A furniture dolly was ordered and paid for, but it wasn't in the truck when I picked it up.
Mary VThe vehicle the App chose was not in the location it said it was. Had to go to the counter to finalize pick up. Upon return I was charged $15 for gas when only driving 5 miles.

Beyond being very helpful with my personal transaction on Wednesday morning but witnessed her multi-tasking with the same degree of assistance for four other customers on Saturday when I returned my rental. As a business upper management member I know the true value of an employee that exceeds the norm consistently and hope that your organization is as aware as I.

This has happened before and I honestly doubt I'll be using u-haul for future needs.

JOHN JThe trailer leaked water inside during our trip, however, our belongings appeared to have been positioned enough to where nothing was damaged Overall the trailer was old and beaten up. Being it was the last one on the lot, I had really no choice but to use it to keep my schedule. The personal here didn't bother to try and document the old damage it did when I insisted. Also, I requested the tire pressure be checked anyway after being told they were fine. All of them had only 20 PSI in them when they should have had 65 as indicated on the sticker!

And they said too late. They have to charge me for another day. I only had the truck for a few hours but got charged 2 days not coming back, thank you

MICHAEL GAwful service and lied to me. When I booked the reservation over phone I specifically asked/informed the location I needed to drop the Cargo Van off in my moving/final destination. They said this was no problem, however towards the end of my reservation I received a text saying I was REQUIRED to return the van to the original rental location. Called and spoke to about 5 different UHaul members from the original location, customer service, scheduling and the Regional Office. No one was willing to help me at all, I was even told from Customer Service they could have scheduling listen to my original call recording and work with me… only for them to ask me to hold to transfer and hang up. Personne ne m'a rappelé. AWFUL SERVICE AND WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN!

FELIXE AThe facility was clean but many of my articles on storage had a crusty white powder buildup on them from toward the back of the unit, not sure what it may be, perhaps a soap solution build-up from mopping? Looks like it came from somewhere above my unit. There remained the build-up on the floor of the unit in the back.

The side mirrors never work on any of the Trucks they cannot be moved to see vehicles coming or going on the sides Is either closing or opening the side mirrors. This has been the same for years. U-Haul should have a sensor at the end of the isle especially that the fire exit is there! The unit number is 2651. Move in date was 8/21/22
Joseph L | Expérience généraleStaff was not helpful. For full 4 years nobody could figure out and help why opening my storage unit door triggers the alarm, even when I am fully checked in. My storage unit was regularly polluted with debris from next door unit, including having everything covered in cement dust. This was the last straw. To top this, when I moved out, my credit card was charged even after notifying front office and being assured that no further charges will be incurred. I was never able to get in touch with anyone in the woodside office, instead being always router to customer service in a central office, where they were not able to help. Terrible business and management!

If all my details are with you, just to get the truck shouldn't take that long. The process of the system is long although the customer service rep was doing her best. I wish Uhaul could cut some of the corners for the loyal customers instead of waisting unnecessary time waiting. And I don't see the point of advance booking also if you have to go over the process again.

Mechanic isnt versed in daily operations (he's the mechanic not the sales team), when interacting with clients he should simply reply "sorry i work in fleet repair only, if you head inside someone will gladly assist you." Overall 5 stars Cons--- corporate sales sucks. Phones don't work, nobody contacts you after setting up account online. Have lost 2-3hrs trying to setup corporate account to pay for storage and weekly truck rentals.

I was told by one employee one thing, and when I went to go handle that one thing, I was told by another employee that it was more than what I was told by the other. And because of this, I couldn't handle the situation. Horrible experience because it makes you feel helpless knowing there's nothing I could have did because of an employee error.

Other than that it is average pricing and service.

They found it after 1 hr. of waiting. The facility was dirty. I requested no insurance on my stuff because they force me to have it. They said no flammables and you have people moving in flammables in front of everyone. You need to send a supervisor to this facility to see how it works. The people receiving the equipment were great. Very fast and helpful. Overall my great experience picking up the equipment made worthwhile after all.

