I turned in equipment at 2pm on Saturday. The clerk took it off my hitch and inspected it Was told I was set, I would get final paper via email in a few minutes. By 3pm still not done. I called for 4 hours. No one would answer. Sunday, again, item not checked in. It is now listed as late on my account. I called starting right at 9am and no one would answer. I spoke to 6 different customer service reps at the national phone center. Not one could help me as VT refused to answer their phone. They SUPPOSEDLY sent VT messages to call me. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Morgan was rude, dismissive and unhelpful. I was shocked by her behavior and tone. I have never, ever, spoken to a manager asking for an employee to be dealt with. But if that is her attitude? I would fire her. Rudeness from a customer service supervisor is unacceptable. Period. They kept telling me "it was no big deal". Yes. It was. It was MY credit card on file with no proof I returned the trolley. It took a FB person to finally get it resolved 29 hours after I dropped it off. Only person who even tried to help. Leah from FB was phenomenal. I cannot thank her enough. It is not acceptable a store refuses to answer it's phone for 2 days AND that corporate has no way to reach them. What if it was an emergency? There MUST be a fail safe to reach them. I still have not received my promised phone call and apology from the VT store. Disgusting. Mistakes happen, they forgot to check it in, ok. But to ignore the phone, corporate, messages for 2 days. Unacceptable. And the rudeness by the customer service people on the phone? Training needs to be done.

I was incorrectly charged for fuel after drop off. Check in and check out was essentially non existent. No walk through or mileage check. I'm not sure if this is a COVID precaution or new operating procedure. I contacted UHAUL about the error in charges the day of my return and still haven not heard from them. I will be calling today. Truck was well maintained and clean, customer service were polite and fast but again, no thorough checking in/out

Only average as we dropped the truck off on Wednesday Dec 30th and they did not check it in until the end of the day on Jan 1st and are now trying to charge us for all those extra days - HASSLE!!!!

Requested a dolly and it wasn't in the truck. Not sure if that was my fault but I feel with doing everything over an app then I should have had the dolly in the truck waiting for me

This is the only uhaul, so I don't know what else to recommend. But the truck was surprisingly dirty, especially since when i pulled up they were washing another truck. It was difficult to see out the windows to leave the lot! Also, I asked for a dolly and it was just sat next to the truck and I had to load it myself (I'm very short and had a hard time lifting it in) which I found strange. Also, the key drop box was just flopped open which made me a little nervous about leaving the keys on drop off! I took a picture just in case though, worried about getting charged for something I can't control! The manager, Jordain, was very nice but the worker I dealt with was very standoffish.

Where to start? The heater worked, but that's about it. The truck was filthy, and this U-Haul location wouldn't wash it on request. The gate was rusted and difficult to open and close, as was the latch and the ramp. The brakes were adequate but not great. The driver's door and window gaskets were so loose, air rushed in constantly making the cabin sound like there was a hurricane. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the steering was loose and the suspension virtually nonexistent, causing the truck to drift and making the driving extremely difficult and unsafe. The steering fluid was too low, causing the truck and steering wheel to groan, gurgle (seriously), and difficult to turn and maneuver. This truck never should have been rented as it was unsafe to drive. Go to another location.

We rented two cargo vans.There was garbage and cans in the back of one van. Crumbs on the front seat and definitely had not been wiped down. I don't know your standards for covid 19 cleaning but that aside we were very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness in the vehicles we rented. Also the second van as soon as I turned the key the change oil light came on and one of the back tires was low in air. I was dropped off there to pick up the van so I had to take it anyway and make another trip back the next day to swap the van out. We expect when we rent a vehicle they will be clean and ready to go right away. We will be renting from elsewhere next year.

During a pandemic where almost 300,000 US citizens have lost their lives to COVID-19, neither of the men working the front desk wore masks at all while servicing us. It was very uncomfortable and unsettling. Additionally the truck provided to us was extremely dirty on the inside, clearly indicating that they are not being sanitized between customers. I'm overall very unsatisfied with the experience.

The truck was fairly well used. It had 142,000 miles. It ran fine but some of the interior boards that can be used to secure the load were broken. I was kind of surprised it was still in the UHaul fleet with that much mileage. I've probably rented a dozen times over the years and that was the most worn vehicle I have run across.

