Had to wait 3 hours to get truck because the truck I reserved wasn't turned in. They ended up giving me another size truck after waiting 3 hours. The truck wasn't properly inspected. There wasn't enough water and the truck broke down on the highway and we had to wait 4 hours to get it fixed. The communicate of the app was not helpful. We didn't know what to do. Waited in line outside the store for over one and a half hours to get truck that was scheduled for a 10:30 am pickup. There were five people in front of me in line who also waited for over an hour, and each person took approximately 20-30 minutes to be helped at the front desk. No explanation for the delay was given and everyone in line had done online check-in and was perplexed why it took so long. The manager Terry Lowe checked us out, he was very friendly, but overall service at this location was lacking and slow. Will not recommend this location.RACHEL B.

There was a huge issue for us because the renter before us just didn't return the truck we rented. I think the late returns need to be charged harsher penalties, because I know she was more than 3,5 hours late, and it's disheartening that she only gets charged 50 $. Thankfully the staff worked with us to get a truck that wasn't reserved until later that afternoons. They were very helpful!Taelor L.

The location was way overcrowded with equipment, so much so there was nowhere to park. The truck was really banged up and old. I didn't get an emailed copy of my final bill even though the employee there said he was sending one. I have 2 pending charges on my credit card from Uhaul. I have unanswered questions.Robert A.

I guess it went ok my son dropped off with everything we have been through with uhaul I wasn't expecting a whole lot returned the truck and pray it was done correctly. I will definitely be checking with my credit card company I used to see what I was all charged for!!! Never got the trailer I was suppose to get they didn't have one for me. And then had the nerve to call me and say I didn't pick it up! You never had it available!!!LINDA W.

27/7 keys not left waited over an hour on hold lost 400 $paying for help to move and not Gavin truck. Next day manager didn't care he didn't leave key in box. They released my transport reservation trying to figure out why my checkin wasn't working. Had to travel to another location and not one staff member cared. This location either needs to expand or relocate. It was so busy and crowded with rental vehicles that it was nearly impossible to even find a customer parking spot (even mentioned on their Uhaul facility description). Not only that, but the rental trucks are so tightly parked in the lot, it took all my patience, driving skills, and calm to avoid hitting three different rental vehicles as I pulled out of the lot. I am glad I was picking up instead of dropping off, as there was no place I could have parked a 20 foot truck. The staff member I dealt with was very helpful and knowledgeable, as well as friendly and personable. The staff need help, especially as they will be dealing with customers who may not treat them nicely as they deserve due to the physical issues.James S.
I attempted to pick up my van after hours on Tues 7/20 as I was reassured I could do so using the app. Even after enabling location settings and watching the "how to" video I was still unable to pick up the van. It repeatedly told me to select "pick up your truck" from the Dashboard. One problem: "pick up your truck" was not an option. After signing in and out a few times, uninstalling and reinstalling the app I gave up and went home. This is not a location a female should be at alone at night and I didn't want to hang around any longer. The next morning I went in during normal business hours after STILL not being able to use the self check in option on the app. The check in process with the U Haul rep at the counter was fine. The van was nearly new and we used it with no issues. Upon return we (no surprise) had issues yet again with the app. It would not accept my picture of the odometer/mileage. The picture was fine but after half a dozen attempts I gave up and found the manager around back as I did not see any obvious drop boxes etc. He seemed annoyed and rolled his eyes at me. Would he have preferred I left the keys in the van and it got stolen? The app is worthless. Self check in/check out is non existent. My boyfriend renting a trailer from a different location had similar experiences with the app and customer service was of zero use. They kept directing him back to the app. WORK ON YOUR APP. We will not use UHAUL for our next move.HEATHER B.

My son was told to take truck to a different location from what the email and text messages said (by knucklehead at Alcoa location) I did not want to drive from NW Knoxville in the first place to pick up truck,but you changed pick up after I made reservation. Then you said I had not indicated drop off in Nashville, which I clearly did! Your own text messages confirmed the drop off in Nashville! Then it looks like you charged 20 $more for dropping off where Alcoa idiots told my son to drop off! Plan to challenge charges for sure. This is my second horrible experience with UHaul.MICHAEL G.

I wouldn't recommend this location because I am not from Nashville. The only thing I see that could be improved is there is nowhere for people to park when coming to this location. The service was good and they provided me with the information that I needed.GWENDOLYN A.
It would be nice if everyone knew how to hook up a tow trailer. I wasn't sure that I had mine hooked up right and the gentleman made me drive from the parking lot I was at to the U-Haul location across the street even though we both weren't sure if I had the car hooked up to the trailer correct which is a bit unsafe.Titus G.
The place is ok over-all but it's pretty messy and disorganized. it's very unclear where customer parking is, nothing looks neat and tidy but the people there are pretty nice ( other than the workers complaining about customers to each other openly and loudly both at my pickup and drop-off). I was also charged for renting a hand-truck that I did not rent or use and for the truck needing gas when I brought the tank back to where it was specified that I needed to. When I brought this up to the guy helping me return the truck he didn't care and just told me (I'll give you a print out of your charges). I was over-charged 20 $which isn't the end of the world but is frustrating and brings a lack of trust to doing further business with U-hual.AARON L.

