The mobile pick up was pretty rubbish - it would have been much quicker and easier for us to just have gone in. It wasn't a contactless experience, and the whole process of verification should have happened before checking in. That took extra time which just isn't fun with a toddler in the backseat.Mark S.

I also rented a truck and while I was moving it rained and the inside of the truck was leaking so I called and was given another truck with no problem. I didn't pay for the dolley rental however I feel more should have been taken off for the inconvenience of having to stop packing to return a truck that was leaking on my stuff at no fault of mine. Ensure that there is updates transmitted to the customer and ownership in escalation processes. I called multiple times get answers from representatives and was cold transferred around , I have representatives/managers say that they would follow up and ever did. No one took a deep analysis into where my stuff where and it was over a week late. Additionally again, no communication from uhaul to the customer in regards to delayed shipments (no email communication,etc)Christian N.

My unit was located through a maze all the way in "the back". It was very inconvenient to move my belongings in and out. There needs to be another access point into the building on the other side for more accessibility. It cost me quite a bit of extra money for all the extra time it took my movers to get my belongings out. There was a back door but associates wouldn't allow access. I used the online check in and it was not a good experience. I had to spend over 45 minutes outside the truck answering questions and taking photo's of myself and my license that could have been done earlier. The software was slow and near the end of the process froze up. I then had to go inside and stand in line to get help. The instore associates were very helpful . If I use Uhaul services again I will avoid the terrible online pickup and just deal with a real person on site. The truck had a low tire light that stayed on. The associate informed me that he had been working on it for days. The tire was okay but the sensor was bad. Also it was a very busy morning at the location and only 1 person was at the desk to help people. This added to the overall long wait to get my truck and put me behind schedule.Robert C.

I was rented a truck without cruise control (older w/ 158 000 miles) to drive across country. The 26 foot truck I rented in September for local transport in Richmond was a much newer vehicle (features and comfort). It would have been a better experience if I was loaned a newer vehicle.Bridget O.

Reserved equipment was not ready when we arrived. This cost us an extra hour of time. To compensate us they said they would mark the system so we could return equipment to any location and they did not do that. When we got to our destination the uhaul rep said that had not been done and we would have to return to where our original reservation was. Staff in Henrico, VA were slow and inefficient. The only issue I had was the unit I originally was assigned had a support column in it taking up a decent amount of space so I had to go back up front and get a different unit. I was at the location twice that day and dealt with 3 different employees and they were all very courteous and helpful. Cynthia, we need your help. Everyone is very nice but we have a nightmare unit. First, we wanted and rented. 10x7 but when we went to it it was a 5x5 with a beam in the middle. Then we got a 10x 8 because that was the best they had. In any event, when I went later in the week for the first time the latch was not working. The actual facility was great...everyone was helpful and nice..my only issues was with the company as a whole... I found out 2 days after my monthly payment was deducted from my bank account that I was approved for a house and that I could move in that weekend. When I contacted uhaul about a possible refund since I wouldnt be needing the unit for that month I was told no they dont issue refunds and they just suggest you dont move out til right before you payment is due. Had I known I would be approved that quickly I would have moved my stuff out early. So I was out almost 100 $for that. Then when I put in my move out request on the day I moved out (may 31) everything was good to go as I was told..but then today (june 28) I checked my account and they had deducted another 100 $now I have to wait 3-5 days to have that money refunded to me.Tiffany N. | Expérience générale

Not to mention having to move stuff from in front of my unit a few times that someone had placed in front of it. This time, I needed parking/storage for a trailer and they had just the solution I needed.