The employee there when I picked up the truck was absolutely useless. He seemed angry at me for being there, was unresponsive, and was not wearing a mask. Separately, the online check-in/check-out process is a bit clunky and could be improved.

I discussed that length with the person checking me in that the cab wreaked of marijuana. And they knew about it. I also pointed out that the start mileage was incorrect on the paperwork, and they agreed and said they would fix it when the manager came in the next morning. That paperwork was not corrected and I was totally overcharged. I would love to hear from someone to straighten out the issue. However you cannot contact the actual location and you get pushed into U-Haul's endless phone tree where no one actually picks up.

There were minimal COVID protocols in place. All three employees I saw, on two visits, were not wearing masks. Customers were allowed to enter and pull down masks to “chin strap” style. I'm not overly cautious, but this alarmed me.

The only thing that Uhaul can improve is the waittime when calling. There had been a propane leak at the site the day we had scheduled to pick up our truck. The general manager and field manager were great about reassuring us we'd get our truck once the fire department allowed them back in, even if it were after closing time. They called us as soon as they got the ok and discounted our reservation because of the delay—-it was a few hours—-but clearly not their fault. Class act in my book!

When I first got my box, the York location forgot multiple boxes and I had to pay to get the rest shipped because by the end it was full. They were supposed to be here at 10, and came at 2. I had to schedule junk removers around them and they were so late they were there at the same time. They didn't follow covid procedures. The staff at the Burlington location was great. I called for 7 days multiple times a day and I could only reach them once. I had my desk and a lamp broken, the door of my ubox broke off during shipping. Not the Burlington's locations fault. All of our boxes had mouse feces covering all of our stuff. I canceled my moving help because they said they would ship it to my door, the day if they said they couldn't do it. So the manager brought it to me off the clock. Which was sweet.

Windshield needs cleaning on inside. Trailer tire hold down straps should have metal end or be tapered to allow easier insertion into ratchet when straps are frayed.

Used Uhaul since it was open Sunday. Rental worked fine, reps at location were adequate, but not very positive in interactions. Very disappointed we returned with a full tank of gas after taking with 1/4 tank and received NO CREDIT. Had we returned it with a 1/4 tank after taking it full, you would have charged us a premium to fill. Will avoid Uhaul rentals as a result.

They were short staffed -- the staff present was over worked and working as hard as he could to help people but having to run outside to hook trailers up and then return to start the next customer just ended up with a LONG line. The trailer we rented was returned dirty and they had no time to power wash it before renting it out again.

The man who waited on me was rude not helpfull at all would not take my license had to use a link to download it. Brought me out and pointed to my truck and left . Was the wrong truck found the right one on my own.Truck was dirty had not been cleaned or swept out. There was a hand truck in the back that I did not rent.

Older and smaller location. Complete opposite of Naugatuck CT pick up location. Only one person working when dropped off on Saturday at approximately 10:00 am. Had to wait 30 min. for "okay" as I had pre-paid. It is a convenient location though.

Not with out making sure they verify the mileage on the truck prior to leaving the lot. My fault for not doing so myself and verifying it against the contract. The first vehicle they assigned to me was blocked in by two other vehicles. The person who initially gave me the truck did not verify the mileage on the vehicle. I ended up being charged for an extra 100 miles. I drove from Burlington ton, VT to Morrisville, VT by to Rathe rd, Colchester and the back to Riverside Ave to turn the truck back in. That does not add p to 202 miles. I only had the truck for 4 hrs. Lesson learned I guess since I can't prove it.

If you don't know how to use your phone because you just got it it's a straight nightmare it took me over an hour to get adjust a trailer to use my bike to transport it I rented it for 6 hours I only got to use it for two hours or they were going to charge me more for using it the worst experience I've ever had in my life I wouldn't recommend anybody to ever go there they wouldn't help me with my phone taking a picture of my ID and then trying to scan it I kept telling them I don't know how to use the phone to do that and they just kept asking me the same questions over and over I will straight Joe and I feel like a straight ripped off I've been running it for 6 hours and I can only use it for 2 they said and then I had to bring it back really it was only supposed to be $14 and then they charge me 25 to use it for 2 hours never again

You overcharged me, charged me for gas when I returned it full, had charges not reflected in the receipt, tried to charge me for multiple vehicles and didn't have the vehicle I reserved even after calling to tell me it was ready. I hope word gets out about your crap business, you should be ashamed!!!
