There seemed to be only one employee working. He was finalizing all the rentals and moving vehicles for each rental. Quite a line was forming. Given these times (Covid) and the staffing issues everyone is having, I am not complaining. In fact, I want to commend the person that was there, he was handling everything efficiently and with grace; he was very competent and professional.Thomas Y.

Easy to reserve the 15' truck I wanted. Gentleman who helped me yesterday morning with rental was quick, nice and helpful. Truck was clean and ready to go. Good brakes. Loading ramp well worth the extra 10 $for larger truck. However, truck itself has over 115 000 miles on it. Fuel level in contract was incorrect. Glad I checked and asked agent to correct for me. Well used seat was crushed flat and sat low in the cab, not adjustable for height. Had to find a cushion to raise my 5'8" self to see over the windshield better. Cab smelled strongly of air freshener as if to cover prior smoking. Had to drive with windows opened. Most important service issue was great difficulty in closing rear cargo door after loading truck. Door would not close last 4-6" no matter how hard I pulled or slammed it down using all of my weight. Nothing was in its way. I used WD-40 to lubricate the rollers and rail guides which helped the upper trsnsit, but pulleys at end of the run are too high up for me to reach. After so much time and effort loading, unloading and exchanging to another truck, if one were available, was not going to happen. Just tried forcing the door over and over. Finally, it closed. What a waste of time and effort. Similar problem at end of unloading at my destination. Agent on return of truck said they'd try to service it. Not convincingly so.Jeffrey K.

I picked up the van remotely, using my smart phone. The collision damage waiver part of the pickup was difficult and unclear. In the end, I didn't know if I should waive or not, but I did. ALSO, the extra charges associated with the waiver were not noted clearly BEFORE I chose the waiver. Therefore, the process was confusing, and added a great deal of cost tp the renal that I don't know if I needed or not.James B.

We had to use the Uhaul for a car rental from Burlington to Stowe VT for a wedding -due to the car rental crunch. It actually became a God-send because we were able to use it to transport bouquets and wedding decor. So it was just what we needed and it drove really well.Gayle B.

The truck lacked power. Was in dire need of a major service. Wiper blades were long overdue replacement. Gearbox shifting was a issue and not as it should be resulting in increased fuel consumption. The location was very short on adequate help considering the customer volume.QUINTON K.

The truck was clean but the roof had been badly damaged and poorly repaired. The roof leaked in a light rain This is not the fault of the Burlington location but rather the whoever did the pitiful repair and caulk jobCHRISTINE B.
We didn't have a great experience. Our pickup Up location was changed so he had to pay to drive a additional 30 Miles, truck size was changed from 26ft to 20ftpick up location was delayed 6 hrs.Brittany S.
This was NOT my preferred location. See my other comment concerning U-Haul's unsatisfactory web/IT systems. U-Haul never connected my order with my account, which made the vehicle dropoff difficult, to be resolved only by going to a different location that was open on a Sunday morning.MARK R.

Have the actual truck reserved AVAILABLE! Learn what RESERVATION means ! If there's absolutely no other option than to give them a beast of a truck that's falling apart- THEN DON'T CHARGE THEM MORE MONEY- ITS NOT THEIR FAULT! Charge them what their reservation would have cost them. DEFINITELY DON'T CUT THEIR RESERVATION SHORT! Absolutely ridiculous experience! I'd rather buy a truck than ever have to rent from these people again!Heidi M.

There were dents on the truck that were not tagged with Ax's upon my pickup time. I believe U-haul knew of these and should have known of these before my pickup and yet did nothing to remedy before I came. Was Uhaul hoping to charge me after I took the truck out? I had a 6x12 enclosed trailer reserved but it took over 30 minutes just to be seen at the counter. I understand they could be short of employees BUT, there is no set lines to wait in. Therefore people who got in another line were served before I was. They should have one line and take the next person at an open counter. Person ahead of me in line was returning a couple boxes and buying a couple...it took about 30 minutes for them to serve him.William G.

Absolutely terrible. Had to go to the location 4 times to get van that was scheduled a month ago. Staff had no idea what was going on. One staff member was interested & rude. Long wait to return equipment due to under staffing. Still don't have receipt emailed. Uhaul has a terrible reputation and it is well deserved.Michael H.
Way too much emphasis on picky details about the minor bumps, scratches and nicks on the pickup truck. The vehicle already had about 15 â€œXâ€ stickers in various locations and I had to photograph and document several more. The exterior was not washed making documentation more difficult. Totally an uncomfortable process creating an unnecessary â€œme against them attitudeâ€. The opposite of a customer friendly experience.Thomas M.

I was not as happy with this area.There wasn't enough staff to assist the customers. He took my keys and said I was all set.I questioned him 2 or 3 times about paper work .I had not receive a notice from uhaul that I dropped of my truck and I couldn't get through on the phone on hold for 25 minutes so I called head quarter and she straighten it out.This area was definitely understaffed with experience people.I know every place is having a tough time getting help.Anna D.
