These people rented out a unit that was already unit took $166 of my money and have not given it back yet.I will get my money. Plus the employees there are there don't do their work especially your older man that's red looking sitting it sure had a nerve to say something to my daughter and I told him don't say anything to her I really don't ever recommend going here to anyone else as long as the staff that works including the general manager still employed here, terrible terrible terrible experience after dealing with these people for more than 10 years and this is not the same staff that's been here all African-American brothers and I would have thought being a sister or of color I could at least have got to help that I came for professionally but very unprofessional people.Tasha B. | Premières impressions

The worst experience. I would not recommend them to anyone. The owners son laughed when I asked for help with tire straps to assist with auto transport. After about an hour of struggling, I watched each manager leave the location. The newest employee actually ducked down to in hopes I wouldn't see them leave. Owners son refused do a tow inspection even though I explained that was apart of my booking and I quote â€œthe manager left and said that's on you not on us to figure outâ€. The customer service was very poor. They did not explain much, seemed to get very easily agitated by simple questions or mishearing something. The person who rung me out was quick to catch an attitude. This location does not take cashapp, venmo, chime or any type of online bank card it has to be either debit or credit which I was not aware of. They had a small sign above the window at the counter but honestly it's easy to miss when you're trying to get everything squared away and nothing is being explained to you. The actual vehicle and fees were fine. Returning the vehicle, the worker who came out to check it back in rolled his eyes while asking me if I wanted a printed receipt, so I said no thank you so that I could just leave. The whole interaction at this location felt like I was inconveniencing everyone, and they act like you should know how the process goes when most people don't rent uhauls all the time to know what exactly they are doing.Destiny S.

I don't typically leave bad reviews, but I was told incorrect information from the start. They told me it was 0,69 cent/mile, turns out it's 0,79 cent. Then I was also encouraged by the employees to drop the truck off to a different location because they have â€œtoo manyâ€ trucks at that location. I started at the Clintonville location to drop off the truck. I was told there they don't except outside trucks from other locations. I then take the truck to the Morse rd location. They tell me there it would be a charge of $90-$100, and I need to take the truck back to the Whitehall location. Making the 2 additional stops added another 10 miles to the charge. When I got there to the Whitehall location they â€œtook notesâ€ of what happened, and told me I'd be hearing from the store manager. It's been a week, and I haven't heard from him. The gas gauge is not a precise piece of equipment, I returned the truck with the gauge exactly in the same place that was when I took the truck. I was still charged for a single gallon of gas. That is ridiculous! I feel that there should be some leniency when it is that close. I have been renting from this location for over 10 years and return trucks with much more gas than I took them with. And then I get charged for a single gallon of gas! I feel that loyal regular customers should have some perks, rather than being treated like at one time irresponsible renter.AARON H.

They charged me for fuel that I had replenished. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, the rudely told me they were right and I am wrong. Upon my further insistence, they said only the manager can refund the extra charge, and he'll call me on Tuesday. I left my refueling receipt, name and number. We ordered the largest Uhaul 26 footer and when we got there they didn't have that one available. They couldn't find a key for the 20 footer. So we waited a while. We finally got the key for the 20 footer but we needed the bigger truck to fit all of our stuff so we ended up having to do two trips which was more expensive due to 0,99 per mileage. They were not understanding at all and really didn't have any sympathy that they didn't have the correct truck available. If i would have known they only had the 20 footer I would have rented somewhere closer to me because we drove 40 miles round trip just to pick up the truck. This uhaul we had it had bedbugs The transmission was really bad it ran horrible the whole way up it needs a wheel alignment as well but the main thing was the bedbugsjonathan I.
Overall, some of the staff were helpful, but the communication between the mobile app and actual location was very poor. When I arrived, I followed the instructions presented within the app and located the available vehicle. After going inside, I was greeted by a staff member who then told me that the rental I pre-ordered was not available, and that the lady standing next to me was in the process of securing the truck. I then was told there were no more trucks available but only trailers. Luckily, I drove my truck to location and was able to secure a trailer, however, I was then given the wrong trailer, which had to be switched out by another staff member. After returning the trailer a couple hours later, I was then told if I paid by card I was good to go and I could leave. Five days later, I received a phone call asking if I had return the trailer, and that there seemed to be an in house error when processing the return by one of the staff members. This will be my third time coming to this location and my last. Every rental from this location has been a hassle and there seems to be internal issues preventing successful transactions.Christina H.