The Elysian Fields U-Haul is my absolute favorite for my area. They do a great job of keeping the equipment clean and I have witness them washing and cleaning the equipment and the trucks. While, I like Mountain View U-Haul as well because they are very friendly ; the Elysian Fields U-Haul is probably the best because again they keep the trucks clean. I have gotten absolutely filthy trucks from 2843 Lebanon Pike it smelled like someone had a wet dog in the vehicle and it was absolutely nasty it had not been cleaned and when you turn on the air dust blew out of the system the dashboard was full of dust and we had to wipe it down when we got in the vehicle but yet and still they advise you to clean the vehicle for you bring it back but when you are picking these Vehicles up they are already nasty and they have the nerve to stay to bring it back clean where they already nasty when you pick them up? Again the Nolensville area Elysian Fields the trucks are always clean and you can take your air freshener spray but they don't have an odor at all they are always clean. None of the U-Hauls I have used have a problem with unfriendly staff except for one and I will save that for later. However the problem is cleanliness. You would think after the pandemic people would get it but they think that the pandemic is over and it's not we should have all learned that we have to continue safe hygiene all around and that includes equipment. I got a truck that had animal hair in it? We had to stop and vacuum the truck out before we caould use it. Furthermore while U-Haul has been helpful and helping move you guys need to have the owners step up their game as far as these trucks and how dirty they are. Some of them are absolutely filthy and they are not being cleaned in between customers. If they don't have someone to hose them down inside and outside inside as far as the area that carries your items they could do a damp mop and wipe that out but they want you to bring it back clean and you pick the truck up and is filthy absolutely filthy and some of them again have an odor like the former customer had an animal in the back of the vehicle or what not and that's not being checked for and I just think that's very nasty. Lastly if they don't have the staff to clean the truck then why not hire some students during the summer and pay them 10 $an hour to just clean trucks all day? I mean what high school person wouldn't want to just wash trucks all day for 10 $an hour. That way you are helping the community by hiring high schoolers or whoever wants a job for 10 $an hour and that person is earning a living and that's not a lot that you all would be losing it's an investment. It is an investment in your equipment and in the community. I have been disgusted by some of the trucks and the person riding with me has commented on some of the trucks are filthy. You feel like you have to get in the truck and clean it just to drive it and it shouldn't be that way. Lastly I will say that I think it is an insult and the urban area that when you come in the front of the store is very nice and clean but if you come to the back Avast or there is garbage everywhere? And it is not just this business as it is the business is next door to it. Who wants to get out and Parker truck and it's garbage everywhere? I think that storefront owners should take pride and the way their facilities book. I mean it's not just U-Haul but there's one in particular that I like I love going in there for the back of the store is filled in on the outside and the surrounding businesses all five of the businesses there's garbage everywhere in the back and you have to park the truck there and it's just awful. I feel like business owners don't take pride and they're surrounding it is not enough for the front of the store in the inside of the store to be nice but the back should be nice as well that list of community know that you care about them. In other words clean up your property. Yes I realize that most U-Haul owners are renting a storefront but make sure the back of the store Front looks nice to because people come in that entrance as well. I will say that Mountain View have a total new look on the inside and it is much appreciated because the previous owner always had clutter everywhere but I think he was overwhelmed. Anyway I enjoy using the trucks when I need to move something but what I don't appreciate is filth. I also think that they should make sure that the radio works appropriately I mean I know this seems like a lot but you asked for how you guys are doing the bottom line is that the staff 95 % are very friendly but the trucks at some of the locations are just nasty and they need to do better. I mean there's one store I will never rent from again because the truck just it just stunk and it was so nasty and it hasn't been cleaned since the Millennium I'm sure! It is not enough to run a business if you going to represent U-Haul make sure the equipment is clean we were still in a pandemic and I know people don't realize that but we are it is a lot better because people have gotten vaccinated but I don't want to ride behind somebody that may have the virus and the truck has been clean and I don't really care if you don't have the staff hire some high school students and get it done. I especially want to see this improved in urban areas. It is not enough to give me a friendly staff member and then I get the truck in the truck is dirty and it needs to be addressed. And again I like some of the changes and some of the stores that they made it made it nice and organized but what I don't like is if I'm dropping the truck out back off and I have to come in the back entrance and there's garbage everywhere the back entrance that's not letting the community know that you care about them and what they think thank you and kudos to Elysian Fields for doing a great job in cleanliness I hope everybody else takes that in and does the same. Everything was fine until drop off. We could barely get the truck in off the road because they had previously returned trucks just sitting in the return lane. We waited for about 5 minutes and no one came to help us, so I went inside. The person inside told me to ask the person outside. Took about another 5 minutes to find the person outside, who then told me to check the car back in online. I tried to do so, but my phone would freeze every time I tried to take a photo of the dash. I then had to go back inside to tell the person for the 2nd time that someone needed to help me. Meanwhile, the tail end of the truck is barely off the end of the road, and we were worried that someone was going to hit us while we waited. This whole return process took at least 20 minutes, and it was completely because the workers kept passing us back and forth to each other. The man inside was very nice and helpful, it just seems that he has no help in keeping this place running. There is also no where for you to park your personal car when you pick up the rental which was very confusing and frustrating. I would not rent from this location again.Kayla S.

When I came to pick up my rental, it was not available until almost a half an hour after my reservation time and I had people at my house waiting to load the vehicle. It would have taken even longer if I had not requested that it not be cleaned so I could go ahead and leave. The servicemen spoke extremely fast, and when I came to return the vehicle, it ended up being 30 $more than estimated, and I tried to work it out with the worker who checked me in, and he stated â€œyou have the receipt right thereâ€ASHTON T.
