile check out but also confirmed with staff upon leaving because it seems like Uhaul mobile apps do not work as intended. My unit was not processed as moved out until 4 days later.

I went to the location at 1500 South 1st Street on Tuesday May 18th to reserve a storage unit. When I got there on Friday at 6:30 PM with movers who were ready to unload their truck, I was told that there was no record of me in the U-Haul system, and the size unit I needed was unavailable. I ended up having to take a unit at the 611 West Puetz location in Oak Creek. Not ideal, but better than nothing. This delay resulted in the movers going into overtime and leaving with all of my belongings on their truck. I will have to pay a $160 storage fee, and everything will be delivered on Monday. This was a nightmare.

I arrived on Saturday, May 15 to find the staff dealing with an outage of its customer service system. The staff managed this difficult issue with grace. I registered for my staff, left to pack and when I returned I received detailed instructions on how to check in. This was my first time using self storage and the staff at Walker's Point location made all the difference.

Storage rental was fine, but this was accompanied by a truck rental. I had a reservation that was cancelled for some reason and I went online to reserve again the morning of my move to when I got the cancellation notice and booked again. I got to U-Haul a little early to see if there was a truck available early, which there was not. I was advised to come back at 2:00 because the 26' truck would be ready. When I got back there was no 26' truck or 20' truck. The staff told me they couldn't help me and offered no explanation why my reservation couldn't be fulfilled. I had no option other than going with a 10' truck. That required me to make not 1, but 3 separate trips while moving. 10/10 would NOT recommend using Walkers Point U-Haul reservations.

My lock was cut off by U haul and replaced with out my knowledge. When I asked if they cut my lock off they lied to me I had to pay $100 for a locksmiths to cut off their lock they put on just to find my lock cutoff inside the locker which I took pictures of. This is unacceptable behavior and I will never deal with you again

I got to the location and asked for help finding my pre-paid locker to which I had to wait over a half hour for and then the staff worker couldn't find it. He dropped me at the locker and walked away and there was a lock on the locker. Then I had to wait in the line for another hour to get a different locker. This location was so disorganized, the staff was not knowledgeable, the people working seemed like they had never worked there a day in their life or as if they were on drugs.

I used U-Haul for the primary purpose of renting a van to move my son from Neenah to Port Washington. That went well. I then utilized free rental of a storage space for a 7-8 days before we could move my son into his new living space. The staff encountered technical difficulties and my given code and later a card did not work to gain access to the space. Then after we moved out of the space, after informing the attendant of moving out, I later got late notices for not paying for the next month. After sending an e-mail to the individual who sent me the notice with a copy of the ending of the storage rental, I got another notice regarding a lien on the items in storage (which was none). This time I called to complain and it was then taken care of. Also, at times, staff were away from the front desk for extended periods of time such that I could no longer wait.

My experience started off bad, as the staff member known as JJ, put his information in as emergency contact. I originally had a unit that was to small, I changed it the same day for a bigger unit. My movers notified me that same day that they had put some things in the smaller unit and at this time the office was closed. I wasn't able to gain access to the unit. I spoke with the "then manager" David he stated JJ could get me into the unit, since it had a lock and a note stating access was denied for none payment of rent, which David said the cleaning crew had put on. JJ stated he couldn't get me in because he had never seen the kind of lock and they didn't have a key. I continued to stop in and also call David and was told the unit had been rented and no one knew where my thing's were. I spoke to the off site representatives several times also and got no results. I spoke to the "new" manager Elgin regarding my thing's and no results. I also spoke with Elgin regarding a leaking pipe outside my unit that was to be checked on. When I began to move my thing's out I again inquired about my thing's and was told by the "new" manager Joe that I would have to file a police report. After moving my thing's out I called and was connected to an off site representative, and explained that there was damage to my couch from the pipe that I was attempting to try and use the move out online feature and wasn't able to, and I also sent a message from the site to the "now" manager Joe and got no response. She stated she would send a message also and I explained I had been trying to reach the office regarding the leaking and the damage, was told I would have to speak to the office and I explained I wasn't able to get through any time I called. The representative transferred me to customer care and I still never spoke with anyone. This has been my only option to express my concerns fully and it has been 5 day's since leaving the email for the manger and 4 day's since the off site representative sent her message. My overall experience was horrible after 16 months of storing my thing's and the continued staff turn over and no results regarding my concerns.