The uhaul they gave me while yes it was clean but when I went to refill the fuel it took about 15 minutes to get the gas back to where it was because I had to barely squeeze the gas pump or it would click off. Which I went over the amount that was to be in it then they charged me for not putting enough back in it.. I have always used uhaul when I needed a truck in the past but this may be my last time.Erik R.

Truck has transmission issues, air conditioning just stopped working during moving and never came back on, truck was making all kinds of weird noises sounded like a child screaming when taking off! I'm VERY UPSET AND DISSATISFIED with my experience with Uhaul today (9/08/2002) after receiving my truck I did my inspection as instructed of the vechile. After arriving at my destination to pick up NEW furniture while loading the one of my movers slipped on something wet on the inside only to learn it was wet paint. Someone had paint the floor board ( unbeknownst to me) and it got onto my workers shoes, leading to them tracking the paint on my furniture and home floor. I explained this information to the clerk and assured me that I wouldn't be charged for the maintaining. Consequently some of the paint did stick to the floor . Not to mention that I was charged for gas I'd already fue up. An extra $10.00. I'm terribly disappointed and would some FEED BACK from a company representative.Sharon M.

I called the U-haul 800 number to reserve a unit at a facility that had a 1st floor unit available. I had to go to a location further away but was assured by the representative that a 1st floor unit had been reserved for me at this location. When i showed up at the facility I was told that I was being given a 2nd floor unit. I explained that I had spoken with a rep through the Uhaul 800 number and had been assured I was reserving a 1st floor unit. The owner basically told me I was out of luck and she had no 1st floor units available. I was utilizing a 1 month free offer based on a 1 way truck rental so i believe this lady (I did not get her name but her shirt said "owner") didn't want to give me a 1st floor unit since i was only using it for a month. On top of that, she was rude. I have 3 kids in college at Ohio State and have been, will be for the next several years, will need to rent trucks and storage facilities in Columbus to move them in and out of apartments and store their furniture in the summer months. I hope my stuff is going to be ok as the roof looks like it has been patched several times and leaks.. I called and let them know I would be there 3 mins before the inside closed the lady said ok.. In the beginning I had a good experience with the uhaul staff. I caught Corona virus back in late March. I was so sick I had forgotten to pay the storage fee for April. I was feeling better and able to talk so I called to let the staff know what was going on around mid April and I paid the same day. Also this is my first missed payment. I haven't been to the storage unit since I've put my Things in there. I paid for the month of May on time. On May 29th I come to retrieve my things from storage, because I didn't need the unit anymore and my key doesn't Fit The Lock. I tell the staff no one knows why and says they can't help me. I had to pay $100 for a lock Smith to remove the lock. Im not stupid I know One of uhaul staff members changed my lock because of my late payment in April and they never changed my lock back. The Manager said he doesn't have any notes or keys for my unit. I know They didn't have any more red tags so they used a different lock to keep me out. There's no way my key shouldn't have worked. I understand being locked out for non payment but when I paid, it should've been fixed or uhaul staff should've took the lock off instead of me having to pay a lock Smith for a problem I didn't create. The original unit was too small, and staff was very accommodating with changing to a different unit. The staff was disrespectful the day we went to remove all of our belongings and close out our month. We ran in to an issue with them not having a utility dolly for us to use but we had been charged for one, and did not try to help us in any way to find a solution. All they did was laugh in our face and told us to figure it out. I was really disappointed and upset that I reached out to uhaul customer service while in store and they worked to help us find a dolly nearby at another location and we were able to complete our move out. The lady who rented me the locker was very friendly and explained everything in a professional way. Glad I had her as an associate. My only complaint is the access hours. The outside units are till 10pm. Wish they could be till midnight. Also everything I opened the door the alarm would go off. I hope I'm not setting it off.
