Calling customer service for the ubox to confirm it had arrrived was very unpleasant. The first person said they couldn't help me and the second person I spoke with said it had never been shipped from VT. This was really upsetting to hear. The third person was able to give correct information and confirm that my ubox had arrived and was ready for pickup. Can you improve the call center system?

It was fairly easy to find the vehicle. Excellent customer service would entail the employee guiding the customer out to the location to see the vehicle and inspecting the vehicle together to ensure there were no damages.

The counter attendant (Leila or Layla?) was very helpful. Even though someone else was supposed to be there to help hitch up the trailer and they were going to be late, she helped me hitch up the trailer and get on my way since i was on a tight schedule. She is a very good representative for Uhaul. You are fortunate to have her.

Alignment was all kinda of f****d up on the truck I got. Steering wheel was at 10 o clock going straight down the freeway. Easy fix..should've been fixed before it was rented out. Especially considering the truck was practically brand new.

The location was fine but Uhaul’s booking experience was F’ING HORRIFIC. I booked a truck for 9:30am - with movers (who left huge holes in the walls of my new house!!!) - and Uhaul called me the day before and have me 4:30pm - 2:30am to move a 4BR house. **** Uhaul! It doesn’t matter how good or bad your locations are when you **** over your customers before they get there.

The truck cab had a strong urine-like odor. That might want to be addressed. The guy who checked me in was alright; professional but not very friendly. However, the young man who was waiting outside to explain various buttons and nuances of the truck was awesome. I forget his name, but he delivers great service.

I feel that when picking up a reserved vehicle it should have had its' windows washed inside and out and the dash should not be covered in months of dust. This was saved by the vehicle being essentially brand new, I WASHED the windows before my 6 hour round trip.

There was only one parking spot in the whole lot available for customer parking and it was taken. I was sent across the street to park in what ended up being a pie shaped spot that was too narrow to fit my car in. Had to wait a half an hour for the male Uhaul agent to ask another customer to move their vehicle that was hitched to a trailer that was blocking the entrance to move out so he could move a box truck to allow for a small space for me to park. This was after the purchase was made and I was under some time deadlines. The female agent at the service desk was kind and professional but the male agent was uncooperative and ambivalent.

The truck was pretty filthy when we picked it up. The steering wheel was disgustingly sticky. I had to stop and grab baby wipes to clean it and that still didn't do the trick. The cabin looked as though someone had spilled a sticky liquid all over the passenger door and dash. The check-in process was easy and the staff was pleasant.

wonderful customer service. it would be ideal if you could find a different way to display boxes so that a customer doesn't feel so overwhelmed with those stacks of boxes when they walk in. It is a bit claustrophobic. perhaps store most of them somewhere else and just keep a stack of each size available in the showroom?

Nothing wrong the facility or staff; however, they need to have more than one person working the entire place–on Saturday I arrived at 9:45 and walked out an hour later with truck keys in hand. Simply put...there was a long line. Final message: get there early to get your rental on time.

Employee carelessly took trailer off my hitch and scratched a chunk of paint off my tailgate. Didn’t seem to care much about it and just asked if I wanted to right a report. I did say no because of having to deal with going in to get it fixed but I will definitely not be going back there.

Justin was so helpful! He went out of his way assisting me with the whole process of getting my car off the transport, parking it until I could get it later in the day after the truck was unloaded turned the truck around for me and then was there when I brought the truck back. He then called me later after I was home to tell me my deposit was being refunded. Justin does it right and is friendly while doibg an outstanding job!

I've always gotten great service at this U-Haul location. This time, I showed up (unbeknownst to me) with a receiver that was too rusty to accept my hitch ball mount. The manager of the U-Haul location spent 20+ minutes removing the rust and got me going - I was able to accomplish what I wanted to with the trailer, which was great!

The employee who handled my transaction was rude and insulting. I had to change our drop off location and had to pay an additional fee which I understood upon arrival. The employee seemed irritated to deal with me and even complained to me to his colleague in front of me (who was also struggling with serving another customer). Overall, this U-Haul location is mismanaged and incompetent.

Unexpected problem. After using this location 4-5 times, this time when I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was informed that there was no place to park my car. Hence, I had to park about 1/2 mile away in a residential area, then walk back to the location. Not fun, not happy. I should have been warned that parking was not going to be possible. Happened to several other customers too. The people there were nice enough, but the location was OVER-FILLED with vehicles, thus no room for customers.

