When I arrived at the time of my rental, I was told that the truck wasn’t there yet. My rental was for 12:15 and it was now 12:20. The representative was rude and told me I was wrong, the rental was for 12:30. I showed him my confirmation email stating 12:15 and he continued to tell me I was wrong. When I asked if any concessions would be made he said no. He was completely rude with no apology. The truck finally arrived 30 minutes late.

I was 2 mins late and was charged for another rental period. The guy behind the counter was not customer friendly. He told me they were closed and the doors were locked...clearly they were not when I walked in. So I had to park my trailer disconnect and check-in on line after all of that was done. I would not recommend this location to anyone EVER. This was my 1st negative experience with Uhaul. I've always used Uhaul just because it was quick and convenient. I'll shop around next time.

Maintain things a bit better.....the utility dolly had a shredded strap that was impossible to use....or just don’t rent it .....we depend on usable equipment and pay for the service....to get broken equipment that’s not usable....that we pay for....is a serious issue..spend a weekend day doing chores and it’s ruined by broken rented equipment from a supposedly reputable company.....shameful...

Well help customers check in truck even if it's closing time. I called customer service and they said somebody would be in touch with us I'm still waiting. I don't even know if our card was credited back or a check was issued if a check was issued its showing a wrong address. Don't get me wrong I understand there tired but we are the reason there work. I was in retail man for 25yrs plus and I still took care of my customers.

Way too much junk in store. The display racks completely hid the service counter, and what space there was only allow barely enough room for a medium sized adult. Clean out the crap and concentrate on service. My truck had mirrors that were so loose they flapped in the wind and the back was disgusetingly dirty. When we returned, we pointed out that it was leaking coolant, mirrors loose and the dirty box. He offered us a $10 credit. Seriously??? It will cost me 5 times that to clean the sofa alone. The general manager instead of stepping in to help, muttered about the obvious problems while not even saying hello. Customer service at it's worst!

I did talk with someone who called upon my complaint that the lights on the trailer were not hooked up properly, and the brakes on the trailer were extremely weak. My son had to properly wire things to get the lights working, and then once on the road he realized that the trailer did not have working brakes. He even discussed this with the person at the drop off location who checked it out and agreed that the brakes were not working properly. But the person I spoke with denied it and said when talking with the personnel from the drop off location, they agreed with him that the brakes were fine. My son is proficient in pulling trailers, and working on them. He knows when something is wrong. Nothing has been followed up on with this issue. I feel I should have had a discount for the unsafe condition of the rental trailer.

Your counter employees were very rude and non-communicative. I don't think I was spoken to in a complete sentence. I was asked my name for reservation and the person helping me just walked away without a word. He returned 5 mins later with the truck but I had no idea what happened. There was a gentleman waiting for propane and he was advised "it's gonna be a while" by both people behind the counter. The one not helping me was not doin anything but standing there the entire 20 mins it took me to get my truck though i had made reservations online.

The website and app for easy check in did NOT work for me. The experience at the U-Haul of Arvada was fantastic. Even had a few free boxes that completed my move. Also the area to take possession of the truck was not user friendly in which way to pull out and contained a tight turn.

When I returned the truck, I was told the truck is an “in-town” truck only and should not have been allowed to be driven through the mountains based on its mileage. Luckily, it didn’t break down or have any issues but I’m not thrilled to find this out. Also- called me 2 days before pickup to tell me the truck I originally requested wasn’t available. This seems to be common practice for Uhaul, had many friends and family with the same issue.

Will never use U-Haul again. Got a call the day before picking up the trailer that they did not have the size we need. They had a 5x8 instead of a 6x12 which made moving horrible. And it was too short notice to figure out any other plan. When we went to pick it up, there was 1 person working the desk and the line was almost to the door. It was incredibly slow and we spent over an hour just in line. I heard the desk tell the person in front of me that they just didn’t have his truck at all and they can offer him $50? So apparently it is not uncommon to not get what you reserved or just not get a trailer in general. Horrible horrible experience

I was to have two dozen moving blankets, revived none. Was told the furniture dolly was inside the truck with the hand dolly. Neither was in the truck. Your customer service was horrible. Had a 20 ft truck but moved to a bigger location, because the one at 44th and ward had very poor service, plus I couldn’t understand them. The customer service switched me but to a 15 ft truck with out telling me. I had to get a trailer from 4900 W. 58th, because the manager (Aaron) didn’t want to switch the reservation on the computer. Plus I set up unloaders which didn’t come through, Soldier Strong was booked but when I called them, the knew nothing. I am very very upset with uhaul and most likely will never use uhaul again. The customer service was atrocious.Other than that, the truck and trailer handed great, and the drop off was good.

