Prior to keeping a storage unit with U-haul I was subject to petitory storage companies that would increase your rent every year taking advantage of the fact you'd probably not want to move out to another facility. U-haul however honored the rate I signed up with and did not increase my rent. Thank you for being fair! I will always keep U-haul in mind.

Was able to move in after the facility had closed for regular business hours which was extremely helpful. Unit was clean and easy to access. Will review state of stored items upon moving out, but otherwise facility appears clean and secure.

The parking lot was a mess of people trying to return equipment, so maneuvering was a little challenging. The worst problem, though, was that the self-return app wouldn't let me complete the return. It knew I had a trailer, but it kept asking me about fuel level and mileage. I tried 3 different times and it always left me stuck at questions that didn't apply to my rental, so I couldn't get past that part (e.g. taking a picture of the fuel gauge). Fortunately there was someone still there with a U-Haul shirt on, and he was able to check me in using an app on his phone. If he hadn't been there I would have been screwed. It made for a very poor final impression having to spend all that time fighting a broken return app.

Marlena N.To be honest, this location usually have any truck and trailer size available but need more number of employees working behind the window and outside in yard for quicker in and out. I went yesterday 7/1/22 to pick up a motorcycle trailer and I arrived there about 7:15am and I was able to leave with the trailer about 8:15am. Staff in office and in yard were doing their best but short handed. I know, usually businesses don't know customer how many customers they might be coming in but this is one of the busiest, and nearest for many people. In the end, for customer looking to spend less time getting the truck or trailer and as a business get more customer as this location gets a lot of walk ins. Anyway, I like going to this location as the stuff are professional and all in uniform and they have what I always needed. Thank you BQE U-Haul staff members and U-Haul company for your existing

CHRISTIANXAVIER I.I had an old file cabinet that needed to be dumped and they wouldn't accept it. After the attendant gave me a hard time he said he would speak to the manager but the manager said no. I told her I couldn't take it back to work with me and she still refused it. It was a small little two draw file cabinet. The young man who help me seemed to be finding humor in my dilemma. I tried to be light about it but he seemed to be enjoying the fact that the manager wouldn't accept the file cabinet. I was willing to pay and she just kept telling me she had no room yet when I looked at the dumpster there was stuff outside of it. I really believe that they just didn't want to help me because I am white. I'm looking at this like a reverse discrimination, horrible. I was very offended and just began walking away when the kid ran the file cabinet to me when he could have simply put it buy the dumpster with the rest of the trash. I then put the the cabinet in the gutter. I didn't know what to do with it. I'm now looking at my bill and the manager actually had the nerve to charge my card $185.89. My question is for what??? They brought the file cabinet to the curb and left it there. I was willing to pay to dump it but they refused. I'd like to think of myself as a valued customer. I have never seen this much unprofessionalism from anyone at Uhaul before and I've been renting for years. Please return my money to my bank account. I can't believe I was treated so badly. S. Raia

Isaac P.My reservation was changed to a U-Haul truck share 24/7. I followed all the instructions and received a message to skip the line and get my keys. I showed an agent the message on my screen and he said i needed a code for the keys and must have missed it. I reached out to the live chat. They said go inside and ask the agents. So i got on the line and After waiting an hour, I was called up to the same agent who now showed another agent my notice to skip the line and get my keys. The other agent reached behind her on the wall and got the keys to the truck i was renting. The keys were there the whole time. A waste of time waiting on line and clearly an employee who was not trained correctly. U-Haul offers a good product for the price, but that location needs more knowledgeable agents. There was one agent who was very knowledgeable about everything and clearly knew what she was doing and how to help on all points.

Wangdu D.It looks like the gas gage was not working properly. Before we returned the truck we put in $75 15gallon worth of gas in there and the needle wouldn't move from just above the half mark. Before we put gas in there it was between half and one quarter tank. We were charged $70 on top of that. And I can guarantee that they won't put in that money into the tank.

Zafer A.Super long wait to check in. U-haul does everything they can to transfer the check-in burden to customers rather than paying employees to help. It's stressful on everyone except the shareholders raking it in while we wait in 45 minute lines only to be asked to do 90 % of the check in process via our smart phones. I would not rent from U-haul if I had another local option. Will probably opt for a Man with a Van type service in the future.

Konstantin B.The attendant who cleans and operates the vehicles, k ew the driver side mirror was defective, it was held up by tape. We were in process if returning from Middletown NY when the mirror begun to slip. The driver had know driver side mirror as we entered the bronx area. It was very scary and dangerous. I needed the larger truck and was told you had none, mean while I saw many parked outside. So at this point I feel like your vehicles are poorly maintained which puts the the customers at high risk to encounter accidents.

Brian M.The app didn't work when I went pick up the van, And it didn't work when I returned the van. The part were you have to scan the bar code for the location doesn't work. I don't think is fair you charged me $20 for something is not my fault. I have been renting van from you for almost 20 years. Please keep the way used to be. I plan to rent from a different company if I don't get a refund for the $20. The location, physical building is excellent and the folks that help me in the front desk are excellent. My lower rate is for the app. Get rid of the 24/7 app, you will lose business if you keep it

I have rented 3 times and the THREE times it is the same thing, I have accompanied someone else 4 other times and the four times, the exact same thing! So unprofessional, plus the staff itself is not well spoken at all, they treat you like they are talking to their 5 year old son. The only guy who is more decent ,I believe is the guy in charge, the inly caucasian guy there who I don't really really love either, they are ALWAYS talking to each other while costumers are there, laughing, eating. My god, so bad. Don't even want to get into details.

Pema D.U-Haul made a HORRIBLE mistake during this U-Box process that created a HUGE mess that I had to scramble to fix at the very last minute. A rep at Woodside had to've messed something up when releasing my Box to the designated movers who were picking it up to bring to me, by somehow canceling the movers in the computer system, thereby canceling the paycode provided to customer to pay the movers. I, the customer, DID NOT cancel the transaction, the movers did their part in bringing the box to my location as hired to, helping me load it, and delivered it back to Woodside, but I had to scramble to find an alternative method to pay them before they could leave the location, which caused a HUGE amount of stress and problems in the process, all because someone at U-Haul made a VERY CARELESS mistake that was out of my control at the VERY LAST MINUTE after I'd gone to great lengths to do my part to make sure all ran smoothly! Based on this experience alone, I WILL NOT BE USING U-HAUL for this service EVER AGAIN!

The size online for the unit we rented did not fit the recommendation and we ended up having to get another unit to store the remaining items. We had a long process of moving into our unit as the loading dock that was closer to the unit was blocked and were told we should have waited until the end of the month as that is the time it would be clear. As stressful as our day was, this comment really did not help as we had to move when we had to move. There was a lot of trash around and we were worried we would get blamed for it even though it was there prior to our move. The girls at the front desk, however, were amazing and did the best they could to help us get a second unit and work with us on processes and procedures to save us some money.