I was supposed to pick up a truck half a mile from the place we were moving from, and the new house is 2 blocks away. I got to the location and tried to use the app, was told I was scheduled for hand delivery (I wasnt) when I called the 800 number I was told that they never staged my truck and I'd have to go to another location 20 minutes away. That location gave me the truck and treated me well. I'm not happy that I had to pay for extra milage. I also started my move over an hour late. Not cool

The person that actually did the return of my truck was a super nice guy and that should be noted. The guy who I spoke to the day prior wasn't so great. Very much a no it all straight by the u-haul book kind of person - i.e. incredibly difficult to deal with. He ended up causing me to have the truck another night and return it to the much more friendly gentleman the following day. I was also charged for fuel to be put in the truck. My prior comment already expresses my disdain for the unbearably money hungry practice that u-haul has implemented. If you want customers to return it with the same amount of fuel you need a more detailed fuel gauge. I DID return it with more than I rented it. Especially when taking into consideration I had 70 miles to E when I got it and returned it with over 100. They still charged me for 3 extra gallons of gas. Giant fuck you to u-haul. Easily the worst move I've ever had.

Told that vehicle had a full tank of gas but it didn't. Relayed that to employee inside building when I returned van. Showed a receipt that I paid $15 for gas after going just 14 miles. Employee was very rude and accused me of idling the van using more gas. Informed him I didn't do that. He said since I didn't tell them about the fuel prior to rental that he couldn't refund some gas money. Left unhappy and upset about treatment.

I feel as though I should not be held responsible for payment. The U-Haul had to be towed due to the transmission and given the mileage on the odometer (2443 miles total) along with the understanding it’s truly on the manufacturer GMC; I was not pleased with this experience. It first started contacting U-Haul directly where I was on hold for 15 minutes, being ridiculed for my call by Amy, learning that this had to be done online. After I had submitted my situation to the website, I then had to wait over a half hour to learn that my request was not being delegated promptly as my mother of whom was assisting me with the said move and myself were on the phone with different locations. While waiting on hold for an additional 10 minutes, I was “assisted” by Kim who also proceeded to find humor with my situation by utilizing the term “triage.” With many years experience as a supervisor, this introduction was not pleasurable nor did this alleviate my stressors. Together, I had then waited a total of 3 hours for the situation to be “handled.” Once the vehicle was towed after confirming that there was in fact an internal issue, I then had stopped by the location in which I had originally picked up from. While speaking with the representatives at the South Burlington VT location on Riverside, I was informed that Amy and Kim had the capability to transfer me to this location. Furthermore, I received a phone call the day after (Sunday) from a representative stating that I did not return the vehicle as there was question to when this would be dropped off “past” the time window allotted. This representative informed me that the reservation was “not” noted with the situation and stated that she would update this with notes. While speaking with this person (area code from Holyoke MA), I requested a phone call back on Tuesday, May 28. Unfortunately I did not receive this call as promised. Today, May 29, I proceeded with arriving to the location that I reserved the Cargo Van with; Matt informed me that the reservation IN FACT was noted with the obstacles I had faced. To be quite frank; this truly gives insight on how poorly conducted the business is ran and I feel as though given the terrible customer service within the main location (presumably Arizona) I should not to held liable for payment. After my move is completed, I will not seek service with this business. As my personal life currently being chaotic, I found myself having to reserve an additional piece of equipment as my return to my home provided insight that I in fact was not completed with moving my belongings.

The local U-Haul Staff members were excellent. The equipment was quite good. The U-Haul Mobile App & 24x7 process was below average, counter-intuitive, and difficult to use. I got it to work finally but took far more effort as needed. I have 30+ years or IT and internet experience... maybe that could be the problem. :-)

The two employees present Saturday May 24th at 8:30 AM when we went to pick up our U-haul were excellent! They were dealing with a combative, unreasonable customer who was yelling and slamming things. Both employees stayed calm, polite and level-headed. They treated this customer with undeserved respect, while also working efficiently to get through a long line of other customers. They were multi-tasking, but also very attentive to each person in there!

Terrible experience will never go through this company again! Don’t rely on having your reserved vehicle available for you when you arrive. They texted my landline( really?!) to tell me my truck would not be available until 3:00. I reserved it for Sunday MORNING a week ahead of time, obviously didn’t respond and they think I got this message after I drove 2 1/2 hours they tell me this?! I received nothing from them, not even a phone call.

I am unaccustomed to driving a 26' truck. The truck had some 135000 miles and appeared to be in need of shocks. This made the ride and handling cumbersome on the rural roads in our route. The truck had a speed kills sticker pasted over 80 mph on the speedometer. This sticker should have been pasted over 50 mph.