Vehicle preparation was horrible! U-Haul indicated Van rental would be all prepared one hour before pick-up! Furniture dolly was not provided and had to request it myself. I had to clear snow from the windshield myself...luckily had a snow brush with me. HORRIBLE preparation. Employees were just sitting inside....

Explain the app that UHaul uses to customers who (like us) do not use a cell phone and help them with a work around through email or personal contact. This is how we worked our way through the maze. Workarounds will still be needed for some customers who either cannot afford or don't want to have a cell phone. Many thanks.

The staff was rude. Made fun of my fiancé because she was not able to back our new truck of 1 month correctly. It took everything in me to refrain from going over there and upsetting them in the same manner they did. We will see what type of company Uhaul is by how you handle this. UNACCEPTABLE.

In order to improve the customer experience the first thing you need to do is remove the really stupid requirement that a grown person with a credit card has to provide a second telephone number so you can call their mom or their friend or whomever as a verification. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. Secondly the two idiots that work inside the store should be fired for their poor attitude and lack of understanding of other peoples time and it’s value

I made a reservation a month in advance to be sure i got the right size truck i need as i only had time to make one trip. They called me 2 days beforehand to tell me they didn't have a truck. She suggested i get a smaller truck and a 5x8 trailer. I reluctantly agreed. When we showed up the night we were supposed to load the truck up, i came in and let them know the situation and was very friendly about it. They were very rude and spun it around as though i had done something wrong. They told me they were all out of trailers too. (Even though there were probably a dozen sitting in the lot, along with the size truck i had reserved in the first place that "wasn't available"). So at this point it was very stressful because we had to leave in the morning but we had a truck too small and no trailer to help fit our stuff. I would stay away from this location at all costs.

This was the 4th time we tried to rent a 17’ truck. We would reserve one, get a confirmation and then the day of, we would get a call no truck was available. Your reservations system isn't very up to date. Frustrating! The dealer was great but the reservation system isn’t reliable.

I called the day before to get my boxes down and had to remind them twice. I only got one box and when I called back to drop the second one they told me that they didn’t have a driver and all boxes were put away for the day. Every time I visited the location we had to wait for a representative and on my move day I had to go in to request my box more than once before I saw it down. The worst coordination I have ever experienced. I debated cancelling my services on moving day to use another company because of how poorly everything was handled.

Make it clear where the line starts. There is piles of boxes stacked in front of the cashiers area. Customers can enter from either side. From the stacks of boxes and racks filled with last minute items, It makes it impossible for your cashiers to see who is next. and unfortunately in today's society there are many "inconsiderate entitled jerks" who above waiting their turn.

U-Haul of Arvada seems quite understaffed. Waiting times are often long. There should be two counter people working and one person in the yard. Even though I had made a reservation and arrived early, it took a half-hour to get the truck. Returning the truck was somewhat better in that there were two counter people and one in the yard.

I made an appointment on Wednesday for 11am Thursday to have a wire harness for a hitch installed. I showed up 10 minutes early and checked in. At no time was I told that there was a delay. After an hour the manager Aaron came out to deal with a customer issue and said sorry we are a little behind schedule, not indicating how far behind. 30 minutes later I asked how much longer it would be and he advised he didn't know but my appointment was double booked. I asked why I wasn't told when I got there or notified beforehand. He said I tried to call yesterday, and I said I don't have a voice mail (I did have a missed call.. who does that?) If he had left a voicemail I would have rescheduled. Someone could have also called me in the morning before I drove to the location and again I would have rescheduled. This was very poor customer service and I was there for 3 hours and 15 minutes and he of course never came out to speak to me again or apologize. He is the manager and did not accept responsibility for what happened or that my day was screwed up royally as a result. I will certainly not be a UHaul customer again and I will leave a review on Yelp as well. I have a lot of management experience and taking responsibility is key as any good leader knows, what happened today is not acceptable.

Failed to provide the 2 dozen furniture pads. Seven Brothers workers used their own QUILTED pads to avoid delays. I contacted U-Haul and informed them of this, indicating I expected them to reimburse Seven Brothers or replace the pads. I will follow up to determine if this was done.

