We really loved the fact that you had a deal goinin time g on when you get a UHAL you were having a special that you get 1 month free storage and we appreciated it so very much and hopefully you'll have another deal like that. I got it out just in time ⏲️ before the 16th. The day before and that worked out just fine. I had trouble with locking it up so when I turned in the card and the 2 . Thanks again and God bless your services and someday I'm hoping to use your facility again.

REID LThe delivery location changed, 3 hours after I picked up the truck. It added 35 minutes to my drop off location. I got a call around 300pm on Sunday asking when I was returning the truck, to which I responded today like my return stated. It had no time on the return, just a date. After I dropped the truck off, I was charged for extra miles, even after explaining that I only went over on mileage because they changed my drop off location to 35 miles further away than originally. If I had any other option I would pick it.

thomas h | Premières impressionsNot a thing. Everything was OK with the UHAL and no problems at all. It was self explanatory on what the rules were and what to do with the UHAL when finished with it. We took really good care of it. We even took it back earlier than expected and got a better deal on it afterwards. The key was safe and sound leaving it there and going back the next day to get the actual paperwork. Thank you so very much for your services and they were greatly appreciated alot. God bless your company and it's nice to have another UHAL place near by.

STEVEN LAsked for a dolly. I expected to get an upright dolly. Instead I got a 4 wheel cart. Had many stairs to go up and down. That cart I got was useless and not used. Asked for a refund.

Asked if there was a refund of my money for turning in truck a day earlier than I needed to. Was told I'm not sure but I don't think so. No effort to check or look into it. Customer in front of me was asking about rates he had no information. I helped her and told her where to look to check rates and gave her the number I used to rent truck.

STEVEN SNo one was in the reception area. We waited 15 minutes and then saw someone on security cameras in the back of the building. I walked all the way back to flag someone down. We got our truck. We drove less than 5 miles and it died. We had to jump start it to get it running again. Then called to switch trucks, and on the return to the U-Haul store, the truck almost fell apart. Lost all electricity. No lights, no windshield wipers (it was pouring rain) no speedometer. It wouldn't drive more than 30mph without clunking and jerking. As we entered the parking lot for U-Haul it entirely died, no gas power nothing. The attendant gave us a "better one". We drove to our place, less than five miles and on the way the check engine light lit up. We loaded what needed to be done and then left. the truck would not drive more than 20/25mph. I had to put flashers on and drive the 6 miles to the new destination. I quickly returned the U-Haul truck after unloading. You need to better maintain trucks. This was a very stressful situation that should not have been if equipment was well maintained.
Erin SThe drivers side mirror was so loose that the wind would move the mirror out of position I had to reach out the window to adjust the mirror multiple times during the trip. Whoever had the truck either did not inform the rep at the company of the situation or it was not handled in maintenance When I returned the truck I took the representative at the location out to the truck and showed him the problem. Said he would tell the boss. Truck should not go out until problem is taken care of as there is no rear vision on the left side at times.
JERRY FJust shut down all together. Worst uhaul location worst employees and management. Nothing but problems and harassment from all employees. Had to call corporate to sort everything out ZERO communication between any of the employees and manager. Just all trash. Also there's no reason to rent a trailer that's one damaged two air bubble in the tire and the employee never even checked the trailer over before renting it out to make sure it's even safe for a customer to rent out. Never again. Worst experience with Uhaul ever.

Greg DI could never find a worker when needed. A sign saying use walkie talkie which you couldn't because the battery was dead or no walkie talkie was there to use. If you did find someone - was told to come back tomorrow because they didn't know how to help me.

