I do like the location and the people however that said I was really disappointed this time and I'd like a refund the trailer that they gave me and I get trailers there quite often the pin at the back would hardly work and it was so sharp around it it tore my clothing and cut my skin and I cannot get through to your location to let you know I've returned it without a 40 to 50 minute wait which is absolutely absurd I got cut off and transferred three times to some call-center this is not how I want to deal with my rental !!' So I have no way of knowing what exactly I was charged for I returned it right on time I wanted to call and just affirm that that had been done with someone and I can't even do that I find it very frustrating but that particular trailer should not be going out like that and it had not been checked because it's going to cut and hurt somebody else and of course I can't get through to the location to report this which I find is absolute nonsense and if there was a problem who won the world can be put on a 50 minute wait to report it??!!! This needs to be rectified because it's no way to do a proper business thank you Suzanne Alcock

This the second time I got the truck from there , first time was truck 15' and the A/C was not working also the truck was very bad over highway, last time I got 10' truck and the A/C was working sometimes and other stop send cold air. Also why you don't put in your concern when you make the final calculation the gas level as both time I left the truck with double gas level.

Staff were excellent and friendly. The rental was on a very hot day and the air conditioning wasn't working properly so in slow traffic it was very uncomfortable in the cab of the truck.

Fuel level was below what was indicated when receiving the truck. However it was easy to dispute it on the questionnaire. And when returning the truck the employee gave a fuel discount for the bit of extra fuel I put in.

I made an online reservation for a 5x5 storage space at 79,95 CAD . when I arrived there, the staff told me that it's on second floor and I asked to see elevator and troy are available or not and he said, yes. Therefore I confirmed that it's okay for me . he said that also one space available at ground floor and changed my reservation to that. till now everything is okay but at the end I found that the rent of this pace is higher than second floor and he didn't mention anything about it. I know that it's just $5 and not a big money but exactly I chosen that warehouse and location based on the price. anyway, I realized this price different after I already dropped my items at the storage space and I was lazy to ask them to change my contract again to second floor and I move again all items to second floor.

Overall quick and convenient. I just wish my billing address was updated as it appears on my driver license. Also I had a fuel charge even after filling up to the correct amount (sent proof / picture to customer service for them to review)

The representative who supported me when I picked up the truck was friendy and provided a professional service. For improvement: the box to drop in the keys was not easily located or recognized, I spent more than 15 minutes looking for it. It is not similar to the picture shown to me when I used my mobile to drop off the truck. It sais at the main door and it was not. The picture showed orange box and it was not orange at all. So I think u should consider to improve the location and the color of the drop off keys so ppl can easily recognize it. Other than that everything was perfect

It was very inconvenient, it was my first time and I had a difficult time since the first storage that was given to me was very small and we were stranded there for a good 45mins. Since it was 4mins past office hrs with no one answering the service line. At one point we called the # and someone hung up. Finally Michelle gave us another unit, she was pretty helpful but the night experience was horrible.

Vehicle interior was filthy, Not cleaned, and entirely unfit to rent. Exterior photos were not accurate/up to date as there were damage not recorded. More attention all round to vehicle prep quality seriously required.

The van was packed in a muddy area when I picked it up and it rained overnight. I had no choice but to step on the mud in getting onto the vehicle. Your system automatically included a charge of $25 for cleaning. I objected to it in the note when I did the online return. I came into the office to tell the guy at the counter about my objection to the cleaning charge. He told me to just give him the key and he will take care of it. When I received my final bill, the cleaning charge was still there. I had to go back and have the guy refund me the $25. It was a pain to have to go back and I was still overcharge because he just refund me the $25 but not the GST on top of it. I could not be bother to argue. It was not a bad experience.

Well I booked my truck over a month and was called a day before I had to pic it up that it wasn't available at the location I asked for ,and your customer service person was not helpful and was sort of rude station and only had two options take it or leave it attitude ,perhaps giving the customer more notice and more feasible options in the future might be much better after all I'm was cornered and had no choice but to drive further to get a truck pay gas for that no at all fair .

I made my reservation on-line to pick up a 6 x 12 foot trailer at the Oakville location to drop it off in Peterborough. When I arrived there were several trailers in the lot. I was told that they didn't have my reservation - even though I had my confirmation. In any case, I was able to take one of the trailers but I had to return it to Oakville the next day. This really messed up my plans. I needed the trailer so I took it and returned it the next day. Pretty frustrating.

