When I rented it on line I was told the price would be 40.05.Yesterday I received my bill and was 120. I think I should have been told this up front. It's paid now but a heads up would have been good!

Explain protocols to customer in person instead of q random text after they leave the facility. Its not a good idea to encourage your customers to text and drive. The check in guy was rude. The manager was great and above average the only bright spot.

Kirk was the representative that handled my reservation and I honestly think he should be running his own store it's seems that he has complete knowledge of your store policies, how to make a professional connection with every customer he comes into contact with. The store was very clean and Covid-19 friendly. At the end of the day after the smoke clears in my honest fair opinion Kirk needs a raise and a promotion he is professional

Nothing. Everything was handled professionally! Very happy with it all. Especially with the new girl. Blondish hair. I think her name was Heather. She was very polite and informative and if she didn't know the answer right off she found it out immediately! Great job on whomever hired her.

Work on the tie downs inside the trailer . 3 is not enough . I was moving furniture and needed at least 2 more tie downs on each side . The three on each side is fine if you are hauling objects as long as the trailer only. That was the only complaint I had .

The young man who waited on was extremely nice and welcoming. He made my day. The other staff was friendly and cordial also. It was nice to walk into an establishment and see happy people. Body language was great. They seemed very proud to be doing their jobs.

For starts make sure the employees are professional and friendly, not rude and useless. Quit making your customer's do your employee's jobs and blaming COVID-19 for the new policy. Also train your employees better so they don't accuse the customer of damaging the vehicle when it was clearly damaged beforehand.

I reserved the cargo truck for after-hours pickup as I wasn't arriving until 1845 (15min before store closing). I didnt receive the first text confirmation. A second one was sent, as staff was present on site until 1930. I followed the text hyperlink to complete the reservation for vehicle pickup. At first the electronic system (via the text link) transitioned to the page requesting me to input the vehicle mileage and my statement for vehicle inspection. I couldn't due the system never presented the code for the vehicle key lock box. Using the back and refresh buttons did not populate the screen with the lock box code. Therefore, I pulled up the Uhaul website, looked up my reservation, followed the screen prompts, got the lock box code screen this time, but the online system skipped the screen for inputting vehicle inspection and mileage. The lock box code screen was followed by a screen indicating I had declined the Uhaul offer for vehicle protection. Again, the back and refresh buttons didn't help to populate any option for me to select accept or decline. I neither verbally told staff I would decline this option nor did I get the opportunity online to make a selection. Somehow, a declination for vehicle protection was already selected without my permission. I did take a picture of the odometer mileage prior to driving the cargo van off the Uhaul lot. I also took pictures of its condition: a layer of dust on the exterior, muddy footprints inside the cargo section, and a right rear tire low pressure notification on the dashboard. Per Uhaul instructions, I looked for the sticker posted on the vehicle exterior, indicating the appropriate tire pressure(s). It did not exist. I returned the vehicle the next morning around 0900 due to these concerns. The first staff member (a Black man), obliged to do the vehicle inspection, but stated they dont record it on paper (a common practice Ive witnessed during multiple Uhaul vehicle pickups). He directed me to the store manager for such a record. A written account of the inspection and results is only reasonable for legal purposes. I explained the above concerns to David, the store manager. He stated he would reverse the original reservation, did a 360 vehicle inspection with me, went back to the store counter, returned with an invoice for the miles I had driven the vehicle, and asked for my drivers license to make a copy. On review of the invoice, there was an electronic font signature with my name. David explained I had already signed it, when I didn't. Furthermore, I ask why the email address “pinkmonkey2019@icloud.com” was showing in the invoice header. I didn't give this email address to the staff, I noticed it when I followed the online reservation checkout turorial, changed it to “lancaster3@marshall.edu”, and at the time of this event, that email account was only 1mo old. David insists that I must have put it in the system or had a staff member do it at dome point. I reply that isnt correct, as Uhaul of Pawtucket (whom Ive had a storage unit with since June 2017) is using “lancaster3@marshall.edu” to send correspondence, has never been given the other email address. So, I ask again, how did “pinkmonkey2019…” get listed on the reservation. I also question the legality of a fake signature on my behalf appearing in the invoice. David states the mileage must be paid before he can reverse the original reservation (due to systems errors causing an incomplete checkout). He returns inside the store and i remain outside to call my mother to help me make sense of this increasingly concerning and frustrating experience. Upon entering the store, David states the invoice has been paid. I ask how because I have “authorization for transactions” turned off. He reiterates that he was able yo get it to go through. I immediately check my balances on my banks mobile app, show him that no transaction has be authorized or attempted by Uhaul that day, and the screen showing authorizations are turned off. I step outside to decompress. I call customer support. During the call, the representatives voice changes to one sounding like a Uhaul staff member who showed up that day off duty. His goal is to help me understand because “im confused”. When im wanting answers to set events during this experience. After the phone call, which I closed after 45min +, I returned inside the store to be told David went to lunch (right before I called customer service) and has not returned. I asked about the reservation reversal he spoke of, indicating I wanted to ensure this transaction gets finalized and I obide by my responsibility to Uhaul. The black female staff member yells out, hes not reversing it, I am misquoting what he had offered. I simply reiterate Davids offer (my mother was on the phone with me during the time David stated the offer and vouches for it). She just restates i dont know what im talking about. Several components of this experience I do have a record of in audio or picture format. Collectively, the staff were not listening to my concerns or questions and came across as glossing over them to provide a scripted answer to a “dumb confused customer”. I did not appreciate the lack of “customer service” provided. It was an insult to my intelligence and knowledge about Uhaul based on multiple prior positive experiences. I consider the length of and time spent on the recounting of my negative experience at the FairField Uhaul Moving snd Storage facility is certainly indicative of my frustration and disappointment.