The customer service rep was horrid his name is James. I will never ever rent from you again. I've already created a FB post about this.
Timothy DStaff, Was friendly, but I picked up the truck on Saturday to get a early start on Sunday. I went to put blankets in the truck at 6:00AM and the lift up door would not open. I waited till you opened up at 9:00 and your worker used a crowbar to get the door open, they should of checked this before they gave me the truck. I rent a storage unit for my mother from you also. mark bMy husband and I recently rented a cargo van and storage unit at the new Winona, Minnesota facility. It would have been a good experience if not for the seemingly-incompetent young man we dealt with. (We were very well taken care of by a different worker on the day the young man was off.) He did not introduce himself to us by name. The first two units shown, over multiple days, turned out to be unavailable. Each succeeding option was farther from the entrance and less convenient than we preferred. At each step, the employee was slow to respond, easily stuck or confused by minor details. In general, he just demonstrated poor communication and human interaction skills. When we took the van home and first opened both side cargo doors, we discovered that the latch handle that releases the left-hand side door was not connected to the upper latch and therefore that door could not be opened using the latch handle alone. It was necessary to also reach up and operate the upper latch manually. This wasn't a big deal for someone familiar with such mechanisms or just mechanically handy, but it could easily be dangerous, resulting in significant hand injury, to a customer who didn't understand how it works and the risks. When we returned the van, my husband called the young employee over to demonstrate the problem. As he was explaining the issue and operating the latch, the employee attempted to pull the door open, very nearly causing significant injury to my husband's hand. My husband, of course, quickly pushed the employee's arm away to stop him from doing that. The employee reacted angrily, not understanding that he had done something inherently dangerous, although it should have been obvious to anyone working with cargo vehicles, or indeed any vehicle or similar mechanism. In response, My husband told the employee, emphatically, why he had been pushed away. The employee next claimed that he had inspected the van before we rented it and that the door latch worked properly at that time. We were certain that it did not work fine when we rented it, because the problem was found the first time the side doors were opened. In fact, it appeared that the connecting rod from the latch handle to the upper latch was disconnected inside the door panel and it's unlikely that anything a customer had done with that nearly-new van had caused the problem. The employee's demeanor made it clear he was not telling the truth and knew he was not telling the truth. He was told so, also emphatically. He then shifted to asking why the previous customer had not reported the problem. We, of course, have no idea whether the previous customer did or did not report a problem, or why or why not. That was a bizarre and inappropriate thing to say to a customer. We promptly sent an email message describing this experience to the manager of the Winona facility. A week later, we have received no response from her. The Winona storage facility is well organized and well maintained. If not for the frustrating and annoying interaction with one employee, and the failure of the manager to communicate with us, our experience would have been positive. Under the circumstances, we will be making arrangements for a different storage location and will be sharing the story of our experience with others here in this small city.

christoper bThe whole experience was somewhat of a fiasco. We moved in in May. Paid for the storage in June. When I logged in in July to pay for the current month, we were told we'd moved out in June (which we hadn't). After some clarification, it seemed to be straightened out. I logged in a few days later to pay for July only to be told again that we'd moved out in June. Still trying to find out if our stuff is even still in the unit.

Camryn B | Expérience généraleThe trailer I rented was in poor repair. Front clearance lights didn't work, the floor was wavy and it had many dents, scrapes and other misc damage. The poor guy who helped me hook up had to put dozens of the X stickers on the trailer. He was great and very polite, too bad the trailer was in such disrepair.

I'm hoping when I move out of the self storage I will have a better experience. Again, the staff was always friendly and respectful.

Michael SNo, but it's really the only option a person has in Winona. I was so disappointed that the store manager had one person working at 10a on the first of the month on a flipping Saturday. We wait over 45 minutes for help. Poor Clayton was alone with no help. Someone called the store manager and complained and she had the nerve to call him while helping us. Which then distracted him. Her lazy ass should have been there helping him. It was the same thing the week before. If she's not careful she won't having any staff. I feel bad for Clayton. He is a kind person who does a great job. Get the poor kid more help especially on weekends. You should know by now the first of the month is a busy day. Do better U-Haul, especially this store manager!

During my online booking and subsequent online check in, I was allowed to waive this insurance. I also believe requiring me to purchase U Haul insurance as a condition of renting the vehicle is in conflict with Minnesota State law.

When manager reached out eventually, 2 hours from initial contact, she assigned me. ANOTHER unit that wasn't even on site 3110, 3109- everyone was super rude treating me like i was stupid and didn't know how to read the map but they literally had no idea what they were doing. Many call transfers later i got into a unit. Terrible

When I finally called the office to see what I needed to do, the staff was great. It was so easy from there on out. Jordan was very helpful on the phone and got me all squared away. When I went in to the office to finish 2 days later, Jordan was not there but the other staff were so very helpful. Got me all set up, showed me my unit and were very kind in general. My advice - skip the online! Great personal service.

I was set up on automatic payment. Come to find out their system randomly kicks you off of that option. They're for with no one telling us we were looked out of our locker and they tried renting it to someone else. Let's note we have 3 lockers. I would start with getting rid of the little punks that sit on their phones all day. Then fixing the software they use. There has been other issues with renting trailers from this location also. I would never recommend a u-haul location to anyone. Very disappointing.

For the most part, interaction wise not terrible but communication between customer service and this location need to improve. A lot of unpleasantness could have been avoided and we all could have parted on better terms.

When I left four months later it was still broke! Really poor customer service. I went into my commitment with u-haul a big fan. Not so much anymore. Did like your janitor though. His hire was a big plus on your part.