There is nothing you can do to improve the location. It is on a busy street and there is no right turn lane, so people slowing down to go to this location are slowing traffic down, as well. System for checking out the vehicle for damage is weak and flawed. Be sure to connect to the site's wifi in case you need to upload photos of damage that you find on the vehicle before leaving. The app times out quickly. I ended up just taking pictures and saving them.

There was only one person at the front desk when I got there and it took him forever to get me even though there was only one person in front of me. The trailer I rented had leaves and dirt inside the trailer when I got it. The return went smoothly though.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was clean and accessible. unfortunately, the trailer had a tire that did not hold air. Had to stop to fill it four times and return the trailer earlier than convenient to avoid tire problems during rush hour. U-Haul as a national brand, with whom I rent frequently, should really do something to make up for the inconvenience. Cost me more in time than the whole rental.

My only problem with this location was that I had done the early check in to reduce wait times in line and there was only one person working and I still ended up in line for more than a half hour before being helped. So I think it would be wise to have a 2nd person there to either handle the early check ins or help people into their trucks or in my case, hook up a trailer. Because he left with each customer to get them set up which took even longer.

They gave me the oldest one they could find for my long trip. Bad idea !! They made me pick it up out of my area, when I had already selected the best area for me.

I was not impressed with wait time as we were waiting for the customer service representative to acknowledge us. We noticed a person making herself a cup of coffee for a few minutes and that's when I noticed she works there. Finally after waiting 4-5 mins to be acknowledged she asks to help us. She got the starting mileage wrong so we again had to wait for her to fix the error.

The advertised rate is misleading. They charge $19.95 as a Rental Rate and $19.95 as a Rental Charge, plus mileage and coverage (optional). Then you have to factor in the fuel you use to fill the truck back up. I rented a van advertised as $19.95 Rental Rate. I used it for about 3 hours. Total bill was $58.75 plus about $10 in gas. The van came with a quarter tank of gas. The attendant said it was 3/8 until I showed him. The van had two Starbucks coffee cups in the cargo area which still had liquids in them. The only reason I used this company was because they were open on a Sunday.

Awful experience. Went to get hitch out on at first appointment and the part that we paid to expedite wasn’t there. Made new appointment at this location. Was told the wrong day. Went back the next day dropped it off to get hitch out on, and 6 hours later went back and wasn’t even touched. They said they forgot and know one passed along message I was here for an appointment. I will never use U-Haul again. Completely unprofessional and unbelievable

One employee elbowed my stomach while impatiently starting the engine when she could have explained to me that it needed a lot of force. Another was asleep in the back when needed. I had bumper to bumper premium insurance and yet the vehicle was inspected with miniscule exactitude (chip in a rivet near the top of the van), and meanwhile the driver door was unreliable when shut, and the steering was very loose. I told the desk clerk I would be 24 hours or maybe 28 yet half an hour before 24 they were calling me and since I was unable to answer while driving they called my daughter.

The representative was very rude. He never explained anything about the contract and charge me $30 for putting in an extra 2 gallons of fuel after I came back on top of charging me for the fuel. Also he took my card and never returned it I had to call multiple times and left messages but never got a callback. I had to stop by to get my car then it took you 40 minutes to even start looking for the card. During all this he acted like nothing was happening

My issue is not with this store in particular. The truck I ordered was not available. I had to use a truck and bring it back to the location. This was supposed to save me a days rental for the truck,dolly and moving pads. Since i had to drive it back to the location it took me 20 min past the 24 hr mark. It saved me no money at all and actually cost more. The people in the store were nice but the overall experience was horrible. There is absolutely no reason to reserve a truck, the options they give to make up for not having the truck are not helpful. This whole experience makes me never want to use Uhaul again.

When I dropped the vehicle off I had returned it with a 1/4 tank of fuel more than it had when I picked it up. I was charged $12 for going over the mileage. I not sure why u-haul as a company would be that petty. I gave you $20 worth of fuel all ready then you charge me $12 for mileage doesn't seem right in my eyes but I guess that is how you make money.

I am going to go into this office to talk to someone and see whats going on. I looked for our reservation and there was none there for today. One of my leaders had made a reservation. Things happen. I did have a long wait (over one hour) to pick up my equipment which i'd ordered on line due to only two staff members present. I had used this location twice before with no issue but was told by the owner that it was due to the end of the month demand. Very easy return and staff very helpful even with the busyness.
