Unfortunately I hate to write a negative review as I have used U-haul in the past for other things and have had a great experience. This time though it was far from great and filled with frustration and disappointment. I had created an online reservation and received my guarantee and confirmation. I received a call from the Royal Windsor location to inform me that they did not have the motorcycle trailer I required and that my reservation will be moved to the Woody road location as they have what I reserved. As I arrived 15 mins early as I know u-haul can be busy this was not the case and I was inside to finish my pick up as I did complete the online covid pick up. This was then I started to receive nothing but roadblocks. I was told they did not have a motorcycle trailer even though I was told on the phone from Royal Windsor they did. I was then offered a basic trailer that would not meet the requirements I requested, and after 5 minutes was also told they could not locate one. Then was asked to go to the South Service road location to get the truck and trailer only to find out they didn't have a ready pick up as per my original request. I then was told by the South Service road location to go back to the Woody road location and get the pick up from them and drive back to the South Service road location to get the trailer. This was very disappointing and frustrating to say the very least and does put in question how I am going to, or if I am going to deal with them in the future. Not once was I asked to be compensated in any way to help their process along or have them hold themselves accountable to their guarantee they gave me after the reservation was confirmed. As customer service is the highest priority in companies these days and the need for feedback and accountability from both customers and the companies. This experience was unfortunately damaging to how I see u-haul moving forward with me as a client. I also want to make mention that when I finally did get the equipment I required it was not currently checked in and was told it would take 20 mins even though the rep came back in with 10 mins and I would seriously question if it was Covid sanitized for my protection because the vehicle was not clean inside and I had to report and document what I feel was obvious damages to both the rear bumper and tailgate. I hope this does get its due attention and is addressed as this does create concern in being a continuing client and possible to their market share.DAVID K.

Online I reserved a 4 wheel Dollie, which was critical to the success of the job I had to complete, When I arrived, the very helpful lady checking me in advised that they do not stock such devices at that location, despite advocating for the same to the president. Fortunately, she was willing to call the Dorval store, who luckily had one available. I think it's reprehensible that your app allows such equipment to book devices online, only to be told on the day that the device is not available at that location This needs to be addressed.DEREKANDREW L.
After driving 1.5 hrs to Hamilton my prearranged truck reservation location, I was told they didn't have my truck!?! Despite the exact truck with the words "one-way or local rentals" clearly written on the truck, they wouldn't let me take it. Staff were friendly and helpful. The truck worked well. To your text message regarding mobile checkout, maybe add "... before you lock the vehicle". I had locked and dropped the key off before following the link so pictures inside were impossible to take. I did capture the odometer reading but was unable to add it to the checkout app as it only allowed new pictures. Maybe put a sign where your drop box is, and put a handle on it. I think it would be expected that each vehicle is inspected and sanitized prior to being rented out again so the extra $20 fee appears to be unnecessary. May want to at least clean the windshields of bird droppings and bugs before renting vehicles. I realize the rental purpose is for hauling, but this is a simple thing to do and when not done, as in our case, makes it look like the company doesn't care. All in all, the vehicle did what we needed to do. The external mirrors on that model of GMC are poor compared to other vans I have driven.Jules C.