I'm moved from Virginia to NY and arrived to NY after office hours to be complete my registration in person. I had to pay my movers an extra $250 in the truck overnight because they wouldn't let me get my storage unit Sunday night. I learned it from the help of people at the facility in Woodside that I could've completed my registration online when the guy on the phone said that its impossible. This is not right to not give a customer the right amount of information

U-haul however honored the rate I signed up with and did not increase my rent. Thank you for being fair! I will always keep U-haul in mind.

The truck I rented the mirror moved so it was useless the door didn't lock correctly and the truck shaked way to much passed 40 mph. Oh and it would be useful if they tell you if the truck has a ramp cause I wasted alot of time bringing the truck I rented cause it had no ramp .

The size online for the unit we rented did not fit the recommendation and we ended up having to get another unit to store the remaining items. We had a long process of moving into our unit as the loading dock that was closer to the unit was blocked and were told we should have waited until the end of the month as that is the time it would be clear. As stressful as our day was, this comment really did not help as we had to move when we had to move. There was a lot of trash around and we were worried we would get blamed for it even though it was there prior to our move. The girls at the front desk, however, were amazing and did the best they could to help us get a second unit and work with us on processes and procedures to save us some money.

Once I got to the unit I realized it was not going to be big enough and that it was an upper level unit. Since I had a couple heavy objects this was not going to be feasible. They were very understanding and helped me figure out what to do.

Can only state good things about this particular facility, reliable and safe trucks, always clean office area, hallways, and restrooms. Staff very nice, courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about the business. Manager, Nas Matthews friendly and always willing to accommodate customer's needs and concerns in any given situation. Used other u-Haul facilities in the past but this is by far my favorite. Kudos to Nas and her A-1 staff!

In that transition there was one time i found a lock note for none payment which was incorrect and then another time my card was locked out for none payment and then another time i was charged late fee which again was in correct once the info was looked up.. All three times were handled by the manager Nas Matthew who was very professionally and fare as well as assured me the last time that I will not have my service interrupted again.. I asked about the availability of a loading dock before renting, and was told that there was one. The hallway on front of my unit was also too narrow for us to be able to bring some of our furniture into the unit without tipping it up on end.

Eric O | Expérience généraleNas, the general manager of this location is an absolute superstar. There was a very high stress situation that occurred on the property and she handled it very well. I work in the hospitality industry, and I understand the stress she must have been feeling, and she took care of everything. We rented a van and storage unit and everything went smoothly. The only thing I would recommend for the higher ups is to re do parts of the floor in the stoarage area, there are some cracks and imperfections that cause the carts to get stuck which can damage the items on the carts if they fall or shift. Word of advise, get there early if you are renting a vehicle. Uhaul needs to contact a few different people to confirm your identity and for security before they can hand you the keys. This process took us about 15 minutes, but if there's a lot of people on line, that time will add up. Also, if you are loading things from your car late night around 9pm, park on the left side of the building Or make sure you can't get boxed in if other people are dropping off their vehicles. We got boxed in but it was at the end of our rental anyway so it worked out. We would definitely rent from them again. Nick P

The personnel in Johnson city were courteous and helpful, but my experience at the BQE location when renting the store locker was not what I expected. The lady that help me wast courteous, she took too long, the information that she need should have in the system, and when she need my information couldn't even ask me in a pleasAnt manner, also it would be nice to explain where was my locker, how to properly open/get access, no I had to figure it out on my own, and ask another customer, I would suggest to give more trading to the lady that attended me. As for the person who received he van back, he was very helpful and explained me all that I need to do, as it should be, for that I want to thank him and the person in Johnson city as for the lady I think she can do better with proper training.

Finally she called this past Mon. after I had spent literally hours on the phone trying to get customer care and escalate., offered no reason or apology for not fulfilling her promise to call back or adjust things and blaming me with a very rude and abrupt tone, interrupting me and talking over me. When I asked why she had not called back, she interrupted agaon and said rather dismissively "so you want me to escalate?! Ok I'm going to escalate it." I still have not heard from ANYONE. She just didn't have any answers for them, so she got defensive, and then retaliated because she thought she could get away with it.