This is the second time renting a trailer that was booked in advance, and i called to confirm the day before, and both times they did not have the equipment, and offered me $50 for 'inconvenience' of driving 3hours to another location to get one. Employees in shop were good, it was out of their control, call centre or central booking was horrible. I would recommend finding someplace else, it was a terrible inconvenience for something we planned months in advance.

I had the worst experience with regards to having a hitch installed which I ended up doing myself as the hitch installer refused to do my vehicle. I showed up at 7am on July 13th, I had made reservation with gentleman sitting behind the desk on July 6th and explained my situation that I would be waiting with my vehicle while hitch was to be installed. On July 13th at 7am I was told by uhaul employee that hitch installer shows up for work around 9-9:30, and that the manager whom is on vacation had a replacement that maybe in around 10am, but was told later around 10am that they maybe in around 1 or so. When hitch installer did show up, I was told by him that the parts had just arrived and that he could start it but needed help to finish it with a co worker that was on his way in to help, but he was asking me if I would let the person who had a 10am appointment to go ahead of me as it was a big job that they say needed to be done right away, yet all parts were not all in at that time for that vehicle as they were still on the way. I was told by hitch installer that he could start working on my vehicle, then why don't we do that I said, but I was met with him continually asking me to wait and let the other person go ahead of me. I disagreed with this and continued to ask for him to start on my vehicle as my parts were all in and not all parts were in yet for the 10am appointment but I was told they had a deadline. The hitch installer wad upset that I was refusing to be bypassed on my appointment that was made and I did everything I should have to be able to have my hitch installed at the soonest time possible starting at 7am on July 13th, he (hitch installer) stormed away and slammed the door behind him as he left the building to go make a phone call. After waiting over 3 hours at this point, the hitch installer told me that he was refusing to install my hitch all together, I then said that I was going to purchase my hitch and wiring kit and do it myself, only to be told by installer that you are not getting these parts so you need to move your vehicle so we can start working on the 10am appointment. After refusing to move my vehicle until I had my parts which I was not leaving without as the next closest place that had this hitch in stock was approximately an hour drive away. I was told by Lucas whom was the second hitch installer that he was going to call police as I was getting frustrated at a situation that could have been resolved had they had someone in charge like manager whom would have been able to make an executive decision and avoid any problems that transpired. Lucas called over the gentleman that originally booked me in for my appointment and whispered to him that this guy( meaning me) would not go away, so this employee said just sell it to him, so Lucas agreed and my purchase was made and I was then forced to do it myself as appointments needed to be made at other locations to have been able to have it Installed today. My frustration with this whole matter caused short fusses to spark, were all of this could have been avoided. Did I mention that I installed the hitch and wiring in less then 2hrs and this is coming from someone who looked at the instructions and made it work without having any prior experience. I'm very dissapointed at the time I lost with the installer, making excuses and not starting the job that could have been started and finished with more then enough time to have the next appointment done with time to spare. I'm still not sure as to why I should have let the other appointment go ahead of me. Over an hr was wasted while nothing got done. I'm no pro by any means but if I could have it all done in two hrs I'm sure the installer could have done it in less time. The installer seemed to have come in this morning with the problem of having to do my vehicle before said 10am appointment which then led to him making excuses to not do my vehicle. Honestly all was good but when I asked at pick up what do I do at drop off there seemed to be a just drop it off and leave of just drop it off and come into the office. Kinda felt it was very open and when I did drop it off there was a person there which was good !! He unhooked the trailer and said I could leave and a email would be sent to me which it was. My worrie was we did not do a walk around for him to say all was ok in the end it was and email confirmed but would have liked it to be done right there and then with me present. All in all a good experience that said .

The young man who helped promised he would help and then continued to act like God's gift to everyone didn't actually follow through with his n promise of following up on form we submitted or had his supervisor return any of my calls. I booked a cargo trailer, the only one that's available on the day had wiring problem, so I was forced to take a utility trailer, and need to buy tarp to cover. Tried many many times to call the office phone, only got through once. Won't come back, bad experience.

Customer service was slow, employees did not know where vehicles were parked. Long wait for pre-arranged pickup/checkout. Website lists mileage fee of 0,89 per mile and billing rate was 1,43 per mile. Only one bundle of moving blankets/pads open and used. Employee Connor stated he would adjust the bill accordingly. Bill still reflects 2 bundles. Finally the AC in the truck did not work. Overall disappointing service and experience.

I HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE TRAILER, THAT I RENTED. THE TRAILER LATCH WAS FAULTY AND DISENGAGED FROM MY HITCH AND RAN INTO MY TRUCK AND CAUSED DAMAGE. UPON RETURNING THE TRAILER, THE MAN WHO HELPED ME UN LOAD IT AND PUT BACK THE TRAILER INTO PLACE, TOOK PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE AND WAS GOING TO REPORT IT TO THE MANAGER. I WAITED 3-4 DAYS NO CALL FROM THE MANAGER. SO I CALLED, I DID TALK TO THE MANAGER (MICHELLE I THINK) SHE WAS UN AWARE OF THE INCIDENT, AND PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT SHE WOULD LOOK INTO THIS AND CALL ME BACK. 3-4 WEEKS HAS PASSED AND NO CALL. VERY SAD AND VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND THEY HELPED ME GET IN TOUCH WITH REP WEST AND SUBMIT A CLAIM. BUT NO HELP FROM THE MANAGER. THEREFORE NOT HAPPY WITH UHAUL AND THE MANAGER

This facility and staff was outstanding.I hit a deer on the trip so I was a little worried about the complications. But I had bought the additional insurance. When I arrived to drop off, there was zero complication. They reviewed my contract and I was on my way in minutes. We are now uhaul fans for life. And that small insurance fee for a cross country trip...GET IT!

Whenever I rent equipment from your company, every time it is dirty inside and outside, you can see that it hasn't been cleaned since the last rental. I complained to Mrs. manager and she told me that was the default... I objected and she just ignored my complaint. In my last rental, there was even spilled coffee, both on the dashboard and on the floor, which is it was not even inspected... I even asked a worker who was there to use a wet cloth to do the cleaning myself and continue my trip, a SHAME for a company of this size. Another detail is: The fuel tank is always empty... The customer will have to fill up the vehicle before even using it, come on guys, this could never be acceptable, a lack of respect for the customer.

Do what you say that you are going to do. The quote details that I selected for my reservation were not adhered to. So what is the point of a reservation if it is not locked in? Additionally, the changes made to my reservation cost me more money.

facility was very clean driveway parking lot ramp steps clear of snow and ice ( Oakville had a lot of snow and weather causing icy conditions this year compared to other years) parking available close to the entrance staff on site could be easily accessed by phone if I had any questions re site access billing etc

The only issue with the facility is the entry. It is hard to access the entry with vehicles parked in the entrance. Also the walkway is bumpy and small making it difficult to use a cart of any kind.

We tried to access the unit between 5 to 6 PM and the office was shut because it was a Sunday. But the door would not accept the code and I called 1800 number which didn't help at all. They said the manager at the site needs to be talked to. I had to cancel my plans and then come back the next day sacrificing my sleep and spend 4 hours to pickup and transport the items in my unit and then go for a 10 hour night shift at work. When i raised the issue with the employee and the manager they said they will have to talk to IT to look at the door issue. Not even an apology.

Staff were always helpful & courteous. Storage unit we had was well situated to the side exit for easy access. Unit and facilities had good lighting & kept clean

The people were polite. The girl who showed me my room realized it wasn't clean already so immediately mopped it. But the service experience as a whole was absolutely horrible. We reserved the space and truck. Called to confirm everything was good the day before. Was thanked for confirming. Then. Arrived to be good our space was rented out. Apparently the reservation means absolutely nothing!! It as very upsetting. I had to move my mother in that one day and had done all the work to prepare only to be told that reserved means nothing to anyone at uhaul. The girl apologized that this is the policy. Offered to call another location. But we picked that location for a reason. It was very stressful for my senior mom. We ended up in a much more expensive space just to spent through everything. I'll not recommend uhaul for reliable service/policy. Still angry over the whole thing!

Rented me 2 Trucks low on fuel. Had to fuel up midway through a move with a truck full of belongings, no truck availability, also rented me another cargo van with a flat tire, had I not noticed I could have been in serious danger on the highway driving. Do better. Hoping to receive some sort of discount. Manager Michelle was friendly but she needs to have her people keep an eye on the trucks wayyyyy more.

People make the difference. The U-Haul people in Oakville have excellent customer service skills and are obviously well trained. You can always sweep a floor but it's very difficult to change a person's attitude. Oakville's floors shine and the people are polished. Well done U-Haul.

All would have been 5 stars, other than access hours . This is a newer facility and access to storage is limited to office hours . Kept items in storage for aprox 7 months and several times would have liked to be able access at later hours .