I was given a free month of storage for two units because they didn't have 1 unit big enough for what I needed it for. That was helpful and I was grateful. However, I found later that I didn't need the units so I called and cancelled them. I was assured that it was cancelled. I started receiving letters about owing the facility. I called several more times and also showed up in person twice and was assured that both units were cancelled by the manager. I still continue to receive calls. Ridiculous!

In December we emptied out the locker first thing in the morning and got home and found out that you charged the card for December. I am hoping that this can be corrected. Also. I don't understand why the U-haul corporation has such a hard time with their reservations, if this location didn't have space available I would have been screwed. I had even more problems with my trailer rental. All employees are great, but I have great criticism for u-haul as a corporation.

I tripped over a bike rack. Scratched my face and they had no first aid kit available. This was a very bad situation. For a class organization as this I thought this was not good. The staff was poor they took money off my card and idk what they did with it I had to pay twice on my storage the manager was horrible he didn’t even care and the staff a freaking rude the storage place hallways was nasty and they got roaches

I was so happy to find a free lock in my storage when I got to the assigned location. The only downfall was the huge mouse house in my locker unit. Will my things be chipped away at by the mice? Does the insurance cover that?

I did not realize I still needed to check-in @ desk when picking-up my rental, or I would have arrived earlier as it was pretty busy. Once at counter things went pretty well, as we went through both trunk rental & storage rental contracts separately. Thaddeo(?) was my service rep & did a good job; he was patient to repeat some things for me as I am a little hard of hearing. After acquiring the truck & transferring some tools from my car, I had to return to office to arrange accessing storage unit to apply my disc lock (note: the only kind allowed), & Elton noticed my return to line & promptly asked me what I needed. He let know where to meet him, walked me to the unit, opening inspection, & applying my lock. I appreciated that quick help, so I could get on with my day. A pretty good experience & 1 month storage unit rental free with truck. Thanks Thaddeo & Elton!

The guy was very helpful and showed me different sizes and options for a storage unit and helped me settle on one for my specific needs and even showed me where it was and how to check in and out with the keypad and access code.

I needed a rental truck for 6 hours to move 2 apartments but I was put on a schedule due to someone else needed the truck. It was awful! I was called repeatedly to bring back the truck, I probably won't use these company for a while

Only moved things out because I could no longer pay for two storages and I would’ve preferred everything to be in the Uhaul storage facility but the other storage unit was jam packed and would’ve been more of a huge undertaking putting it all in the uhaul unit...pricing is better at Uhaul, hours are way better, access more convenient and staff always been kind and very helpful!!!!

The person working during my check-in did not know what they were doing. They had me pay for a lock before I got into my unit, even though there already was a lock in my unit when I arrived and I shouldnt have had to buy one. There is also a large pole running through my unit that makes storing things difficult and takes up quite a bit of space. I will be trying to find an alternate storage unit facility when places open up.

We completely cleaned out the storage on Saturday February 29, 2020 and requested a move-out receipt at the store counter. I was told they would email it to me by Sunday 3/1/20 and as of today I have not received it. I called them Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and can never get through to that location. The call gets forwarded to another Uhaul service center. The Uhaul service rep said she has emailed my storage location (1500 south 1st street, Milwaukee, WI 53204) but has not received a response either. I've been emailing customer service but they can't locate the account. This is very frustrating! I still need proof we moved out on Saturday 2/29/20 so that we're not charged for March.

I don't understand how they're still in business, when they all have VERY poor customer service skills, they're rude and argumentative with CUSTOMERS!! THEY CHEAT AND BEAT CUSTOMERS, WHEN IN ALL ACTUALITY, IT'S US, THE CUSTOMERS THAT MAKE THE BUSINESS!! WITHOUT OUR HARD EARNED MONEY, THERE'D BE NO UHAUL!! AND, THEN THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO BE PREJUDICE AND OVER LOOK AS WELL UNDER LOOK THEIR CUSTOMERS!! JUST RIDICULOUS!! BETTER OFF RENTING FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE.. Would give you excellent, but my storage unit had "rodent poison" with a Do Not Touch sign on it. Rats and poison were never a part of my deal when I paid for this storage spot.

Rat droppings on all totes and boxes. The boxes I bought from Uhaul storage did not hold well at all. The mice also chewed into my boxes. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL STORAGE AGAIN!

There was a surprising amount of mouse feces in my unit when I moved out. Since I didn't store anything that would attract nice, I was a little concerned of the cleanliness. Otherwise, it was good.
