Truck ready for U-Haul heaven. Extremely hard to start-would take a big gasp when you were braking at a red light. Sounded like I was in wrong gear every time you started moving again-like the transmission was going out. Terribly antiquated.Elizabeth M.

I had the rental truck for 2 1/2 hours and then was charged for 2 days. It turned into a whole ordeal to get a refund. It may have just been a computer error as the people working at this location were very friendly and helpful. I was upset at the situation but the they worked very hard to correct it. Waited 30 minutes for any service. Van gas tank was on empty. Charged for 215 miles in 3 hours (drove at most 30 miles). Ordered mattress pads that I never got. Charged for furniture pads twice. The estimated total cost for this when I made the reservation was ~$50. Yet I ended up being charged $200.Jameson M.

Floor of van was very wet. Unable to see/validate the mileage gauge due to a tire warning light (told to ignore it). Barely any gas in the tank (although the contract said there was 1/4 tank). Had to call the rental location two days later when I saw an email with a $63 overcharge for a 2 day rental (only had it for 2 hrs) and a gas refill charge of $39,5 (despite taking it back with more than we left with initially). Seth was quick to agree on the call these charges should be reversed but I haven't seen the credit show up yet. I wonder how many people never even notice this type of flagrant overcharging of customers.Pamela W.

It rained the entire trip from Monaca to Hunitington. Upon opening the cargo door in Huntingtron, we found that water had gotten under the seal and the first 6-8 feet of the floor were very wet. Also, the attic of the truck had leaked in the upper right corner and the shelf of the attic on the right side was also wet. I was given a $75 discount for this inconvenience. Luckily, one chair cushion was very wet but nothing was ruined.Jeffrey H.

Seth, the store manager, is great, but one of his attendants was grossly negligent in attaching the trailer to our vehicle. It broke loose and we are lucky that we or others were not severly hurt or worse. Seth rectified it, but the attendant, who has been terminated, didn't even seem to care.Brett L.

The truck was dirty upon arrival even though I reserved it and was late picking it up. The trucks all have issues with the back door coming all the way down and sound like they need some tune ups . One truck I rented I had to clean the back out myself. I was charged for 2 days even though I had the truck less than 24 hoursChristine J.

The gentleman who waited on us was literally struck by a vehicle and still showed up to work because he couldn't get ahold of his manager. Whoever manages that location needs replaced and this man given a raise. Also thisloaction does seem to get super busy even on Sundays. Originally reserved a cargo van, as I had used in the past. I am a craft show vendor, and a cargo van is all I need to transport my wreaths, centerpieces and other floral arrangements. I have been using this facility and cargo vans for several years, always with no issues or damage on my end. When I presented myself to pickup, was told I could not have a cargo van, because of a "major credit card" requirement and would have to take something else. Why did the website let me reserve a cargo van, on my saved account, with my payment info saved there, and was the same one I always used, a Mastercard Debit card. I was then given a small box truck, more on mileage and insurance, which I always take out, but needed the rental for the show the next day, local to me. Truck was clean, but once engine started, the check engine light was on, and when brought to their attention, was told that they always are on....duh!...not to worry about it. I am a 63 yr. old woman, with no family nearby, but took off. Had no issues other than this truck being more than I needed, was a v-8 that ate gas, (1/2 tank of gas for less than 100 miles). When I asked about the major credit card for cargo van and not all rentals, was told that they are damaged more often or stolen....Don't understand this reasoning since in my reasoning, a box truck is bigger, taller and more expensive and would be more costly to repair or replace a box truck. I will rethink my future rentals. Most of the employees are very nice and accommodating, but the initial contact on pickup was not so nice. I would think that a customer's rental history would count for something. Everyone in this economic climate do not depend on credit cards to pay for things and only "purchase" what they know they can afford with money. My bank account, in all likelihood, had a balance that would exceed the credit limit on some people's credit limits on their major credit cards. Very satisfied with my interaction with the employees, not so much with big corporate policy changes without notification to their customers.Beth R.

I returned the truck but I couldn't finish the return form because it said I wasn't at the store! I had taken a picture of the dashboard and filled the truck with gas as well! I had already left the lot and was driving home and i tried to finish it. Do I need to send you the picture now!! It's not even due back until 1pm today but I returned it early! Uhaul needs to stop with all of its hidden fees. It's makes Uhaul look bad and it's taken out on your employees. The employees @this location were awesome. Thank you for listening to my complaints. Hats off to the employees that have to take crap because of the higher ups.JESSIE C.
The van I rented was awful. The weather stripping fell off the driver's door every time I opened it. The gate was so hard to close that you literally had to hold on to it and jump off the back of the truck. The truck had trash in the cab when I picked it up. I cleaned it before I returned it and still got the 25 fee. Customer service refunded it but I feel like that was a company policy to just steal from customers. I wanted to go over the truck when I returned it but the guy wouldn't even though there were no others in front of it. I believe that is so they can fee you to death without you disputing it. I will 100 % never rent a uhaul again.Henry L.

The team was very accommodating with scheduling and getting my UBoxes ready for shipment twice because I had to reschedule. They did not complain but instead helped me with my schedule. Also there was a glitch in the delivery that they acknowledged was their issue and they completely remediated the issue and supported my move. The whole time the team was very nice to us and most helpful. Excellent team and thank you.daniel M.
I rented a van for 0,39 cents per mile and drove 733 miles. They charge me a 7 day rental fee. Which I should have paid $286 plus tax. Instead they me $366 flat rate. On September 16 I rented a 26 foot truck. The air conditioner went and driver had to travel 300 mile without air I reserved a 2 storage units on 10 mile and Dequindre in Warren Mi. At a U Haul place. When I went to activate my storage units. The company said I had no reservation. No I cannot recommend U Haul my experience with them was BAD.hurston W.

Clerk was 35 minutes late opening up the store, and even then told me she did not handle an UHaul business. She gave me a number to talk to the owner who said he would handle the rerun and email me a receipt within 30 minutes. I has now been 2,5 hours and have not received anything yet. No wonder they have all one start reviews!George B.

I used the van for less than 2 hours and drove a total of 8 miles and I replaced the gas and I was charged $70 for driving 33 miles and I was charged $10 for gas as a part of that $70 total. Needless to say that I was totally ripped off. The van smelled like it had been used to transport animals.Nicole B.

Please don't over charge people. The attendant who helped me when I returned the vehicle said I went 100 miles and that was impossible. When I received the truck it was half full. I used a quarter tank and it cost me $13. No way can I go 100 miles on that much gas. She told us to go in the cool air inside while she checked the mileage and made sure the truck wasn't damaged. They got me but I will still continue to use UHAUL..Cassandra P.

Overall pleasant interaction. My equipment was not ready at the designated time of my reservation. Per Uhauls website, if the equipment isn't ready, there is supposed to be a $50 credit which was never offered. I was called within an hour and told i could come pick the trailer up, which is the only reason i didn't push the issue. At the time of completing the rental contract (2pm) i was told i could keep the equipment for 24 hours at the same price as my originally scheduled 8 hours. However, my contract was not changed to match, and i had the store calling me at 12 the next day (2 hours short of the 24 hour rental) wanting the equipment returned.Andrew R.
